Lightroom Classic

I've been over this with Apple Support but they don't have an answer. Exporting from my own Apple Photos library as "unmodified originals" works as it should with HEIC files appearing on the destination drive. However when exporting what appear to be HEIC files from an Apple Photos shared folder in my library, the exported files appear as jepegs. I've tried the other Apple Photo export option ("Export 1 Photo") which give me the option to choose HEIC and which does appear as that after export except that it's file size is a least half the size of those I export from my own library. I suspect the file is being coverted from a jepg, not the unmodified original HEIC. I've posted this on an Apple Discussions fourm too. Has anybody tried this with and gotten the same result?

Ocurre que al importar las fotografias tanto en Lightroom Classic como en la app de Lightroom se aplican ajustes en el revelado., como se puede evidenciar en la imagen los ajustes de Exposición, Iluminación y Sombras. No estoy aplicando ningun ajuste preestablecido en la importacion.¿Cómo puedo evitar que esto ocurra y que la fotografia se importe sin ajustes?  

When I start LR I got the mesage that the used catalog must be restored because it is damaged. I have used normal. There were no crashes of my PC.   The catalog is stored on a seperat HD which has no isues.   I use LR Classic CC latest.   HELP   Tom

I have CC and all files are up to date. I just installed Helicon Focus and Raya Pro. Now the merge to panorama and merge to HDR are grayed out and the edit in photoshop open to layers, merge to panorama, and merge to HDR also grayed out.  I have tried disabling the plug in to see if that is the problem, but nothing changed, so now I am not sure. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

Hi All, Today I purchased a new e-license from a reseller for 1 year of Adobe Photography Plan. I had 11 months left on my current license. The new license code has been accepted but there are still only 11 months left (the new license year has not been credited).What can I do now? My new license seems to have totally disappeared.Thanks en BR,Marc

Using Lightroom Classic, latest version. New laptop, with a second monitor, so this is the first time using Adobe to edit. Photoshop working fine. I am able to edit 5 RAW images, then I notice the software slowing down and then the develop module window freezes, but any changes I make are visible on the filmstrip below. I have to constantly close and reopen to use again. Drivers are up to date, catalog optimize, I don't know what else to do. Running Windows 11, 32 gigs of RAM. Exporting 150 images went lightning fast, btw. 

I have noticed for some time that this option has stopped working. Sample photos using the noise reduction function ( 25% )The preview gives a correct result, but final image is unusable and looks worse than original. Anyone noticed something like that ? 

Hallo Zusammen, ich habe folgendes Problem:Wie immer importiere ich meine Bilder in Lightroom und diese werden im Bibliothek Modus links als Ordner angezeigt. Seit neustem ist es jedoch so, dass ich die Bilder importiere, diese bearbeite und sobald ich neue Bilder importiere der vorherige Import nicht mehr links in der Ordnerleiste angezeigt wird- er ist einfach weg.Ich kann die Bilder aber auch nicht nochmal neu importieren, da diese dann hellgrau hinterlegt sind (hellgrau bedeutet ja, das sie bereits importiert wurden). Sie sind also weg und ich kann sie auch nicht mehr neu hinzufügen. Auch über die Suchfunktion finde ich die fehlenden Ordner nicht. Ich bin wirklich verzweifelt und weiß nicht, was ich tun kann. Hatte das Problem bereits jemand?

LR classic v14 0 1 MACbook pro OS sonoma 14 6 1 copy paste text into library find text expected result: 25 files actual result: 0   I just pulled my hair out for two days trying to figure out why a string of comma delimited, properly formatted plain text file names would not appear in a library "text" search. After much googling, i found another LR user on a forum here in the adobe community where someone posted that they had this issue and it was because of a space in the file name.   YOU MUST FIX THIS. This has been a known issue for minimum 6 years, but I suspect it goes back much further. Hello, I have a question regarding metadata between Peakto and Lightroom classic.  I have added keywords to Images in Peakto.  In peakto catalog settings/sync settings I have round trip XMP setting to lightroom selected.  When I enter Lightroom classic, images are flagged with “The metadata for this photo has been changed by both Lightroom and another application. Should Lightroom import settings from disk or overwrite disk settings with those from the catalog?”  and it asks if I would like to “overwrite settings, or “import settings from disk”.  The keywords added in Peakto are not visible in Lightroom.  If I import settings from disk, My image reverts to how it originally looked before any lightroom edits.  (I tested this by drastically changing exposure in lightroom on a test image.  The image came into peakto with the change but when I returned to lightroom and imported settings from disk, my image returned to “pre exposure change” appearance

Since maybe 2 versions ago Lightroom Classic has been so slow that it is basically unusable. The interface responds normally for the most part, with left clicking and moving between modules working as expected, but right clicking or performing any editing task takes forever. When right clicking a photo there is typically a delay of around 5 minutes simply for the context menu to appear. I currenlty use LR6.  Recently a white box containing image and camera information has appeared over the top half of the photo and I am not able to remove it.  Any advice would be helpful please.

When using Lightroom Classic for the first time, I Imported the entire My Pictures file on my laptop, when I was trying to Import one photo. Big time rookie error. How can I clear the pictures from LR Classic without deleting them from my hard drive too? HELP

LrC 14.2; Windows 10.0.19045When starting Lightroom Classic I always get the Lightroom Classic Catalog Upgrade dialog box and have to choose a different catalog.  After selecting the Choose a Different Catalog button the next dialog box lists older catalogs but not my current working catalog.  I click the Choose a Different Catalog button and navigate to my current working catalog which then appears in the list of catalogs after being selected.  The "Always load this catalog on startup" checkbox is then selected and Open is clicked to start LrC.  Closing and re-starting LrC always returns to the same catalog upgrade dialog without honoring the "Always load this catalog on startup" checkbox. 

I am using both PhotoShop (24.4.0)  and Ligthroom classic (14.2) with Camera Raw (17.2) on a windows11 PC.The original images are in Nikon Raw format .NEFI can edit and see everything on my ComputerBut when I upload the .jpg file to the web on a UNIX server , none of the images can be displayed I get the error:"The image cannot be displayed because it contains errors" This happens wether I use Ligthroom or PhotoshopExample https://www.hilair.com/show-portraits/index1.html

Hello Community. I use Lightroom Classic as my main photo editor and I wish to use it for soft proofing and printing as well. Unfortunately I'm experiencing an issue when trying to soft proof in the develop module. In soft proof mode, when I choose a paper profile and then when I select the "Simulator Paper & Ink" option, it has no effect what so ever on the image in the proof preview. When I toggle "Simulate Paper & Ink" on and off, I see that the proof matte around the image changes according to the selected paper profile just as expected, but no change happens to the image itself.I have tried everything to solve this issue: selecting different paper profiles, reinstalling Lightroom a couple of times, reverting back to older versions of Lightroom from my current version 14.2, resetting Lightroom preferences several times and also reinstalling my graphics driver in Windows 11. Ich möchte einen neuen Katalog in Lightroom Classic erstellen. Wir reden von 178000 Fotos! Beim Start des Importiervorgangs werden 2 Vorgänge gestartet. Was ist Erstvorschauen werden abgerufen? Das ganze läuft nun schon 4 Tage/Nächte und ich bin erst bei 46%. Ist das Normal oder habe ich etwas falsch eingestellt? 

Using Mac OS 15.3LRC 14.0.1LR on iphone ios 10.1.1 changes and additions to albums sync correctly from IOS to LR web (lightroom.adobe) but never get sent to LRCHowever changes made in LRC are synced to LR web and then on to LR IOS -it appears this may have started in early January, the last update I did was Dec / 24 and sync appears to have been working fine then-based on questions from others I can confirm I am using the same adobe account across all platforms, sync is enabled Any suggestions for how to diagnose or address greatly appreaciated.

Lightroom Classic-Version: 14.2 Problem: beim exportieren von Fotos auf die Festplatte werden die Bearbeitungen am Foto nicht übernommen sondern das unbearbeitete Bild wird exportiert. Die Bilder sind JPEGs von der Smartphone Kamera  oder empfangene Bilder aus threema. Einstellungen beim export: Spezieller Ordner: Verzeichnis auf der Festplatte Bildformat: Original Ansonsten keine Einstellungen Betrachten der exportierten Bilder anschließend mit Windows Fotoanzeige: die in Lightroom durchgeführten Bildbearbeitungen wurden nicht übernommen. Hi group, I'm always searching a possibility to export my keywords in a structured way (like I see it in Lightroom), edit them in a text editor like BBEdit and import it with the new structure again. I miss on every keyword an id and a parent id. Is it possible to do that in a easy way, or should I have learn to develope a plugin? LIGHTROOM CLASSIC has a number of tutorials. I've viewed a handfull of them but I'm confused about what I see on these videos. My new LrC app looks nothing like the one on the video. Somebody named Ben is featured in a lot of them. I notice on his PC in the uppper left corner is the symbol for "LR." Also I see a date at the bottom from 2017.  Seems to me these videos are vastly outdated and not much help at all. Am I missing something here ?

It's time to upgrade my late 2014 iMac Retina a mac mini pro.  On the 2014 iMac, everything is stored on the internal 6TB drive (using about 4.5 TB currently).  I plan on getting the Mac mini 4 Pro with a 1TB internal drive and an 8TB external SSD drive.  I'm trying to understand the process of migration so that I don't run into any problems.  For example, using the Apple migration tool, it appears that it's a one for one migration; that is it migrates everything from old system drive to new system drive.  In my case, this wouldn't work.  So when I unbox the new iMac, any advice on the migration process?  I'd like to bring up the new iMac and migrate everything but LR Classic/Photoshop and then put the LR cataloge on the 1TB drive and the images on the 8TB drive.  Thanks.

Hello, LRC as of today is hanging when I try to enter the print module. CPU usage sits around 5%. WIN 11 updated yesterday(24H2  KB5053598) and all three local versions of photoshop also stopped printing (Hung). Resolved by restarting each version holding the Shift Alt Ctrl keys during start. Also had to hold space bar (While entering print module) for one image I needed to print.I don't normally print from LRC, but it is convienent at times to do so. So would be nice to have a fix for LRC.
