I cant zoom in and out by touchpad on my magic keyboard. Please fix it
Please add a setting for the default sort order. Every Lightroom app (Classic or Cloud ecosystem) should have a setting for the default sort order of an album. And every device should stick to this default sort order. I have a sore index finger from constantly changing the sort order in every album on every device.
Would really like the very simple addition of your flagged photos showing that flag while in album view, on android. It's has had this since the beginning. When your in an album, showing all the thumbnails of photos. It's has where if it's flagged rejected, the photo is grayed, and if flagged it shows the tiny white flag on it. Like on the thumbnail. When colming through thousands of photos for an event, on its you can literally see where you left off and jump right in. Android, you must leave album view and go onto a single photo, have info and rating selected, and then just keep scrolling just keep scrolling, until you finally see where rejected stops and you can finally continue. This makes it so time consuming it sometimes literally takes longer to find where I left off than the time I even have available to colm through. Literally, only reason I have an iPad, just this 1 feature, literally questioning on1 route just so I can be done with this.
Please add the ability to scroll through presets in Lightroom using the arrow keys. This would allow for quick and easy previewing of different presets. Example: In Photoshop, you can click on a font and use the arrow keys to scroll through and preview different fonts. Implementing this feature in Lightroom would greatly enhance the preset navigation workflow. Me and my colleagues have been waiting for this feature for years. Can't believe in 2024 we still don't have it? For those of us who have many presets we find it very annoying to have to hover over each preset with the mouse instead of quick scrolling with up and down arrow keys.
Hi Team, Can someone please explain what the lightroom team photos album is used for? what photos do I need to add? Thank you, Phillip
I would love to have the ability to apply the Lens Blur effect to multiple images at once, through either copy & paste or stored in a preset. This would significantly reduce my editing time. Thanks, Jack.
Hi, I'm using Lightroom (not Classic) on Windows 11 with Photo Mechanic. When I update metadata in PM, for example a star rating the change is not reflected in LR. I've checked the xmp file and it's being correctly updated. I've tried clearing the LR cache. If I make an update in LR then PM sees it without issue. If I restart LR then the correct metadata is displayed. Is there a way for LR to automatically watch xmp files or at least perform a re-read if the image is selected? Thanks.
Hi, I've found that if a file is passed to Lightroom from Photo Mechanic for example then there is no option to process that file locally, it needs to be synced to the cloud. As Local Mode has now been introduced it would be nice to be able to process passed files locally? Thanks.
Hi! Is there a way to export the same image to several iPhone shared albums at once? Can I export to a shared album and save the image my iPhone's camera roll at the same time? I am currently having to do a different export process for each destination. Thanks! Jason
Having to export full DNG files to get edits and metadata is very cumbersome, especially for someone working from an iPad to desktop workflow. Please add the ability to export just the XMP sidecar files. Cloud syncing is limited when traveling abroad (a recent work trip resulted in 300gb of photos that the hotel wifi was not cooperative with) and it would be so much faster when moving from one device to another. Example of how a workflow with XMP support would work: Copy RAW files to iPad Pro, backup to external hard drive, import to LR Mobile, cull and edit, export XMPs to external drive alongside RAW files, import to Lightroom Classic upon return from trip. Currently I either have to wait until I get back to the desktop setup to cull and edit, or I have to duplicate a bunch of RAW files as DNGs in the meantime, essentially doubling the space necessary for file storage on the go. Cloud storage and sync is not a good option for traveling abroad where internet
Could we have an option to auto stack images by a number (by 3's, 5's, etc) in addition to time in between?
While editing hundreds of wedding photos though the years I use to add a sphere shaped "radial filter" adding a higher exposure to the couples faces (I think it looks better than vignetting). If I add a centered sphere in a landscape photo and then batch the same settings onto the next 50 photos all editing will be copied but the sphere will become and ellipse in att the portrait photos.. The customer service gave me this answer: What you are encountering is the normal working feature in the Lightroom since again as I mentioned both the image you are taking for comparison are different proportions where one is horizontal and other is vertical and radial filter circle that is created on the horizontal image is based on the size and position on the horizontal image. So if your positional for circular radial filter is at the center of the image in horizontal image when you copy and paste this setting to horizontal image this position settings is also copied to vertical
1. Mirror front camera option on the in-app camera 2. create iOS shortcuts, specifically one that automatically opens the front camera of the in-camera app
In Lightroom Classic, there used to be an option to only import RAW files and use Jpegs only as smart previews, if I recall correctly. It is kind of confusing that this feature is missing from Lightroom CC. You have to import everything from a card or a camera, or you would have to manually select raw files only in the "review for import" window. I am aware of the workaround where you filter out jpegs in the regular finder/explorer import dialogue window, but this only works with memory cards. If you connect the camera directly to your PC, it doesn't support multi-select through the explorer dialogue, so the user is out of luck. The only way then is to first copy all the RAW files to local storage and then import them into Lightroom, which is an incredible hassle for something that should honestly be an absolutely normal function of the software out of the box. If there were at least some sorting options in the review for import dialogue, the user could at least sort the files b
If I want to add images to an album from within an album, the images already there are neither market or removed, so it is difficult to see which images that is already there. It makes it difficult to see if there are images you should have added to the album. Especially in larger albums. Don't know if this also is the case on the desktop version.
I want to call this a bug, but I think it's actually a feature I hate. I often use Opt-C to show two images side-by-side. When I do, the Filmstrip appears at the bottom without my asking it to, and persists as I continue to work, until I tap "/" to turn it off. This drives me nuts! There is a time and a place for Filmstrip, but I'll ask for it when I need it. There is no use case I can think of for auto-showing Filmstrip in Compare view and I'm tired of turning it off all the time. Please make Auto-show Filmstrip an option we can turn off.
In a similar way that the desktop application manages print preparation, the mobile app should provide for improved social media prep. Features that might be useful include Image frames Actually posting? Image splitting (panorama split across multiple) This seems like a pretty straightforward and helpful feature for a lot of mobile users.
Imagine 5 photographers, collaborating on a book for example: clustered around an actual light table with slides, everyone would be able to shift images in the sequence or groupings. With shared albums (collections) I know I can share with permission to edit and contribute; does this extend to custom order? Would everyone see the same order that each other would display? (Obviously not simultaneously, but perhaps "live"? Or is there another app that facilitates this kind of live interaction? If you've solved this kind of live collaborative workflow - how did you do it? Thanks.
It would be great if the desktop app showed the # of photos associated with each keyword, just like the mobile app does.
Something that may be super simple and just pure convenience. I would love it if I could reset my indevidual curves chanel but just double clicking on ech chanel color icon. This way I wouldn't need to click into each chanel and remove each point.
My previous setup was like this:X-T1 + lightroom 6 + loupedeckafter upgrading to X-T3 my lightroom 6 turned out to be outdated so I upgraded to lightroom CCbut now loupedeck is not working at all, and here is a statement from that company:Currently only Classic CC is supported due to the way Adobe has constructed their software. Lightroom CC does not have the required framework to support SDK or extended plugin support. We would love to support Lr CC but at this given moment it is not possible. It would be great if my loupedeck can work out of the box with CC on desktop for windows 🙂
It would be extremely helpful to add possibility to perform this annoying task of date time capture adjustment also on Lightroom web based interface https://lightroom.adobe.com/It's an annoying task I perform sometimes on different device where I don't have Lighroom Classic neither Lightroom CC installed. It would be a specific, restricted, isolated feature task I would really love to do everywhere I'm connected thru a browser on Lightroom web. Could you make it possible?🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Thanks!
Issue: When I have an album loaded for editing, I will select "Store Locally" as well as make sure that "Only download smart previews" is not selected to ensure I have downloaded the original pictures. When I start editing the pictures (34MP RAW from a Canon R7), Lightroom will take ~3-4 seconds to load the picture. I can see the Image type in the info panel change from "Preview" to "Smart Preview" to "Original". If I've downloaded and processed the original pictures, Lightroom should load the Original copy automatically. There should be a method to force Lightroom to render these pictures all at once, much like "Generate 1:1 Previews" exists in Lightroom Classic. If I swipe from Picture 100 to Picture 101 and back again to Picture 100, the load from Preview to Original is almost instant, as it should be.
