Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Description: When adjusting certain parameters like Texture on a mask, it would be helpful if Lightroom could provide an additional option to apply the effect gradually near the edges of the selected subject. This would help prevent the subject from becoming overly blurred. For example, when reducing texture on a person’s face, the current implementation applies the adjustment uniformly across the entire masked area. This causes the facial contours to become flat and lose definition. Since Lightroom already has the ability to detect subjects, it should also be able to recognize the edges. Why is this valuable to you? If we could apply adjustments in a gradient fashion toward the edges, it would save a lot of time manually refining masks.

There is no option to disable the function of "Eject Memory Card after Import" for Lightroom CC (not Lightroom CC classic). How could I solve it?

The Lightroom Desktop sliders are incredibly difficult to activate. The "hot spot" appears unreasonably tiny. I find myself unable to grab and move the sliders. I do NOT have this problem with Lightroom Classic. I appreciate the more modern UI of version 8.4 over version 14.4; however, the usability has taken a serious step backwards. Please offer a setting to more closely similate the slider responsiveness in the older Classic version.  

On the desktop version of Lightroom CC I (and many other photographers I know) use batch rating and flagging to select a large amount of keepers or reject photos I might later want to delete. This works by selecting multiple images and than pressing the corresponding number (0-5) to star, p to pick, x to reject and u to unflag. As the promise of the iPad was to be a professional working device it would immensely speed up my workflow. I don't think this would require any change in the UI (because most of us use Lightroom with a keyboard), although adding a star bar and flags would make it easy for the touch users as well. Batch keywording and metadata editing would help with the organization of the photos and one could easily correct a time delay if the camera wasn't set up properly. This would definitely need new buttons in the UI, but I think it's worth it in the long run.

Hi there,   I've had various problems creating masks using Subject, Sky, Landscapes, and more on Lightroom Mobile on Mac, and it won't export.  It tells me that the masks need to be updated, and there's NO OPTION to update the mask.    Manually rebuilding masks is painstaking and I'd really prefer for the program to recompute things and I'd make minor tweaks.  Please fix this in the next update!   Thank you. 🙂   Details:   macOS 15.4.1 Adobe Lightroom 8.4 (Mobile) 

I'm unable to find the number of images in an Album. Correction: the number of pictures in an album appears at the bottom after scrolling to the last thumbnail.  (This is a bug; it should be displayed next to the Album name.)   This is valuable to me because I want to see the number of images in an album when the album name is displayed.     {Moved to Ideas by moderator}

In Lightroom CC I can only share albums. I like this option, but I need it also for folders. At the moment I export all photos for my clients to Dropbox. They have permission to see specific folder with the folders (albums) for events inside.For example:Client 1- Event 1- Event 2- Event 3Client 2- Event 4- Event 5Client 3- Event 1- Event 4When I have the option to share folders in Lightroom I can cancel my activity in Dropbox, because in Lightroom CC I can change something on the photos an my clients will see this change without extra export. For this it would be also necessary to have one photo in more than one album.

As someone who uses adapted lenses on my GFX it is becoming extremely inconventient that I cannot manually select a lens form the optics menu on iPad. I have to open the same image on my Android phone and select the lens manually there. I should have at least the same capability on a powerful tablet like an iPad Pro.

I have installed the new lightroom cc in my windows pc recently, i like the integration between the different platforms.But either i'm missing something or it is missing. I can'f find a slideshow in the desktop version of this version of lightroom, in the classic and android version it is readily available, but i can't find it in the desktop version. Is this feature missing?

Lightroom Classic allows filtering by photos with snapshots.   Lighroom should allow filtering by photos with versions.     This wll allow Lr to match the feature of LrC.     Thx  

It will be good function of Lightroom If It will be possible to convert RAW photo to JPG without exporting to file system out of application. I am using Lightroom for photo management there really missed this functionality. I have really many photos in RAW format, but It could be fine to convert them to small JPG, because of just looking on them on phone or tablet in small quality. I have to export them to small JPG, after that remove original RAW photo and import them again in JPG to Lightroom, that is stupid. 

The latest smartphones are equipped with multiple cameras so for photographers they are a bit like having a DSLR with interchangeable lenses.  I just acquired one with telephoto and ultrawide lenses in addition to the default wide lens.   With the PRO mode of the phone's built-in camera app, it is perfectly possible to select a lens/camera and capture RAW files (DNG format) for editing later in Lightroom.   However with the camera included in Lighroom Mobile, you can only use one default lens.  To fully exploit the phone hardware and the nice features of the Lightroom camera, it would be really good to be able to select any one of the available physical cameras/lenses.  I appreciate that this might mean manufacturer-specifice code in Lightroom but it could be worth exploring what is possible to enhance the interest of the Lightroom camera with the latest phones. [I only have experience of Android phones but I have tagged this post for i

Hi! any chance lightroom mobile can allow push notifications just like any other app when there has been activity on the photos/videos? I'd like to get notified when someone likes a photo. Seems like a nobrainer. For people who dont like it, they can still turn it off within the settings of the phone. thanks

I primarily shoot analog film photography and have used software like SmartConvert, Negative Lab Pro, FilmLab, and VueScan to all first invert and normalize RAW files from my camera before importing into Lightroom.  This is extremely wasteful and time consuming as the Lossless Compressed RAW files from my camera being re-saved into a de-moasiced TIFF increases the file size 4-5x, then to only re-import into Lightroom for final color adjustments, grading, dust removal, and sharpening.   I have attempted many times to do all of this editing within Lightroom and Photoshop but because my photos are inverted to begin with almost all of the controls become backwards, ex: exposure, contrast, white balance.   A feature in which I could apply a set of masks and edits, and then "flatten" those changes then continue editing with further edits being "stacked" on top of the previous ones would save me over an hour of time when I scan more than 4 rolls of film at once.

I'm probably at the low end of the prosumer category when it comes to photography. I've been using Lightroom for a couple of years. I love the multiple platform feature on the new CC, but geotagging images has always been important for me (enough so that onboard GPS is a mandatory feature when I look for a camera). I had been adding locations to older images in what's now CC Classic. Are we going to get that ability in the new CC? Even more importantly, will the new AI-based search allow us to do things like pull pictures based on location? And, if so, will we be able to do things like define a radius? This was all possible when we had the maps panel, but seems to be challenging now.

Using my iPad I am trying to edit the capture date of a photo I scanned I scanned on my Mac. Is this possible? I don’t see where to to this.ThanksMonty

Currently even the shortest drag on an image in the grid view will trigger the "reordering" operation (where the blue line appears to indicate where you want to place the image. Not only is this function too easy to call accidentally (especially when using a trackpad where accidental touches can register as a click/drag), but once it is called, it's unintuitive to cancel without consequences (you need to drag the image to an area where it doesn't allow you to drag an image to, such as the top bar). If you try to drag the image back to where it was (which feels more intuitive), you're punished by the sort order switching to Custom Order, and you then have to go back and set the sort order back to what you had.   tl;dr: the sort order should only change from a click/drag operation if the image is actually dragged to a new position, and not when it's dragged back to its original position.

I have been using the new Adobe Denoise feature introduced in the last update.  I really like it because it does not create a separate file.  However recently I tried to post a picture to the community option in Lightrom Cloud and I get the message:   Unable to share your Edit Your photo contains edits currently unsupported in Community • Denoise   Is this a temporary issue that is known and will be addressed?    

I am facing a issues with my Lightroom app.I don't find search tab in me community preset section in my Iphone. But there is no such issue in my Android. I have attached screenshot of this issue of both ios and android   Please help me to solve out this issue

I would like to use Adobe Cloud as emergency, 4th redundant, offsite backup solution. I do have the 1TB plan, but that is not enough for my RAW files, I don't want to pay more and I don't have the upload capacity for that anyway.   What is realistic is pushing lossy compressed dngs to the cloud, as a last resort they still have great quality  and are very small and quick enough to upload with my slow third world (Germany) connection.   The current system is very cumbersome to use, I have to duplicated my photos into lossy dng, have them recognized with LR classic so it won't redownload them and upload them with LR CC. In the end all my photos are there twice in Classic and the cloud, showing up double when I search for things. No sync between original files and lossy backup. It's just not practical.   What would be practical would be an option to chose how to sync per collection, if it should upload the originals, smart previews, lossless dng or lossy dng. Like LR C

With Instagram allowing 4:3 Posts and adjusting the grid accordingly, being able to use the framing function when exporting from Lightroom Mobile to add a 4:3/3:4 frame would be awesome. Currently it supports 4:5, but not me new format.
