Lightroom Classic

In Develop module when I try and zoom in to edit a small section of the image the photo enlarges a litle bit then goes black and I have to zoom out to see the image again. This happens regardles of what is selected in terms of  enlarging from image size Fit, Fill, or 66% etc etc    Using MB2 with latest Apple and LR version downloaded ...please advise how to fix this?   Thanks      [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

When I import photos into Lightroom Classic 14.0.1, RAW files from a shoot, and create Smart Previews, corresponding DNG files are generated in the *smart previews.lrdata catalog. If I copy these DNG files to an iPhone, some of them display strangely — contrast is lost, and strange color tinting appears. I am running Lightroom Classic (14.0.1) on an M1 iMac. I'm trying to screen mirror to an M1 MacBook Air. Both computers run Sequoia 15.1.1. My Lightroom files all sit on the iMac.I can set up the screen mirroring but Lightroom Classic doesn't seem to play ball. For example in Library mode with a Grid View I want to show the selected individual image in a Secondary display on the MacBook Air. In that way I can be viewing the Grid on one screen but see an individual image  in detail on the other.But Lightroom resolutely will only appear on one screen at a time. Is this just a feature of Lightroom and I'm asking the impossible, or is it a bug, or am I not going about it the right way? Mike  

So I have Canon and Nikon cameras and AI denoise works fine on their RAW files but I also have the DJI AIR 3 drone that when I try to use AI denoise on it's DNG files it doesn't denoise at all, instead it just sharpens the existed noise.Is there hope?

To free up space on my internal drive, I all of my international travel folders to an external drive.  This was quite a while ago and I've never had any problems accessing themBut today (several upgrades to LRC later), I tried to move another folder on my internal and could not.I should be able to drag/drop....yes?When I do that, I'm unable to drop it on the drive name OR as a new folder on that drive.So, I created a folder on the external (outside of LR) with the same folder name figuring I'd drag/drop all of the subfolders into that one.  But that new folder isn't showing up on as a folder in LR.I'm stuck. I can think of some workarounds, but this SHOULD work.  And, since I'm told repeatedly to organize my photo files from inside of LRC, that's what I'm tryin' to do!

Hi,  yesterday I build a new Workstation PC, to replace my old System. Hardware is as follows: MoBo: Asus Prime B650-Plus CPU: AMD Ryzen 9900x 4,4Ghz 12-CoreRAM: Corsair 64GB (2x32) 6000MhzStorage: WD 4TB NVME SN850xGPU: Asus Prime 4070 Ti Super OS: Win 11 Pro, 24H2 basically, LR has more than enough resources to work with.  Now heres the thing, Lightroom starts up as fast as expected, and when I am in the editing module its also fast. But, when I click on the Import Button, it gets stuck. I get that round-blue-spinny-circle thingy as a cursor (similar to the rainbow thingy on mac), and its just stuck. And its not like its running out of resources, Task Manager shows no crazy use of anything. Its just like Lightroom doesnt want to open the Import Panel, or does not know how to?  Sometimes, after a few minutes, I either get a "Lightroom is not Responding" Pop-Up, or sometimes it works, until I click on lets say the ca

I'm working on a new MacBook Pro and trying to create an Import preset so that file copies get written to an external SanDisk SSD. On starting the import, LrC recognizes the folder, but when executing the import I get a message "The files could not be copied to the backup location." I checked the SanDisk and saw the file had not been copied. To ensure that there wasn't a SanDisk failure, I copied another file from my desktop computer into the same folder and was able to find it with Mac Finder.  Not sure what to do next.

TLDR; when mac loses local network access, lightroom keeps trying to build previews until it hits 120gb of application memory and crashes.    If usung remote storage of photos, and the os drops the network mount lightroom classic keeps trying to build previews without warning.    Something leaks and consumes between 120 and 130gb of application memory.    Network drops for Mac not Windows.  Drops every 5 mins or randomly  New Mac m4 pro, was migrating from Windows,  maybe I'll go back to Windows...   [moved from bugs to discussion according to the community rules - Mod.]

Hi guys,I usually work on adjustments on a virtual copy - or several, and when I am satisfied I transfer the adjustments to the original image via "Sync Settings" or "Previous". Neither seem to work and no adjustments are transferred between images.  This is what happens: "Sync Settings" blinks and stops without effecting any changes; same with  "Previous" but a message flashes on the screen for a fracrion of a second - I was able to decipher "Your changes were pasted .... AI ...., etc" but it happens too fast to read intelligibly.  Seems like it's only happening to this one image. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Hello,Since the new update Lightroom classic 13.3, the script ExtractPreviews doesn't work. I have put the new ExtractPreviews.lua, but I have always the same message : "Failed to extrac or write the preview for x photos - this may be because no preview was available or an error occured while writing the preview to the destination".Have you a resolution ?Thanks'

Will LR 5.7.1 run on Windows 11?

Hi , I hope someone can help . I went looking for my missing files in Lightroom and it was a zip file on my Mac . Because it wouldn't let me click on the  zip file , I opened it and whatever it asked me I said yes ! I went back to Lightroom and now all my folders are blank and I thought I'd maybe go and import the images again from my file cards and it won't let me import anything either . it's like my whole Lightroom has grinded to a halt . I've restarted my Mac but it didn't help . I'm freaking out - can someone please help me ! Thankyou so much 

I updated Lightroom Classic to 4.0.1. Every 20-30 minutes the up and down keys gets stuck on temperature (cold/warm)? I can't hover over any adjustment (exposure, contrast etc) to change it with the arrows on my keyboard. When I use the arrows on my keyboard it just adjusts the temperature. Hello Adobe Community,I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with Adobe Lightroom Classic on my new laptop. After about 1.5 minutes of working in the program, Lightroom suddenly freezes completely. Lightroom ne détecte pas les personnes sur les photos. Je peux seulement utiliser les outils de base pinceau, dégradé ... mais pas avec les nouvelles fonctionalités. HAllo,ich habe zwei externe Platten an meinem Mac:wenn ich den Ordner Bilder von der Platte in LR importiere erscheint Bilder-Bilder'Wenn ich nun einen Ordner von der anderen Platte in den Ordner(Zirkus)  Bilder verschiebe entsteht die StrukturBilderUnterordner  BilderUnterordner ZirkusUnterordnerZirkusund dann die Bilder.Im Finder stimmt die Struktur. Bilder/Zirkus und da die Bilder.Wie kann ich das vermeiden? Macht ein totales Chaos.Ich möchte die Bilder von der einen Platte zur anderen verschieben.Vielen Dank schon malPeter

When running Lightroom Classic the iMac says it is running out of application memory.  My 2TB drive has 400GB available and my memory is 40.  It says LRC is using from 50 to 90 GB of application memory and forces a close down.  Am running on a 2017 iMac with 27" screen.  Can only update to Ventura.

Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on Mac hangs for long periods of time when I move a lot of photos from one directory to another. Sampling the process seems to suggest that the program is frantically refreshing its views and hanging the UI while it’s doing so. These hangs would last for many minutes and seem to get progressively worse, basically halting the data transfer. One workaround I have found is to minimize the app window while the files are being transferred. Once the files are moved, restore the app window.

When I open Lightroom, I now get a pop-up error message that says "Connection failed - Please check your internet connection and try again. [#1000]". The error continues to pop-up every time I export my photos and I am no longer able to use my Pixieset plugin. My internet is working fine so not sure what the issue is. Has anyone experienced this as well? Any solutions?

I'm moving folders from external to internal and have to keep expanding the Folders to drag and drop. Queria Actulizar al 14.1 y se quedaba al 1% sin avanzar. Dsistanle y volvi a intentar instalarlo y me pasa lo mismo con la instalacion.en cambio con las otras actualizaciones de photshop y demas no hay problemas

Each time I try to import photos from my iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17.0.3 into my Lightroom Classic 12.4 library, the preview of the on-device images will show up as empty rectangles. Strangely enough, if I switch my import source to something else (e.g. a local directory), then back to my iPhone, more previews would show up. If I repeat this dance several more times, eventually most, if not all, of the previews would be visible.   This is clearly a bug. Lightroom Classic is able to read the previews, just not the first time.     [Moved from Bugs to Discussions by moderator. I uninstalled/reinstalled LR Classic (v14.0.1), trashing all preferences at the time. I even restart my iMac M3. I'm still unable to build previews for all 5000 images in my catalog. When I instruct LR to build all standard previews I get a progress bar with no progress. Oddly, when I click on a grid square the preview builds. But meanwhile I have a 5000 image catalog with very few previews. Very frustrating. Any help is appreciated.

In Develop Module watching the layout of my just created Book. When I find a photo that needs to be adjusted, hit D to move to the develop module, correct the photo, and then... how do I get back tho the same layout in the Develop module that in was watching? Any shortcut? I find that by now I have to move to Grid (hit G), select my book's collection,press on the arrow icon and I'm back. Any shortest path? Thanks in advance.
