Helloi have just upgraded my pc in order to work faster with lightroomSpecs:Intel i5 Gen 1432 GB ramGigabyte motherboard B760mI thaught lightroom is gonna' "fly" but it isnt, defenitly works faster then old pc but not as I expected.As I read through the web, I get more confused:Should I add a graphic card (many sites says it won't help at all since all lightroom work is on the cpu) or do I need to upgrade the cpu to i7?Much appriciate help with best way to get lightroom to work faster..

I have no trouble applying my custom ACR Color Profile to Fuji or Canon (or any camera) DNG files but when I try to apply my Profile (saved as a Develop Preset), the presets containing my ACR Profile are greyed out.  Why?

I've opened and closed my new LR update 13.3 for several days now and it does NOT open where I left off - always starts up on where it was I guess when I ran the update and updated the catalog. Windows 11 Home, v. 22631.3593. LR has always started up where I left off. This would classify as a bug in my mind.

Lightroom nueva version, no me deja avanzar en el flujo con el revelado de fotos. Tengo instalda la ultima version, actualizado el windows 11, actualizada la tarjeta grafica, suficiente memoria RAM, suficiente espacio en SSD y aun asi, comienzo a editar y al poco tiempo hace crash y no se cual es la razon. Veo que sube un proceso de reporte automatico que asumo me hara llegar la razon del crash a mi correo y como poder solucionarlo , pero nada . termina de generar un reporte (eso creo que porque deja la interaccion extensiva con el disco principal) y luego simplemente entiendo que manda informacion , termina y nada, tengo que matar el proceso de lightroom que crashseo.Alguien con alguna idea o solucion al caso?

Lightroom Classic v13.2macOS Sonoma v14.5Camera = Lumix G9M2 firmware v2.1 I was exploring video capture with my new Lumix G9M2. While all of the stills I took imported into LrC v13.2 with the correct Capture date/time, all of the videos imported with a Capture date/time 8 hours off. So, what should have been May 24, 15:58:30, for example (a time shortly after the still image of the same scene) the Capture in Lightroom Classic v13.2 from this camera displayed as May 24, 23:58:30. A capture time that should have been May 24, 17:08:45 arrived in LrC as May 25, 01:08:45. A Lumix Firmware problem (v2.1 on my G9M2), or a LrC v13.2 problem? Since the video file time stamp as seen in the camera and in macOS Finder is correct, I would start by guessing Lightroom Classic v13.2 is having trouble inperpreting the data. At least it is fairly easy to edit the video capture time, since it is 8 hours. That time offset is interesting, since UTC is 8 hours ahead of Alaska Daylight Time.

Hi- i've had this problem for a while now- I go to use the mask tool to select the person or go to "find people" to select certain features and nothing happens. I'm almost certain it has to do with my graphics card but i'm not sure what to do about it. Hi there, Real basic question but I could just do with some reassurance!   I have made all necessary adjustments in Photoshop but forgot to flatten images before saving back to LRc.   When I export as a JPEG everything looks great but I am just concerned that it wont print corrected with the layers still there.   Each image is about 19MB.   I tried to go back into Photoshop, flatten and resave but it kept saving Metadata had changed and did I want to Save from Cat or disc but now I am confusing myself!   Any help appreciated.   Many thanks.

I'm currently on MacOS Sonoma 14.5.I noticed this change in LR Classic behavior recently (last 1 or 2 months), probably starting around LR 13.2.I've been on MacOS Sonoma for much longer than this change in behavior. There have been no other configuration changes on my Mac. The disk where I store my photos is an attached SSD, and that disk is not synced to iCloud. When I am in the Loupe view, and select one (or more) photo and hit the "delete" button, a dialog box appears asking whether I want to delete from Lightroom or Delete from disk. On selecting "Delete from Disk", I get another box that says "... these files could not be moved to the Trash". This is new behavior. On selecting "Permanently Delete Files", the files get deleted and do not show up in my Mac Trash. This is new behavior, and undesirable. The deleted photos used to be moved to the Trash. After the files get deleted, the Loupe View does not update. The preview still shows the deleted photo, but in the scro

Since the latest update, I cannot get import to work. I select the source and destination directories (plenty of room on destination). I then click the import button on the right side. Nothing happens except that the left hand import button gets grayed out. I tried leaving it to run overnight but the status didn't change, and my pictures aren't there. If I exit and restart LC the left import button shows again, but the result is the same.

Hello,I have a few hundred RAW photos taken with a Canon camera. All of them have been edited (cropped, color adjusted, shadows, etc.) in Apple Photos. Since Apple Photos lacks some features, I am moving to Adobe Lightroom Classic.Is there a way to export the edits I made in Apple Photos so that I can import them (together with the RAW files) into Lightroom Classic?I have tried "Export Unmodified Originals" with Export IPTC as XML, hoping it would allow me to transfer the edits. Unfortunately, Lightroom doesn't recognize the edits.Thank you.

Hello community, Since about two month I face the following problem using the latest lightroom classic verion13.3: if I want to use the remove tool in the development section, the picture is transformed into somewhat monochrome with outlines! As soon as I quit the remove tool the normal pic appears again.My System: iMac Mini M2 24GB macOS Sonoma 14.5find attached screen shot movie Can anyone advise me in this regared?Help is very much appreciated.Thank you.Josef

The help article Cameras supported by Camera Raw links to the article Photoshop or Lightroom doesn't support my camera, and though it claims to have been udpated Nov 3, 2023, it's way out-of-date: - It uses very old product names and version numbers. - It says Camera Raw and Lightroom are updated about once every 90 days, but in fact they are updated about once every eight weeks (56 days) on average.  

I cannot get Lightroom to open.  It is only running as a backgroun program.  I have tried rebooting, uninstalling both the lightroom app, as well as the Creative Cloud app.  Thanks!

I have a lot of Keywords with spaces in them (think family names with "first last"). How do I create a Smart Collection that searches for a exact, specific keyword of "Steve Parker"? There is no "equals" option, I have to choose "contains", and when I do this, I get every "Steve" and every "Parker". LR CC clearly supports tags with embedded spaces in the Names function. How do I get Smart Albums to lookup "exactly matching keywords" when those have a space in the Keyword. I've tried quoting the strings to no avail...And, for bonus points: How do I get a Smart Album to find all occurences of "Barn" without finding "Kevin Barnum" (trying to create an album of Barn pictures without finding pictures of my uncle "Kevin Barnum"). An exact search function would let me do this, but for now, I have to search for "Barn" and exclude "Barnum".I've searched around the web quite a bit for something that explains exactly how smart collection rule definitions work, but so far haven't found anything bu

When i export photos from lightroom classic and try to upload them to google drive or any other file sharing app, it says "file unreadable".    I havent changed how i previously exported, and this started randomly in the middle of exporting a large group of files ...most of them worked fine, but the last few said "files unreadable", and ever since that happened i cant figure out how to get things working like normal again.   It doesn't make to me, because i havent changed a thing.       Any help is appreciated 

I just upgraded from Lightroom Classic v12 to v13 and I'm missing a significant amount of metadata. I have about 21000 images in my catalog and the people were tagged in all of them (painstakingly over years). Now LRC is showing ~10000 unnamed people that had previously been tagged. How do I resolve this? I assume that data still exists in the v12 catalog file. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi guys, I'm just looking for a slider/button/setting to adjust the opacity while using the crop tool in LR (classic). As it's too much time consuming to display every ready cropped image on a second monitor while working through thousands of images, I want to avoid it. Helpful would be only to stay on the main display and let the cropped out parts of the image more faded out.So now my short question if there is any tool or setting to reduce the visibility of the imageparts outside the crop frame (maybe darken them more etc...)? Am I overlooking s.th. or isn't there no way?Thanks for your suggestions and ideas.

I have an image that is 225MB which I would like to enhance.  I've tried both .psd and .tif formats, but get a message saying that "Enhance cannot be applied to the selected photo."  I'm wondering if it is because of the size of the original file or something else.

For may years I've been able to backup my Lightroom catalog upon quiting, but now I get the message "Unable to backup catalog" after it tries to backup for a minute or so. I've unchecked the option boxes to 'check catalog intergrity' and the other check box but still get the same message. The catalog opens and seems to work fine but I am unable to backup. Any help with this for a solution would be much appreciated.  TIA, Ken

Just recently, my AI Denoise crashes at about 3/4 through processing.  Does anybody else have this problem?

LRC Version: 13.3Windows 10 OS Build 19045.4046Issue:• I have 3 screens. I edit LRC displaying on a 2560x1440 screen. I set the secondary moniter to use the largest screen, which has resolution of 3840x2160. For some unknown reason LRC randomly switches the secondary monitor to the screen with the smallest resolution, which is 1920x1080.• My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super. • This has been an issue for years, not a new problem. But I am now tried of this issue. LOL This causes me to reset the 2nd monitor multiple times within a few hours use. Again, the secondary screen switches at random times. Thank you,Alvin Robinson

I have several smart collections for publishing (e.g. in flickr) and other purposes that use the criterium FOLDER ENDS IN.These Smart Collections always worked fine and were updated whenever I changed the folders they referenced. But since Lightroom 13.3, this criterion no longer works. It doesn't find the original photos and suggests deleting all the photos from the collection. Another annoying bug coming with an update. Any ideas?Thank you.
