Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

The latest smartphones are equipped with multiple cameras so for photographers they are a bit like having a DSLR with interchangeable lenses.  I just acquired one with telephoto and ultrawide lenses in addition to the default wide lens.   With the PRO mode of the phone's built-in camera app, it is perfectly possible to select a lens/camera and capture RAW files (DNG format) for editing later in Lightroom.   However with the camera included in Lighroom Mobile, you can only use one default lens.  To fully exploit the phone hardware and the nice features of the Lightroom camera, it would be really good to be able to select any one of the available physical cameras/lenses.  I appreciate that this might mean manufacturer-specifice code in Lightroom but it could be worth exploring what is possible to enhance the interest of the Lightroom camera with the latest phones. [I only have experience of Android phones but I have tagged this post for i

Hi! any chance lightroom mobile can allow push notifications just like any other app when there has been activity on the photos/videos? I'd like to get notified when someone likes a photo. Seems like a nobrainer. For people who dont like it, they can still turn it off within the settings of the phone. thanks

I primarily shoot analog film photography and have used software like SmartConvert, Negative Lab Pro, FilmLab, and VueScan to all first invert and normalize RAW files from my camera before importing into Lightroom.  This is extremely wasteful and time consuming as the Lossless Compressed RAW files from my camera being re-saved into a de-moasiced TIFF increases the file size 4-5x, then to only re-import into Lightroom for final color adjustments, grading, dust removal, and sharpening.   I have attempted many times to do all of this editing within Lightroom and Photoshop but because my photos are inverted to begin with almost all of the controls become backwards, ex: exposure, contrast, white balance.   A feature in which I could apply a set of masks and edits, and then "flatten" those changes then continue editing with further edits being "stacked" on top of the previous ones would save me over an hour of time when I scan more than 4 rolls of film at once.

Using my iPad I am trying to edit the capture date of a photo I scanned I scanned on my Mac. Is this possible? I don’t see where to to this.ThanksMonty

Currently even the shortest drag on an image in the grid view will trigger the "reordering" operation (where the blue line appears to indicate where you want to place the image. Not only is this function too easy to call accidentally (especially when using a trackpad where accidental touches can register as a click/drag), but once it is called, it's unintuitive to cancel without consequences (you need to drag the image to an area where it doesn't allow you to drag an image to, such as the top bar). If you try to drag the image back to where it was (which feels more intuitive), you're punished by the sort order switching to Custom Order, and you then have to go back and set the sort order back to what you had.   tl;dr: the sort order should only change from a click/drag operation if the image is actually dragged to a new position, and not when it's dragged back to its original position.

I have been using the new Adobe Denoise feature introduced in the last update.  I really like it because it does not create a separate file.  However recently I tried to post a picture to the community option in Lightrom Cloud and I get the message:   Unable to share your Edit Your photo contains edits currently unsupported in Community • Denoise   Is this a temporary issue that is known and will be addressed?    

I am facing a issues with my Lightroom app.I don't find search tab in me community preset section in my Iphone. But there is no such issue in my Android. I have attached screenshot of this issue of both ios and android   Please help me to solve out this issue

I would like to use Adobe Cloud as emergency, 4th redundant, offsite backup solution. I do have the 1TB plan, but that is not enough for my RAW files, I don't want to pay more and I don't have the upload capacity for that anyway.   What is realistic is pushing lossy compressed dngs to the cloud, as a last resort they still have great quality  and are very small and quick enough to upload with my slow third world (Germany) connection.   The current system is very cumbersome to use, I have to duplicated my photos into lossy dng, have them recognized with LR classic so it won't redownload them and upload them with LR CC. In the end all my photos are there twice in Classic and the cloud, showing up double when I search for things. No sync between original files and lossy backup. It's just not practical.   What would be practical would be an option to chose how to sync per collection, if it should upload the originals, smart previews, lossless dng or lossy dng. Like LR C

With Instagram allowing 4:3 Posts and adjusting the grid accordingly, being able to use the framing function when exporting from Lightroom Mobile to add a 4:3/3:4 frame would be awesome. Currently it supports 4:5, but not me new format. 

I just wanted to suggest adding a "lock order" function on Lightroom as currently listing order changes around after a HDR merge. The lock order function would also allow you to make changes without changing the order, for example when sorted by star rating, sometimes, I want to sort by that first then add additional stars without them moving around.

The most recent update that moved the "Update Mask Settings" to the sidebar has slowed down my workflow significantly. The tab is too far out of the way and requires an additional click to achieve the desired result. This is especially slower when batch editing photos. I much preferred the popup at the bottom near the filmstrip or even the button in the mask panel.    Thanks!

I would like to request that, as in Lightroom Classic, an option is added in Lightroom Desktop Preferences to not show the splash screen, and perhaps to replace it with your own image.

I have a series of images taken of the same frame with varying focus points. As I work from near to far, focus breathing does it's thing and slightly reframes each image. It would be great if there was a tool to automatically crop multiple images to the same perspective.

Insbesondere die automatischen Portraitmasken für Haut, Haare, Kleidung, Augen und Zähne finde ich extrem hilfreich – allerdings gibt es diese leider nur auf dem iPhone und im Web.   Für professionelle Retusche und unterwegs ist gerade das iPad mit seinem größeren Display und Stiftunterstützung das perfekte Gerät. Es ist daher für mich absolut unverständlich, warum ausgerechnet auf dem iPad diese Funktionen fehlen.   Ich wünsche mir dringend, dass die vollständigen Portraitmasken so bald wie möglich auch für die iPad-Version von Lightroom verfügbar gemacht werden. I've been using Lightroom, especially mobile version, for so long, resulting having tons of presets over the years. Sometimes I set the name randomly, for example: "film 35" and "disposable film". It'd be cool if there's a search button, then I can simply type "film" and all my presets that has "film" name on it, would be listed rather than having to scroll through tons of presets that might not suitable to the photos I'm editing. That'll make editing even faster!

I’d love to see Lightroom mobile include a live preview feature when capturing in DNG. Currently, we can only see the raw image without any visual effect until editing. It would be a huge creative and practical improvement if Lightroom could let us preview how a photo would look with a Lightroom preset or a LUT (look-up table) applied, live while composing the shot.   This feature could include: -Live tone curve preview -Color grading simulation -Preset application preview (especially user-created ones) -Option to bake the look into the photo or keep it as a non-destructive overlay   This would help photographers visualize the final look on-location, save time in post-processing, and make the camera module in Lightroom more powerful for professionals and creatives alike.   Hope this can be considered for a future update. I would like the tutorials that used to be included on the app to be reinstalled.  I pay for the app.  I paid for it because it came with amazing step by step tutorials.  Now it's just “discovering “ other people’s shared images which is of no practical use to me.  Why do away with this feature for those of us who pay for the app?   I'm not interested in paying for the desktop version where apparently the tutorials are now only available as I'm not a professional photographer and the app suits my needs.  Can you not reconsider reintalling this option for paying customers?

My appologies if this is answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.   I have several panoramas that were taken with my Android phone using the panorama mode.  I have edited them in Lightroom and they are saved along with non-panoramas in an album. When I share the album with others, the panorama is displayed in a panorama viewer, screen shot attached  How can I turn off the panorama viewer?  I just want them to see the flat rectangular image, as it appears to me in lightroom.  I cannot find what metadata lightroom is using to decide to display it this way and turn it off.   Help is much appreciated!  Thank you.     {Thread title updated by moderator}

Hello Adobe Team, I would like to request the addition of XMP Profile import functionality in Lightroom Mobile for iOS/iPadOS. Currently, while presets can be imported without any issue, profiles are not supported. This feature is available on the Android version of Lightroom Mobile, and it would be immensely beneficial to have it on iOS as well to ensure feature parity across platforms. Profiles are a crucial part of my editing workflow, and having this capability on iOS would greatly enhance the mobile editing experience. Reviewing photos on mobile is my main use case for the mobile app, but currently the app does not allow you to say in just a review mode if you want to go back to the grid.    I frequently want to star or flag photos, then go back to the grid to go to other photos. Current state the app forces you back into a develop/edit mode, then you have to hit back again to go back to the grid. Then viewing a single photo takes you into develop again, where you have to hit the menu to get back to info and rating mode.    This is a huge slowdown in workflow when just trying to review and not edit photos.    I think they should either be entirely separate modes that you explicitly switch between like desktop, or at a minimum it should stay in the info and rating mode once you enter it and hitting back should take me back to the grid and of I view another photo from the grid it should still be in info and rating until i explicitly switch to an edit mode. 

In the {Photo} menu is a sub menu item called {Auto Advance}. When checked, I assumed it would behave like Auto Advance in Lightroom Classic. And after a fashion it does. If I choose a rating number or a flag hot key, the selected image will Auto advance. In Lightroom Classic you can add an image to the target collection with the hot key "B" and the image selection will auto advance. In Lightroom Desktop, the target album hot key is "T" but pressing that key does not auto advance.  Can Adobe expand the Auto Advance option to include adding an image to the Target Album?

Hi,I'm using the latest cloud-based version of Lightroom (not Classic), and I noticed something that makes no sense from a workflow perspective. When you delete a photo, it goes into the "Deleted" folder with a countdown (e.g., “59 days remaining”) — but Lightroom hides the file name, even though it clearly retains it internally (as it shows up again after restoring). This becomes a real problem: I want to restore a specific image because I know its filename (e.g., DSC_4025.jpg), but I can’t identify it in the deleted folder without restoring everything blindly. For professionals working with large sets, this is a serious limitation — especially when filenames are the only clue to identify files after cleanup. Please consider fixing this: just displaying the filename and maybe basic metadata (like star rating or capture date) in the Deleted section would make a big difference. Thanks.
