I'm using LrC v 13-3. Unfortunately, I didn't set the time and date on my cameras before I did an event. Now, after importing my images, they are not in order, and sorting them by date and time won't matter. Is there a fix to arrange images in a custom order without having to export them individually?
Windows 11, Lightroom Classic V 13.5I have just installed a new 2TB M2 SSD on my MSI motherboard to host my working files (At the same time there was an update to LR 13.4). I have 4 other SSD’s used for back-ups etc. At the same time Creative cloud updated Lightroom Classic to v13.4. All programs are on the (separate) C: drive. Working files are all in a single OneDrive folder on the 😧 drive with a full back-up on E:. On installation of the SSD I had to re-allocate the drive letters to make sure the new drive was the 😧 drive. (Lightroom 3)I needed to import some images and discovered that Lightroom does not recognise the new drive in the import dialogue. The main catalogue sees it on the files structure and library (lightroom 1) and I can access all the folders and sub-folders, but when I come to import and click on the drive letter no folders or sub folders appear (lightroom 2). They appear normally on all the other drives. The folders all appear in the back-up E: driv
Lightroom Version Number 14.0.1 Operating SystemmacOS 15 SequoiaAfter years on a PC I bought a MacBook Pro. All my images are on an external drive which is where want to keep them.I have no images on the Mac and have never imported anything. How do I point L.R. to the image folder on the external,or is there another way?Thank you,,Richard
To date, there have been over a dozen reports of the following: When the user hovers the mouse over a preset in the Presets panel, the preset is correctly previewed in both the Navigator and Loupe (main) views. But when the user clicks on the preset to apply it, it doesn't get applied to the photo, and moving the mouse away restores the photo's previous appearance. For most of these reports, resetting preferences fixes the problem. These previous reports will be merged here to make it easier for users with this problem to find the authoritative thread.
Hi guys, So I'm trying to import around 10GB of photos to LRC from an SSD, which I had just transfer from another HDD, I get this error from the imports, Iv'e tried a few times, once from the HDD, once from the SSD and I get the same error.I am using a Macbook and already authorized LRC for full dusk accsses. Do anybody know what might be the problem? and how to solve it? Thanks in advance,Stav.
So I am very confused with the migration of my photos from one drive to another and making sure that all of the edits I have done remain available in lightroom. 1. Before I get to in details into my confusion, what is the best way to migrate everything from A drive to B drive? 2. How do you make sure that the catalog I was using on A drive goes to B drive? 3. After migration, would all of the folders and edits reflect? Thanks
In the wake of the most recent LrC update, the healing tools in the Develop mode stopped working. It is simply not working at all. (I test the same tool in Camera Raw, and it worked fine.) I tried an LrC uninstall and reinstall, but that made no difference. How do I fix this?
This might be a bug in LRC, using v. 14.0.1 on MacOS 15.0. When I export a RAW file as a regular JPG with ProPhoto RGB profile and select "Limit File Size To:", LRC obeys the limit (say, 15,000 K). However, the moment I check "HDR Output" in that Export dialog box, LRC outputs a JPG that's much larger (in my case, 112 MB). (My original is a ~200 MB RAF raw file.) What's going on here? Why is LRC ignoring the filesize limit checkbox when outputting HDR profile images? Thanks.
So I'm trying to organize my files and I tried to rename my LRCAT files with something that makes sense for me but now the images don't come up. I tried to find an answer here in the community but maybe my word search was off because I couldn't find soemthing. Anyone have ideas?

I am running LRC 14.01 from the Creative Cloud. I just changed to shooting RAW as I finally saw the advantages for my use. I did the import from a computer card in a card reader. The RAW files were not found in the import, only the jpegs from previous days.. I am not shooting RAW+JPG, I only shoot RAW now. I have read the other suggestions, and I will try downloading the files first then uploading from my computer.
Creating a slideshow hangs while "Preparing preview". It does not always hang at the same place. Optimizing the catalog changes where it hangs, but does not resolve the problem. There are 171 items in the collection. A few of them are video, but it doesn't hang an a video file. I cannot see anything different about the photo where it hangs than the one before it or the one after. Before it was hanging on slide 66. After optimizing it hangs on slide 105. Lightroom Classic 12.3, Windows 11
Having not done any settings changes, the display of profile thumbnails in the Develop tab of LR CC (using latest version, but this started before the upgrade to the latest version) is messed up. If I chose grid I used to get 2 thumbnail previews per row with each thumbnail correctly sized to fit. Now the thumbnails are a bit larger so the second one is partially off the screen. If I click on it there is no slider to move back to the move back to the one on the lift except to click on it and apply the profile. If I widen the column I get three thumbnails per row but the third one is partially off the screen resulting in the same condition as in bullet 1 (see first attached screen shot). If I pick large instead of Grid I get stranger results. Some thumbnails are too large to display the full image and in some cases the thumbnails are very small and one per row (see second and third attached screen shots). Using MAC OS Seq
Lightroom 14.0.1 issue:When Selecting import, the source media loading wheel is excrutiating slow. It took 10 minutes to load half a gigabite. It has now taken 5 minutes and still has not loaded a 41MB folder of 10 screenshots. Does anybody have a solution? Trying to chat with adobe support chat during an outage isn't connecting me with anybody. Thank you!
I just upgraded to Lightroom Classic 14.1. I have a small catalog of 610 photos, which I have been using with prior versions, with no issue. When simply trying to view in the Library module, I keep on getting alerts that Lightroom is non-responsive. If I wait 10-15 seconds it becomes responsive again and I can scroll through another 3-5 photos before becoming non-responsive. This is new since the upgrade. Is anyone else experiencing this same issue? I am using Windows 11. Closing Lightroom and reopening had no effect in improving the issue.
For the last few days I have been unable to import images and it's saying Destination not writable. I have updated my Mac 27inch to latest version and also updated Lightroom cc. I have not changed any thing. Can someone please help?.
As far as I know, there is currently no option in Lightroom Classic to combine automatic editing with custom adjustments. I would love to see a feature that allows users to define manual adjustments that are applied on top of the automatic edits. These additional adjustments could include: Exposure: Brightening all photos by +0.3 stops after the automatic adjustments. White Balance: Increasing the white balance for all photos by +100 points. Highlights: Boosting the highlights for all photos by +10 points. The important part is that the automatic editing remains the foundation, while the user-defined values act as additional adjustments, allowing for greater flexibility. This would make it much easier to adapt the auto adjustments to match a specific style or project vision without needing to fine-tune each image manually. I believe this feature would greatly enhance the workflow for many photographers and content creators.
I use the "Open as Layers in Photoshop..." command often in my work. I deal with a high volume of product photos, and it would be great if I was able to have a shortcut for this command. It would also be great if I could select a lot of photos and have them open as layers into seperate files based on the stacks. (not 1 photoshop file with all the layers, but instead several photoshop files, 1 for each stack) It would be great to see these improvements in future versions. Thank you for considering.
He desinstalado y he vuelto a reinstalar la apliación varias veces y siempre tengo el mismo resultado. Donde tendria que estar, no aparece el icono de nube, siendo imposible iniciar la sincronizacion. Adjunto pantallazo. Gracias.Juan P.
Please can we have an option to add a stroke border in the Lightroom Classic develop panel . It is time consuming to have to either go to print module or move the image to Photoshop to add it .
Vielen Dank!Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 macOS Sonoma 14.7.1 I know I'm a dot release behind. I hinted at this bug in one of my other threads but I have a very obvious repeat. Lightroom Classic sometimes does not download all the photos from a camera. In this case R5. 3 days of shooting. Typically under 5500 images per day. First two days, I'm pretty sure (but now not convinced) Lightroom downloaded everything. (I"m hoping so because I erased the card after each day). On the 3rd day, only 1400 images downloaded out of almost 6000 images. Because the magnitude was so different, I noticed. But could have imagined a scenario where I felt confident and repeated the erase process given the apparent success of Day 1 and Day 2. Lucky there was no Day 4. I may not have noticed. Bottom line is that there is a subtle irregular bug where Lightroom Classic concludes the download process without showing a failure message that says you started downloading
Do you guys think you can make the x-button to close out the tethered capture smaller?
Since the last update, Lightroom classic is using all my memory all of the time even when idle. Even when that is the only thing open, it almost freezes my system. I can't get anything done in Lightroom, Please help!! I am on Windows 10 pro, 16GB of Ram, Core I7 with 4 cores, 8 logical processors. It worked fine in the past. What has changed? It seems to be a bug where it is hung-up on something, or stuck in some processing loop and costantly flickers and feezes for several seconds over and over. I have deleted lightroom all off the preferences, twice. When I reinstall and restore my last backup, the probems remain. My computer and all drivers are up to date. I have ruled out any GPU or video card issues. Any suggestions?
I have searched these forums yet I have not found a solution to this issue. There are similar ones but not this one. I am running a MacBook Pro M3 with 36gb of ram, 500gb internal SSD with 300gb of free space and a 4tb external SSD. The OS is Sequoia 15.1 and Lightroom Classic 14.1. The LRC catalog is on the internal SSD. I am having a memory leak in Lightroom Classic ONLY when it is syncing. If I pause syncing I can use Lightroom for days however, once I restart syncing, I can watch the memory usage climb over a 15 minute time period until Lightroom freezes, the swap file and ram are maxed out and the MacOS banner pops up to force close Lightroom. I have followed the procedure to remove and reinstall Lightroom twice, (the one that requires restarting the Mac after every step), but it did not help. I’ve tried with a new catalog and I even removed every image from the sync list to see if that would help. Nothing stops the memory leak during syncing.
