Lightroom Classic

I’m on Adobes Photography Plan and I’m up to date with versions and I’m currently on version 11.4, although this problem has probably happened on the last 6 or so updates.LRC just changes whatever the date of the shoot was on the photograph and changes it to the date of the import, as you import a batch of photos. I have looked at various `fixes` that have been suggested but none of them work and although you can change roughly the date of the shoot in Metadata, you can’t change the date to the exact date the photo was shot.When Keywording now, I put the month and day the photo was shot, i.e. April, 17th and on the photos where LRC changes the date and I don’t know the date the photo was taken I also add in `Date shown on this photo is not correct`.This problem is random though, on a batch import of say 50 photos maybe 40 would have the dates changed.Any ideas?Thank you

I am in the process of merging multiple LrC catalogs into a single master catalog and consolidate/move all the photos to a new large disk. I learned this process from a workshop and successfully done two of such operations. Here are the steps I took:1. Open the catalog in LrC of the one I want to merge into the single catalog;Select All Photographs; then in "edit" choose Select None; then in "File" choose "Export as catalog" and select "Export negative files" and "Include available preview"; then enter the location where I want to exported catalog file etc.This operation will generate all the folders in the LrC catalog to be exported and the catalog files.Once this operation completes, to merge into the single master catalog:2. Open the single master catalog in LrC:In "File" select Import from another catalog"; then in the popup, navigate to the folder where the exported catalog and folders reside, select the catalog file AND ALL the folders; then enter the location where you want to m

Canon R6 Mark II doesn't tether with Lightroom. Camera not detected. Lightroom 14.1,  Mac Ventura 13.4, Firmware 1.5.0. Brand new tethering cable seems totally fine.   I am loosing my mind as I have photoshoot with 100 employees and I need to get this thing running.   HELP!!

I do not want to import all my Apple photos.  A while ago a member of this community gave me instructions about how to import only specific photos.  Unfortunately I can't find those emails and am not sure of the steps.  Most grateful for any help.

Two big issues have been happening for 4 months now. The 1st issue is I will sit down to edit photos, import them, edit them, then go to export the images all in the same sitting and LRc tells me the photos do not exist on the disk. Nothing was moved. The other issue is when I go to create a collection I click the + on collection and then create collection and nothing happens. No collection is created, no error message, nothing. The only way to create a collection is to restart LRc and I can create one collection then I need to restart if I want to make another one. I'm running the most current version but this problem has been happening for 4 months now. I have tried optimizing my catalog as well. 

Lightroom Classic zeigt 2 Datein die permanent (seit Wochen) einen Synchronisationsfehler zeigen. Im Lightroom mobile werden keine Synch-fehler angezeigt.Wie kann ich machen, damit die beiden Fotos (siehe Anhang) nicht mehr als Synch-fehler angezeigt werden?Im Anhang der Screenshot, wie der Synch-fehler in LRc angezeigft wird. Since the update, rating is lagging to infinity. I never know if it will rate an image or not.   Did some testing, when pressing 7 times for example 1 on the keyboard, it jump every time to the next image, like it is rated, but no star appears, then like 20secs later, it shows the stars. undoing the rating by pressing 0, same effect.   Or other behaviour, it will rate it immediatly, but now show the star it seems, when going click back on the image, it will update the start. No while typing this doing experiments. now unrating with 0 doesnt work (it does show on screen that it set rating to zero) but the star remains.   This is unworkable!   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. With the latest LRC version 14.1.1 and to a lesser degree earlier versions, tasks like masking did not work quickly or at all with my Wacom tablet (PTH-860).  Only if I lift the pen from the tablet and replace it onto the tablet (defocus-refocus) did it work - immediately. Everything has always been fast and fine with the mouse. All drivers (Nvidia, Wacom) are the latest.  I tried all variations of enabling and disabling GPU performance.  Starting LRC from the executable file does not solve the problem (not a corrupted shortcut).  I encountered some slowing with earlier LRC versions but this is pronounced and reproducible, with the pen and not the mouse. What solves the problem is if I invoke LRC via the Nvidia app (optimized for LRC)....and only that enables the pen tablet to work as well as the mouse, without the need for defocus-refocus to be used each time for each action in masking and elsewhere. Any thoughts on why LRC does not "see" the driver fully

I have two catalogues, one is my main catalogue that i keep all of my photos in that is backed up to a NAS. The other is my "travel" catalogue that i have on my laptop and use as a temporary spot to edit photos while I am on a vacation shooting or just traveling locally to edit photos. Once I am back from a trip or done with edits, I import photos (and edits) from my travel catalogue to my main catalogue. All good.  The other day i went to sync photos from my Main catalogue to my Travel catalogue and something happened and it stopped. I thought, no big deal, kick off the import again and this is where the problem is. My travel catalogue thinks that i have these photos already in my catalogue and wont let me sync them from my main Catalogue. On the Import from Catalogue screen, it does its search for duplicate photos and then brings up the selection window. Bonjour,J'ai Lightroom 6 depuis plusieurs années avec un Nikon D7500 et tout fonctionnait à merveille quand j'avais Windows 10 sur mon ordinateur. Maintenant j'ai Windows 11, donc j'ai du réinstaller Lightroom 6 à partir de mon CD. J'ai toujours le même appareil photo Nikon D7500 mais Lightroom ne lit plus les fichiers .nef. Message d'erreur suivant: «Le fichier n'est pas reconnu par la prise en charge du format Raw de Lightroom.»Ce type de message apparait habituellement quand on change d'appareil photo mais ce n'est pas mon cas puisque depuis 2022, je possède le Nikon D7500 avec Lightroom 6 et tout allait très bien. Pourquoi après le passge de Windows 10 à Windows 11 cela ne fonctionne plus? 

Since yesterday I have a very strange problem in Lightroom Classic.  Many images can only be seen very, very small in the ‘Develop’ module and therefore cannot be edited. They also don't react when you click on 100% or more, but remain stubbornly tiny. At first I thought they were not visible at all, until I noticed this ‘fly poo’ in the centre. Here is an example of two images that behave differently in that way. One can be seen normally, the other as discussed. All images are processed RAWs and work fine in ACR, for example. And until the day before yesterday it worked perfectly well  in LrC, too. But I also have the problem with unprocessed RAWs or TIFFs. I can't recognise any rule at this point. ​   Of the 6 pictures in the collection, 4 behave in this strange way. I did reset the default settings, did rebuild the previews, restarted LrC and the computer multiple times...  nothing helps so far. (My system: MacOS Sequoia, LrC 14.1.1)   Has anyone seen this

Dear all, I am trying to figure out how to edit only a section of my image in monochrome black and white for more black and white control rather than just taking down the saturation  and keep other areas of my image in color in Lightroom classic. How do I do that? Thanks you in advance for any help.

For no obvious reason, since the start of the year (2025) my version of  lightroom classic has suddenly developed numerous bugs/issues that render it almost unusable. Not sure exactly when it happened, but may have been after most the recent auto-update (LR v.14.11) around Christmas time. Also perhaps relevant, I had also recently upgraded my laptop from Windos 10 to Windows 11. I will probably discover more bugs, but so far;For my entire historical catalogue (9000+ files)  it seems any editing changes (exposure, crop etc etc)  have been lost and only the original raw image is available. Lightroom Classic does not import or sync. I have optimized the catalog. I have created a new catalog and it never imports or syncs the photos. When importing the photos they do not appear on the first screen.   When syncing the folder where I have jpg and dng files, the initial dialog box appears where it says there are 33 photos. When clicking on "sync", on the next screen the photos do not appear and the "Import" button cannot be pressed because it is disabled.     My computer is a Mac with Mac Os 15.2 and LRCC 14.1.1   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I tried to import a folder whihc will contain my 2025 raw files but I can't see the folder in Light Room

Hey! I'm using Lightroom Classic. I copied all of the photo folders from a hard drive to a portable SSD, then combined three different lightroom catalogs into one master catalog. After I combined them, a number of photos say, "This File Could Not Be Found." Then have an exclamation mark in the top right corner despite being on my SSD. On settings, it says the location of the photos are the SSD. How do I "find" the files?  Thank you in advance!  

I am working with Lightroom Classic and Photoshop CS6. When I go to edit in Photoshop the images looked washed out. Lightroom, Photoshop and my EIZO monitor are all set to Adobe RGB. I have also re calibrated my monitor. Help please.

Apparently the target collection disappeared after I have renamed the catalog.  What other potential problems will happen after the catalog is renamed ? Is it possible to get back the target collection if I rename the catalog back to the old catalog name again ?  I am using the 14.1.1  Lightroom Classic windows version.   

Hello. My Lightroom Classic has become very slow after upgrading to 14.0.1. Every edit takes more time than before the update. And there are weird scratching noises coming from my laptop when I make edits. i have a 1.14 GB Catalog of about 86K photos. Was always working fine until a couple months ago - I would import photos but wasnt able to Flag photos and couldnt cycle through Loupe Info (when pressing "I").  But when i restart LR, it all shows up and works as normal.Ive tried Optimizing Catalog, restarting computer, resetting preferences, but the problem persists and Ive noticed its starting to happen on other catalogs also. The catalog in question is on a portable SSD drive, but it always has been.Im on Mac Studio (M1 Ultra) running Sequoia 15.2, running LR Classic 14.1.1 Release. Any help is appreciated!Evan

Lightroom classic started to crash constantly (within minutes) in ‘ Finding People’ mode.  Investigated problem in the usual way of adjusting/resetting preferences and catalogue settings, deleting and reinstalling Lightroom classic, creating a new small test catalogue of 700 images, but to no avail.  Ran Lightroom diagnostics, Event Viewer (/Windows logs/system), Task Manager for clues.  Noticed that ‘Finding People’ is a CPU-intensive activity (close to 100%).  Downloaded HWMonitor and discovered all CPU cores were running close to 100C.  Perused literature for solutions but thought it worthwhile to check grills on PC case.  Inlet grills were a series of small holes on both sides of the front panel and were partially/totally occluded.  A quick vacuum and re-ran ‘People Finder’ without problems on a catalogue of 25,000 files.  Noted CPU core temperatures were now running around 75C in a relatively warm room temperature of 30C.  I was surpris

When I try to do a custom crop, it will not allow me to drag the handles to any custom size, it just reverts to the origina crop size.  Has the crop process changed from the previous versions where Seleting Custom, then dragging the handles could create any crop size?   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I am trying to print a simple 8 x 10 photo using the normal page feeder (not the manual feeded). I have the correct paper size selected in LrC and the printer has sheets of letter size paper ready to print. For some reason the printer (Canon Pro-10) gives me an error message "start manual feed printing". I don't want manual feed, but I can't figure out how to change it, so it is not manual feed by default.
