Request: We need the ability to perform a full backup/export with all information of our cloud catalog, and then be able to import it. Automated export would be a nice feature enhancement beyond the basic capability. Background: This functionality will address many issues. Such as Adobe vulverability to Ransomeware: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/p-lightroom-cloud-based-library-backup/m-p/12322430#M56425 Or the ability to migrate catelogs between accounts: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/how-to-move-lightroom-cc-catalog-to-another-adobe-account/td-p/9476025 Tim
I can't find or there isn't a 'copy' Tones feature in the Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based). I've been trying to correct skin tones, but in the Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based), RGB curves can only be used separately, without the possibility of using a reference image. I would like to use a dropper tool on an image, copy the RGB values, and easily insert them into another image. We can do this easily in LrC or Photoshop, but in the Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based), RGB values are not displayed below the histogram." The best I can do is venture into the comparison view (Alt + C) and try to visually guess the best RGB values to match. So that you understand me, here are examples:
I have just had to go on to a subscription version of Light room (7.1.2) having used Lightroom 6.14 for many years. Whilst it has some useful new features, it doesn't allow the same flexibility with customising file names when you export. For instance, you can't include the original file name plus custom text. Please restore the flexibility and file naming options of LR 6.14!! The lack of this feature is really annoying and frustrating and a big backwards step.
Lightroom need to make more data visible on export and when viewing on web. - location /gps data -people names - group photo should enable a number referens that can be completed a name. Would be helpfull to have shadow outline with the numbers
I'm living the new HDR optimazation feature editing option. It seems like to me though that we are missing an auto feature for the SDR visualization portion. My work flow is generally wanting to look what a good auto looks like in SDR. Then i would like to be able for that look to be saved to the SDR flow then click the HDR and then click auto again for that look before adjusting. The HDR images are just incredible. I also can't figure out how to look at the image in or view when I click "F" after editing. It always goes to the SDR version. I feel like currently the editing process is taking too long to make me want to continue editing this way but really would love this to be looked at as an option. lastly, when exporting it would be great to be able to know which files are HDR. Perhaps something that could be added to names that would be easy. Viewing the images after output still a little difficult because just available in cert
I'm a huge fan of the option to create a nice looking online album and share that with clients. I'm also getting very positive feedback about this way of sharing photos instead of sending a .zip file. Clients can just choose the photos they want to use and only download those. The only function I'm missing right now is the possibility to define the name of the downloaded jpegs from a shared album. Usually when I share the .zip file I change the file names, add the date of the shoot, the subject and my name. I often shoot festivals and events, where the team changes regularly. So having my name in the file name is very important to get proper credits when the photo is used. Since we can't change the file names within Lightroom and I saw that idea was declined, I hope it will be at least possible to get an option to define what the file name should be when someone downloads the .jpeg from an online album.
App version 7.1.2 (macOS, 13.6, Intel) Just like it says in the title: my JPG exports are way too large in size. A 90%-quality JPG is 31.4MB, which is fine, I guess, but dropping that down to 30% quality and 500 pixels on the long side results in a file that is 30.8MB! This isn't a problem with the size estimate in the export panel either: I'm looking at a 30.8MB image that has terrible JPG compression artifacts and has dimensions of 333x500! I've attached it for your amusement. There's basically no information in this image and yet it's enormous! What is going on here? I've had the same results on an Apple Silicon Mac and my iPad was also reporting large export sizes, though I didn't experiment with it as much there. To be fair, this is a large Lightroom file with lots of masks, but that shouldn't matter when it's flattened into a JPG. For what it's worth, when I export to Photoshop and use the export feature there, a PNG file size at original res (
I am a professional photographer. I have been using Lightroom Classic for 20 years (since the beta days). Since "Local" was added on the last update, I really want to migrate to Lightroom and stop having to import and use catalogs, but I cannot until the following five features are migrated. I will briefly explain why I need each feature. 1. Quick Develop The ability to increase or decrease an exposure for entire jobs by a third to a full stop without changing the develop module settings for each photo has saved me hundreds of hours. If for some reason my monitor settings were too low or too high this feature is a god send. In the passed I increased a 2,000 picture finished event that took days to post process by 1/3 exposure within minutes. 2. Develop mode Snapshots. I use snapshots religously to make fine tweaks and compare different processing options. Especially if I am using Lightroom to do photographic art. I have a third party app that I use to creat a snapshot of all phot
Please implement more keyboard shortcuts when using a keyboard. I'm hardly missing command - a for selecting an bunch of photos (even all). Clicking on checkboxes makes me weak.
It would be great to have a workspace where the user could review photographs without synching them. The workspace would need to support multiple folders and be stored locally. Once an Album was moved to the "Main" Lightroom album area it would be allowed to synch. Without this type of controlled synch I don't see Lightroom CC ever becoming my tool of choice.
In the thumbnail exposure grid, on Lr, can you add information, if the thumbnail is that of a file at its original size, for example RAW or a dynamic preview of a file synchronized from Lrc RAW- adyn or a dedicated icon. It would thus be easier to distinguish the two types of files in the Lr catalog and in LrC, 'All photos synchronized' view without having to consult the metadata of each photo individually!
When you select the subject in a photo and copy the setup to another photo, the app asks you to refresh to find the new subject. The ideia would be to have a option to do this automatically not only in one photo, but in a bunch of selected photos. It would make the editing process even faster, especially for similar photos.
Hi, can you add feature to hide selective sensitive photos in Lightroom CC Mobile App? I like to show my friends/family pictures on the Lightroom app directly, it would be nice to hide some photos besides putting them in folders. Maybe even password protected perhaps? Thanks!
Can you add in a way to see what album(s) a photo is in. You can do this with classic CC, but not the new cloud CC.I have LOADS of photos, and after the migration from classic, lots of them are not in albums and are now heaped into on big imported album (because I used my hard drive folders to organise things in Classic. So, now I have a big tidy-up job on my hands. Also, it would be great if you could find all photos not in an album.
Lightroom Classic has the feature to tag undetected faces, and you can write the XMP metadata to the file so that it is portable to different applications or sent to other people. I would like to have that capability in Lightroom CC.
Suggested additional features on Lightroom Android (Mobile): Preset masking, Watermark graphic blending mode, Double exposure with blending mode too (like snapseed).
It would be great If i would be able to take pictures with my presets. 🙂 ❤️
Please redo the lense selection mechanic: - Right now if I want to switch from W to T, I need to press the button twice to go through the UW option. - This is too slow for street photography. - Instead, please use the UI similar to the stock iOS app which shows all available options at all times — pic attached, yellow circle.
I would be good to have a Canvas Projection with Adobe Lightroom on iPad, like Photoshop when editing and viewing images. I feel this feature would be useful for editing, giving a large viewfinder when editing images. The feature works really well in Photoshop and I feel would work well with Lightroom too. I would be valuable to have, especially with some displays that are colour accurate, which will help to ensure colours are correct, but also to preview on a larger screen how adjustments are affecting the image. To add, this could also help to create more space on the iPad screen itself for more tools to be visible.
Please provide an option for Local to "send to cloud" either full resolution or smart preview . Using smart previews would reduce the amount cloud storage.
Albums on Lightroom web gallery appears in a totally random order. There is no way to re-arrange them manually or even sort them alphabetically. This is a big problem if you have a large number of albums. The order doesn't follow the order of the creation time of the album on Lightroom Classic, or the time when it was synced to the cloud, or even the order they were added to the gallery. It's totally random (or at least it looks like it) At least an automatic alpahebetic sorting should be provided for the albums.
I am a longtime photographer for personal use with experience using free services like Picasa / Google Photos as well as Adobe Lightroom / Portfolio / Lightroom Galleries. At present, I find critical features missing from both Myportfolio (showing Albums exported from Lightroom) as well as Lightroom Gallery. Lightroom Gallery: There are three maddiningly-simple features missing from Gallery 1) No ability to SORT Albums. Seriously! How are these even displayed? It seems when I share an album to Gallery it gets randomly inserted along with all the other albums in the Gallery. Not by title. Not by date uploaded. WTF? This is not usable when sharing my Gallery link with family. To fix this, users should be able to organize the order with which albums are shown in Lightroom Gallery or at least to sort them by something intelligent, like the date of the album. Ideally, users could also create pages or folders of albums if they have many albums that they want to share with
Currently, in the Grid view, an icon shows what the original file is; e.g. "ORF", or "NEF" or "ARW", which is helpful. However, unless the original file is in the cloud, Lightroom is only working with a Smart Preview. I get that, and it is helpful to speed things up. However, "Enhance" can only be done on an original Raw file. I understand that, and it makes sense. BUT—it would be VERY HELPFUL if, when I choose "Enhance" and the file is a Smart Preview, give me the option to "Locate Original File" and "Upload to Cloud" from within the dialogue box. The dialgue could be similar to the one in Lightroom Classic when one selects "Show in Finder" and the file is on an external drive that is not attached.
When applying presets, I'd prefer the application of the preset to happen when the preset is tapped. As another option, keep the done button but retain the preset menu rather than dropping back to the main develop menu. I find myself using multiple presets and it's really annoying to have to reengage the preset menu every time. Even make it a personal preference? My 2 cents. Rich
