Hi all, I wanted to share my frustration with Lightroom Classic because I’ve been having a really tough time since Version 13. It’s been super slow for months now, and it’s making it hard to use for my photography work. I have 64GB of RAM on my Apple Silicon device, and it used to run like a dream. But since upgrading to Version 13, it takes forever to import photos, adjust sliders, and render previews. The lag is really frustrating and is messing with my deadlines. The new version 14 is only worse. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix it, but nothing has worked. It’s disappointing that this has been going on for so long. If anyone else is dealing with this or has any ideas, I’d love to hear from you! I really hope Adobe is aware of the issue and is working on a fix (we know they wont). For subscription charges they're fast tough. Thanks for your time! Best,Daniel

Looking to update my Export plugin to include a Content Credentials section in the export dialog but the SDK referenced shows no mention of what the entry in exportServiceProvider.showSections would be. Anyone know?

Starting with Lightroom Classic 13.5, Panel End Marks will disappear if the side panels are very long. This issue did not occur with 13.4 and earlier. OS version: macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 Hardware: 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Max processor Steps to reproduce: Enable Panel End Marks from Preferences > Interface. In any module (Library, Develop, etc.), right-click on any panel and select Collapse All. Note that the Panel End Marks do appear. Expand panels until the panel is sufficiently long and requires a notable amount of scrolling to see the bottom. Note that the Panel End Marks no longer appear, and an empty space appears instead.

Hi,I have a question regarding HDR editing and export in the newest update to Lightroom.I've been testing it since yesterday, and in general, it works great—as long as I'm working on HDR displays and also viewing the exported files on an HDR display (e.g., on an iPhone or the internal HDR display on my MacBook). However, I've noticed that exported AVIF or JPG XL files are heavily clipped when displayed on a non-HDR display, such as the Apple Studio display.This behavior is different compared to HDR pictures created by the iPhone camera. Those show extended highlights when displayed on an HDR display but also exhibit nice tone mapping when displayed on a non-HDR display.I even tested it with Lightroom: I imported an HDR HEIF made on an iPhone into Lightroom, and Lightroom displayed it nicely in HDR during editing. I then exported it back to Apple Photos as an HDR AVIF. On the iPhone and MacBook HDR displays, the original and exported files looked essentially the same. However, when I mo

I am trying to merge 4 HDR photos at a time in a series of 16 so that I can then merge to Panoramic.  The photos were taken with bracketing on automatically in my Canon camera.  They are the same focal length and f-stop.  I get an error message "Unable to merge photos.  Please cancel and review your selection. " I have tried it with auto-align unchecked and auto settings unchecked but nothing is working. Any ideas of what is happening and how I can resolve the issue?

Strange behaviour in the latest release of LR Classic 13.3 (Win). I've imported a shoot and used the embedded previews as I always do.   As I move through the filmstrip in develop every time I click on an image that still has the embedded preview icon showing LR is adding a new White Balance - As Shot to the history for the image. If I undo this step so the history is empty switch to another image and then back again LR doesn't add the WB setting again.   It seems it only happens to images using the embedded preview the first time they are opened in Develop.It's very annoying as I can no longer use the unedited filter to see if there's any images in my final selection that haven't been edited.  

Just updated to LRC 14.0 and while testing Apple DNG denoise noticed it adds new objects to my Subject mask (after/because AI mask update?). In any case, this is an issue.First photo is the original mask, yellow marks in the second photo - "new" parts of that mask. What's going on?  

I have the problem that older photos in a library are only displayed in the library and not in development mode. In the library the latest version is displayed perfectly, in developer mode I only see a small black pixel! How can I fix this?

Hallo, Ich habe das Foto-Abo (20 GB) schon seit langem und immer mit PrePaid-Codes um ein Jahr verlängert. Ich hatte das Abo im letzten Jahr gekündigt, aufgrund meines Guthabens wird die Kündigung aber erst zum 21.02.25 aktiv. Ich habe jetzt keinen Button gefunden, die Kündigung rückgängig zu machen und nun einen neuen Gutscheincode eingegeben, um das Abo wiederum um ein Jahr zu verlängern (also dann bis 21.02.26), weil ich es doch aufrecht erhalten will. Der Code wurde akzeptiert, aber leider wurde unter meinem Account nun  ein zweites Foto-Abo (20 GB) eröffnet, das dann bis 24.03.25 geht, parallel dazu dann das alte Abo bis 21.02.25. Meine Frage: Können die beiden Abos zusammengelegt werden, so dass ab Februar 2025 mit dem neuen Code ein Jahr verlängert wird?! Bzw. an wen muss ich mich da wenden? Gruß Stefan  

My lightroom on my laptop is very slow the last 1 or 2 weeks. I have no idea whats causing this problem. Maybe its lightroom, my laptop or my external disk. But takes me 2 hours to edit 10 photos or so and it crashhes also sometimes. It also says that some of my photo's are missing or missing information while they are on my external disk.

When closing LRC, I get "photos still syncing" message, even though the sync will never complete "next time."  This kind of hangup has happened before, but I don't remember how to fix it.   Do I need to find the photo in question and either delete or rename it?  How would I do that, please? Or is there a better solution?(Windows laptop running latest version of LRC.)

I recently upgraded Lightroom Classic to version 14.0, and a dialogue box informed me that my current catalog needed to be converted to the new release.  In the past, this process was completed without any issue, but this time when the operation was complete, ALL MY EXISTING FOLDER STRUCTURE WAS REMOVED AND IMAGES WERE ONLY LISTED BY CREATION DATE.  In addition, if I select a date and attempt to rename the catalog, a pop-up indicates that the folder could not be renamed or moved.   There are 19,650 images in this catalog. I have projects that I have to deliver, and I cannot locate anything because my previous organization is gone. Why? I have attached a screenshot showing the conversion results.   

Hi everyone,First of all, let me explain my setup: I’m using original and updated Windows 11, Adobe Creative Suite, with a 10th-gen i9 processor, 128GB DDR4 RAM at the maximum supported speed, a 4060ti graphics card, and an Asus ProArt 27" 4K AdobeRGB monitor. I’ve already set the monitor’s color profile on Windows correctly, using a Spyder 5 Pro calibrator. I also tried using an uncalibrated profile downloaded directly from the ASUS website, but it didn’t make a difference. So, I’m ruling out any issues with the profile or general configuration.The problem is: when I import photos into Lightroom and start making adjustments, everything seems fine, and the colors are correct. However, when I export the images in sRGB, the colors appear altered—mainly becoming more vivid and saturated—and the difference is quite noticeable. I am using Lightroom Classic 13.5.1 on a Macbook Pro with an M2 chip, Running Sequoia 15.0.  The app is using a ridiculous amount of memory, 55+GB causing a recurring error message, "your system has run out of application memory" even when all other apps are shut down.  Everything else in my activity monitor is in the MB range.  I have deleted all files that were causing sync errors and have repeatedly shut down and restarted both the app and the computer with no success. The only thing that I have not done is delete sync error files permanently.  They are still in the deleted folder in LR online.  Hoping you can help resolve this issue.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I use the filmstrip when I am copying and pasting the same changes to a lot of photos and use the filmstrip to check what I have done.  Sadly a few updates ago, some of the filmstrip images now show completely different colours/settings to the edited photo.  Often the filmstrip changes colours'settings when I click on the main photo, and sometimes it doesn't. This does not happen for all photos just a lot of them. It's really annoying.   Is it something I am doing or a bug?  I keep LR Classic updated to the latest version.   This never used to be a problem but started a few updates ago,.    I am attempting to build a timelapse sequence from a night shoot.  The images were all take at the same settings and although the aurora changes it's not enough to throw out the settings.   TYIA

Despues de editar, eliminar algunas cosas ya sea usando IA o no, y lo aplicado en mascaras, ya quedando la foto finalizada, al exportar me encuentro que esas modificaciones no las a exportado. y al editar de nuevo me aparece al opcion de actualizar todo, actualizo y al exportar, de nuevo pierde esas modificaciones. Alguna ayuda sobre esto?

Hi, When I use a mask since the update I have to regenerate it every time I copy or re-view it. Is there a problem with my installation or is this a general problem? Same with delete generate

I am using Lightroom Classic 10.3I did right click on Edit In and all the tool in the sub-menu are grayed out.Anyone help me? I am very appreaciate it I was able to edit before. Thanks 

I've searched the internet along with Adobe's forums; I'm curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue.   Over the past 2 weeks, my computer has been crashing primarily when I am using LR Classic (I receive a blue screen). I am using an Alienware Aurora 16. After updating the BIOS and still receiving the error, I reached out to Dell. They sent a tech out to replace the Intel processor (13th and 14th gen were known to be faulty). Things were going great until I used LR again and, in particular, some of the LR profiles downloaded from a company called Archetype Process.   I can't say for certain that LR is the culprit or simply a coincidence.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I have approx 36K photos which are all in Lightroom classic on a local drive and synced via a collection into the cloud & lightroom mobile. My workflow is mainly importing directly in LR classic , but as well shooting on the mobile or import into mobile.After sync back to lightroom classic I “move” the files inside lightroom from the syc to mobile folder into a folder on the local disk and as well delete the photos in “synced photos” to remove the original from the cloud. After that I sync the collection to have a access to the file via cloud. with this workflow (have all originals local , and sync all photos into the cloud) I wonder why I have these 2 very big  files: bhirsch LR 11-v13-3 Sync.lrdata with 10GB  (should be my cloud sync file for the 36K photos ? )Mobile Downloads.lrdata with 5GB ( should be the file for all originals from the cloud) But as I move all files imported via could after showing up in LR classic to a local folder .. why i

When I open in LrC the menu point "Photo" - "Edit in Adobe Photoshop 24" the Photoshop will start and opens the file. However I cannot edit in PS the file, everything is blocked and I cannot choose any tools. The picture is distorted (see attachment) But everything works perfectly when I open Photoshop BEFORE opening LrC.Has anybody an idea how I can eliminate this "annoing" behaviour? Hello, Lightroom Classic is running extremely slow after updating to the latest version on windows 10. The problem started after the 13.0 update and is still remaining after the 13.01 update. Scrolling images in Grid-view in Library is not a big issue but if you click on an image it takes about 6 minutes for the caption data to show up and instead of showing the keywords for that image it says "working...". At the same time the labels (with info like filename, file format) in the expanded cells are gone. Another problem is importing images which takes hours instead of minutes.   Is there anyone else having these issues and have any idea what to do? The graphics drivers are updated, I have purged the caches and optimized the catalog. Everything was working fine before the 13.0 update.   /Erik Svensson
