Hello community,This is probably a trivial question, but I can't find the answer: I deleted some archive hard drives that continue to appear in the Lightroom Classic catalog volume series. I want to delete these now-useless drives, but I can't find a way to do it. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance.
When I'm not looking at my computer, the settings for grain readjust themselves. Always to the same point. Grain 56, the other two to 38 and 39. I don't touch anything. I'm sleeping, I'm eating dinner, then I'll go to do some work and when I open up a picture, it looks like a mess. I used to panic; now I just scroll down the grain section and always find that phantoms have increased the grain drastically, and always to the same point. Weird, huh? Any ideas? I'm running Lightroom Classic 13.3 on an iMac loaded with Sonoma 14.5. Many thanks, in advance.
If I want to export an image and would restrict the size then I always get the following message: "Hard disk does not contain any photos." An export does not take place. How can I fix the error?
To nessa aventura aí galera, podem ajudar?
Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a serious and frustrating issue with Lightroom Classic on Windows 11 when GPU acceleration is enabled.Problem:Whenever I hover over the image (e.g., in Develop module), or make adjustments like:CurvesExposureContrastMasks…the image flickers, jumps, or visibly shakes. It makes precise editing nearly impossible. The issue occurs on all files, including different RAW formats and previews. It also appears when zooming or moving between modules.Temporary fix:Disabling GPU acceleration completely in Preferences > Performance resolves the issue. However, that’s not a long-term solution – this is high-end hardware and GPU acceleration should be fully supported.
When picking a selection to make it a target selection, the right click menu does not show and option to make that a target selection!I'm using Lightroom Classic only.I have logged out and login againI have shut the computer and re started it again ( a few times)I have tried to update lightroom from the "update apps" menuCould some one please help!Thank you
My LR has been updated automatically in my MacOs. It seems that denoise AI disappeared, instead Adobe added new (not intuitive) option in "detail" section. Ok, I figured it out after about 30 min (as I said, it is not intuitive). The problem is, LR doesn't save the status of the denoise process. In old way, LR created dng file (denoised), and LR known which photo was processed. Now, LR doesn't know anything. When my denoise for +300 photos has been drastically stopped (some error or whatever), when pasting settings again, it's starting from the beginning! Its feature or bug? Is it possible to work with old flow?
I have LRC on my MacBook and LR Mobile on my Android. My Creative cloud is 6.5GB with 2100 items synced from my LR Mobile as expected.I set up a Collection in my LRC to sync a few selective items to the Cloud.ISSUE:When I turned on sync to upload only my synced collection in LRC it also synced and downloaded all 6.5GB of the items in my CLOUD. IS THERE AWAY to only sync my Collection Folder which is what I expected. I do not need 6.5GB of items downloaded from the cloud on my Macbook in addition to that which is in the cloud itself. Can anyone explain why this is happening on LRC and how to prevent it?
Hello everyone, thanks for reading.Let's say I decrease the saturation of a photo by 90.If I then select a specific area using the mask tool and increase the saturation by 90, will the final result in that area be the same as before any changes were made? And if I reduced the overall saturation by 90, then selected with the masking tool, for example, a yellow jacket. Then, proceed to the yellow slider and increase the saturation by 90.Will the yellow components of that jacket be the same before making any changes? Is this the answer always the same with contrast, texture, sharpness etc?I am very proficient with the program, but I don't know the answer to this yet. Thanks.
I have an M1 MacBook Pro, 2 TB HD. I use the uptodate version of LrC. Currently, my computer HD stores my catalog, catalog backup, and images. I am running out of computer HD space and want to move catalog backups and images to an external HD. It is better practice anyway. I have the following questions:Is there any need to partition the external HD to separate catalog backups and images? I wouldn't think so, but want to be sure. How do you determine the optimal external HD size? What is the best strategy and process to do back-ups of the images? 2nd external HD? Back-up software? Backing up to the cloud is not an option for me due to internet speed/bandwidth limitations. Will be running low on USB-C ports. Any recommendations for Hubs? Thanks!
I updated to LrC 14.1 today on Windows 11.Now when I go to import new photos, my Import Presets, Develop Settings, and Metadata presets that I always apply on import are missing. Anyone else seeing this issue? What's the solution?
So the other night before bed I went to shut down my computer, closed Lightroom and it prompted me to backup, so I did (I always backup when prompted weekly). Next day I fire up the PC, open Lightroom and it's completely empty and starts the tutorial (where the arrows point important sections) as if I had first opened it. The library was completely empty and the catalogue disappeared. I looked in my Lightroom folder (Pictures>Lightroom) opened the catalogue inside and it's empty. I contacted support, they took remote control of my PC and tried to open a backup catalogue, but the most recent backup is from January, and after searching my whole system for a .lrcat file the support advisor just told me that it has gone for good and they couldn't help any further. All the collections photos are still synced to lightroom mobile and web, so I can access them on there, but the desktop catalogue is gone and when opening my old one it will resync with mobile and ill loose all the edits. I ha
Hi everybody !Ok, it look me a while to gather the entirety of the problem, but here I am :LRc constently freeze, like every 5 minutes when I'm editing.I noticed that when it does, I could see from the performance tab is windows task manager that it also completely saturate my local disk with writing: it suddently peak to 100% activity, and stay to 100% until I kill Lightroom. In the meantime, my processor and RAM seems to be unaffected.I had to investigate further to find this "dumps" folder in AppData/Roaming/Adobe/CRLogs. The mf was like 100go and is also began to saturate C: drive. I find multiple discussions in here saying that I can delete the files in it without breaking anything. So I did.But the main problem remains: LRc keep suddently writing like mad is this folder (the 17,6go file from my screenshot was creating during the 2 minutes it took me to take the screenshots), and that make it freeze until I kill the task.I already used Adobe CC cleaning tool to uninstal CC an
When I installed the 14.4 update, my LrC broke: it hangs and hangs and hangs... It's unusable. After 3 days of getting run around by "technical experts" at last one admitted that if there's not 16GB RAM, it won't work. Wish I'd known that before ... I installed an earlier version (which worked before the new update), and it's broken too. I hate Adobe!!!!!!!!
I use lr classic to import photos from full frame cameras as well as my smartphone. The smartphone shoots at 4:3 by default. I prefer 3:2 like a normal camera. Unfortunately lr does not support saving cropping as a preset so every import I must crop one photo, select them all from that import batch, then sync that crop. So annoying. Why can't I save a crop ratio to a preset?
Remove>Distraction Removal>People is not finding people. I get the message "No distractions found." I am using photos where the people are far enough away so Lightroom shouldn't recognize them as the subject. But they are close enough and spread out enough to recognize them. Why isn't this working?
Hello I am experiencing - what i feel is below par - precision in masks. In this particular example, i am showing a screenshot of a subject mask that i am currently refining. Is this simply limitions of the program, limitations of my hardware, or is it a bug? Is it maybe possible for us, as users, to gain the ability to refine masks more automatically in a future update?I am using Intel Arc integrated graphics, with 32gb of RAM and an Intel Ultra 185H processor.
So I lost my completetly lost my preset I had made but when I upload a photo I have used my preset on the histogram shows up does a professional lightroom classic user know how to copy it and remake it??
Hi there,I’m trying to mask certain areas in an image. I already created a perfect mask by editing a virtual copy of the photo. Now I want to apply this exact same mask to the original image – without any changes or recalculation. I just want to copy the mask 1:1 from one image to another, without Lightroom re-analyzing or adjusting it.Is there a way to do that? I’m getting really frustrated over this. Any help is much appreciated! Also: Is it possible to convert an AI-generated mask into a “normal” mask once it’s created? That would solve my problem, I guess. Thanks!
Hi, I've been using LRC for around 7 years, the last 3 years downloading pics from an iPhone 12 without any issue. I use it on an Acer Swift Laptop using the latest version of windows. Recently when downloading approx 60 images at one time the download stops around half way through and will not download the remaining images. I get a message saying the files are corrupt or similar yet I'm doing nothing different to what have previously been doing. I've tried different USB cables, different sets of photos, downloading 15 photos and again it will only download half of them. Any ideas?
Hi, this is my first time posting here and overall I have been very happy with Lightroom. I use the Classic version (standalone) on my Mac Studio. For several years and generations of various Mac HW, this has worked very very well. Today, it seems like I am unable to "import" as the import never finishes. I updated the App to 14.4 today (latest) and still have this issue: HW and SW configuration: Mac Studio M1 Ultra with 64GB DDR OS: Sonoma 14.6.1 Location of Catalog: on Macintosh HD - local SSD for Mac Location of Photos: External SSD connected using TB4 XML file for metadata: enabled at import Problem The photos cannot be imported "in location" on the external SSD. This is working fine for tens of thousands of photos already in the catalog (they're all on the external SSD). The import process starts but never finishes. The folder has ~700 photos, but none are imported into the catalog. Changing the option to write the XML files at import has no effect
Updated to LR Classic 14.4. Initially everything seemed OK. Managed to do a few HDR merges, but now when I try, I get the preview screen coming up, but once I click to actually do the merge, it gets a little way into the process an then the progress bar just seems to stop and the merge doesn't complete, even after like 10 minutes. The interface is still responsive. It's just the merge process that doesn't complete.I have tried restarting LR and my PC but that doesn't seem to fix it.I also downgraded to version 14.3.1 and it still doesn't work.Seems properly broken, which is very annoying, as I have client work to do.
