Lightroom Classic

I am buying a new laptop to primarily use Lightroom Classic.  I can get a 24 GB laptop with a Nivida RTX 4060 (newer plus 8 GB of dedicated memory) or a laptop with 40 GB or main memory with a Nivida RTX 3050 graphics processor with 6 GB of dedicated memory.  Which is mmore important?  Either option will have an Inel Core Ultra 9  185H processor.

Lightroom Classic version: 14.0.1 [ 202410161356-30922cfc ]macOS version: 15.0 Issue: When viewing photos in the library module I can see various badges in the bottom right of each photo (e.g. photo has been cropped, photo has edits, etc). When navigating from the develop module back to grid view in the library module those badges are no longer visible. You can get them to pop in by hovering the mouse around individual photos, but at first glance it appears as if none of the photos visible have any badges. This has been affecting my workflow as I rely on the existence of these badges. Steps to reproduce:1. Start in grid view. When opening Lightroom for the first time badges appear as normal.2. Select a photo by double-clicking on it (note: the double-click seems to be necessary to reproduce) and press 'D' to bring it into the develop module.3. Make some edits to the photo (also seems to be necessary, but the edits themselves aren't important).4. Press 'G' to go back to grid v

This is meant to be in the lightroom classic community, but creating a new post results in it being blocked for spam. So its here.   Recently, I upgraded my computer and after adding new hardware, lightroom classic started to crash, causing my whole computer to crash, the crashing appears to be kinda random. My mouse could still move around but everything slowly grinds to a halt (all windows functions stop to work until my mouse freezes, a window comes up to stop the process which is not responding, my wallpaper also becomes black), and my whole computer becomes unusable instantly, requiring a power cycle.   I changed my CPU, RAM and motherboard as described below: Before: Motherboard -> unknown but I can find out if required (intel I think) CPU -> Intel i5-2500S @ 2.5GHz RAM -> Unknown DDR3 memory.   After: Motherboard -> Asus tuf b450m-plus gaming CPU -> AMD Ryzen 3 3200g RAM -> Corsair lpx vengeance 2x 8GB   Other hardware (unchanged): GPU ->

Algunas fotos se exportan sin la edición final. Las veo en la pestaña de revelado y se ven bien, tal como la edité, pero en la pestaña de biblioteca se ven diferentes y cuando las exporto se ven como en bioblioteca y no como en revelado. Esto me pasa con solo algunas fotos (aunque estén en la misma carpeta). Además la pestaña de Antes/después se ve extraña. El antes no muestra el real antes de las fotos, muestra cualquier color (no me pasa en todas las fotos, solo en algunas)Ayuda!

Logged onto Lightroom Classic and discovered that one of my collections-labeled Instagram had changed.  Instead of the one collection with that name there were 2 collections.  One named Instagram and one named Instagram 2.  I did not do this.  The number of images in each did not concide with the number in the original collection.I found one image im my catalog that I knew was in the original collection.  I clicked on the icon in the lower right indicating it was in a collection-Instagram.  I clicked on it and the entire original collection appeared.  I deleted the 2 incorrect collections and created a new one naming it Instagram and put all of the images into it.   The next time I logged on the new one I had created was gone and those 2 other ones were there.Then I created a new collection.  Named it New and put all of the correct images  into it.  When I logged on again my New collection was there PLUS those 2 collections labeled

I just got a new computer.  I installed Lightroom Classic CC.  I try and import some files.  But Lightroom and Windows freeze and I have to power cycle to get back control of my computer.  Sometimes I can get to the import process and get one or two files imported before Lightroom freezes, other times, just opening the import window freezes the whole system.This is my computer Specs:Alienware Area-51 R5Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-7980XE CPU @ 2.60GHzRAM: 32.0GB (31.9GB usable)Windows 10 ProMain Drive C: Toshiba SSD 512GBData Drive 😧 2TBDisplay Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TiThere are no log files in the Adobe Lightroom log folder.I have tried turning on and off the graphics card settings.I have tried saving into different drives.I have done a system restore to factory settings.I have checked for updates.No luck in finding out why this is happening.  Do you have any suggestions?  Every other application I have had on here works.

Al querer importar imagenes a lightroom classic se congela en "importar archivos..." Alguna solución?

In Library and Develop modes, my photo disappears when I try to zoom in. I can apply edits see in grid and loupe view, but if I try to zoom in, it disappears.  {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator} 

Everytime I edit new pictures with AI masks, previous pictures with AI mask needs to be update all the time. Even with update AI settings. after a while. It needs to be updated again.   LR Classic Version 12.2 Windows 10 22H2   [moved from bugs to discussions - Mod.]

GreetingsDue to Windows PC HW failure, I reinstalled Lightroom 6 (upgrade from 5), both with perpetual license. I did the installation with the activation codes, Lightroom 5 from the package, Lightroom 6 from Adobe email. Lightroom 6 does not start and asks for registration on the Adobe website. I usually work with ARW raw files in LR Classic. When I use the Denoise feature, Enhanced NR-dng files are created.Can I delete the original ARW files - is all the information contained in the enhanced NR-dng files? Or do I lose the possibility of non-destructive editing (except for the denoising, of course, which cannot be undone)?

HELP!!! I built smart previews and started working without my hard drive. When I was ready to export, I reconnected my hard drive but an exclamation point showed up next to the pictures. After I clicked it, all the edits on my photos DISAPPEARED! How do I get my edits back??? I'm about to cry just thinking I'm gonna have to re-edit all the photos again 😞

Hello,  I am using Lightroom Classic on a Macbook Pro and store all my files on two external 4TB hard drives. The first is the primary drive and the secind is for backup. When I import files the files go to both. When I edit, I only edit from the Primary Drive. I discovered that the primary drive no longer has space and that the Secondary Drive (backup) has about 1.5 TB available. I did my best to check to see if they match and they seem as though they are a mirror of eachother (by file folders and name). I  also ran Disk Utility on the Primary Drive and it confirmed that it is full and didn't indicate a problem. Are file sizes a different size once they are edited? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Issue(s):- Files randomly losing their edits in Lightroom Classic. Some pictures show up right with their previous editing either in Library or Develop modules until I select them and they instantly lose their edits and return  to their initial state (no-edit). Undo command wouldn't revert to their previous state.   This shouldn't happen as I have checked the "Automatically write changes into xmp" option in the Catalog settings from thge beginning.   Environment :Lightroom Classic Version Number: V14.01 - Camera Raw 17.0OS Version Number: Windows 11 23H2Computer: Intel i7-12700KF - 64Go - Nvidia RTX-3090 24Go   Steps to reproduce: it appears randomly - I couldn't identify the kind of pictures that are affected or not. This might be a bug? I was using color labels to sort some pictures, and was using the box in the grid view to apply a color label to photos.  I went into the metadata window and  opened the 'Edit Metadata' window for the photo I was looking at...  I decided against doing anything and cancelled the action.  Upon returning to the library view, now the color label icon isn't showing, thus there is nothing to click on to change the color label in that view.  Mysteriously the grid cells now show some of the color label in the view. Troubleshooting:1) right-clicking on the image going to color label->(color choice works)2) the color label choices are on the bar at the bottom.  They behave normally.3)The other clickable items in the grid view (flag, rotate picture) work normally.4) I tried exiting and restarting LC to return with the same situation.5) I checked the forum, went to the view menu and the show rating footer is turned on. I assume I

Hi! Recently, LR Classic stopped working for me. I ended up reinstalling it. I immediately noticed that my earlier work apparently had dissappeared. Anoying but no disaster as I have all files (originals and exported jpegs). But, the problem is that I cannot again import photos that I had imported earlier. LR says "it seems like this photo is a duplicate of a photo in the catalog". How can I access earlier import, or make repeat imports? Thanks a lot for your insights! / Mats T, Sweden

Hi all, i've just upgraded to v14.0.1 of Lightroom Classic and i have a strange behavior that i didn't have before on v13.I'm on Windows 11 23h2 (22631.4317).When i switch to “develop” mode, the little squares for toggling the profile (Addobe, Camera, Canon in my case) are grayed out and not accessible, and if i zoom in on the image it doesn't update to render and sharp, it stays blurry.I have to switch to library mode and then back to development mode for everything to work properly.And it's the same for all my images, and i ahev to do it everytime, even if i already did this to an image.I should point out that I shoot in Raw with a Canon R5.It gives the impression that i'm on a preview image that doesn't have full definition and not on my RAW file.Is this a bug that has already been reported in version 14.01?

I'm looking to move photos around programatically. The basic equivalent of dragging a folder around in the Folders hierarchy. I can see how I could "move" any old file with LrFileUtils, but I want LR to keep track of the move in its index.Thanks,Andy

Hi all,I am struggling with how to change the sort order of collections that I am sharing publicly on the Lightroom Gallery on the web, and would appreciate some help please. I can sync my collections easily from Lightroom Classic to the web, and can see them in Lightroom on the web. I then want to use the 'Share in Gallery' function as shown below: After selecting this option, the collection appears in a random order in the Gallery list, and I don't seem to have any control over the sort order : So my question is "How do I change the sort order of collections in the content list of my Gallery?" As far as I an see, they are sorted by some random at, that does not reflect the name or creation date, and ends up with my gallery being all owver the place: Thanks in advance folksGeoff

Bumped into something "odd" this AM and I'm trying to track it down.  I shot a sports event earlier this week.  My typical workflow is to ingest with Photomechanic, edit & upload in Lightroom Classic (14.01), and display on a Smugmug site. When I looked at an image on the Smugmug site this morning, I saw "Any Vision" keywords on my files that I never added.  Moreover, I can see those same keywords via Photomechanic on images that I ingested with Photomechanic and brought into Classic, but never uploaded. I can see those keywords on my Smugmug site and via Photomechanic, but I cannot see them in Lightroom Classic.  Smugmug has assured me that they don't automatically apply any keywords.  I'm waiting on Camerabits/Photomechanic, but does anyone know if Lightroom Classic is now adding these keywords?  Thanks.

All drivers are up to date. This just started after last update. I have tried everything I read on the subject. Hi,recently I started noticing the same issue described here:Re: Lens Correction Issues Namely:1) I import all my pictures with a copyright preset, no development settings2) all my pictures taken with the sony 16mm fisheye have the lens correction automatically turned on (this lens has an adobe supplied profile). I'm not sure when this started happening because I don't use a fisheye exactly everyday. I can say that this doesn't seem to happen for any other lens.I don't have another fisheye here, so I cannot test.Also it didn't happen the last time I imported such pictures (same catalog, same computer, different Lightroom - it was july 2016).Does anybody have an explanation?thanks
