Where is the option to discard any and all edits I have made to my RAW file? Although "As Shot" is selected, the first image below reflects changes. Originally, it was identical to the photo underneath it, as both were shot at the same time with the same settings. Thank you.
In Lightroom Classic's Print Module, the Page Setup pop-up menu that lets me select a paper page size no longer changes when I switch printers. This used to work (I have been printing in LR for years) and I can still print to the printers. I just can't tell LR the page size I want. I have no issues in other apps (PS, QImage, etc) which correctly show me the list of supported pages sizes. Indeed, LR seems to know about the options as the "Printer..." dialog has a Scale to fit paper size option that is correct. It just looks like the Page Setup list of print sizes never gets updated and stays on the "Any Printer" default list. I'm on a recent Macbook Pro M3 running current Sonoma (14.4) , latest version of LR (I tried deleting, re-installing, installing prio version, rebooting laptop, updated print driver, and anything else I could think of to no avail). Main printer I use is a Canon Pro 100, but same issue on another printer. And as I say, PS (etc) has no issues. I
For some reason, I am unable to export my photos as PNG files but have no issues with TIFF or JPG.If I try to export as PNG a few files export then I get the attached error. The contents of the file will vary depending on what I am exporting. However, the error states that files could not be found. However, the same error does not occur if I export to a different format, just PNG. TIA, Pete
Hi, Can you make it possible to choose a default development setting on import? While importing, it is possible to choose a development setting (i.e. Sharpening, noise-reduction etc.) with you own custom name to automatically apply to all your imported pictures. However, each time you do an import, you always have to select this setting from all your presets. I see 3 options: 1) From the preference menu make a setting like "Remember last settings on import" or something like that2) Add the option in the import menu itself like "Want to import with previous settings? checkbox"3) In the dropdown menu of your presets to apply on import a Checkbox with "Make this de default setting" It's a small thing but very helpfull if you have do this manually each and every time. Thank you!
I'm a wedding photographer, I use a seperate catalogue for each wedding and store the catalogues on an external SSD, whilst the RAWs are on my TB3 NAS enclosure connnected to two machines. Currently if I'm exporting and that LR is obvioulsy busy i just copy another catalogue to a second SSD drive and plug that in to my second machine to keep working (as both have access to the RAWs via the NAS), but it can get complicated with catalogue versions - so if possible I'd love to have them all stored on one drive and have access from both machines at the same time (not working in the same catalogue at the same time)LRC will not let me store the catalogues on the NAS.Any ideas?Working on LRC 14.0.1 and MBP 14in M1max + iMac 27 in (intel)
Hey guys, Windows 11 Lightroom Classic 14.1.1 After changing to Razer ornata v3 x keyboard, I cannot move sliders with mouse by grabing slider to adjust. However I can point and click to a given position and the slide jumps to that position. The issue was gone for a while after reconnecting keyboard to a different USB slot, but problem came back after a few sessions. It appears that my photos are part of the catalog but Lightroom Classic can't find them? I've got several fodlers that say "No photos in selected Folder." When I go to locate the files, the folder is already pointing at the right location and the files are there. If I try to syncronize the folder all of the photos are greyed out saying "This photo has already been imported". When I go to all photos and try to search for a filename, I get no results (no filters, unstacked, etc.). How can I resolve this?
Hello,I'm confounded by what appears to be a software bug. I travel extensively, and am a heavy shooter. Because I'm often without good internet, transferring images from my iPad to my PC using the cloud is a non-starter. My problem is that, at some time between 10/2023 and 6/2024, the star ratings are not getting transferred to the PC. This is a real problem for me once the images gret to my home desktop Lr and try to sort through a few thousand images. My workflow:-Shoot, transfer images from camera card to iPad Lr (v. 10.0.1 currently)-Edit photos on the iPad Pro, "share/export as/DNG" to get images from the iPad to my SSD every night during my trip, travel home-Import DNGs into albums on my desktop Windows 10 Pro PC Lr Classic (v. 14.0.1 / Camera Raw 17.0 currently) using the typical import methods to get from my SSD to desktopNote that there have been no hardware changes on either my iPad or PC since everything worked OK. I have a LrC metadata import preset for
Found a bug with changing ratings with a rating filter applied in a Publish service collection: If I first set a filter to show all 2 star photos or >2 stars then change any photo to 1 star the selected photo auto-advances two photos ahead of the original selection instead of just one (auto advance is turned off) Example: If I have Photo1, Photo2, Photo3, Photo4, Photo5 etc showing as the filtered photos in the grid and I change Photo2 to be only 1 star it is expected that Photo2 would disappear and then Photo3 would become the new selected photo. But it moves to Photo4 instead. This behaviour is only a problem in Publish Service collections. Using LR5.4 with Win7. -- Bruce
Hello, My version of LrC (Latest Version) keeps crashing (Grey Screen) after opening. I then need to go to Task Manager to end the LrC task. I am running Windows 11, latest versionNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card32gb of onboard memory Look forward to resolving this issue. Thanks!
I have an apple computer that is full and I need to move Lightroom and all to an external drive. I can't seem to get back to the part of the app to do this. Please help!
I have used Lightroom Classics for a long time. But now I have started to restore and colorize scanned photos for wich I need Photoshop. So after basic editing in Lightroom I right click on the photo in and choose "edit in Photoshop" (I have it set up so it saves the file as psd) on return. I do all the editing in PS and saves the file. Everything looks fine and Im back in Lihgtroom with my new file. I close Lightroom which also works fine. But the nest time it says that the Lightroom catalouge is corrupt at startup and I have to restore my backup. This has happend three times now. But today Ligtroom is still running (I can see it in activity on my PC) and it has been sitting now for over two hours with the files lrcat.lock, lrcat-shm and lrcat.wal still present. So I have i few questions:1. What do I do wrong when switching between Lightroom and Photoshop that seems to corrupt the Lightroom catalouge?2. Is Lightroom tryying to repair the catlouge for so long?3. Should I just abort Lig
Following my first file import in 2025, my entire Lightroom classic catalog suddenly seems corrupted: In library (gallery) view the thumbnail images are no longer visible, just appearing as greyed out boxes (albeit with correct filenames when hovering over the box). The images are apparently still in the catalogue, because if an image is selected and then processed in the develop module, the image can now be seen. However, for the entire catalogue it seems any editing changes (exposure, crop etc etc) have been lost and only the original raw image is available: 5 or 6 years of edited images effectively lost! App: Lightroom Classic 11.1, Camera Raw 14.1Platform: Win 11 Pro - 21H2 build 22000.376Steps: 1 Editing a photo in Develop module 2 Make any changes; i.e., exposure, tint, temp by grabbing the slider to adjust 3 The slider do not move when using the mouse. I can point and click to a given position - then the slide jumps to that position. Tried: Reset all Lightroom settings, cleared all cache, reinstalled LrCC, updated Graphical Card driver. The sliders work fine when openning a photo in Camera Raw via Bridge. Sliders work fine in Photoshop.
The LR 14.0 SDK is missing documentation for: - progressScope:done (dismissalStrategy) The parameter "dismissalStrategy" was added (and its name documented) but there is no description of its type or meaning. - These methods were added to LrDevelopController but not documented: countAllSpots deleteSelectedSpot deleteSelectedVariation getAllSpots getRemovePanelPreferences getSelectedSpotIndex getSelectedSpotParams getSelectedSpotType goToEyeCorrection goToRemove gotoNextVariation gotoPreviousVariation moveSelectedSpot refreshSelectedSpot setRemovePanelPreferences setSelectedSpotIndex setSelectedSpotParams setSelectedSpotType
I don't get a formal error message, but the masking simply doesn't work - it gives a couple of random red blotches that are nowhere near the subject. This is on a new computer (XPS 15) that is exactly like the old computer it replaced, except with more memory. On the old computer, the masking works fine! Has anyone else experienced this? Ideas on what to do? I've checked for driver updates, I've created a new Lightroom catalog, I've checked for Lightroom updates.
Hello!I'm looking for advice in matching the color, tone, and density of white backgrounds across a set of images. I have over 1000 images of reddish gloves on white backgrounds. They were all photographed in manual mode, same white balance, identical lighting and exposure, but there is still some variation in tone/color on the white backgrounds. They're extremely close, but I want the backgrounds matched exactly. They're not 100 percent white--I do want some tone and texture in the backgrounds. I'm looking for a quick and efficient way to match the backgrounds so they're all exactly the same. I've attached two of the images here for reference. Anyone have some advice?
Symptoms in LrC (14.0.1): LrC boots very slowly, takes a very long time to close (process stays active in Task Manager). Library actions take a long time: flags and other labels appear with a long delay (10s?), folders stay greyed out after a folder action. Other actions take a long time as well: save metadata, paste settings in develop, opening the export window, ... Symptom in Windows (11 Pro 23H2): Disk J (WD HDD): is continuously 100% saturated: 100% Active time, 5-15MB/s read speed. See attachment. This has been happening for quite some time. At any given moment this problem seems to return. I know how to solve it (temporarily) but it always seems to come back after a while. It always seems to return to the J: HDD The way I fix it (temporarily) is to sync metadata on the J disk. This takes a couple of hours, but after the process has finished, the HDD returns to a normal idle state (0% active time). The J disk is in my LrC library, it's a disk where
Hi Lightroom experts, I'm moving from my 2015 Macbook pro to a new computer shortly (about time right). I would be HEARTBROKEN if i lost my lightroom catalogue in the process as my external harddrive backups recently became corrupted (so those 'image preview files' are now very precious to me as they are my personal-not professional photos). I'd also like to make sure i manage space properly bc i feel like I'm not doing it right and in general feel a bit overwhelmed in my research. I'd love to have a video chat with someone who can see my screen and educate me in these matters. If necessary, happy to pay for this service as I am a bit desperate to get this right. Would you all have anyone to recommend?? Would LOVE the help!!!!!! Sincerely, CaitlinInMunich {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Frage:
Hi. I currently have a large library using Lightroom 4.4 on Windows. The catalog file is local and photos are on a NAS shared drive. I am moving to a) new Windows 11 PC, and b) putting both catalog and photos on the machine's internal drive. What is the best way to migrate?
I am experiencing an issue with the masking feature in the paid version of the Lightroom app. Here are the details:-*Platform:* [Windows Desktop] - *Version of Lightroom:* 14.1.1- *Description of the Issue:*- When I attempt to use the masking tool (e.g., Select Subject, Linear Gradient, etc.), it either does not respond or produces unexpected results.
I'm currently running Lightroom Classic 13.4 under Windows 11. In a previous version of Lightroom, I used to be able to change the justification of custom text overlays in a slideshow template by moving the anchor to the left, middle and right, but now all such text is left-justified no matter where I place the anchor. How do I fix this?
