Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I recently took a bunch of exposure bracketed shots and now I'm merging them together into HDR photos. Doing one is very straightforward (select all 3 and then Ctrl + Shift + H), but then I have to wait 35 seconds (I timed it) for the merge to complete and the interface to become responsive again. When I have a hundred HDR photos to produce, this takes an inordinate amount of time, where 95% of it is just waiting. I know Lightroom Classic already has batch processing options. Can we please get it in Lightroom Cloud?   Better yet, could Lightroom just detect it on import? The procedure I follow to find my bracketed shots is very straightforward. Just find a group of 3 pics that have identical composition where the last one is overexposed and all were taken within 1 second of each other. I'd be happy to specify certain parameters, such as that all HDR merges should be made of 3 shots because that's how I always set my bracketing.

The People option in masking available in web browser in laptop/desktop isn't available in my ipad or mobile device. Would be more helpful if that feature is also included in other devices.

Why is the mouse scroll wheel still scroll up/down? Why can't we just set it to zoom in Lightroom CC? I have NEVER needed to scroll an image up and down only. Having the wheel quickly zoom in and out while dragging to pan is the most natural thing to me. Am I the only one that thinks the scroll wheel should be default zoom in any image editor / viewer application?

When shooting straight down, the tilt meter comes in handy. When trying to get the camera flat with no distortion, it shows tilt from left to right. But it doesn’t show tilt up and down. In other words, when the lens is perfectly flat, the reading of the tilt meter should register in 2 ways. This is the tilt meter from the Pro Camera app. Easy to see when the camera is flat and the V + H colors align: 

The default sharpening is 40% for anything shot with the LR camera. It would be great to be able to adjust this. I can set the import sharpening level for anything shot with the phone camera app or a 3rd party app, but not the LR camera.  One thing I'd like to know is that if the photo has increased sharpening in the Develop mode, is any output sharpening added to this amount? If so, a good reason set a default low or off for the camera.

The method of changing lenses would be simpler/faster with 3 different buttons, and not the one that I have to press/toggle through. Floating down a stream in a kayak trying to get a quick shot would be so much better not having to go through the lenses. I almost never shoot Ultra Wide, so that as a choice just slows down the process. And the shot floats away.

The shoot through Pro profiles (esp. the High Contrast B+W) are a great feature. It would be helpful if they could be user-modified/created. That way users could add the effects/adjustments they want to be their shooting defaults.

Imagine a scenario: I have tonnes of gallery folders in my lightroom account that i have accumulated over many years and I need to look for a photo of a person that i know I had taken a photo of some time back. I have a photo that I see online of that person, if I can download as a sample and use it in my Lighroom photo search to find the same face of the person that I have in my gallery - this would be a great feature, esp. for those of us who get last minute request for a personal photo.

Hi at all!  I would like to propose to extend the voting and culling features for the LR online selection.  Synchronization with the cloud works most of the time perfectly fine and it is very easy to get customer feedback on your projects through likes and comments. However the functionality is limited to only those 2 options. It would be tremendously beneficial if there is a similar set of functions for the clients available in the public panel which is shared with the customers. Also the possibilty for filtering and advanced culling would help customers quite a bit if they have to reduce their selection. I am not sure on how the core mechanics are working with the synchronization, but I assume it should be possible to match meta-data with the shared portal. I'll attach a screenshot on how this could look like. 

I'd like to see LR Classic-like plugin support for things such as https://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies or https://www.negativelabpro.com/Primarily on Desktop, but if you can do it on Mobile and Web somehow, more power to ya. I know this past thread was marked as solved:https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-ideas/p-3rd-party-plugin-support-for-lightroom-desktop/idi-p/12355007 but it was really only for the round trip feature of editing raw files. Searching on  here is difficult so if an existing request exists, my apologies.

I believe the filter options need to be greatly expanded upon in Lightroom. Currently, the Filter options are:   Let me explain -- I do a lot of batch editing due to the nature of my photo work. In Lightroom, when filtering images, the "Edited?" filter currently only includes "yes" or "no". While I can think of several reasons and ways to expand, an example of how this impacts my typical workflow is that images that have been rotated are included in the "yes" filter, implying that "yes, this image has been edited".   I imagine the Filter options expanding to include many specific functions, relatively simliar to those we are able to choose when Copying Edits on an image. Here's that Copy Edits options menu -- imagine if when you wanted to Filter large batches of images, a similiar set of options appeared: Imagine being able to filter by if an image had the remove function used, or not. I have not found a way to search for FOLDER names, or ALBUM names in the new Lightroom CC. If a person has nested folders or nested albums there should be a way to search for keywords in the folder or album names.

With the advanced possibilities of generative AI it would be awesome and relatively easily to have a tool/feature in Lightroom that automatically generates and fills in the blown-out parts of the highlights and/or lowlights in a picture. Blown out skies and textures in dark areas could be generated quite easily. Thus having fewer "failed" photos when exposure was set incorrectly. 

I am requesting an import filter in lightroom mobile in order to see which fotos have NOT been imported from my mobile device into lightroom. Currently I see all pictures including the ones which have been imported already 

I regularly share Lightroom Mobile albums using the “Copy Link” option, then paste those links into Apple Mail or Messages. Until recently, these links generated a rich preview card with the album’s thumbnail image. This was extremely useful for recipients — it provided a visual cue, improved engagement, and made the link more attractive. As of sometime after April 30, 2024, this behavior changed. Now the same type of Lightroom share link (adobe.ly/...) only generates a generic Adobe Photoshop Lightroom card with a blue background and "Lr" logo, no album image. Steps to reproduce:1. I am a professional wedding photographer and I use Lightroom on my tablet primarily for culling large numbers of images. While I truly appreciate the convenience of Lightroom Mobile/Tablet, I’ve noticed two aspects that significantly slow down my workflow compared to Lightroom on desktop:   Lack of “Auto Next” feature – On Lightroom for desktop, after assigning a flag, star rating, or color label, the software automatically advances to the next image. This greatly speeds up culling. On the tablet version, I need to manually swipe or tap for every image, which is less efficient. Transition animation between images – When moving to the next or previous photo on the tablet, there is a smooth transition effect. While visually pleasant, it delays the instant image change that’s crucial during high-volume culling.     Would it be possible to add the “Auto Next” option and/or an option to disable transition animations in Lightroom Mobile or Tablet? Is there likely to be support for point color on the Lightroom for iPad app any time soon? It's become an integral part of my editing workflow and I was really disappointed to discover it's not available on the iPad app.   If anybody has workarounds, I'd love to hear about them. 

In Lightroom Desktop and in Lightroom Desktop there are 4 location fields: - Sublocation - City - State - Country/Region In Lightroom mobile in iOS version 8.4 (iPad and iPhone) the field Sublocation is missing. According to several help files this field should be there. I hope this field can be added in the next update. Thanks in advance, Peter Vrijlandt

Bonjour ! Ayant acheté un iPad très récemment pour la retouche photo, je trouve mon expérience sur Lightroom cloud vraiment ergonomique mais une chose me chagrine : il est impossible de revenir en arrière après avoir collé des paramètres sur un groupe d'images. C'est malheureux car c'est toute la praticité de l'application à la base. De plus, comparé au Mac, le collage est particulièrement long et accapare toute l'application. Si on veut retirer il faut se pencher sur les images une par une... je me demandais si ce problème était pris en compte et allait être réglé ? Merci beaucoup. 

A common workflow with DLSRs is to copy all photos from the camera to disk/NAS etc. and then add them to a particular Lightroom Cloud Album.This is possible using the "Add Photo to Album" dialog which gives the option to pick to which Album you want it added to.   But... why is the option to "Add Photo to Target Album" missing when adding from Local file storage? this convienient option is there when working on photos already in Cloud....    

Hello, Currently, Lightroom Cloud (Desktop/Mobile/Web) does not allow exporting face recognition data — i.e. the names of identified people — in the metadata of exported files. This issue has been raised in this discussion: Exporting face tag metadata   This is a much-needed feature for many users, for several reasons: Personal or professional archiving with preserved face recognition info. Sharing photos outside Lightroom while keeping a record of who is in them. Interoperability with other tools that can read XMP metadata, such as Lightroom Classic or third-party photo managers. I would like to suggest that Adobe adds an option (as available in Lightroom Classic) to include face tag metadata (people names) in the exported file metadata.
