Lightroom Classic

Hey everyone - I use lightroom on my 2019 Mac Pro. I have a fairly large (250k image) LR catalog that is stored on an internal SSD. I have found that scrolling in grid view, even in collections with only a few thousand images, is very slow. Even though I have 1:1 previews rendered for every photo, LR will still show gray squares for images and take a few secs to render, and the scrolling is slower than I would likeIf I were to upgrade to a new Mac Studio, would this improve?I don't think the read/write from the ssd would be faster, but are there other factors, like CPU or GPU speed that might speed things up?

Hello, I have a problem in Lightroom Classic - I have a lot of photos that require identical cropping. My camera spontaneously rotates some photos and I have to rotate them manually in the program. But if I set the cropping options on the manually rotated photo and pass the settings to the other photos with the auto-sync function, the cropping is correct only on the manually rotated photos - those photos that were not manually rotated have the wrong cropping (like the cropping is rotated to the original orientation of the manually rotated photos).

Bonjour,J'ai déjà eu ce souci et j'aimerais vraiment m'en débarasser. LRC applique un préréglage lorsque je passe du module bibliothèque au module développement. Sauf que ce dernier n'apparait pas dans l'historique donc impossible de le supprimer. Je vous montre ici l'exemple :Voici une image issue de mon catalogue : Voici exactement la même sans aucune intervention de ma part, dans l'onglet développement :LRC a par exemple décidé tout seul que les tons magenta et violet ne lui convenait pas et les a remplacé par du bleu. Et cette dernière image est devenue l'image de référence, sur laquelle je peux évaluer les effets de mes corrections. Sauf que : LRC l'a déjà corrigé donc c'est faussé. Ma question est la suivante : comment faire en sorte que LRC me montre le fichier brut tel qu'il est en RAW, et de l'empêcher d'essayer de me simplifier la vie en ne faisant que la compliquer (parce que c'est plus que pénible).

Moin zusammen,ich bräuchte mal Euer Schwarmwissen. Ich habe mir einen neuen Mac mini M4 gekauft. Leider ist mein alter iMac aus 2014 gestorben. Ein Backup über Time-Maschine habe ich. Ich habe den Mac mini allerdings nicht aus dem Time-Maschine installiert, weil ich eine pure neue OSX-Installation haben wollte. Jetzt möchte ich das Backup (liegt auf externer HDD unter backups.backupde...) auf den Mac mini kopieren und ich möchte natürlich alle Bearbeitungsschritte, Bildbearbeitungen etc. behalten. Leider gelingt mir das nicht. Wie müsste ich vorgehen?Vielen DankJörg

When my PC is disconnected from my external hard drives, which is where is store all my original full sized files, i can't edit anything in Develop. It says "file not found." This used to work fine, but now it doesn't. I (think) I have LrC configured to use Smart Previews, which i thought meant i could use Develop even in my original full size files are stored externally.  I mostly shoot on my Galaxy S25 Ultra and sync to LrC via the cloud. I'm using LrC 14.2 on a Windows Surface Book 2.  Everything is updated to the latest versions.

When I open a file in Lightroom and the file is on my filer server I can use Edit in Photoshop and the image appears in Photoshop. If I open a file that is stored in my local drive, Edit in Photoshop will open Photoshop but doesn't display the image.I can open the file on my local disk directly in Photoshop, no problems.Photoshop is set for Full Disk Access.Is there another permisson or security setting I might be missing? I'm using a Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.7.4  

Usually, after making the usual exposure etc edits in LRC I then go to Open in, and choose Photoshop 2025, where I make other more detailed edits, removee distractions, smooth skin, etc. I then return to LRC and if all is well, go about exporting a JPEG from the PSD file. This has served me well, as lately as a couple of weeks ago. Today I find that LRC will no longer export from the PSD file. When I give the command to Export, nothing at all happens. I can still however export from the original file, in this case CR2, but of course, that is not what I want at all.Thoughts anyone??? Thank you

Hallo,ich nutze Lightroom Classic. Die Bilder haben nach Bearbeitung das 2-3 fache der Datengrösse als das Original Bild. Weiss jemand warum das so ist? Danke+Gruss

I cluster and group my presets in Lightroom Classic 14.2. Beyond a certain number of groups, it won't import more presets and tells me it's running out of groups. When I physically remove groups of presets from the preset folder (Windows Explorer), I am able to import new groups of presets. But when I copy back the presets I had removed, Lightroom won't start up again. I also noticed that some of the presets that were in the group that failed the first time are not visible in Lightroom. Trying to import them again results in the message that they were already imported.   Anyone else experienced something similar?   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Since this morning I've been struggling to solve the problem... 😞 I updated windows, I reinstalled LrC, I updated the video drivers... nothing!!!Yesterday everything was going great, today I get this: Enhance Errors - There was an error writing the file. I tried with other RAW files, I also tried in Camera Raw. I have an NVIDIA Ge Force GTX 1050 and Intel UHD Graphics 630 video card.

I expect that the moire correction (slide to 100%) in the masking module will provide a smooth result, with the color removed and no residual gray moire pattern.   This is what I've found on different cameras, when correcting the color moire in Lightroom: green-magenta moire. iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone SE2. Gray moire results from correction. purple-aqua moire. Sony Alpha 7III (one anti-alias filter not two). Gray moire results from correction. blue-orange moire. Canon R6 photo from Reddit. Almost perfect moire correction - no resulting gray moire. This is the expected behavior. When I try to reduce noise in my pictures in Lightroom Classic, I get an error message. See the attachment to view the error message. Does anyone know what this might be related to? 

hi there fam, i have 2013 imac 27' and running macOs catalina right now, when i apload my raw file to desktop in folder my system wont read my ARW files that came from my new sony 7cii,, and when i load them to LRC they wont read my raw file too.. i try to update but my system wont update to monterey.. i need help as im not techcki with this update thing.. do i need new desktop since my com puter are very old.. but my two camera sony A7iii & A7Riii are perfectly fine,, still read my raw files and save.. what can i do so i can use my new sony 7cii.. as of now im using imagery where i upload myraw files to view them and save them as tiff or jpeg, so i can work with my files in lightroom and view in my computer.. thank you fam hope i can resolve this soon as im loosing my mind how to work my raw files, in my 2013 imac desktop. thank you in regard, luis

Hi everyone. The problem I'm having is that Lightroom Classic won't let me use presets. I can create new presets, but when I try to use them, this screen appears: “Downloading some masking templates. Please try again later.” And it just hangs there, nothing happens. I can't even use the presets I used to use. I tried to restore the initial settings, but it didn't work (actually, I didn't really manage to restore the initial settings. At the end of the procedure, the Adobe presets that I had deleted did not reappear) Has anyone else ever had the same problem? Any idea what it could be? Hey dear friends,I am searching for the option to switch off permanently the function "automatisch weiterschalten" under the drop down windows "Foto".Screenshot of function attachedBackground: I have deselected this function, but for what ever reason it comes back when restaring LrC, also when not reselecting.Or is there a short cut to select and deselect the function, which I have not realized till now.So is there an option to switch it of by preseting operation, because for me it is one of the most boring functions, if it is the selcted and I want to give more then one criteria during development to one of my photos.My set-up : MACPro with 15.3, 8 Gb Grafic card, 128 GB RAM, LrC 14.2Thanks for every helping hand with spring greetings from CadolzburgFranz-Josef

I have been shooting tethered for months with my Nikon D750.  Everything has worked beautifully.  Yesterday I shot out of the studio and changed lenses a few times. I tethered today and my live view is totally blown out.  Unusabley blown out. The camera is still shooting just fine.  The pictures are not overexposed.  The live tethered view seems to be the only issue.  I've turned everything on and off, adjusted ISO and shutter speed, I've disconnected and reconnected everything.  I have no idea why this is happening.  

Dear Adobe Support, I am writing to report an issue with Lightroom Classic. I am using a Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera, a USB tethering cable, and Windows 10. Lightroom Classic detects the camera and allows me to control the camera settings and view the live view, but I am unable to capture any images. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:I have restarted Lightroom Classic and my computer.I have tried using different USB ports.I have updated the firmware on my camera.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom Classic. However, the issue persists. Dear Adobe Support, I've been experiencing a frustrating issue with the crop overlay in Lightroom Classic 14.2 When I click on the crop tool and try to drag the corner handles, they often disappear, forcing me to reselect the crop overlay and try again. This happens frequently and is very frustrating. Additionally, the hand tool function is also not working properly, making editing even more difficult. This issue is costing me a lot of time and significantly disrupting my workflow. I would really appreciate it if this could be resolved as soon as possible. Hello, I am wanting to do some spring cleaning of my catalog folders.  My actual images IN lightroom are well organized using collections and keywords etc...  Non I my images show as "missing", and all are in collections.  However, my actual folders and files outside of lightroom are a bit of a mess.  Example: In the catalog folder, I have a folder labeled "2018" containing both folders with year/month/day names, and another folder also labeled "2018" inside the first "2018" containing a folder with year/month day names… (there is some overlap between year/month/day folders (ie: there is a 2018-11-19 folder in both the 2018 folder AND the 2018/2018/ folder.  What I would like to do is move and create folders IN LIGHTROOM (not finder) So that I have an "image" folder in the catalog folder with year/month/day folders all in one higharchy.  If I create/move the folders IN lightroom will they retain all link info and data etc...?     Also,

How can I thow error from catalog:withWriteAccessDo() ? I was to throw an error when calling function inside catalog:withWriteAccessDo() and handle it outside of catalog:withWriteAccessDo(). How to do it?

Quando usava alguma máscara (pincel, etc) no modo desenvolvimento, as opções de edição apareciam todas ao mesmo tempo (cor, tom, curvas) as abas ficavam todas abertas. Agora só aparece uma por vez, tenho que ficar clicando em cada aba para fazer os ajustes.
