Lightroom Classic

Hi All, I've updated to the latest version of Adobe Lightroom Classic. When I swap to different tools (mask, crop, Develop), a box shows up at the bottom that I'm calling "Subtitles" because I have no idea what they are called. How do I turn it off?  Below is an image of what I'm talking about. 

Hi,   Since just now, I've been experiencing a weird bug / crash in Lightroom Classic (on a Mac), where ALL my photos suddenly are fully covered in artefacts in the Develop module.   (Screengrab from the Develop module in Lightroom Classic)   When I check the linked RAW + JPEG source files in Finder, they all seem ok (they don't look corrupted, nor show any artefacts here), meaning the issue is within Lightroom.   (Screengrab from the RAW source file in Finder)   When I export images out of Lightroom (with any setting, edited or even not edited), the artefacts are also present on the export files.   (Screengrab from the exported JPG image)   This problem started occuring soon after I applied the new AI noise reduction feature on just ONE (1) photo.    I already tried:   Closing and re-opening Lightroom Shutting down (fully), and restarting the computer after 1 minute Switching the GPU accelrator setting in Lightroom on/off MY

What in the heck is happenning with the new LR upgrade?  It crashes after I sync two to three images and I can't "unflag" a flagged image by using the u button?!!!  It just angrily beeps at me...Anyone else experiencing this?!

Hi!  I have a LR catalogue (saved on an external hard drive) that opens on my laptop but when opened in LR on my desktop says files cannot be found.  Both LR are up to date.  I have done this multiple times where I edit on both devides and this is the first time I've had this issue.  Not quite sure why it won't open on the desk top!  Any ideas?

Hi all- I am brand new to LR and have successfully downloaded all of my pictures to LR only to find that they are all blurry/pixelated when viewing in the main window of my library, which renders them useless to me.  Any suggestions on how to fix this or why this might be happening?  I have the latest version of LR CC and Windows 10.Thank you for any help you can offer!

In the print module of LR Classic ver 14.5.1, when I check the box "Identity Plate", nothing shows up in the viewer box below it and at the same time my rulers disapear from the top and left side of the editing area. I can right click in the Identity Plate viewer box and my edited plates list shows and I can choose any of them but nothing shows up. If I uncheck the "Identity Plate" option, the rulers come back.  Is this a new bug? I have used Lightroom since version 1 or 2. I'm on an updated PC running Windows 11. I have closed/ opened Lightroom, also updated, several times. I have rebooted the PC a few times.  This just happened for the first time today after the latest LrC update. Thanks everyone!

Hello All, First time posting on this forum. I'm not sure when this happened, but lately (and most notably) since the AI Denoise was introduced, all of my images have excessive noise in them.  I shoot with a Nikon D850 and Nikon Z8 so the sensor is well adapted to not introduce noise.  I just finished a shoot at an outdoor event with plenty of sunshine and the shadows seem to have excessive noise.  Certainly I can run the AI Denoise feature (which works fantastic), but when selecting multiple images to run it, it becomes painfully slow.  Has anybody else noticed this and is there a fix when importing? 

Have had absolutely no success in fixing LRCv15. Since installing v15 one week ago LR is essentially unusable. Have incorporated all recommendations suggested in this forum other than reinstallation of v15 with no improvement. As with others in this forum, performance is slow that I can not use LR. My question now is could syncing be the problem? Just noticed that there are approximately 1,300 files waiting to be downloaded to my PC. I have no memory of ever setting up syncing.  Should I do somethinig specific regarding syncing?  Thanks for any information, getting deserprate here!

PROBLEM:   Let's say the catalog is in a folder called "Cat A".   Also in that same folder is a subfolder (we'll call "Images") that contain images known to LrC.     If the "Cat A" folder is hidden in the Folders panel and you rename the catalog (to say "Cat B"), including renaming the parent folder for the catalog, everything works as it should.  The parent folder for the catalog becomes "Cat B", the catalog files/folders are renamed "Cat B", and the "Images" folder is still linked.   However,  If the "Cat A" folder is exposed (show parent of "Images"), and you do the same catalog rename including the parent folder, the renaming of the catalog and its parent folder work fine but both the "Images" folder and its parent folder (still "Cat A" in the folders panel) go missing.   DESIRED: When you perform a catalog rename and include renaming the folder containing the catalog, it should fix the links of all images and subfolders in or desce

I bought a new laptop 6 weeks a go, since getting this laptop I have had nothing but issues and they all seem to link to  LR classic. When editing photos, it would lock up/freeze 6, 7, 8 times a night and needed to be rebooted each time. This caused a lot of frustration. I tried everything I could think of, clean reinstall of windows (several times) upgrading all apps and drivers but nothing would fix it... Until I decided to turn off the GPU in LR preference window (which was set to Auto). All the issues stopped and no reduction in speed of processing.   Can someone please tell me why???      (Specs -   U7 Processor, 64 Gb ram, Nvidia RTX5060 GPU and Gen 5 M.2 drive. )

The installation was not interrupted and seemed to be successful.Please see attached screen capture. Three different folders with "!", each at a different level.The lowest level folder "Properties" was the one I was working on previous to the upgrade.When I r-click and select Update Folder Location and use "choose", LRC goes to the correct folder location. But nothing happens, and the exclamation points remain. This is true for trying to update location for all of the 3 folders.I have not renamed or moved any folders or photos. I have not used synchronize.The photos are on the Mac, not an external drive. I do not store photos on the Apple iCloud or Adobe Creative Cloud. In the LRC Backup folder, I do have a zipped file from 4 days ago. When prompted at closing, I have not saved any backups since I've had this problem.I tried signing out and signing in to LRC. No difference.I have not tried uninstalling and re-installing LRC.Is there something I should try with the 4 day old backup that

I have been using Lightroom Classic for a while now. Just recently I have noticed that when I attempt to create a mask of, say, a background in a photo to darken the exposure of the background, the entire photo gets adjusted, not just the background. In this photo, I don't want to adjust the exposure of the people, but when making a mask of the background and adjusting the exposure to darken it, these players get darkened too. I have checked that only the background is showing in the color overlay. I'm not sure if this is a me issue, or a bug in my program. Any suggestions is welcome.  Thank you!

My "set rating" is not working in Lightroom Classic. I am up to date, the catalog has been optimized.  I select some photos in the library, hit "2" to give the selected photos 2 stars. The "Set Rating" bar shows up in the upper left corner of the screen like it is showing me the progress, but it never moves. I click on it and it says "waiting".    Same for setting color...nothing happens.  If I just select 1 image, i can't set the rating either.    I don't sync my photos to the cloud, everything local.   Please help!    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Hello,I have upgraded to Lightroom Classic 15 today and most of the times switching to full screen mode ("F" key when in Develop mode) shows a blurred low-resolution version of the image.It does not seem to happen when in Library mode, in fact, as a workaround, I switch to Library, move to full screen, then back to Develop and get the high-res version of the image.Very annoying

Lightroom Classic....Don't talk to someone while you are adding keywords. I thought I was "Select All" in "Previous Import" but I selected all in the entire catalogue, 196,000 images. Now "autumn" has been added to every image, negating all of the previously truly autumn keyworded images. I immediately tried "Undo" but that simply unselected all. Is there a way to edit actions by date such as "Most Recent" keywords which I could delete? I have saved a backup catalog not too long ago but obviously if I revert to using the old one, I will have to re-import and re-keyword many images added since. THANKS!

For some reason, the preset amount slider works only for some user presets. On the left the preset amount slider works perfectly fine, however on the right, the slider is greyed out and not usable. No clue what it could be. I am using LRC v 11.4.1 on Windows 11 Pro version 21H2.  

[I am on the most current version of Lightroom Classic.]When I import my photos taken with a Nikon Z 6III into LrC, some of my sliders are consistently adjusted. An example is an increase in saturation.  I think I want everything to start with all the sliders at zero.  I have one custom present for lens correction.  Is it the Profile I am selecting in Develop?  So, 1) What is causing the automatic adjustments? 2) How do I get rid of them? 3) What Profile should I be using to start in the Develop Module?Thanks.

Running the latest MacOS with LR 15.0,  I edited a new gallery. Tried to delete and remove some rejected photos, Could not do it bulk, so I individually removed as well as deleted some; both seemed to work. Then edited the remaining photos. Exported jpegs successfully. then went to close Lightroom. It said I needed to pick a new backup folder. I retried,  then tried to pick a new folder. it errored out and closed LR. I reopened,  did another backup, and thought I successfuly created new backup.  but upon reopening again all the removed photos were back. Blank spots for the deleted photos were back. And all my edits are gone.  Then I just updated to the LR 15.0.1 but the gallery is still not showing any edits etc?  Was this a bug that was fixed?  have I lost all those edits?

I am an editor for another photographer and I receive the catalog with Smart Previews. Last Saturday, we photographed an event together, and when he tried to send me the catalog, the following message appeared: 'Lightroom encountered problems reading this photo.'I already tried storing it on the C: drive, moved it to the 😧 SSD, and nothing solved it. Is anyone else experiencing this?LR Version: V15.0 

I went to go and use AI noise reduction today in Lightroom Classic on my mac and all it does is come up with a loading box saying "applying denoise" with a loading bar then disappears without doing anything. After doing this once, it won't let me apply ai denoise again or to any other photos without restarting and still it doesn't do anything to the photos. The same goes for Raw details and super resolution. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I don't use AI denoise super often but I want my product to actually work

  Since I updated LrC to version 14.0.1, I can't play videos in library mode any more. Lightroom crashes every time I click on a video.  (MacBook Pro, Intel), MAC OS 15.0.1, short video from iPhone 12 mini. I have sent an error report to Adobe each time and had my system checked each time (no incompatibilities were found).   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Bonjour, Il pourrait être intéressant de savoir comment Lightroom travail pendant la retouche, je veux dire par la, dans le traitement d'une photo, le Processeur est important ainsi que la carte graphique et la mémoire RAM.Mais qui est le plus utilisé pendant le traitement ? Est le Processeur ou bien la carte graphique et dans quel rapport ? La question peut parraitre peu pertinante, mais, elle permettrait de mieux apréhender l'optimisation du matériel (de mon point de vue).Je précise que pour l'instant que  je n'ai trouvé aucune réponse à ma question. 

hallo,seit dem ich mein lightroom/photoshop abo von monatlich auf jahresabo umgestellt habe bekomme ich jedes mal nach dem start von lrc diese fehlermeldung:"wir können den status ihres abos nicht überprüfen!"ich muss mich dann jedes mal abmelden und wieder anmelden, damit lrc läuft. kennt jemand das problem oder hat eine anlaufstelle bei adobe für mich?vielen dank im vorauslightroom classic v15.0.1, mac os 26.0.1 

Hi All,It's painfully slow to use after upgrading from win10 to win11. Especially the masking. When LR is running, even typing in the browser is slow, it completely takes up the PC, if LR and PS are running at the same time, the computer freezes. There were no problems when using Win10.All drivers updated manually.??
