At first when I tried to synchronize a folder in Lightroom Classic, Synchronize said there are 424 photos to import, but then it did not import any. I am on release 15.3.1, which I am told is the latest, and Windows 11 Pro. I have installed all operating system updates and GPU updates. I have also restored preferences in LR Classic. At the top level of my catalog, selecting All Photos, I have tried looking for specific files that are not getting imported, and LR can’t find them, so they can’t be there somewhere else in my catalog. I have never had this problem before. I have quit LR several times, and it sometimes would tell me that there was a corrupt file, so I deleted those files from my system. Now when I try to synchronize, it says “importing files at their current location”, but nothing ever happens. When I ended the import, it told me that 2 files were unsupported or damaged. The files are type .ARW, created by a Sony A1 camera, that I have had no problems with in the past.I have
Steps to reproduce: Try to Open LRCError Message: Lightroom encountered an error when reading a catalog file and needs to quit. Issue summaryOn my Mac, Lightroom Classic 15.3 becomes unresponsive after some period of normal use. I have to Force Quit it. After that, Lightroom Classic can relaunch, but RAW files can no longer be opened properly. I cannot guarantee exact reproduction steps every time, but the issue has happened multiple times in 15.3 and has not happened for me in 15.2.1 on the same machine.Environment- Lightroom Classic: 15.3- macOS: 26.4.1- Apple Silicon Mac: M1 MaxWhat I can confirm- This issue started after updating to 15.3.- It happens after some time of normal RAW workflow use, not immediately on launch.- Once Lightroom hangs, I have to Force Quit it.- After relaunch, RAW files still cannot be opened properly.- Downgrading to 15.2.1 on the same Mac resolves the issue. I've been using the Ai supported denoise feature, and while it works well, I receive an error message and I have to run it twice instead of once. The program makes me do it over again before export, and both processes take up two hours each. The error says to reach out to customer support and post here. I use a Lenovo, and recently this has been adding more unnecessary time to my workflow. I’ve made sure everything is up to date, and to my knowledge, my computer is capable of running the program and operations.
When LR Classic opens I can see all of my folders but the previews are all grayed out as the screen shot shows. I tried uninstalling the application and reinstalling it but the problem still happens.

System:Lightroom Classic 15.3.1 running on Mac mini M4 Pro 48GB 650GB spare storage.Catalogue is on the internal Mac mini SSD. Problems:This problem occurs frequently:Open up LRC, Edit three or four images in Develop module. Proceed to next image, but the image in the Develop module doesn’t change, or there is a grey panel. Shut down LRC - Writing Metadata changes into XMP…sticks at 29% and makes no further progress. So I have to force close LRC. I have tried disabling GPU etc. Any suggestions please? Thanks Richard
Why is Adobe Light Room so slow? Simply scrolling through the film strip can take seconds between images. Newly added images can take up to 30 seconds. Stitching is super slow to create panoramas compared to other programs like PTGUI. Simply selecting the crop tool causes the LR screen to go grey and then refresh. Everything I do in LR is slow and I’m constantly waiting on it.
when I try to use the replacement tool with the Generative AI option I get the message: “Generative Remove FailedWe've encountered an issue and can't complete your request at this time. Please try again later” this keeps happening no matter how much later I leave it
RAW file exported as jpeg (5 meg) in Lightroom Classic V15:3:1 with content credentials applied I see no CR pin on the image as suggested in Adobe help videos.
Lightroom Classic 15.3 intermittently becomes completely unresponsive (permanent hang, requires Force Quit) when opening RAW images in the Develop module or when generating previews during import. A macOS `spindump` captured during a live hang shows the cause is a **self-deadlock inside the Camera Raw engine** bundled with Lightroom Classic 15.3.The operating system's own deadlock detector flagged it. The spindump header reads:- `Deadlocked: 1 thread - Thread 0x11612a "Queue Processor - NegativeQueue_1"`- `Blocked by Deadlock: 3 threads - "Queue Processor - OpenNegativesForDevelop_1, _2, _3"`The deadlock graph points the thread **at itself**:`Deadlock: ... thread 0x11612a "NegativeQueue_1" -> thread 0x11612a "NegativeQueue_1"`The deadlocked thread's call stack runs through AgKernel (Lua) into CameraRaw, ending at:`... (CameraRaw) -> std::mutex::lock() -> _pthread_mutex_firstfit_lock_slow -> __psynch_mutexwait`with the kernel annotation: `(blocked by turnstile waiting for th
I run LrC 15.3 om a Mac Powerbook. I purchased a new WD 24TB hard drive when my old 12TB filed up, and moved my photo files to it. I also just returned from a trip where I imported several thousand pictures as well. When all migrating and importing was done, the catalog seemed happy. All pictures were recognized. Since then, pretty much every day for the last four days when I open a collection a number of pictures have the dreaded exclamation point indicating that the picture can’t be found. For the past three of those four days I’ve reimported those pictures from a 2TB travel drive and reedit the pictures. Yesterday evenoing all was well. This morning I have the same problem. I haven’t moved to 15.4 because I didn’t want to compound my problems with a new catalog and new version. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Marty
I've been uisng LR for a while to apply my photo presets to video clips, as a simple means of getting my photo preset applied to clips for consistency. So applying the preset on import, then exporting the clip to edit in other software. Now with LR 17.4, when I go to export, the export dialog progress bar apepas in the top left, but there is no progress, nothing happens. It just sticks on 'Export XX files', and wil stay like that for hours or even days with no progress at all. There are no error messages, and when I work through the export dialog box there is no indication that it isn't going to export.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I get this error message every time i try to apply an adaptive preset to an image. All the portrait ones do no work, same for subject and blur backgroundOnce you try to apply the preset, the error message pops up after 2 seconds. so it is not running and running to find something and then times out. Error Message pops up nearly immediately Categories not affected are the sky presets and the landscape presets.LRC Version : 15.3 Any idea how to solve this? Thanks Jay
I haven’t been able to sync my data to the adobe cloud. The sync keeps getting stuck and I’m not sure what’s hanging it up.
LrC won’t open as it is saying that my Master Catalog is corrupted. But it doesn’t tell me what to do about it. It gives no other options. I need to be able to open LrC
I now have 15.3.1. Last update I remember I was prompted to answer a question about my catalogs. Maybe I did not answer the question correctly.
Hello, the “Adjust overall exposure” feature for multiple selected photos in the Develop-Module is suddenly grayed out / unavailable when I select “Right-click > Develop settings > Adjust overall exposure”.When I set “Auto-Synchronization” to ON, the grayed-out status disappears and the function becomes available again. I only have this problem in the Develop-Module - and only when using “Right-click > Develop settings > Adjust overall exposure".All other options work (without “Auto-Synchronization”):- In the Develop-Module, “Settings > Adjust overall exposure” works.- In the Library-Module, “Photo > Development Settings > Adjust overall exposure” works.- “Ctrl + Alt + Shift + M” in the Develop-Module works.- “Ctrl + Alt + Shift + M” in the Library-Module works. As I mentioned, only in the Develop-Module the “Adjust overall exposure” function suddenly is grayed out / unavailable under “Right-click > Develop Settings” and only works after enabling Auto Sync. I di
I am having trouble accessing about five years worth of digital catalog photographs through Adobe Lightroom. My problem started I think when either my macOS system software updated or adobe Lightroom updated its software. Originally, I couldn’t find these photos anywhere on my hard drive so I had to retrieve them through Time Machine on my Mac. Once I located these catalogues I copied them over from Time Machine. I am unable to open them through Lightroom. I keep getting this warning. Can you help me with the ability to open my Lightroom photo catalogs again? And what does it mean when the LrC warning says “does not allow files to be created within it.”?
Hi, Nikon has released FW 2.0 for the Nikon Zf two weeks ago, which finally enables Flexible Color on the camera (similar to the Z6III). This enables users to create "recipes"/LUTs so to speak within NX Studio, and export them as .NP3 files onto the Zf/Z6III/Z50II. Upon importing the JPEG + RAWs to Lightroom (as of the latest release 14.3), there is no "Flexible Color" Camera Matching Profile on the Zf like there is on the Z6III. Please see the attached screenshots for your reference. I believe this should be fixed/added via an update to Camera Raw. As someone who is 95% satisfied with my "custom .NP3 flexible color settings" on my Zf to achieve the images I want, there's only a slightly edit I want to apply to the RAWs. But, importing them into Lightroom automatically applies Camera Standard (and not Flexible Color, like it does on the Z6III). As expected, this results in a very different look and strong color shift since it isn't saving the Flexible Color inf
I am creating a book in Lightroom but the format is only US (20*25 cm).Is there a way to put it on A4 (21*29.7 cm) ?
When will we have European (or custom) paper sizes in the BOOK Module? I am fully aware that Blurb only supports US paper sizes but there are many non-US printing services which will print a book from jpg or pdf files. You should be able to support sizes other than those used by Blurb. The recent improvements in LR 7.5 were great but I think will only be usable by American users. Come on Adobe you have MANY users who do not use US paper sizes!!!!!
When I press the denoise box, it doesn't do anything. It ticks for a split second and then doesn't do anything. How can I fix this?
