For example, when using the brush to create a mask, it will SOMETIMES continue to draw until the pen is lifted more than 1" to 2"off the tablet and then continue to draw once again when pen is in contact with the tablet or back within 1" to 2". When that happens, the only way to "release" the brush is to tap the pen on the tablet.I deleted and reinstalled latest Wacom driver and then fell back to a previous driver version; both to no avail.I also have a Xencelabs pen & tablet which doesn't have the same problem. (Yeh, I know -- why don't I just use that? Answer: I've had the Wacom for years and I like it better LOL)Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Windows 10 64-bitLRC v 12.4
Hello everyone.I installed ligthroom classic on my new PC thinkpad P16 Gen 2 on windows 11 (intel i7 13th Gen, 64 GB of memory, graphiq card NVIDIA RTX™ 2000 8GB GDDR6) and since then, I have had a problem with slowness when updating the metadata (5s for updating a photo). This problem is random and does not affect all of my photos. For all other treatments, I have no problem. And for information, I have exactly the same settings as my old PC for which I have no problem.Likewise, I am currently at version 13.3 of lightroom classic. Thanks for your help.Frédéric
The screen shot pretty much says it all. I am trying to cleanup my Plug-in Manager by removing all the vestigial/obsolete Plug-ins. The Facebook Plug-in that is highlighted is a good example. The Plug-in is disabled and useless, but I cannot remove it because the "Remove" function in the menu at the bottom is dimmed and, thus, also useless. There are several others like this in the listing. How do I remove these useless Plugins from the listings if there is no "Remove" function? Thanks, --PS
Hello, I have a hard drive that I am no longer using, and it has around 900K images. I am trying to delete the entire folder from the catalog, and every time I right click the "remove" folder, which is missing, my LR seems to freeze. Is there another way or method of removing large folders? Thank you,
Sync has stopped working yet again on 13.3 and upgrading to 13.3.1 doesnt' fix it. Strangely, edits of existing photos in the sync'd folders seem to be migrating to sync over, but adding new photos to folders with sync turned on doesn't result in the photos appearing there. I have tried the below with no changes.: 1. Rebuild sync data (before I saw the message not to do so from Adobe... this used to be my first troubleshooting step so instinctively went for it). 2. Made a microadjustment of +1 contrast on one photo and then did "sync settings" and copied that single adjustment to ALL photos. This virtually ALWAYS worked to "kick in" the syncing feature in the past. 3. Deleted all photos from sync'd folders then added them back. The "new" photos (added since whenever this problem started) did not show up after all was sync'd again. I thought of just deleting all sync data as they say you can do in the Adobe Prefs pane, but says to do online. There used to be an optio
My Pixel phone shoots RAW & jpg. When I try to save files from Lightroom Mobile, I get only jpegs to send. Is there a way to get RAW files to my desktop PC with using Lightroom cloud ?
Previous to 1-2 months ago: 1. enter keyword2. realize I made error3. undo4. type in correct keyword and undoing removed bad keyword from list Now1.-3. same4. type in correct and as I'm typing, error keyword is predicted until I "override" prediction by finishing corectly typed keyword. In this latter case, both correct and incorrect keywords have added to my already-too-long list, and needs to be manually removed. This has slowed my workflow since I rely heavily on keywording to database my images and if I don't stop and delete each error keyword from list, it'll always be in there, temping me on the next use to use the error instead of correct. Is this a bug? Did it come with a new update? Maybe I should just enter more carefully? 😕😕Any help would be greatly appreciated and could hopefully help others. Thanks!Max in Queens
Hello all. Recently I've noticed that when importing images from an SD card the time it takes to import a relatively small number of images is incredibly slow - around 15-20 minutes for 30 images.I'm using a MacBook Pro M3. I've checked that graphics processor is turned on, optimised the catalog and checked that everything is updated to the latest version but to no avail. The catalog is stored on the MBP hard drive, not external and import is from SD card to SSD external hard drive.Any ideas of things to try would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello, I recently updated to LR Classic 13.3 and I noticed that while working with masks specifically the brush option Lightroom is slow and nonresponsive at times. I have had absolutely no issues with masking at all before 13.3. Windows 1064 gigs of Ram Rysen 7 2700 8 core NVidia Geforce 6 gig 1650
After Synchronizing a LR Folder, LR should return the user to the same Folder. Currently LR deselects the active Folder and the user must re-navigate to the working Folder. This will speed up the workflow. I usually have dozens of Folders (sessions) each with 3-5 sub-folders, within the catalog so scrolling through them to get back to the working Folder (session) is a tedious time consuming process.Upvote if you want LR to be more user friendly and faster to use. I can no longer create a collection in Lightroom classic. It is updated to the current version. I click the + sign like I use to do but nothing happens. Help [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Merci [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
My open screen says: 1992-2024 Adobe Photoshop LightroomAdobe Creative Cloud I've been using Lightroom for years, and now I cannot do any editing. The tools are no longer available (i.e., Not sure what they were called: the ellipse, circle, etc.) I can only use the sliders to affect the entire image...I can't do any spot editing on sections of the image. Perhaps I can reinstall the program (if so any help on doing this will be most appreciated) Thank you,Joe
The clone tool in LR 13.3.1 does significantly worse on power lines against a blue sky than in LR 13.2. Here's an example, LR 13.2 followed by 13.3.1: Some experimentation shows that for a given brush size, LR 13.2 records many more dabs in the develop setting RetouchAreas than LR 13.3.1. In the example above, LR 13.2 recorded 142 dabs, while LR 13.3.1 recorded only 70 dabs. Perhaps this is the cause of the poorer results in LR 13.3.1. Note that LR 13.3 changed the units of the brush sizes. In the example above, I chose size 77 in LR 13.2 and size 43 in LR 13.3.1, yielding brush radii very close in actual size. But testing shows nearly identical results picking sizes one unit larger or smaller. To access this example, download this folder:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mdjog7wa42p3gcgaic16n/clone-bug.2024.06.04.zip?rlkey=a02e4280gsn7qlzezr983ipht&dl=0 It contains two catalog files, clone-13-2.lrcat and clone-13-3.lrcat, along w
I updated to the new catalog and now I have lightning bolts in the top right corner of all my images in the film strip. It had asked me if I wanted to use the new version and I said yes but the bolts are still there. How can I get rid of them? I am running version 6 in the calibration tab.
Yesterday while I was trying to import photos from my harddrive I got a "The following files were not imported because their paths contain backlashes"message, however none of the file names actually do contain backslashes. They're the same Nikon RAW and scanned TIFF files I've been importing for many years. When I put the files on my Desktop and import them they work but this is not how I want to have to use Lightroom and it's never been an issue before. I'm also getting a "The file could not be found" message without an exclamation point on various images I've recently edited. It's recognizing some files from the same folder while saying others cannot be found. To be clear, they are not accidentally stored in iCloud, they are saved the exact same way as other files that Lightroom is letting me edit from the shoot. Meanwhile when I look at the files that could not be found in Library, the file name and folder path are recognized. This is so frustrating, please advis
Hello, I sent a shared collection (album) of about 330 photos from a portrait headshot session to a client and had them select their favorites by liking them in the lightroom shared album web browser client. How do you filter for the liked images within Lightroom classic or Lightroom mobile so that I can go edit the client's favorite photos and deliver them? I am using the most up-to-date versions of Lightroom mobile and Lightroom classic as of today's date. Thank you,
Hi, I'm using macOS Sonoma at the moment but want to downgrade to macOS Monterey (for various reasons). Will the new Remove Tool (Generative Remove) work on Monterey?I know for example some specific tools in Photoshop require the latest version of Ventura. Thanks
I purchased a new Mac, and installed LR (still using old Mac) and in using the Focus Point plug in I get the following error: Can not process this photo - could not find any preview in LR preview catalog. Reason: Call to sqlite failed. Either sqlite is not installed correctly or there was another problem calling sqlite. Have redone all my previews, reinstalled, rebooted, on and on. What am I doing wrong? Anyone know how to fix?Thank you.
After the latest update today, even when I'm just browsing through images, the CPU temps go as high as 85°C. This never happened before even at full load when generating smart previews or doing some other high-intensity CPU work. Is anybody else experiencing this behavior?
I use a WD Passport external drive to store my photos. Each time I have the same issue: I can see the drive in my library with photos already imported and can see it when trying to import. However, after selecting photos to import nothing happens. The import progress bar not showing anything, the drive reading is very slow when browsing in Finder. Then, I usually try to cancel the import and close Lightroom but even if the import gets cancelled, Lightroom usually freezes and I have to force shutdown. Sometimes I manage to import photos from one folder, and then the next one freezes.Btw hard disc access via Finder only starts to slow down after I try to browse it via Lightroom. If I don't use Lightroom at all, the disk works fine. So it is difficult to import anything at all in this case. I suspect it is some incompatibility issue or software/OS compatibility issue. I remember that I had no such problems in the past. What external drive do you use with Lightroom?
I've imported some images using a preset to add copyright info into LRC v13.3. The copyright info is visible for RAW files as well as JPGs in LRC but it does not show up in Bridge. I'm suspicious that Adobe is using two different locations to store this data depending on which app one uses to add it. I cannot seem to find any copyright info using EXIFtool either so I can't be sure about the location (xmp?, IPTC?).Can anyone verify that conclusion or point me to the correct answer?
Creating a soft proof and resolving out-of-gamut colors using a targeted saturation adjustment to remove the gamut warning makes a global adjustment to the photo, which I prefer not to do. Should I make this adjustment and print the proof copy, or should I not make the adjustment and print the proof copy and let the LrC Print Module fix the out-of-gamut colors by using the Perceptual Intent? In other words, is print job intent being done locally, only affecting the out-of-gamut colors, which is better than a global color saturation adjustment?
