This is a chronic but itermittant issue for me. No matter how often I reboot the computer (Mac Sequoia 15.2) or cycle through "J", or reset the LR preferences the Flag icon is repeatedly disappearing. After cycling through all the recommended fixes, the flag icon may start to show for a few days, but then it reverts to no icon. I know the images are flagged, because when I ask it to select flagged images, they are properly selected. But in Grid, Filmstrip, Loupe... it doesn't matter. The flag icon is constantly disappearing.Been happening for a couple months (It's now Jan 15, 2025)
I tried optimizing and checking for integrity serveral times. I can't get my catalog to upgrade. There's only this message: Lightroom encountered problems when trying to update the format of the catalog fileand cannot use this catalog in this version of Lightroom. It sends me to a tech note that has nothing to do with my problem as far as I can tell. My OSX is up to date an on v26
In the last few months, Lightroom Classic has been adding keywords to my photos on import. Here is an example... Birds, Blur judgement:Appropriate, Exposure judgement:Appropriate, Water I have searched everywhere looking for an option to automatically add keywords based on the content of the image, but I cannot find anything. Please, someone, help me make it stop.
Sync is broken since the update to version 15.0...My computer is online more them 12 hours and nothing sync. And yes... it is online with a working internet connection.Everything was working fine and after the update the catalog start sync LOTS of images and its stuck ( look like all updates are metadata uploaded ).The LR CLOUD BASED is working fine and can access the catalog without any sync.No missing files, no issues with the catalog, it was optimized after the update, tested the integrity... no errors. Restarted the LR sometimes and the sync keep stucked.
Hi all!I have two copies of the identical photo. The only difference is that one copy has had some photoshop changes and is a .TIF file, and the other is a raw file with a few lightroom adjustments. No changes to the crop, rotation, angle, etc. have been done that might skew a localized adjustment mask. I am using Lightroom 5.0 on a PC.I have an adjustment brush mask on my raw file that I would like to copy over to the .tif file. I've tried both the copy settings/paste way of doing it, as well as the synchronize way of doing it (both times ensuring that all 'Local Adjustments' options and 'Process Version' were selected and nothing else). Both approaches have the same result, and in both cases the result is way off. (I've attached a photo to show what I mean). What am I doing wrong? It's not even close enough to warrant slight adjustments on my part. I even exited Lightroom and re-booted it.As you can see, not only is the mask way o
I've got a new problem with images not rendering in the develop pane in Lightroom 14.5.1. The images look like they are out of focus effectively, every single one. I can elave the sceen for long periods of time (half an hour) and the image doesn't render at all, it still looks just out of focus. The only way to get each image to render is to zoom in to 100% then back out again, which is a real pain. Move to the next image and then back to the previous one and it is blurry again. I've rendered smart previews, standard previews, 1:1 previews, nothing makes any difference. Using an M3 mac with 1gb free space on the drive and 32gb memory. I've also tried optimising the catalog, and trying a new test catalog, all the same. Before anyone asks, yes, the images are definitiely in focus. Any ideas?
Hallo!
Should standard previews be sized to the longest edge of the display's physical resolution or to the longest edge of the display's scaled resolution? I ask because the auto size for standard previews on my 4K display is 3840, even though my display is configured to display at 1920x1080 in system settings->display.

When working with multiple masks in Lightroom, the app consistently freezes when toggling the “before/after” view (using either the “Eye” icon or the “\” keyboard shortcut) while the top mask is a Subject Mask. Steps to reproduce:Create two masks on an image.Make the top mask a Subject Mask.Apply any mask adjustments.Repeatedly toggle the “Eye” icon or press “\” multiple times to view before/after.Lightroom will eventually freeze and become unresponsive. System info:macOS Sequoia (reproduced on multiple devices)Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 Screen recording demonstrating the issue is attached.Note: In the video, I’m clicking pretty fast just to trigger the freeze reliably, but in normal use Lightroom can still hang after just a few before/after checks.
Hi, I've reached a frustration point where I'm ready to look for alternatives to Adobe. One day I create a catalog & a collection and it syncs to my lightroom.adobe.com library beautifully and then another day I create a different catalog and collection and it refuses to sync. I'm using Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 on Windows 11 Home, with plenty of Ram (64GB) and a 4TB drive, my raw cache is set to 60GB.Current sample set is 849 images.I have imported every way possible - w standard previews, w 1:1 previews, w smart previews, etc.I create a collection, I initiate sync.EVERY TIME, I see my photos "sync", but none of the images actually do - I receive this error for every image. Every single image. If I go to my ipad to view the sync'd files it gives the same error, the grid with grey blocks is there - with no image actually available for me to edit. The issue started before the updates that were just released to LR Classic. I've "permanently deleted all
Lightroom Classic has been misbehaving intermittently for a few months now. I had hoped the latest version would fix things but it hasn't. When scrolling in the Grid,or Filmstrip image display sometimes stalls for several seconds. When importing, the folder structure of the hard drive where my photos are stored sometimes does not display in Destination, and now I sometimes get a green screen when selecting 100% view in the Library module. If I quit LR and re-open the problems go away but eventually return. I have the latest version of LR classic (15.0.1) installed on my internal SSD drive (2Tb with 360GB free space). I have done all the recommended actions to improve LR performance including uninstall and re-install of LR, deletion of preference files, checked cache size is adequate (it is set at 50Gb and is on my internal SSD), optimised catalog. Graphics processor is on auto. I have deleted any unused plug-ins. I have a Mac Studio M1Ma
Hello, Unfortunately, my Lightroom Classic (offline version) has recently been crashing as soon as I try to import photos. I use Win 10 64 bit. The LogCollectorTool has uploaded the file “AdobeLogs_20251012_065820_950-win-GS.zxp” to Adobe. I have also worked through the instructions, but unfortunately without success: https://community.adobe.com/t5/creative-cloud-desktop-discussions/can-not-get-the-latest-version-of-lightroom-lightroom-classic-and-photoshop/m-p/13794814 The instructions also said to send the two CoreSync Folders to Adobe. But to what mailadress? Can you help me? Best regards and many thanks for your help.
Problem Statement: LrC hangs up after starting. Does not respond. have to close . ==> impossible to use the programNext steps done: remove Lrc entierly using teh Clouds app.shut down WIN11 restart and insntall again LrC from Adobe cloud. Unfortuntaly exactly the same behaviour: LrC loads and is stuck with excact the same screen: Develop module and last edited pictures. will not load. Conclusion: I am stuck. very strange indeed. Not that I found a security uopdate 2025-11 Security Update (KB5068861) (26200.7171) isntalled on novembe 12, and my be the culprit. Has anyone an idea ? Any feedback is welcome. thanks... Francois
Lightroom Classic - Seeking Apple Mac Studio Configuration Advice I’m planning to get a new Apple Mac Studio computer and want to determine model and configuration so it will be good enough for 5+ years I primarily use it for Adobe Lightroom Classic and Nik Software and most interested in editing speed. I’m currently a basic user - primarily sharpen, mask, crop, B+W editing (in Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex Pro), generative fill, and likely will do more advanced editing in the future so would like to configure accordingly. I don’t edit videos. I can afford to get upgraded CPU, GPU and unified memory if it makes sense. If “supersizing” computer costs more, but not really make things noticeably faster, OK with not doing so. Base ModelsM4 Max $2K 36 GB Memory, 512GB SSDM3 Ultra $4K 96 GB Memory, 1TB SSD I really don’t know how CPU, GPU and unified memory affect editing speed. Seeking recommendations for which model to get, a
adobe lightroom classic 15.01 does not start after the update, the process is in the task manager, but the program does not open, while version 14.0X is stable, everything opens immediately.

Since upgrading to 15.x I have an issue when importing images, where when trying to highlight a series of images using Shift+Left Click the highlight won't stick, it just flashes and leaves the first selected image highlighted. I have to wait around 30 seconds before the highlight sticks and I can tick the images for importing. I don't know what the app is trying to do at this time, but this didn't occur in 14.x and whilst doesn't seem like a major issue it still has an impact on my work flow. Steps: Click ImportClick Untick AllSelect first image I want to importSelect last image (holding shift) in the series I want to import Highlight won't stickWait 30 secondsSelect last image (holding shift) in the series I want to import Highlight sticksPress spacebar to tickClick ImportHURRAH! Once it's finished with this silliness, I can open Import and it'll be responsive as normal. If I eject the SD card and re-insert it'll do the same 30 seconds of it doing 'some
Un point d'exclamation s'est installé dans la racine de deux de mes dossier. possible de comprendre d'ou vient ce problème?D'avance merci ?
This is a new bug. It worked in LrC v14 (and all versions before that for the last 10 years or so). I am running LrC v 15.0.1 on Windows 11. I have checked File -> Library Filters -> Remember Each Source's Filter Separately. (Also "Enable Filters and "Lock filters" are checked). I am usine various filters for individual folders. What happens is that LrC sometimes remebers the filter, but sometimes the filter is overriden by another one from a previously viewed folder (as if "Remember ... Separately" was unchecked) Steps to reproduce (on my PC at least):Folder 1: Set some Filter 1Go to Folder 2: Set different Filter 2Go back to Folder 1: The Filter 1 is there as expectedGo back to Folder 2: Now there is unexpectedly Filter 1 as well, instead of Filter 2I am not exactly sure why it sometimes works, but it fails very quickly, so to replicate it is usually enough to just keep switching folders 🙂
Lightroom has worked fine for me for years until last week. Now I cannot import photos. I am working on a Desktop Windows 10. I plug the camera in like usual. I select the photos that I need to import (ensuring they all have the tick). and I click Import. And the bar opens up but no progress happens. I left it all night and nothing came in. I can manually cancel the import, and when I do it says "No photos or videos were found to import." I have tried the following: - Restarting the computer - copying the images to a hard drive and importing from there (same problem happens this way too). below is a screen shot of where it gets "stuck." {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
I have tried the following and issue persists:1. Restart computer / lightroom2. Restore default lightroom settings / preferences3. Uninstall lightroom CC, Restart PC, Install Lightroom CC, Restart PC4. Update GPU driver5. Disable GPU acceleration6. Create new lightroom catalog I am not sure where the error log file is located since there was a error prompt and it seemed to have uploaded to Adobe directly
Hey Folks, I'm trying to determine the official line on whether you can store photos on a NAS and import them to your Lightroom CC catalog. You'd think this would be a simple enough question, but no... Some users say you can, while others appear to have constant issues. If you contact Adobe support, they will tell you the answer is NO; you cannot store images on a NAS and import them to your LR Classic catalog. However, the LR Classic FAQ (here) states, "Can I store or share a catalog on a network? No, you can't store catalogs on a network, but you can store or share your photos on a network." If you point this FAQ out to Adobe support, their response is a frankly ridiculous claim that by "network," they actually mean "cloud." Now, I ask you, what company that runs a gigantic cloud storage service would suddenly decide to refer to it as a "network" instead of a cloud in a support FAQ? There's no way this FAQ was ever written to mean that.
Hello,I’m a real estate photographer, and I usually rename my files using my name after uploading them. I have to do this manually every time, and sometimes I make mistakes when I forget. How can I set it as the default? Right now, it uses the capture time by default.Additionally, the biggest issue is that Denoise in the background still hasn’t returned after the latest update, which I’m quite disappointed about. Please update me about both issues if possible. Thanks
