Lightroom Classic

Having searched the forums I realise this has been asked before  and always seems to have been solved by the shortcut 'shift-F'. Unfortunately this doesn't work for me. When I point my mouse at the top bar the minimise buttons appear for about half a second but then disappear before I can click them. Is this a bug? It's really disrupting my workflow. Any answers gratefully received.

I want to make sure this is filed as a complaint. What's the point in investing in L series lenses and full frame cameras when LR is cropping the frame upon import? I am absolutely agast that what you see in your camera is not what you get when you import to Lightroom. This default should NOT exist. 

Two questions and a gripe:1) What is the purpose of the "Done" button on the Import dialog?2) Has it always existed or is it a new addition?After getting everything set to import (keywords added, etc), I keep accidentally clicking the "Done" button, which might as well be "Cancel" because the effect is that absolutely nothing happens (except wasting my time because now I have to start completely over and this time watch for the "Import" button).I swear it hasn't always been this way.  Am I right?  Is the "Done" button a new addition? Because I've been using Lightroom since v1.0 was released and I don't ever remember having this problem, only recently have I started accidentally hitting the "Done" button. That's what makes me think it is new.  And if it truly is as useless as it seems ... why not get rid of it?  There is already a "Cancel" button, we don't need two buttons that both effectively cancel the import process.

When I travel, I import and edit on Lightroom Classic on my laptop. Images are RAW, edited and then saved to a subfolder of the original date folder, as jpg's.When I return home, I export the applicable date folders as a catalog, (including the jpg subfolders) and then import to my desktop. The issue is that when I import the catalog, the jpg's and RAW images are grouped together in the date folder and the jpg's do not appear in the jpg subfolder.Is there a solution?

Build 202408271704-d15d09cd works fine. Any later versions of LR Classic crash shortly after starting, on all catalogs (including a brand new one).  Parts of the screen freeze, go white, then the whole app crashes. A complete uninstall/reinstall doesn't allow the new version to work.  Rolling back to the previous versions work just fine. M1 Mac, Sonoma 14.6.1.  Again the previous release works fine, but I'm unable to upgrade.  Sent the report multiple times, but the september release didn't fix it.

 Halloseit kurzem werden bei mir im Filmstreifen nicht mehr die Bewertungssterne angezeigt, sondern nur noch oben im einzelnen Bild. Wie kann dies wieder angezeigt werden, das entsprechende Häkchen habe ich gesetzt, es funktioniert auch nach einem Neustart nicht, auch nicht nach dem Setzen des Häkchens in den Voreinstellungen.   

With latest Lightroom updates I noticed that old logic for applying B&W mode didnt work anymore. But I heard that is possible to do via photo:applyDevelopSettings(). @C.Cella can you please help with this? Some snippet would be really helpfull. 

For over a decade this bug has existed... In Lightroom, select a large TIFF > edit in > edit in Photoshop  Lightroom just sits there "Saving Metadata" Any chance this can be fixed after a decade+?  

I am unable to get Lightroom Classic to launch. I do not get an error message it just won't open. I did have a problem in the middle of last month where I had to have the catalog repaired and it worked fine. Now when I try to launch it won't open. I went and deleted locked files I saw per other posts I read. It still won't launch. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't launch. I don't know what to do anymore.

After I edit and export my images from Lightroom 5, they look fine on my computer folder. However, when I upload them online to PASS (online gallery) or social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, they are warmer, more saturated. I've noticed this the last 6 months. What could be the cause of this? I am using the Srgb colorspace. My monitor is calibrated. I am using windows 10 pro, Ge force gtx 960. I used fastStone and they lookperfect. But I beleive the change happens when they are uploaded online.

I'm working on removing 4 simple geometric objects from 4 corners of a photo. 3 removed fine, filled with square, high contrast floor tiles. The fourth failed, with the message "Generative AI failed - Please review our guidelines and try again. I looked through guidelines, and couldn't figure anything. The selection is nice and clean, just like the other 3, then I wondered about content. The photo is of an adult woman (paid model) in a fairly conservative bikini, all relevant parts covered. Could the AI actually be plugging into an algorithm that looks at the rest of her bare flesh, and deciding it's not appropriate? If so, have we really come to the point where Adobe is censoring our use of their product based on content. I've used the generative AI feature quite a few times with no problem. I successfully selected and removed 3 other areas from this photo.  This selection was nothing complicated. If it's not some sort of content algorithm (photo is PG-rated, not even R) the

Ich kann Lightroom Classic nicht mehr auf meinem neuen Microsoft Surface installieren, weiß jemand Rat?

So apparently a catalog that has been upgraded to LR Classic CC will not work in any older version of LR.Therefore sharing catalogs from here on out that I've edited for others will no longer work if they haven't upgraded yet?  If that's true, that's a disappointment.  If there is a way for a newer catalog to be compatible in an older LR, please let me know how to make it work.Thank you.

When I look at the picture in the finder, it's normal (see also the import page screenshot from Lightroom). But when I start importing, a lot of the pictures becomes damaged (second screenshot). With this post, I include the XMP file (created by importing).I already tried to remove the complete folder and re-import, but that's no difference.Second time, I removed the folder, restarted my computer and tried again ... no difference.All updates are done, before never had any problems. Any idea what I can do ?

Hi there,for the past half a year or so, I have been experiencing abnormal high RAM usage, most likely a memory leak of some sort. Issue: - Lightroom Classic Version Number: 13.2- OS Version Number: Sonoma 14.4.1
Steps to reproduce:1. start editing photos, do some basic edits (only exposure, hightlights and shadows, crops) around 100 files (in this case Canon EOS R7 CR3, but happens with all RAW files I have)2. memory usage climbs quickly from 5GB to 15GB, computer starts to swap and slow downs occur scrolling through the development tab timeline3. export around 100 files to JPG, memory usage climbs to 42GB (!) Expected result: much less RAM being used! 
 Actual result: Memory usage keeps going up and up... 24GB should be plenty for LrC. No other programs are running in the background! Also happened on my Intel iMac 2020 with 64GB RAM. Here RAM usage climbs to even further heights... 150GB (!)

Bonjour à tous, je pose ce message ici car je suis à court d'idée et de solution. Depuis quelques semaines, LRC rencontre des bugs de plus en plus étranges et fréquents, le rendant inutilisable au bout d'une minute ou deux. Je passe mon temps à le fermer et le rouvrir pour travailler. Outre les freeze et les crash multiples au moindre petit paramètre de règlage (je ne peux même plus envisager l'utilisation de l'IA ou simplement de la sélection), il génère aussi des bug d'interface très aléatoires, comme sur la photo jointe. C'est parfois pire que cela en rendu, ou parfois quelques petits points de couleur.   J'ai tenté pas mal de solutions, augmenter ma ram (de 16 à 32), désinstallation totale de toute la suite abode pour repartir sur un LRC et un catalogues vierges, le changer de disque dur, maj du pilote graphique, analyse du système. Rien n'y fait et je ne sais plus quoi tenter.Photoshop n'a aucun problème de son côté et ronronne normalement.   Je suis sur pc fixe Process

How do we get the recommended presets working on Lightroom classic for desktop? I heard this is only available for Lightroom, but I don't know anybody who uses that particular version. Please make them available for both versions.

How can I install Lightroom on Windows 7?

For some reason, I cannot get my photos to open in Photoshop from Lightroom Classic.  Using the keyboard shortcut doesn't work, clicking on Photo>Edit In doesn't work and right-clicking the photo and selecting edit in Photoshop also does not work.  Things I've tried:- Uninstalling Photoshop- Uninstalling Photoshop and Lightroom while keeping preferences- Uninstalling Photoshop and Lightroom NOT keeping preferences I've installed Photoshop first after reading that it was important to do so but it is STILL not working.  I'm at a loss, please send help. Stacey

I little while back (maybe a month) I upgraded past Lightroom Classic V 13.1.  This was the upgrade that required a catalog upgrade.    Once that happened, I've experienced slowdowns in Lightroom Classic that has rendered the software unusable, and I have lost weeks of work.   I will outline the issues and then the versions. Macbook Pro M1 MaxOS Ventura 13.6.?64 gigs ram4tb ssd1tb plus available space on ssdmax ram usage 35g for LR w/ plenty of free ramPlease note, I did restarts, reinstalls of software, etc along the way. The problem arose when:Upgraded from LR 13.1 to 13.3catalog upgrade requiredNavigating photos became useless (3-5 seconds between photos)Edits became very slow (3-5 seconds for UI to respond)Flagging and rating photos became completely useless (10+ seconds to show up)Moving photos between collections became useless (more than 10 seconds) Upgraded from LR 13.1 to 13.5used upgraded catalogOnly minor improvments  Upgrade

Hallo, eventuell kan mir jemand weiterhelfen, ich bin gerade dabei meine Bilder in Lightroom zu organisieren, dabei ist mir aufgefallen das nach dem Importieren aller Bilder auf meiner Platte Wahllos Bilder fehlen, auf der Festplatte sind sie vorhanden, im Lightroom "light" finde ich sie auch. Wenn ich die Bilder dann manuell importieren möchte im Importfenster sind diese nicht auswehlbar werden aber angezeigt und import button ist gesperrt. Im Screenshot sieht man was ich meine, der RAW Ordner ist leer aber auf der Festplatte sind Daten vorhanden. Jemand eine Idee? MFG

I'm using Lightroom Classic 12.3, and having an issue with Syncinc.  In the top right the little icon is blue and it says it's syncing my photos, however there's nothing to show the actual progress - and if I open Sync Settings, the Sync activity shows 0 Uploading, 0 Pending, 0 Downloading.   Any ideas what might be happening here? I've already rebuilt the sync data. Checking my mobile devices, it looks like the images on my laptop aren't syncing, but checking my laptop it appears that my mobile phone images are syncing.
