I have serious problems with Lightroom, I can't edit, I can't even upload photos properly and the program crashes.
Hello!I’m currently with the latest Lightroom Classic, and a gallery with a ton of photos to cull and edit. I have two monitors. On my main monitor, I do the edits and see the photo full screen. On the left monitor, I browse the grid view, select, reject and set my filters to sort the photos. Now, I like to use some keyboard shorcuts, not many, but the main ones are the arrow keys to cycle through my photos. Sometimes, tough, they do not move through the photos.I found a simple workaround but this seems a bug of some sort.I pick the Windows task bar, and move back to Lightroom window. And the arrow keys are working again. After a while, maybe with some edits, or alt-tab, I still don’t know what triggers it not to work, they stop working. So I go back again to Windows task bar, and make Lightroom Classic active again.Altough this little workaround works, I would like to know if this is a known bug. I found other threads with similar issues, but they were very old and closed for answers (
I’d like to request a master catalog feature in Lightroom Classic that lets users browse thumbnails from multiple catalogs in one unified view without fully merging them. Why this mattersMany photographers organize work into separate catalogs for practical reasons such as client jobs, years, shoots, or business divisions. That structure is useful for performance and organization, but it creates a major drawback: there is no fast, visual way to search or compare images across catalogs. Right now, if I want to find a photo, locate similar shots, or review older work, I have to open catalogs one at a time, which is slow and inefficient. What I’m asking forA master catalog or global browser that can: Display thumbnails from multiple catalogs in one place. Search across catalogs by filename, keyword, rating, date, and other metadata. Let users filter by catalog, project, client, or folder source. Open the source catalog when a photo is selected for editing. Optionally sync or referenc
Request: Allow Queueing/Batching for Generative Remove to Prevent Workflow InterruptionThe Problem: Currently, using the Generative Remove tool requires a strict "one-by-one" workflow. After painting a mask, navigating away to another image before clicking "Generate" discards the mask. This means I am forced to click Generate and sit waiting for the AI to process before I can move on to the next image.Because the generation process takes time, my entire editing momentum is derailed. The majority of my editing time is now spent waiting on progress bars rather than actually editing. The Solution / Proposed Feature: I would like to request the ability to paint Generative Remove masks on an image and navigate away without losing them, allowing Lightroom to cache or "hold" the pending mask. This change would unlock two massive workflow improvements: Asynchronous Editing: I could paint a mask, move immediately to the next photo to keep editing, and let the background generation happen without
I want to preface this by saying that Lightroom ran almost flawlessly before this update (v15.3). Windows 11. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-Core Processor with over 24GB of available memory. There’s no reason for this. Literally what’s not an issue with this update? So far I’m seeing:can’t apply certain mask presets (whiten teeth, sharpen subject, etc) can’t denoise way slower than usual (like slows my entire computer down) constant freezing tried turning off GPU support after someone recommended that after a previous update and it made it completely unusable selected multiple files for exporting and only 1/3 actually exported sometimes just refuses to export at all sometimes says inadequate disc space when there is more than enough can’t open anything else while LR is open optimizing catalog now and it’s totally frozen had to hard reset my pc because not even task manager would come upI’m about to attempt uninstalling and reinstalling. If that doesn’t work, I’m probably going to sw
Brushing over an object to be removed is not always accurate. The Rectangle Select for objects in masking works really well. Would it be possible to add this means of selection to the Remove Tool? Thanks
Im getting “unexpected error occurred while processing” when trying to sync a background mask to multiple canon raw .CR2 files from an EOS 5D MkIV, Nikon .NEF files seem unaffected by the issue. The “Previous” button also has the issue with the canon files. Hi, It's a simple request and an enigma, why it hasn't been done yet. When Syncing a settings of a photo, which has been automatically straightened, just recompute the angle for every synced picture. Make it selectable / deselectable in the sync menu. Greeting Eckhard
LRC becomes very slow, unresponsive, and laggy shortly after launching. This problem was discussed on the previous forum extensively, where many users from Mac and Windows platforms reported it. Apparently, there were several different causes for the problem, as some users were able to fix it by following diverse suggestions, which did not work for other users. I am one of the unlucky users who tried all suggested fixes and could not solve the problem or find its cause. Unfortunately, a couple of the threads were marked as Resolved (or Answered) and the discussions stopped. I have been trying every new version of LRC as they become available, but in my case the problem persists and actually becomes worse with versions 15.2 or the previous one, 15.1.1. So, I am back to version 15.1, which at least lets me work for about 30 minutes before the program becomes essentially unresponsive. My question is, will this problem ever be fixed by Adobe?
Please add an option to disable the on-screen Undo/Redo notifications that appear when using Undo (Cmd/Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z) in Lightroom Classic. This has been requested by many Lightroom users for years across Adobe forums and community discussions, yet there is still no way to disable these notifications. For many advanced users, Undo and Redo are not only used to correct mistakes but also as a very fast visual A/B comparison tool between two editing states. This allows us to evaluate subtle changes while keeping our eyes focused entirely on the image.Currently, every Undo or Redo action displays a large black notification overlay showing the name of the adjustment that was reverted or restored. This overlay partially covers the image and makes it difficult to accurately judge contrast, color, local adjustments, noise reduction, sharpening, masking, and other fine details. The issue becomes even more noticeable when working in Full Screen mode or with Lights Out enabled,
I just cannot open it. I get the spinning wheel when I click to open, but the wheel disappears & never opens.
Hello everyoneI clicked something, and now LRC is stuck in an unfamiliar screen. How do I get out of this????Thank you for your patience and help!John
In the latest versuion, the cenral window indicating estimated time is gone, this is an important feature for busy profesionnal photographers, who need proper centralized task manager, now, the only indication left is that vague user unfriendly bar at the top. This doesn’t work, the estimated time allow us to plan work but also free time, if the estimated time is 30 min, we can go cook, take a shower, run to the post office whatsoever we need to do in between.. Thanks
Please Adobe - make such an option. To just completely disable this absolutely useless for most feature. I want LRC to never show these white areas, at all. I am an architectute photograph, i sometimes have a thousand pics a day to run through LRC and a lot of them Auto align with white parts all over. I know a can make a preset for this to be on, but so much simpler just to disable this. Thanks!
I find the sky selection mask one I use frequently but it fails to select accurately around complex areas such as foliage, especially where the sky is not one continuous body i.e. separate sections may appear through gaps. There are complex work-rounds such as selecting everything but the sky and inverting but this seems a waste of time. I am aware of the updates to ACR including Mask feathering and Edge Control which are a welcome help but these wont help in cases where the sky is divided. Can the underlying AI model be updated to improve the basic sky selection please. Thanks
Hey everyone! First time posting so be kind ;) Been using LR for over a decade with no issues on an 11yo gen 3 i7. Perfect, never a problem Fresh new pc build with RTX 5070TI and LrC to move into the Ai world.I can go a week or two perfectly, then I get complete pc shutdown when trying to use AI Noise reduction. Studio Drivers installed. I read that people have issues with this on the threads and stuff. Is it a stability issue with LrC? Do I move to cloud LR? Is it hardware? Is the AI just too new to be stable and this is life? I’ve reinstalled LR, drivers, optimised catalogues, ensured there’s plenty of storage and ram etc. can’t seem to find the problem Open to suggestions, cause my tearing my hair out!
something has corrupted a LRC file I can not delete the corrupt file and I can not open Lightroom because it says it is in use. ???? help please <removed for privacy>
I'm used to working in connected mode directly from Lightroom Classic.I use a Canon 5D Mark IV.I’ve tried all the recommended tests and troubleshooting steps, but nothing works…I do have one theory, though: this issue started after I updated my macOS. I’m now running macOS Tahoe (26.2). That’s the only explanation I can think of…Have you ever seen this happen before?
I have several catalogs. When I close one catalog and try to open another, the one I've selected doesn't open in Windows 11. I have to restart the PC. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Best regards, Thomy
I've searched in vain for a way to open Adobe Camera Raw from within Lightroom on my Nikon NEF RAW files. While I've read that ACR is built into Lightroom, I specifically want to use the new experimental "Distraction Removal->Remove Reflections" feature in ACR on a number of photos that I took out of a bus window in Cairo a few weeks ago. It works fantastically well. While I'm sure this feature will eventually be included in Lightroom, I want to use it now. The only way I've been able to do it is to find the image in Windows Explorer and then choose "Open with Photoshop" , which brings up ACR. In Lightroom, "Edit in Photoshop 2025" doesn't enable the feature (I guess it's sending a TIFF or PSD) and "Open as Smart Object in Photoshop" and then choosing the Camera Raw filter doesn't enable the feature either -- says "wrong file type". Is there a .EXE for ACR that I can choose in Explorer, or add as a second "Edit in..." option in LIghtroom? Or should I just wait for Li
I don’t know if it’s a bug or just something Adobe has to fix, but I am so utterly disappointed in the AI denoising feature in LrC. What’s worse is that I’ve seen it evolve over time. When you first implemented it, it was really inferior to other offerings. Then it actually got good for awhile. But now… it’s like it’s hallucinating and adding the wrong details to images. If I turn it down, it doesn’t even denoise well. As soon as I turn it up, it starts sharpening edges and adding weird swirls in facial hair. It makes my pictures look like an AI generated cartoon. I’ve been forced to go back to DxO Photolab to denoise stuff. Not only that, but DxO can literally denoise a stack of 20 photos in the time it takes LrC to do one. This is just unacceptable. You can do better. Please fix this ASAP.
I worked with smart preview and used super resolution. This left obvious artifacts in form of grid. They do not go away when I have RAW available, I discarded smart preview, and even when I disable and re-enable super resolution for that file. (Without super resolution this grid is gone.)Artifacts are even visible in exports. These artifacts do not appear on very similar photo with same edits, but which was never edited as a smart preview.
It is fantastic there is an option to create your own templates, but not everything is saved unfortunately.
