MacBook Pro M3 Pro and MacBook Pro M5 Max MacOS 27.0.1 aka Golden Gate I have a catalog i made for test purposes this June containing 109 Nikon Z8 non compressed photos.When i tick the Denoise box runtime is 3 seconds, great!However, if i make a new catalog with the same 109 photos then runtime is 11 seconds :-(I did many test and catalogs and same happen, denoise time is 11 sec on the M5 Max and 17 sec on the M3 Pro what is not surprising.It seems to me that the catalog who does denoise in 3 seconds have the photos only in a collection as but no photos are shown on disk. See the attached screenshotNow i am a bit confused about why i can edit photos if the original is not on the disk but in a collection ?Exporting the edited photo i get a warning window saying, but export works perfectly fineSo from what i understand in this case i work with smart previews instead of the original file.What i am wondering why is the Denoise time for Smart Preview so much faster; 3 seconds instead of 11

Hi guys,I am a wedding photographer and web developer quite okay with colour spaces. So here is my problem. Adobe Lightroom Classic is using Adobe Colour profile for my images but when I export the images the image looks totally different. Before you think I am a newbi here is what I have done so far. 1. I understand colour space differences. I also used the soft proofing option within LR with sRGB profile to see how it will look. Soft proofing and develop module gives me the same look, but after exporting is totally oversaturated. 2. I am using my Dell Ultrasharp Premier Colour monitor calibrated to perfection and I am using the monitor in sRGB mode. 3. The exported image is oversaturated compared to LR on ANY DEVICEs. So I export the image, and that images looks exactly the same oversaturated on Iphone, Ipad, Samsung phones, and laptops. 4. I have the same version of Lightroom on my laptop, and if I export it there, it does not alter the settings. I use the s

I use the fabulous autostack by time feature in LR Classic (latest version as of the date of this post).  This neatens and clarifies what is included in any stacks I have made most of which are in the hundreds of raw images.However when I want to select a stack to export to other applications selecting the stack only grabs the first image and the stack must be laboriously expanded and then the firsts and last images must be selected (in windows) via the shift key.  This is not so easy when navigating down several pages of thumbnails.A simple feature beneath the right click ‘stack’ option could be added to those already there to ‘Select all images in the stack’ Simplez  cheersIan

Lightroom Classic tether function was finally working without issue, but after latestest update (14.1.1) will no longer fire via the tether shooting panel when camera (Nikon 850) is in mirror lock-up mode. The other functions work fine, i.e., shuutter speed, aperture, ISO.. all communicate with camera and adjust, but after first click of shutter release (via tether panel) camera just locks with "PC" on LCD. OS: Win 11

Since updating to Lightroom Classic 15, the behavior of the Crop tool when drawing a new crop box with the mouse has changed.I am a high-volume photographer and process around 50,000 photos per year, often in batches of 1,000–3,000 images. For many years, my workflow has been to press R and immediately draw a completely new crop box with the mouse. I do not resize the existing crop by dragging its corners.Previously, when working on a portrait image with a locked aspect ratio (for example 2:3 / As Shot), I could simply start dragging a tall, narrow rectangle and Lightroom would immediately recognize that I wanted a portrait-oriented crop.Now, when I start drawing a new crop box, Lightroom keeps the crop in landscape orientation. It only switches to portrait orientation after I drag the mouse a very long distance vertically. When I look at images in grid mode they are different than the image in develop mode. This makes it impossible to use the grid to compare final edits for consistency.

Hi, I used a DJI Mini 3 Pro and imported DNG files and in the profile it correctly shows Adobe Landscape, Adobe Colour, Adobe Standard and Adobe Vivid profiles.I’ve got a new DJI Mini 5 Pro and when I important on the same Lightroom (same Mac etc) the only profiles it shows are Color, Adaptive Colour, Monochrome and Adaptive B&W. I’ve tried different .DNG files from my Mini 5 Pro. Have also installed the latest Mac Lightroom and Camera Raw updated today (29/9/26) but still does not give me the other profiles which is very frustrating as I like Adobe Landscape for my drone images.Can anyone help on this please? LrC 15.6 update has hidden my masks on some dng files. The masks themselves aren't displaying in the panel, but the image is showing the adjustments. Is anyone else having this issue?

Have upgraded to LR15.3 classic and now I can’t apply any presets. How do I fix this? 

I would like Lightroom Classic to add a way to acknowledge and dismiss an AI Edit Status warning while preserving the existing AI result exactly as it is.Currently, after using tools such as Denoise, Remove, Generative Remove, or AI masking, subsequent edits can cause the AI Edit Status icon to turn yellow. At that point my choices are essentially to leave a persistent yellow warning on the image or click Update and recompute the AI operation.That is a problem because recomputing an AI edit is not necessarily a neutral operation. With Generative Remove in particular, the generated replacement can change. I may have already reviewed several variations and deliberately chosen the one I want. Hi, I’ve noticed in recent weeks that when I am shooting tethered with my Canon EOS 5D Mark iii and Lightroom Classic, the buttons on my camera don’t work properly, but when I unplug from the cable, the buttons on my camera work fine. It’s a tethering issue and I am guessing a software issue, rather than a camera issue since the trouble only happens when I am plugged (Tether Pro cable to macbook Pro running Sonoma 14.3 with Lightroom Classic 15.5.1). Anybody else? I have trouble choosing focus points, etc. because the buttons don’t work when tethered. Super frustrating! Thanks!

I was diagnosed with early-stage dementia, and I’m having a difficult time understanding what I need to do to preserve my Lightroom catalogs, collections, and photographs before I cancel my subscription.I’ve contacted Adobe several times asking if there was any discounted plan available, similar to a student plan, but was told there wasn’t one.I’m hoping someone here can explain, in simple terms, what I need to do to make sure I don’t lose the organization I’ve built over many years of photography.Thank you.Geo 

Sometimes I need to refine the edit in Photoshop. /when it’s time to save the file and return to Lightroom I always get a filename with a Lowercase extension. There is no option to set it to Uppercase [image 1], unlike the export dialog [image 2] I tried to rename the file manually within Lightroom, rewriting the extension to Uppercase in the Filename field, but doesn’t work. It reverts to Lowercase on pressing enter to confirm the change.Is there any trick, or unknown/hidden feature?If not, I hope this will be considered also as feature request. Lightroom Classic sur Mac reste bloqué sur “Synchronisation de 420 photos” avec le message “Problème de synchronisation”. Aucune collection n'est synchronisée et l'état de synchronisation sur le Web indique 0 photo. Hello all. I had to replace my old GPU (GTX 1660 Super) after it died. I’ve never experienced any problems using LrC with it on my pc with a Ryzen 5 5600 X processor 16Gb RAM.  But since I replaced it with an RTX 5060 I’ve had nothing but problems: initially any action (opening masks, moving sliders) would take forever to respond and were very stuttery) I’ve since updated the GPU drivers and things have improved somewhat. But I’m still having issues. It still takes a few seconds to open masks and use sliders, but once they start they operate smoothly. But it’s particularly slow at responding to the \ “before and after” action, it takes about 10 seconds to switch between the two.
