I want to be able to connect to my Apple icloud 2T storage. Is this possible?
I just moved lightroom from windows to a macbook. I installed lightroom on the mac. I exported the catalog in windows and moved the exported catalog to the mac. I moved all of my photos to the mac. In lightroom I opened the exported catalog and linked the catalog to all of the moved files. Everything looked greate and I could navigate to each photo. However, when I try to move a photo to a new folder I get the message. file could not be moved to the selected destination. (1). I checked all the file and directory permissions and everything lookled fine. I used finder to move the file to the new directory and it worked perfectly. I removed the photo from the lightroom catalog and imported the photo in the new directory. That allowed me to move the file around in lightroom to any directory. However, moving any other photo gave me the same error message. On the mac I granted Lightroom permission fo
Bonjour, Je galère depuis plusieurs mois maintenant suite à un soucis de syncronisation des méthadonnées, qui me bloquaient les photos dans la synchro. J'ai décider d'ouvrir un nouveau catalogue dans LR histoire de repartir à 0, mais voilà qu'il s'est mis à télécharger 49566 éléments, dans la fenêtre de roue cranté, cela indique téléchargement des ressources de la librairie adobe en ligne. Lorsque je clique sur une ligne ça m'envoi sur LR en ligne (internet) et sur une photo que j'avais dans le précédent catalogue. Si vous avez une solution pour m'aider car je ne m'en sors plus j'aimerais repartir sur un catalogue propre & qui se synchronise sans couac... Merci d'avance et belle journée {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
About three days ago I encountered an issue with either lightroom classic or photoshop (not entirely sure which one), when I use the option of "edit in adobe photoshop" from lightroom it opens photoshop and then doesn't import the image and proceeds to freeze, every single time. I then have to force close photoshop with task manager to get it off my screen. So far I have tried the following to fix it: 1. Reinstalled my GPU drivers 2. Made sure all my other drivers were up to date on my pc 3. Made sure there is sufficent storage on my pc 4. Reinstalled both lightroom and photoshop with and without keeping preferences 5. restarted the pc multiple times None of these solutions have seemed to work for me so far which is a pain in the ass as not only have the apps been getting progressively slower over recent months they are now just fully not working. PC Specs for those wondering: Intel i7-12700k Asus dual oc 4070 with 12GB of vram 32GB of DDR4 RAM 3 2tb NVME's
This might be something simple, but I've troubleshooting in every way I could think of. I am trying to create the same exact photo book but with my color images. For some reason when I try to add my color images (collection), the book resets, and adds all of those images in randomly which I do not want. I've tried dragging the folder down to the main bar at the bottom, but that doesn't work either. I tried looking for an option where I can save the entire photo book layout as one and reopen it as a template. This I am still searching for. Is it even a feature? I just need some options or ideas. There's got to be something I'm missing here. What is the easiest way to continue making photobooks with the exact same inside layout? I would like to keep all of my flower books the same. Thank you for any useful tips.
Lightroom Classic 13.2 is not importing GPS Location Data. original files contain GPS coordinates. strangely panorama shots taken with the same phone camera (Huawei p50pro) imports the GPS coordinates correctly. i am importing the files by synchronizing the target folder. all import settings are set to "metadata is set to none in the "apply during import panel.i am running the latest Mac software Sonoma 14.4. i have tried Read Metadata from File' to force Lightroom to pull GPS data from the original files, but it didn't work. i have also tried synchronizing the folder again after importing them into Lightroom. I have also tried importing the images directly through the import option below the navigator pane. Still, the same result-no gps coordinates How can I fix this issue?note: I have viewed the images in Adobe Bridge with the same result. the panorama shot has the GPS coordinates but not the normal jpg.note 2. all location tags are on on my Huawei P50pro in all modes, also the gener
How did this box get there, and how do I get rid of it? Thanks.
I'm on Lightroom 14.4 on Windows 11. I have a calibrated wide gamut QD-OLED display. I made a v2 ICC profile in CalMan, and have this set as my current display profile. I grade an extremely saturated image that I know is well outside of sRGB gamut. I want to see how it looks in sRGB. When I enable soft proofing and pick sRGB I can enable the "show destination gamut warning" and indeed the whole image is outside of sRGB. Cool. But... Lightroom doesn't simulate it. I toggle between soft proof enabled and disabled and there's no difference. Bringing this into Photoshop and soft proofing for sRGB looks as expected. Significant desaturation when it's enabled. In Lightroom I can only get the simulation if I pick a printer profile and enable "Simulate paper and ink" in soft proofing. Am I doing something wrong? I want to grade in the full gamut of my display (for future proofing) and then use soft proofs to trim the image down to sRGB or P3 as needed for export. Why
There are black bars on the left and right of the screen when LR Classic is in full screen.It is reproducible when showing single photo in ful screen, or LR itself is in full screen. Please see attached screenshots of the both cases on 2022 M2 13" MacBook Air running latest MacOS 15.5 with latest LRC 14.4. In order to make it more prominent, it is maximum brightness of the screen and increased brigness of the photos to distinguish between physical screen border (which is completely black) and the LR artifacts. Also note the small triangle in the bottom of the screen of LR in full-screen node. P.S. I tried to reset preferences, it did not help.
Afternoon all, Was looking for some help as when i try to use any AI mask besides "Detect Sky" (which works well every time) both Lr and LrC fail to detect the background or people/subjects. At the moment i'm making do using brushes/radial/linear etc masks but having the option to select objects would really speed up my workflow. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers,
When importing files into LR Classic, the RAW files have several of the sliders set on non-zero values. I have no presets being used upon import. Clicking on the slider triangles will not reset them to zero. I have to hightlight each of the values in the boxes next to the sliders and reset them by entering a zero. This happens whether I import (copy) from an SD card or I add from files already copied to disk. I have two R5 cameras and the effect is the same. If I open a file on disk with Camera Raw, it also has non-zero settings, just like Lightroom. Therefore, is this a compatibility issue with Adobe and Canon, or is the camera somehow altering the RAW files? I have not seen this effect with all the other Canon digital cameras that I have owned. LR 14.4 but this has occurred through several updates
hello, I have a strange issue with the Print Module in Lightoom Classic - I select some photos in Library - I click on Print module when the layout style is first one (single photo) I see photos in main view, I can change number of rows or columns, etc but when I change layout style to second or third option: - the main screen shows only blank paper - the page number is not refreshed (so for example it still shows page 1 / 13) - changing template on the left does nothing - it's not possible to drag photo from filmstrip into main view I tried refreshing view, changing photos, restarting Lightroom and resetting LR preferences any tips what is wrong? LR 13.3.1, Windows 10
Hi allI am experiencing a strange issue. I had a catalogue crash, and restored to the last backup catalogue just before the issue. Now, I have raw files in a folder on a disk, that was edited before the crash, but now after the crash, there is no way that I can import these files again. Obviously the batch first imported were my best rated and selected images. I have synced the folder, re-imported the folder and all of that, but no luck. I see the file and XMP on the disk, but on the import dialogue, then all is greyed out. Are these files still linked to the "corrupted" catalogue?If so, how do I unlink them and link to the current catalogue (if that is the case)?
I'm trying to set up a smart collection that examines the entire catalog and returns all the images that do not have a creator. The obvious answer would be to select "is empty" from the criteria drop down. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist. How might this be done in a smart collection to examine the entire catalog and find those images with no creator listed.?
I am trying to change the front INSIDE and back INSIDE covers in Lightroom Classic Blurb book witout any luck. Yes, you can change the front and back OUTSIDE covers but I can not see any way of changing the inside covers from the default grey! Any ideas welcome. Cheers, Ray in London.
Like many others, I am experiencing frustrating slowness with LrC.First, long startup time: about 1 minute to see the LrC grid and then another minute for LrC to be responsive. That happens once a day so not a big deal. It could be an indication of something though. Now, clicking on an image in grid mode may suffer a delay of about 5 seconds. Hitting "P" to pick can suffer a delay of 5 to 7 seconds (approximately). Those two delays will add up when I have to click on a picture to select and then pick it.This is basically unworkable (especially when you have multiple selections to make).My machine is somewhat old (see below) but should be enough according to some people. For example, denoise only takes about 10 seconds for a 50 mpix photo. (12 GB GPU, M.2 4 lane SSDs, etc) I suspect there is a Windows or LrC configuration issue somewhere.I always update my GPU drivers. I have uninstalled my Norton antivirus and Loupedeck app to see if they were the culprit. (ran
When I try to use 'Edit In' to edit a photo in Photoshop, PS gets stuck on the splash screen. I can't even open PS standalone if LRc is running as it hangs as well. If I stop LRc while PS is hung, then PS opens but says I have a GPU issue. PS opens fine without opening LRc first. I also can't open any other external editing app, like Nik, from LRc. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both programs. I've gone back to a previous version of both. Nothing works! Dennis
I now use Topaz Photo AI regularly in my LRc workflow. It is painful to have to click on File > Plug-in Extras > Process with Topaz Photo AI each and every time I am editing a significant number of images. I understand that one cannot create a keystroke shortcut in LRc and am told I should do this outside of LRc. I have researched and tried this within the MAC OS capabilities doing the followingL Apple > System Settings > Keystrokes > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > App Shortcuts. LRc is not listed as one of the apps one can choose on the pull-down for All Applications, but by scrolling to Other, I can locate LRc. From there I create a keyboard shortcut - and I tried many - and none seem to work. Has anyone done this successfully? If so - how?
I can't open photoshop (v.25) from lightroom (v.12.5) I can't open photoshop from lightroom, the option is turned off Thanks
Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to remove an external editor that is showing up in the "Edit in" menu of lightroom. To my knowledge, I have removed it from my system in all locations. In addition, I have gone into the Lightroom preferences and removed it as an external editor. Removing it from lightroom preferences was successful in it showing up at the bottom of the Edit in menu, but it is still showing at the top (see attached photo). Does anyone know how I can remove it from the top. The external editor I am referring to is On1 Effects. Thank you! {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
I user Lightroom classis downloaded from the Adobe cloud app portal. I have a monthly subscription and have a new clean installation. When l import Nikon .NEF images l noticed that the files can be grainy/nosey. If l open the same .NEF files on my windows laptop using Microsoft Photo l can not see the same level of image poor quality.Has anyone had this problem before?
How does LrC work offline? When I am offline I get prompted every 5 or 6 days to connect to the internet and login. This is not long enough for me to use LrC on my laptop when traveling to remote areas. Is there any way to extend the time it asks for an internet connection?
We have a collection of photos on a LAN server which were imported into LRC. We've been using an external editor to crop those images post-import. It appears that the Synchronize Folder command does not recognize that the image was changed, and does not update the image previews. I found a way around this by renaming the image, synchronizing (which picks up the changes), and then renaming back to original name. Is this expected behaviour for LRC? And, if so, other than the kludge above, is there any way to force-reimport in LRC ?
Hi Adobe,I’m experiencing serious performance issues in Lightroom Classic 14.4, despite using high-end hardware:My Specs:CPU: Intel i7-10700KGPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060 SuperRAM: 64 GB DDR4Drive: Samsung Gen4 NVMe SSDOS: Windows 11 (latest build)Problems:Switching between RAW images takes 3–5 secondsCropping, brushing, masking are very laggyExporting takes significantly longer than in past versionsSame lag even with Smart Previews, optimized catalog, and high cacheI’ve Already Tried:Fresh new catalogRebuilt previewsGPU settings (on/off/custom)Presets/profiles removedSmart Preview editing onlyCache bumped to 50GBLightroom-only background environmentThese issues did not exist in 12.5, which was smooth and fast. I'm currently running Lightroom Classic on an M1 Mac mini with 16 GB of RAM, and I find the the things that cause me to wait for the computer are Lightroom Classic 14.4 computing AI denoise and the Adaptive Color profile. Are there public benchmarks that show how various Apple Silicon chips perform on these operations (e.g. with M1 as 1.0 and something twice the speed as 2.0, etc.)? I'm particularly interested in what kind of performance factor M4 buys compared to M1 and what M4 Pro buys compared to M4. Are these run on the GPU or on the Neural Engine? That is, with the two variants of M4 Pro Mac minis with different numbers of GPU cores but the same number of Neural Engine cores, does the number of GPU cores make a difference?
