Edit In Photoshop 2025 from LrC launches the correct version of Photoshop, but doesn't open the selected image.I've reinstalled both Photoshop and LrC, in that order. Photoshop 2025 is chosen in LrC's external editing prefs. The command works if opening an image that lives somewhere on the Mac HD of the laptop, but not from any external drive. I've tried several drives with different formats (ExFat, HFS+ Extended, NTFS, spinning, SSD), even tried some from friends running different OS's but none work. I built new Lrc Catalogs on both the Mac HD and on an exernal drive and imported new images to each. The behavior remains the same - Edit In opens Photoshop, but doesn't open the selected image.I'm running Sonoma 14.5 on a 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB, 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X.I'd welcome any ideas. Thanks.
Hi Adobe friends,I've used lightroom for years and I've never had this issue. When I open LR, this is what I see. I can't move it to see the normal develop / library window. When I click off the window onto another area of my Mac, I can see the window I want to use. How can I close the screenshotted window so I can access what's behind it? Even settings and whatnot open behind this. So strange. Help 🙂
So i purchased the 9.99 Adobe Lightroom/ Lightroom Classic/ PS for desktop. It appears that im only able to edit in Lightroom and when I say edit in LR CLASSIC it keeps telling me so save my photo which i think i am doing.. In any event when i go to apps i see the Adobe LIght Room and when his the drop down all i see is Lightroom not Lightroom classic and the GUI does not resemble i what i see on line. Im am new to the Adobe world so a bit of a learning curve is evident. But how do i open up to LR CLASSIC.
Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) v17.0.0 introduced new features and changes that Lightroom Classic (LrC) v14.0.0 did not get. Denoise not creating separate file !!!! Generative expand Adaptive profiles I assume these features will come to LrC eventually, but I've mostly put photography on hold waiting for this update because the Denoise is SO GOOD and I hate having the extra file created. I'm guessing February, but I'd love it to be sooner. If anyone can give more accurate guesses than that, I'm all ears.
Working with Lightoom Classic I am used to switching to the Library mode to see the GPS and location details. After being away for a week Lightoom now displays no GPS details in the panel it used to a week ago.If I export a file that appears to have no GPS the meta tags are there when opened in Photoshop. The only meta that does show is the address of the location, but NOTHING else, not even the file name. I have tried all the combinations of Presets but none of them show any more information. I see in preferences I can restore various preferences but have no idea which one of these will do this? I have lots of other settings such as sync preferences I do NOT want to lose so am reluctant to click on all of them in the hope it might fix the problem. Any ideas?
My catalogs and files are a mess. Some have gone to one drive, photos are missing, etc. Is there a service that can help me clean this up?
Cuando intento quitar ruido, utilizar la herramienta de desenfoque y alguna mas. se me cuelga el ordenador y debo reiniciar. A alguien le pasa lo mismo??Trabajo con Lightroom v14.0.1 en Windows 10 home
Hi Guys, I'm new to Lightroom, usually been editing working in Photoshop.I am editing and retouching black and White film scans so mainly cleaning dust and leveling exposure, I wanted to ask if there is a way to save the changes made on the original file (same as in I do on Photoshop), I am meaning to save space and clutter in doing that. Thanks,Stav.
I have an old mac and Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 is not compatible with it. I would like to use Lightroom Classic 13.5, which previously worked on my computer. However, despite installing 13.4, when I go to open it, it attempts to do a catalog upgrade "to access the latest changes in this newer version of Lightroom Classic" and I have no option for avoiding this (my options are update, choose a different catalog, or quit). When I click "update", I get a system error that then quits the app. Any thoughts on how I can get this working again?
I have been using LR for years with no problems, this is a recent thing. I use a 2019 Macbook Pro with Sequoia 15.1.1 and the 14.0.1 release of LR Classic. I can see the photos in the library as thumbnails and expand them to their fullest size. But when I try to go into full screen or the develop module, all I see is a blank (black) screen. Any suggestions please?
A couple of weeks ago, I suddenly couldn't export multiples pictures in Adobe Lightroom. I was on 13.3.1 and thought an upgrade to 13.4 might help, but unfortunately, it did not. Every time I export, it will only export a few pictures but every time a random number, sometimes 4 pictures and sometimes 10 etc. I run on W11 Home 23H2, have enough disk space the problem occurs on de local disk of my machine and external which i tried different kinds of (usb drive/external hdd). I tried running a find missing images, but everything was fine. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone know how i can fix this. Thanks in advance.
I'm new to lightroom.1. I'm on a Mac and cannot figure out how to import of export from the Mac Photo app. I'm lost. 2. I have managed to import some photos, but it is random, not in order, incomplete, and I have duplicates. I just want to just dump all the photos I managed to import and start again and import them form the Mac photo app. How do I do this?3. I've been paying for LR for months and cannot figure out this simple task. I feel like an idiot.
I use Photo Mechanic to ingest, select and manage metadata before editing in LR. During games, I don't have enough time to tag photos. I file low-res photos during the game that are suitable for social media, not high-res for other uses. Once the game is over, I update the metadata, usually player names, in Photo Mechanic because it's faster and easier. The problem is that I can't get these updates syched up in LR. I get a message in LR that the meta data has been updated and only have two choices: overwrite the data with what's already in LR which means losing the "persons present"; or import from Photomechanic which undos all the editing I've done. Is there some setting I'm missing between the two programs to make this work? Thanks
I want to place the file name superimposed over an image.Does anyone have a simple workflow to accomplish this?
Greetings! I have a seemingly simple issue but don't know how to resolve it. I've been using Lightroom for years for my photography work. Some of my work is "fine art" but most of it is stock photography. As such, I need to fill in the keywords, Contact & IPTC, etc data. And, as you might expect, I've fat fingered some of the data that I've input. I know how to remove bad keywords from my keyword list, but I don't know how to remove bad data from the Contact & IPTC areas. For example, I've attached an image. Over time, I fat fingered "photographer" as "pjotographer" and accepted that spelling and now I'm stuck with it as an alternative when I start typing "photographer" into that field. I'd like to remove "pjotographer" from the pop up so that only "photographer" appears. On several of these fields, I've made one or more errors that are annoying to deal with as I'm inputing this information, so I'd like to clean this stuff up/out. Does anyone know how to remove t
I'm about to leave for an hour. While I'm gone, suggestions for capturing the issue would be welcome. When I get back, I'll close and open it and it will probably go away. If not, reboot.
I recently updated to Mac Os 15.1.1 (24B91). Now my lightroom classic quits upon start up. It doesn't even open the app. it just shows the startup screen then immediately shuts down. I tried uninstalling it and reinstallingn it via the creative coud app, but it still doesn't work. Any help please?
My Lightroom is set to back up the catalog once a week. Yesterday, when closing the program, I encountered this error stating that there isn’t enough disk space to complete the backup. Note: The backup is saved to a folder on the C drive, which has over 350GB of free space. The last backup was successfully completed on November 19. Today, when closing the program, the same error appeared again, stating there isn’t enough space. I tried changing the backup location to other drives, but the same error persists. Can anyone help me? [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
Recently, Lightroom has become unusable for me due to GPU-related issues. Images in the Develop module appear dark and green. Even the image background, which should be gray, is green. The photo shows drill bits photographed against a white background. The only solution I've found is to set Graphics Processing to OFF. However, this makes switching images in the Develop module unbearably slow. I've gone through Adobe's Troubleshoot graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues article, but it hasn’t helped. I also just picked up my MacBook from Apple service, where diagnostics showed no issues.Has anyone experienced a similar problem, and how did you resolve it? Specs: MacBook Pro 16-inch 2019, I9, 32GB, Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB, Sequoia 15.1.1
I have imported photos into lightroom, editted them and because I have moved the imported photos from their original location I can no longer continue editting them since lightroom can't find them. Is there a way for lightroom to find the new location of the photos or to set this up manually? I would like to adjust the editting without starting again from scratch by re-importing.
I recently installed 14.0.1 and now previews of images are not showing. I am getting this message:"Lightroom encountered and error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit" I found a thread addressing the issue from 2013 but it is locked so posting here as the recommended actions are not working. Most of the deeper thread comments point to external drive problems as the issue, but this is not my case. The method for resolving the issue recommends deleting the Preview Cache directory which ends with Previews.LRDATA but I'm not finding that. The closest thing I could find is a large (14gb) Previews.LRDATA file located in the Previous Catalogues folder, not an entire directory. I tried copying this Previews.LRDATA file to an external drive, deleting the original and restarting LR but no luck.Any assistance very welcome.MBP M1, Sonoma 14.5 [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.] &nbs
Hi, I have used Lightroom 5 in many years, and now upgraded to Lightroom Classic on my Mackbook Pro (Sequoia). I have a new MacBook Pro and imported my about 90 000 pictures there. Unfortunaly the tagged keywords are not there with the pictures. This keyword jobb is many hours work during the years. Is there a method to import the keyword so that they are connected to respective picture? I have read a lot about metadata, but 'i can't figure out a way to do it. It's an understatement to say that I would be very very happy if there is some way to do it! BR Göran/Sweden
So I printed all day yesterday, on my Epson 7570 printer, using the LRC Print Module, printing on Exhibition Canvas Matte, with the installed ICC profiles. Today, I go down to continue with my Print project and my ICC profiles have suddenly disaapeared form LRC. And I don't have the option to select the proper profile in LRC profiles list. I can only see my older profiles, for my older printers. But all of the new ones for the 7570 have gone missing.Any thoughts as to what might have happened here? And a solution/suggestion?Thanks.- Sol
Hi all, recently my old Macbook Pro from 2012 died, so I bought a new one. I had Lightroom 5 that is working badly now with Sequoia, so I downloaded Lightroom Classic. Actually everything went very smooth, the old catalog got quickly updated and all the work I did in the past seems to be there. I was running some check on the catalog to be sure everything was really fine, one of them being "Finding all missing photos" from the Library menu: Lightroom found none. I then tried to synchronize the root folder of the catalog and here someting weird happened. The tab "Remove missing photos from catalog" found many picture "missing" (about 4%), but checking them through "Show missing photos" I noticed they are not missing at all. The pictures have no check that they are missing, and if I press cmd R on one of them they appear to be in the right folder within the rooth folder. I saw in the forum that this problem is not entirely new, but I couldn't find a solution. Perhaps it is connected to t
