Lightroom Classic

Since the latest Lightroom Classic update, I’m experiencing a serious issue with importing exported JPEG files.Workflow: I work with DNG files in a shared workflow (catalog opened locally after being edited remotely). I export JPEG files (same filename as the DNG, e.g. IMG_1234.DNG → IMG_1234.jpg) into the same folder. I try to import or synchronize that folder to include the JPEGs in the catalog. Issue: Lightroom does NOT detect the JPEG files when synchronizing the folder. In the Import dialog, even when selecting “All Photographs”, the JPEGs do NOT appear. The option “Don’t import suspected duplicates” is disabled. Dragging the JPEG files directly into Lightroom also does NOT import them. The files are visible in Finder and are valid JPEGs. Additional observations: This did NOT happen in previous versions of Lightroom Classic. It happens consistently across multiple folders. Renaming the JPEG files (e.g. adding a suffix) makes them importable again. Exporting JPEGs

Since the latest Lightroom Classic update, I’m experiencing a bug when exporting files.Workflow:1. Open catalog with DNG files edited by a collaborator2. Save metadata (Cmd/Ctrl + S)3. Export JPEGs in high resolution to the same folder4. Use “Export → Format: Original” to copy those JPEGs to a new external folder (not added to catalog)Issue:In this last step, Lightroom randomly generates .acr sidecar files for some images in the destination folder.Important:- This did NOT happen before the update- Source folder does NOT contain any .acr files- It only happens when using “Format: Original”- It does NOT happen when exporting JPEG normally (low resolution or re-encoded)- It only affects some files, not allThis seems related to metadata writing or sidecar handling.System:- Lightroom Classic version: 15.3- OS: Mac 26.3.1 (25D2128)

LR V15.2 hangs in denoise after several images were processed. That suggests a memory leak or a resource starvation, deadlock or any similar issue. LR hangs than, ignores the “cancel” button. When I click on the window [x] the window closes, but LR is still non responsive. When I try to terminate it, it hangs. Using Task Manager “kill process” stops LR finally.  After a restart the previously hanging image processes fine and fast. I am using W11 Pro on a Dell Xeon workstation with 48G RAM and the LR and its cache are on a NVMe drive. When it works, the denoise (and also the AI object removal or marking) are wonderful and they clearly improve the quality of work on our photography. 

I was simply trying to remove one old folder of images that no longer existed. Shockingly, my entire catalog of photographs vanished!I need to restore from the latest backup, which was yesterday. I need guidance to do this, lest I do further damage. Help will be much appreciated!For now I am shutting LRC down until I know how to proceed.

Good morning! I'm trying to auto straighten a bunch of photos, something I haven't had issues with in the past. I select my images, select 'auto sync', go to the crop tool and hit Auto to straighten. All of my images look like they've had an adjustment made (or LR thinks they have) but if I go back into the image and hit the auto straighten, more adjustments are made. This is frustrating as this used to work, so I don't think it's my technique. Any ideas on how I can make this functional again? Anyone else having this issue? TIA.

I haven’t had any issues using LRC. Just tried to log in and get this error message  

I already subscribe to the plan Creative Cloud Pro but the 100GB of storage for Lightroom Classic is not enough. Knowing there exists a plan for 1TB storage as a stand-alone, I’d like to be able to pay a bit more on top of my plan to get that 1TB storage.I can’t simply swap my current plan for Lightroom Classic 1TB plan because then I’d lose access to the other apps I still use.What’s the solution here? The website and AI agents as well as the human support team hasn’t been able to present me a solution.

I have created and saved an 88 page photo book in the Book Module.  Layout is Standard Landscape.  Paper is Standard.  At various points during the process, soft cover options were available in the dropdown menu for covers.  At several points I changed the paper and cover types to see how it would change pricing and everything worked fine.  At some point, the soft cover options disappeared and I was left with only with the two hardcover options in the dropdown menu (see screenshot).  I’ve tried restarting multiple times.  I also created a duplicate book and the issue remained the same in the duplicate.  I contacted Blurb and they confirmed that soft cover options should appear for this book based on paper, layout, and number of pages. Any suggestions?  I’ve put tens of hours into creating this book so I don’t want to do anything that would risk losing my work. Thanks!Misha

Hello, I’m facing since a few days a strange behavior with Lightroom classic. When inserting the card in my Mac, non images are displayed in the import window. Nevertheless, it’s possible to see them in the Finder (both jpeg & raw)My current configuration is Mac Studio M2 Max, Tahoe 26.3.1 & LRC 15.3 Using the same card & card reader with my Wx computer & LRC 15.2 does not bring any issue. Images are present to be imported.(I just tried to remove / install LRC on the Mac keeping the profile and it provides the same result) Any idea  ? Thanks

When I click on some of the masking tools such as sky or background, LR appears to start working on it, blue circle spins, but then it just stops and doesn’t mask anything. Brush masking seems to be OK. I have updated my Graphics drivers to latest version as well (NVidia GeForce 2070 Super) but this hasn’t made a difference. Sometimes, restarting LRC will sort it, other times, I have to fully reboot my PC. This has never been an issue before prior to installing latest LRC. Happens quite frequently. Thanks.

Have upgraded to LR15.3 classic and now I can’t apply any presets. How do I fix this? 

In the Print mode in Lightroom Classic I select Page Setup to choose printer, paper size and type. Then go to Print Settings - Printer Options and set Color Matching and Print Settings. Then go to Printer - Printer Options and set Color Matching and Print Settings again and then print. The final print comes out as a tiny thin line in the center of the paper.

Add New Mask, then select Subject. Some idle time, then no result. Have rebooted, same results. Since updating to 15.3, everything runs MUCH slower in LRC. Any AI masking takes longer and especially denoise is painfully slow now. My system is newer, I have a good graphics card and it’s been running perfectly for months, until this update. My catalog is brand new with less than 3000 RAW images in it.Is this a known bug that is being worked on (hopefully), or are there new settings I need to adjust possibly? Any info would be helpful, it’s really slowing me down.

This issue is back.I have two monitors and extend the displays. I run LRC on the left monitor. When I open the second window it opens on the left monitor. If I drag the main window part way over to the right monitor, open the second window and then maximize the main one, the main window snaps to the left monitor and the second to the right.It does not matter which monitor is considered primary or which is labeled as 1 or 2.LRC 15.3 on Win 11 (10.0.28200), NVIDIA Studio Driver 595.79 - Geforce RTX 5070,  Asus VZ24EHF and Asus VZ27EHF

I am running LR 6.5.  Often, when I open the secondary monitor and then switch to grid view on the primary monitor, a "second" secondary monitor window will open on the primary screen. In other words, I have the primary monitor showing grid view, the secondary monitor showing loupe view, and another small secondary window on the primary monitor (also showing loupe view).  Does anyone know how I can stop this second secondary window from opening?

I recently just reinstalled both lightroom classic and photoshop on my windows 11 laptop after dealing with a subscription issue. They both worked fine with minimal issues prior to deleting them but after reinstalling I just can’t seem to get LRC to open at all and always leads immediatly to a crash report on startup. Photoshop launches just fine which is very strange. If someone can help me with this that would be great. I will copy the crash report if that helps (it’s very long for some reason). Usually, the photos that need attention for noise reduction are those taken with high ISO.  How high varies a bit with the camera, but generally I want to consider applying noise reduction at ISO 1600 or higher and sometimes even ISO 800.  And the best time to apply noise reduction is at the very start of processing. Given these considerations it seems odd that LR does not provide any help in locating the high ISO images in a collection or folder.   Ability to sort on ISO would be extremely useful; alternatively, a way to filter on high ISO could serve much the same need.  Neither of these options would seem to present much difficulty since ISO is recorded in the EXIF information.

Lightroom V. 15.3 tether capture only works in live view with my Canon R6 II, not photo capture. Using Windows 11 current version.
