When I try to back up my catalog, I get the message as shown below:
Hi guys, I'm a real estate photographer and I'm having a really annoying problem that I dont know how to solve. I work with bracketing, natural light, and no flash and I have a Canon R50, I normally take photos with 3 stops (-3, 0, +3) to merge into lightroom and generate HDR image, perhaps I dont thing that Lightroom is working well with my photos when merged. Here are my 3 bracketing photos: And above is the result of the hdr merge (I always uncheck the auto adjustments option): I don't think that is correct at all, because when i see people doing this in tutorials, the result of the merging is almost perfect and the photo just need minimal adjustments, but in my case, the photo is extremely dark, with no window information and i'm having so much work to make this photos look good. And this happens always, doesn't matter the weather, the light in the houses, the light outside the windows, the merging looks always awful. Am I doing something wrong? Just f
The new update hangs, just showing the hints. I neither want, nor care about the hints, so why are they part of the update???Furthermore, as the only option is to close with the Task manager, I'm stuck. Also, despite paying Adobe £700 per year, every year, we are unable to express any annoyance whatsoever, and our posts are deleted. I expect help, not self-importance and over zealous reactions.
So I have the following code with catalog:findPhotoByUUid() always returning nil. I have the code in a task and I've treble checked iid to be a correct uuid from photo.localIdentifier. It always returns nil and I can't for the life of me see why. Any thoughts appreciated. ```local iid = 7195703local ppp = catalog:findPhotoByUuid( tostring(iid) ) -- ppp always nil ```
When I hover with mouse above a Slider, and use the Keyboard up/down arrows to adjust its value, and once happy with the value press Cmd+C, confirm the fields to be copied by pressing Ok, move to the next image and press Cmd+V, all Settings of the previous image are copied, except the last made change with the Keyboard. The isse is identical if I use a plugin to change the value. Like the Elgato Streamdeck Plugin by SideshowFX, that makes a call to the SDK function LrDevelopController.increment(key) or LrDevelopController.setValue(key, value) to change the value. The behaviour is exactly the same. The last value is not copied, but the value done one step earlier is. For instance, if I adjust Temperature, and then Brightness, followed by a Copy+Paste action, the Brightness value change will be ignored, but the Temperature change will be copied. If I however use the mouse to make the Change by using the Slider, Copy and Paste works as expected.&n
Hi!In LightRoom Development, does erasing the history and resetting the settings remove the denoising previously done?Merci
When I create a mask and pick "object," then identify the object using either the brush or rectangle, I get random blotches that have nothing to do with anything in the photo. Subject masking works fine. I've tried a lot of things already: updating LR to 15.0, reinstalling it, deleting the cache file, creating a new catalog and experimenting with a photo in that, resetting preferences, etc. ChatGPT says I'm supposed to get a message that it's downloading AI files and I haven't seen that. Nor do I see the files in the Cache folder that it says should be there.
Hello, I want to edit a photo from Lightroom Classic in Photoshop 2025, but I get an error message: Catch in IPhotoshopApplication, exception encountered: Invalid Offline Resources path. What is the solution for this? Lately I used CCleaner 7 to remove duplicate files, and I suspect that this may have caused the issue. When I tried to restore the removed files I got the message I'm not allowed to restore the files?
Hello,I’m experiencing a serious issue with missing GPS data in my main Lightroom Classic catalog.I have around 40,000 travel photos in my primary catalog, and I always try to fill in GPS coordinates for each image. At some point, I noticed that many photos had lost their GPS metadata. Unfortunately, I can’t determine exactly when this happened. My catalog contains various file types:DNG and HEIC files from iPhone, from which I usually copy coordinates to RAW files.DNG files from DJI drones, which originally contain GPS data.I discovered that:In some photos, the GPS data was completely erased from the files. In others, the GPS data still exists in the files, but Lightroom no longer displays it.When I use the “Read Metadata from File” command, the GPS data reappears — however, all tags and editing adjustments are lost as a result.Recently, I worked in a separate catalog where I filled in GPS data for a folder of images. Then I imported that catalog into my main one and continued editing a
Hello. I select a group of photos I've scanned - go to: Metadata / Edit capture time - I change the date ('Adjust to a specific date and time' is chosen under 'Type of adjustment') click change, but only some change to that new date. I think the ones that aren't changing are from a previous scan. I'm sure I haven't had this problem before.
This is a feature I used to use a lot within Lightroom 5, in the grid view, I used to select all the photos I wanted to apply it to, right click, Develop, then find my preset and apply it.This seems to either have moved or gone from Lightroom CC?Here's a screenshot of what I mean...If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.P.S I don't want to use sync as that's not exactly what I'm after which other people have suggested.
From time to time, inconsistently, LR Classic does not recognize new image files that have been added to a folder full of previously imported images. Here is an example:1. Conduct a photo session and import images into LR.2. After culling, edit in PS, then in Evoto. 3. Export from Evoto INTO THE ORIGINATING FOLDER, which is the folder in step 1. 4. I can clearly see the new Evoto files in the folder.5. Attempt to Import the new file into the folder and LR does not see it. Things I have tried that have not worked: 1. Export from Evoto again with a new name2. Exit LR and restart it3. Check security/privacy permissions on the folder4. Reboot my machine AGAIN, this is not a consistent problem. I can go for a good amount of time being able to import the Evoto files into the LR library. But then sometimes, like today, even after having imported other Evoto files into this LR folder, LR does not see a new Evoto file. Any ideas? Alll I
What was once an easy process to import thousands of photos over a decade has now turned into confsuion, cokplexity and a waste of time. Adobe sucks, any suggestions for alt software? Thank you. Neal
LRC 14.5.1Mac Studio M2 MaxOS Sequoia 15.6.1 Sometimes, when I try to drag a shared folder into LR for import, I'm used to the raws being the selected files, however, recently I've been faced with a mixture of raws or jpgs in the sequence. E.g. importing 4 images which were all captured in jpg + raw, import selection may give me "DSC_1001.jpg, DSC_1002.NEF, DSC_1003.NEF, DSC_1004.jpg". I'm also having an issue when I drag in a shared folder, that has already been imported previously, now wanting to import jpgs from the previously imported sequence of raws imported. Example image below.
This problem has reappeared in my printing process so I thought I would reach out to see if anyone can help/explain what is going on. To see the effect I am getting, I open a jpg image in ColorSync Utility, and select a Canon Pro Lustre profile. In the action drop down (Match/Apply/Assign) I choose 'Apply Profile' and the image looks fine.If I then select 'Assign Profile' the image comes out desaturated and flat. It's the latter effect that I am getting when printing from Lightroom and Photoshop. If I print from Canon's Professional Print Layout software, I get the 'Apply Profile' effect. The problem manifests itself originally with Fotospeed papers/profiles, but in the ColorSync utility it doesn't seem to matter which profile you test, the difference between Apply/Assign remains. Apart from 'use Canon's software', any thoughts on this?
I'm having a problem using catalog:withWriteAccessDo() in a function attached to an adjustment change observer. Here is a code fragment from my plugin local function resetMykey( observer ) local writeAccessStatus local catalog = LrApplication.activeCatalog() local photo = catalog:getTargetPhoto() if nil ~= photo and not catalog.hasWriteAccess then -- gets here writeAccessStatus = catalog:withWriteAccessDo( 'Reset mykey', function( context ) -- doesn't do this photo:setPropertyForPlugin( _PLUGIN, 'mykey', nil ) end, { timeout = 15 } ) -- and never gets here end end ... LrDevelopController.addAdjustmentChangeObserver( context, Observer, resetMykey ) When a setting is changed in the Develop modue, the function resetMykey executes as expected. It gets to the line with catalog:withWriteAccessDo, indicated by my comment gets here, but it doesn't execute the withWriteAccessDo function and therefore, doesn't execute the photo:se
Not sure why this has suddenly started happening when I try to open Lightroom Classic. Even when all other apps/programmes have been shut down I keep getting this error message and it refuses to open. Running latest version of LRC on Win 10 Pro Any help gratefully received!
I utilize Virtual Copies non-stop with my sports photography. I must have accidently changed a settings as I can not get them to appear now. It looks like they are being created but then nothing appears when finished. No stacking is turned onI have clicked on the filters Original Photo and Virtual Copy (see attached photos) and this doesn't seem to help in any compination I create.I closed and opened Lightroom ClassicI restarted my computerI restarted and reset my preferences. I am sure it is something simple, but I am stuff. Please help if you can.

Hi!After reducing the noise in a photo, how do I revert to the original photo? Thanks
Hi all. I have developed images in LR Classic 15.0 and would like to share them with a few people. I'm aware they will need an HDR screen. It works in both Safari and Chrome if I export as a RAF (Fuji RAW) but the detail is quite poor. Maybe it's using an embedded JPG preview of some sort? So I'm trying to export as another file type.I've tried AVIF and JPG XL and with each file type I've checked the 'HDR Output' box in the export dialogue. No joy. Nothing I try shows the HDR image using ether Safari or Chrome.I saw some of Greg Benz stuff and tried ecpporting as DNG but that didn't work either.Any ideas? I can do it using Google Photos but it isn't nearly as nice an interface so I'd like to stick to Lightroom Web Gallery if I possibly can. Thanks in advance.

I have done all the settings which i read in many post here. Still finding the same ptoblem as this eas stated in this post https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/photo-switching-performance-in-develop-mode-is-slow/td-p/14439290
Good morning, I am using an M4 MacBookPro with a Wacom One Tablet. At the moment, when I am brushing to add/subtract to a mask using the tablet and pen, if I then use the laptop's trackpad it alters the size of the brush. Is there any way I can change the setting so that any movement on the trackpad moves the image - like in Photoshop when refining a mask? Many thanks in advance. Kind regards, Paul
