At some point recently, Adobe changed their purchase pages to no longer show the $9.99/mo 20gb Photography plan on their "choose the plan that's right for you" pages. If you had clicked to see Lightroom Classic plans, the only plan they now show (other than the all applications plan) is the $19.99/mo 1TB Photography plan. And, if you had clicked to see "Lightroom" plans it's the same thing but with the addition of the 1tb $9.99 Lighroom Cloud only plan. In the case of asking to see LrC plans, in order to see the cheaper plan you need to click the "See all Plans and Pricing" text in fine print at the way bottom of the page. In the case of asking about "Lightroom" plans, there are no links that eventually take you to the 20gb $9.99 plan, I suspect most customers, even those who know the difference between LR and LrC, will not know to seek out the cheaper plan. I think this is a very sad th
I am writing to suggest an improvement to the workflow in Lightroom when using the AI-based noise reduction feature. Currently, when Lightroom creates a new DNG file during the noise reduction process, all attributes (such as flags, star ratings, and color labels) applied to the original file are not automatically retained. This forces me to manually reapply these attributes by switching back to the Library module, which disrupts my workflow. It would be highly beneficial if Lightroom could automatically retain these attributes when generating the new DNG file. This would streamline the process and enhance the user experience, particularly for those of us who heavily rely on these attributes for organizing and managing our images. Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I appreciate the continuous improvements you bring to Lightroom. Thanks 🙂
Can anyone help me to get Lightroom Classic started/visible on my laptop (Windows). It worked great fot several years...Now I can't get the program started although I see it is running in the background.....I tried fixing visual++but still: no go
I have seen posts about the windows version, but I am echoing that on the Mac (m1 max) that Lightroom Classic 13.3 has become incredibly, painfully, awfully, terribly slow. Its gotten to the point of being frustratingly unusable. This seems to affect every aspect of using it from applying metadata updates to moving through pictures. Other than downgrading back to the old version (if possible?) has anyone found any other solutions?
PC info Windows 10 Pro 6412GB ram Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Since updating to 13,5 I can't use light room at all, it takes a few minutes to load and once loaded I can't do anything it will eventually stop responsding and I will have to force close it.once I click on any photo in the ribbon in develop it does not change to thast photo stays shoowing the first one in the ribbon - I have reset LR pref. I have rtried GPU on and off. I have updated everything I can all drivers etc. All worked fine on 13.3 I tried to do an auto sync on these 150 or so photos for the lens correctiojn as I always have and it has been frozen sincve now if I wait long enough it just times/crashes out.I really would like to use what I pay Adober for and if not will just go backl to LR 5 on disk this is absurd! the AI sync BS is the cause I justt know it
Since version 13, Lightroom is unusable. Many people have been complaining about this for a long time and I don't see any response from the developers on this subject.I can no longer work properly because the software is so slow, whether in the library or moving from one photo to another is long.Or in development or modifications are not done automatically. And the worst being the selective filter or the AI, you have to constantly restart the software. I spent hours with the lvl 1 or 2 technician who modified my computer and made a mess of it. They all end up telling me that the problem comes from my configuration.I am on w10 /32go ram/8go vram/ssd nvme/small catalog/dynamic overview. My professional life is hell because of this and update after update this problem at the heart of the software is never addressed. You add new features that no one asks for but basically your software has become unusable for many users and I see no message in this section about it and no re
When I go to applications on my desktop computer, Lightroom is listed as follows: Top Level: Adobe Lightroom CC 2nd Level: Adobe Lightroom Inside the app: Adobe Lightroom I am trying to teach myself and learn from online resources how to use all the tools Lightroom offers. I primarily use my iMac desktop (LR vs 7.5) for editing, organizing and storing my images locally. Most of the information I am finding about LR is not designed for desktop work, but assumes mobile use. I do have a mobile device that I use occastionally. But I find it just as easy to dump the contents of an SD card into my desktop when I return home. The mobile device, IF I open up the SD card, is for previewing only. I prefer to edit on the desktop. I get the benefits of an auto transfer, but I DO NOT WANT MY IMAGES STORED ON ADOBE CLOUD. But I digress. I just need to know: If I remove Lightroom Classic- what will happen to my images? If I install Lightroom Classic CC: what will happen to
This has happened twice to me recently, after years of no issues..I have raw pictures imported in situ ( so not copied ) from a fixed hard drive. ( In the past I copied from the source to a different drive). Lightroom classic on PC.I edit them for several days, all good.I then select all pictures and export to a different folder on the same drive as JPG.The pictures are then no longer in the source folder, but instead appear in trash, and lightroom shows no pictures in the original folder. The first time this happened I lost all my edits because I didn't have the option set to write edits to XMP files. I have seen a couple of posts in the past from people and the reply has been lightroom does not delete pictures on export, however I can assure you it's deleting them from the hard disk.
Recentely downloaded free trial and subscribed for LR Classic 13.5 Relase on my Windows 11 laptop. After creating my own Preset i observed that i am able to apply the new presets but unable to use the Preset Slider for controlling the amount to apply.
My edited photos look great in Lightroom Classic. I have a DJI Mavic Classic. When I airdrop to my phone. email, etc. the edited photo does not have the edits applied? My photos from my Canon R5 has never had that issue.
Everytime I go to open Lightroom it will load the main screen and i can see all my catalogs, the grey boxes before the images load but before the images can load lightroom crashes and ejects my hardrive? I have restarted my computer and my lightroom just updated this morning?
Has anyone had issues with develop in lightroom classic on a mac? I am trying to edit and everything on the right side is greyed out and I cannot do anything. Everything is running very slow as well. I have cleaned my mac so space shouldt be an issue. Please share any tips on how to resolve if possible! Thank you!
O/S: macOS 14.5 (23F79) 13.5 Release Build [202408062022-6258095b] I've enabled HDR in the Library module. When viewing photos in the Library module, though, they are pixelated (maybe 1:4?), as if there were no 1:1 previews built? In the Develop module, the resolution is fine, and if I disable HDR in Library mode, the Library Module displays 1:1 as expected. Re-enabling HDR mode returns the Library view to the pixelated image. There is no "Loading..." indicator, and I've waited quite a while, so I don't think it is a matter of the screen just not being loaded yet. I tried building 1:1 previews with HDR enabled, but LR claims that they are already built. This seems pretty universal for images in my library. I was editing pictures and closed Lightroom to edit a recently exported photo in Photoshop. When I opened Lightroom back up, no files are showing in my D drive folders. They still show up under All Photographs with their most recent edits, but are not separated into their folders. There have been no changes to any pathways, and the last Lightroom catalog before the current one is from May. I really need these to be organized back in their folders without losing the edits. Using Windows.
Looking for advice from those who work on multiple external hard drives. I have a 14TB External Harddrive at my office that I do not move (it's huge). I use that for the bulk of my photos (Lightroom catalog is on my Macbook Pro). I also have a smaller 2TB external harddrive that travels with me. My question is - is it best practice/ok to open lightroom and work off the 2TB drive when I'm away from my office and work in the catalog even though the bulk of my photos are saved on the 14TB drive? I know obviously I won't be able to edit the photos that are saved on the 14TB drive when I'm not connected, but I need a solution for when I work remote/am away from my office (which is where the 2TB drive will be used). Seeing the little 'exclamation' points in LrC gives me anxiety lol. When I'm back in the office, I would use Lightroom's internal system for moving the photos from the 2TB to the 14TB. Is this best practice? Or am I asking for corrupted
it would be better and more friendly to use if the ctrl button is removed from the develop module in order to go to next or previous photos
I've tried uploading LRTemp... presets in Classic (got latest as just gone on monthly) but they're not uploading, and I don't have any Adobe presets either, should there be some standard ones? I went for 'other presets' Lightroom Develop presents, user presets, put them in a folder, restarted... nothing
I purchased Lightroom Classic some time ago. I know it is no longer supported but I simply want to open it. I sccessfully login but am asked to login when I try to open the app immediately after..
I'm running mac 12.7.6 and Lightroom classic version 13.5. Everytime I import a photo Lightroom Classic adds a keyword (date) that I don't type. It's adding "2022". I don't know how to make it stop doing this. It's annoying because I have to delete it from all the photos everytime I import. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Hi and thank for reading my post. I may be missing something obvious here but images taken on my Olympus OM-1 in Monochrome ( .ORF ) and then imported into LR Classic where they are converted into .dng file appear Monochrome in the thumbnail in LR Library panel.... but when I export the image into the develop panel to edit.... they appear in colour ?? Even though I took them in Mono in the first place...Ok its easy enough to just hit B&W in the develop panel and they resume black and white again. But does this mean the Mono settings I applied in camera ( Sharpness, filters, contrast) are not carried over to the final image in the develop panel ??Your advice is appreciated.
So this has been going on for two versions now. I've posted about this before but have not seen a fix for it. The app is doing something in the background and will not respond to commands immediately. It sometimes performs them 10-30 seconds later then goes right back to being unresponsive again. I can see my dedicated photo raid drive acting very busy with something even though my Sync is paused and there are no acitvites happening in the upper left part of the interface window. Clearly the program is doing something that I cannot control or pause. What I am left with is a program which cannot let me reliably do my work.I don't know what is happening with this program but it seems obvious that if I am to do work on this program it needs to perform the tasks when I tell it to do them and not occasionally do things when it wants to. I am losoing time and money working in Lightroom and will have to seriously consider moving to another progfram if I cannot get my work done when I nee
Present Aspect Ratio of Picture in Library Module for easy reference. I tis very important to be able to quickly scan and recognize the current aspect ratio in addition to pixel dimensions. All that is requied is to create a calculation of pixel Width/pixel Height and show this number as a decimal and/or fraction. THis is critical for ease of reference for print purposes as well as other compositional workflows.
I have a new, more powerful desktop PC with Windows 11 and with it comes a problem I have never encountered before on my old PC and Windows 10.The problem: third party image converters, such as XnConvert and a bunch of others I tried in the last days, fail when it comes to converting DNG files edited in and exported from Lightroom Classic into JPEG files. In all cases the DNG-to-JPEG conversion runs seemingly normally, but the produced JPEGs contain absolutely none of the edits featured in the DNG files. Instead, the produced JPEGs appear to be the converted versions of the unedited, raw files (Nikon NEF). Notably, exporting to DNG or JPEG from LRC works just fine, but LRC is not the best option for batch conversions.I would be thankful for any ideas or explanations.

Can you reposition, or move around a zoomed in screen when in the Mask module? I've been getting out of Mask when I need to move the screen around, then returning to it when I'm showing the area I want. Just wondering if there's a way to do it without leaving the Mask module. Thanks.
