Using LrC on macos (latest versions). 3/3 times now, while I'm editing a photo, my edit session exits without warning while I'm adjusting one of the effects settings such as clarity or dehaze on a linear mask I applied. I noticed that when this happens, the little sync status cloud in upper right tells me its syncing a few files (< 5). When issue occurs a different number of files are syncing.I very much doubt its the file I'm editing, but hard to know since LrC no longer tells me which file(s) are syncing after the recent update. Even if it was syncing the file I'm editing, the sync should not rip away my edit work without warning or explanation.I attached a video showing me editing a photo, then all of a sudden "poof" the image goes away. When I reopen the image, the changes I was making in the first part of the video are gone.
Hello, how can i change to a small font if i can't see the reset button, because I had just changed the size to a larger one? Thank you!
I am new to Lightroom Classic. I created a catalog with 600 pictures from my iphone. I divided them into several collections based on the date they were taken. I also want to add pictures from another iphone and also from a camera. What is the best or easiest way to do that? Will these pictures be combined with the original 600 or put into separate catalogs or collections? Will these additional photos be easy to find or locate?
I've spent a very frustrating couple of hours trying to tether this camera into LRC. YES, I downloaded and installed the required plug-in for the GFX cameras and I am running the latest version of LRC. The Fuji GFX cameras are on on Adobe's list of compatible cameras. As far as I have gotten is getting LRC to finally recognize the camera when the tethering panel is launched. But there is no live view from the camera in LRC and the capture button does nothing. ???
1. Create 2 desktop spaces on macOS.2. Open Lightroom in the first space.3. Open Mission Control (press F3).4. Drag Lightroom window to the second space.5. Switch to the Lightroom on the second space.Should be: Lightroom must remain on the screen.Actual result: Lightroom changes desktop space automatically to the first one without Lightroom in it. Can't use Lightroom anymore.
I need to process a photo for an exhibition I shot last April. I wanted to go back to the original file, so I tried to open the catalog it would be on, got a "corrupt" and "repairing" notification, and then it failed due to an error. I tried the backup—the same thing. I then tried multiple catalogs from the same time period dating back to 2019. The same thing happened to them all. This doesn't destroy me, but it will cost me time. It is very discouraging.
I have updated the newest version of Lightroom Classic, but as you can see on the screenshot right there is no "Generative Remove" in the Remove-Panel. I also de-installed and re-installed LrC. What can I do? Thank you!
I'm super happy that Adobe is dedicating so much effort to improving Artificial Intelligence and other resources to try to keep up with technological innovations. But, there's one question that they could focus on a little more: Is there ANY chance, even if it's tiny, of fixing the COUNTLESS bugs that exist in Lightroom or would it be easier for me to buy a computer 100% dedicated to the whims of Adobe and Lightroom Classic? Seriously, I've been facing problems for months like: computer shutting down (the infamous blue screen), software crashing, clicks being ignored, backups not being performed and others. I've already had to format the computer a few times, buy new parts (always believing that the problem was in the computer itself) and I've already made Lightroom a high priority. Is a computer with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 4 GB GeForce not enough for this "lovely" software? What do I need to buy to make Adobe's life easier, a computer w
Any idea why moving a zoomed image with the grabber hand would all of a sudden stop working in CC to move an image horizontally? It will move up/down, but not right/left/right. I noticed it first with the latest update, but even after re-installing the previous version it's still not working.
On Tuesday I was using LRC v13.5 with no problems. On Wednesday I installed v13.5.1 and ever since then I have had intermittent moments when the screen flashes briefly a couple of times without me touching anything. I am using a dual monitor setup and twice when this happened the main display and the secondary monitor display of LRC switched monitors. I am using a MacBook Pro 2023, Apple M3 Max chip, 36 GB memory, Sonoma 14.6.1. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Hi! My Lightroom Classic doesn't open anymore. I struggled the last couple of times when I wanted to use it as well ... deinstalled it, reinstalled it and that several times again (on both my work and my home PC). My colleage tried it with her PC as well, but said to me she can't work with this programme because it doesn't work ... And today it doesn't open again ... I de + rereinstalled it again ... when deinstalling it, it first didn't let me, because there was a message, which said that I should close all open files (altough I didn't have any open ... for quite a long time). With the task manager I finally could close it and then managed to deinstall it. But now it still doesn't open. It was completely new installed ... I am not sure whether Adobe wants the people to use Lightroom instead of Lightroom Classic and that's the reason, why it doesn't even open ... However can anyone help me? I really urgently need a programme where I can add watermarks to
I have been using Lightroom 5 on an iMac with no problems. I recently upgraded to a Mac Mini and I tried to reload Lightroom 5 from the DVD using a SuperDrive. The installation seemed to go OK, but it never asked for my licensing code. When I open Lightroom 5, the LR welcome screen comes on for a few seconds, then disappears and a very long trouble report is created. Any workarounds? I don't want to pay $10/month for a program I rarely use.
I've just yesterday subscribed to Adobe after many years of avoiding it. Lightroom Classic quits on launch on my 2023 M2 Mac Mini. I've tried a few things like this: Reset Procedure:1. Close Lightroom.2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.4. Close Lightroom.5. Restart Lightroom.Clean Lightroom Install ProcedureClose LightroomRestart the computerUse the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall LightroomRestart the computerInstall Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.Restart the computerLaunch LightroomWait 5 minutes I also tried to follow some instructions on disk access permissions - not sure if that worked. I'm not sure what to try now. I'm using the latest versions of the OS and the application.
[Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for any problem with software!]
Hi Everyone, I use Lightroom Classic, latest iteration, on my Mac computer. For some time I've been having an annoying problem with Keyword sets. I've set up a number of these. On occasion I want to add a keyword to an existing set, so I follow the normal procedure (which has worked in the past). That is, I go to 'edit set', I enter the new keyword (one from my existing general list), then I click 'Change'. The new keyword appears in the set, and it will work for the rest of my Lightroom session. Whenever I next open Lightroom, that new keyword will have disappeared from the Keyword set. This has happened many, many times now, and it's extremely annoying. I cannot for the life of me see what if anything I'm doing wrong. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, have you fixed it? Thank you in advance to anyone who can help. Nick.
I have 1 keyword that is followed by a + (plus sign). What does this indicate?
I began having stability issues with LRc 13.5 and more with 13.5.1My motherboard is an ASUS ProArt B660 creator-D4 and I run an Intel i5-13600K processor plus an ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC edition 16GB GDDR6 (which has an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti). After updating BIOS from ASUS and latest creative driver from NVIDIA I still had issues. I ran the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool 64bit and it returned a fail at the 'Prime number' test.Don't ask me what it all means but the solution they suggest is resetting the BIOS to the default settings. The BIOS on my PC during me building it based on advice was to enable XMP and Intel driven performance enhancments. (XMP meant my 4 x 16GB DDR4 RAM would run at the 3600MHz rating instead of the BIOS default of 2133 MHz) After restoring the BIOS to factory defaults and keeping the RAM at the default 2133 MHz my system appears stable and I haven't suffered from a LRc induced freeze or windows blue screen. I only had stibility
Lightroom Classic 13.2Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2Build 19045.4046Every time I click to make a mask (K, M, etc) the normal module opens up in the top right, the second I click however it deletes the new mask and any other masks that already exist (which can be added to the picture only via presets). This also begins the "Detecting People ..." dialogue again. To add insult to injury, returning Lightroom to either of the most recent previous versions results in an "assertion failed" error which does not resolve by following the instructions outlined on the adobe help post about the error.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Repetitive task and automation question for Lightroom classic. i have the following repetitive task. 1) import files2) stack by capture time3) hdr merge 4) apply preset5) adjust exposure level 6) small adjustments 7) export is any part of this able to be automated?
Hi! 🙂Banding caused by LED light during concerts is a big problem in the concert industry. A fix would be much appreciated!Millions of concert photographers suffers from this kind of banding, even if their cameras have anti-banding. Would be great for the music community if Lightroom could overcome this problem.Best regards,Klaus
Hello,I need to set the same color to an object in different photos. How can I copy and paste Point color reference between masks in different photos? If it cannot be done with Point color can this be done another way in LrC?It would be very helpful to have the RGB numbers in Point color.RegardsFabio
I have a small problem. In lightroom classic MetaData I enable the Creator field and type my name. I want any pictures I provide to my company to be tagged. However, when I look at the metadata on the file, it says Content Creator: Created by Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic 13.5 (Macintosh). I don't see a Creator field when I look at file properties. So I am not sure how I can get my name tagged on my pictures. Can anyone help me to understand how to do it properly in Lightroom Classic?
Hello! My Lightroom catalog is a hot mess, and I'm hoping someone can guide me through fixing it. I've used Lightroom for many years, and my catalog holds over 45,000 raw photo files. I used to switch between editing on two different Macs, so I used this Dropbox storage method successfully for years—https://medium.com/t-brian-jones-fine-art-photography/using-lightroom-cc-classic-with-dropbox-for-a-great-cloud-experience-a428bd0f7bdd Now, my library is a disaster. I need to fix it and then transfer it all to my new MacBook Pro, which will be my only computer moving forward. If I must use an external hard drive rather than Dropbox for storage, so be it. In my Lightroom, I can access 7,615 synced photographs just fine. However, older photos (the bulk of my library) all appear gray with an exclamation point in the corner. When I click on the exclamation point, I receive the following warning: Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo. You will not be
For speed it would be nice to have the option to just select the jpeg to import to Lightroom when tethering. The Raw would still be saved on my sd card , which could be used later if necessary for processing. At the moment you can either import the Raw or the Raw and the Jpeg, why not Jpeg only ?
