Until 2 days ago I was able to see an option to sort the photos by capture date, modified and etc. Bur from yesterday I was not able to see the option for sorting pics by capture date and I can see only filter option. Please let me know how to sort pics in my edits page by capture date.
Thank you in advance for the thoughts on this and if I'm missing a point here, please advise. After leaving Grid View and entering Detail View I would like to see the Info and especially Rating button in the "new" streamlined menu bar at the bottom of the workspace. It's distracting to go up to the top of the screen, click the 3 dots, scroll down looking for info/rating, click it, change screens to rate, then go back change the screen again to the detail/ edit screen. Much of the time as I review a shoot I like to be in Detail/Edit view and throw a quick edit on to see if I like it. If I do I like to give it a check to keep or an X. Of course I could just review in the Info/Rating view then go back. But then I'd having nothing to whine about. Thanks again, Tom
I post web albums with tons of photos .... for group activities there's a big tension between (a) highlight the BEST PHOTOS of the team/wedding/group, and (b) include at least one or two photos of EACH participant. I'm usually trying to do both!! And the bummer is when you're doing (b), it means the BEST photos are hard to find. SUGGEST: enable an option for flagged or 4-star/5-star photos to be displayed in the grid with "double-row and column size". WIth this feature, it'd be easy for an album to visually feature the BEST photos... really highlighting photographers best work and making the SET of photos look even better. (And for the album-consumer, it means someone who wants the pix of THEMSELVES along with the BEST PHOTOS could choose those and download.)thx!thx!
I create shared albums for a lot of events ... a school sports team is a good example (2023-10, EPS JV Volleyball ). These albums are great ways for people to see the images -- but I get LOTS of requests for "multi-select via checkboxes" so people can pick the SUBSET of pictures they want to download. Current view is only eithera) one at a time (pain in the rear end) b) the ENTIRE set of images (way too many) Please add a "checkbox select" to a corner of the images in grid view so people can choose the ones they want to download. (you could show this on hover of any single image .. you could put an option when people click the "Download" menu at top left and offer two choices: "Select images to download" and "Download all" ... etc. etc.)
I have many albums for a variety of occasions. Often I'm needing to move files manually into these folders. However on iOS, my iPad is my primary Lightroom tool, the search albums by keyword feature is missing. (I believe it is works on desktop). This causes me to endlessly scroll every time I want to save one or more photos to an album. Please add this feature.
Filtering is a necessary condition in any reasonably large catalog. Drop downs are effective for small lists, but Location and Keywords can get quite lenghty and are difficult to sort through as is. Please make the filtering experience more user friendly so its possible to explore these as opposed to knowing (eg., currently if you "know" the location you can type in the first letter, if you do not, you have to scroll through an endlessly long list).
Hi, I tend to import the raw files from my camera to my phone. However, there I only need them inside of Lightroom. It would be awesome to have a button that enables Lighroom to delete the original after it has been imported. Cheers
The existing filter by options are useful, but not nearly sufficient. Need to add other ninimal filters like "Year taken" and other basic filters. As is, maintaining even a reasonably sized catalog in the app is near impossible. "Smart filters" are ok to an extent, but the results are just unreliable, eg, search my catalog log for 2021 and half my 2021 photo's don't show up and dozens of other photos do.
In light room, I would like to have included in overlay options to be able to show the title of the photo.
The inability to do simple searches in the Deleted folder make this essentially useless unless one has very few deleted files. Should be able to search on "filename" and "sync status" (since syncing deleted files cause all sorts of consternation).
I've started using my iPad to do my initial round of rating photos when traveling, and I'd love to have the option to automatically download smart previews for my entire collection. This way, if I have an intermittent internet connection (or none at all), I can continue to go through my workflow effectively. At the moment, this works great if I have a fast and stable internet connection, but unless I've already clicked on each individual image, I don't have access to the full resolution previews when not connected to the cloud (i.e. on an airplane). I'd love for this to be an option on both mobile & desktop apps, and allow people to choose the current behavior, download all, or set a storage limit. Thanks!
Please could we see on iOS iPad and iPhone which albums a photo is in, in the same way that the Desktop version shows this info - that is at the bottom of the info panel. Thanks.
It's easy to show the camera settings, lens, camera and other EXIF in Lightroom mobile, but it isn't possible to select and copy that information to the clipboard to paste into another application. Having the ability to copy and paste that data outside Lightroom would allow for easier sharing of that info on social media. Please, add this as a feature.
I primarily like to use my iPad Pro... I have the Lightroom app installed on my ipad... I'd like to have an easy internal option within lightroom to export a STILL FRAME from a video just like I can on the desktop version.. Please add this.. Thanks!
Pixel 6/pro supports hdr image viewing. 100%. Chrome supports it and google photos probably will soon.
I am using the beta of content credentials. Much happier with its implementation in Lightroom than in Photoshop (useless for me at the moment). However... I would like to be able to choose how I am displayed in the connected social media. Would it be my name or my @3891201 by the social media?. At the moment is a bit of a chaos because for some the @3891201 is displayed and for others the full name. For Instagram or eX-Twitter, I see my @3891201. For Behance is my full name and not my @3891201. And for LinkedInn is a very strange combination of @ and my full name, but also not the @3891201. In any case, if I am not able to choose between full name and @3891201, at least I want my @3891201 in all connected social media accounts (easier to rember than my full name)
Hello all, I have a feature request for Lightroom on iPhone and iPad: please implement the progress bars like they are also in Lr classic. An iPhone or iPad does not have a sandclock or spinning beach ball (like Mac) and there is also no fan on this devices. So you don't know how busy these are. Sometimes you don't know if the app is frozen and you have to kill it or if you just have to wait! Progress bars for the different tasks would help. please vote up! thanks Sebastian
Plss add sorting image with lens type and exposure info
I find it extremely annoying to use Stamp/Remove/Heal tool in mobile Lightroom app. When I try to mark desired area of my photo to stamp it, my finger is covering the areas I'm marking. So I don't see what I'm doing... It gets very hard especially when I want to be precise, so when I use very small brush. Very very annoying. Why don't you update the app, so when using the brush tool with a finger, next to the zone which I touch with my finger, a "cloud" with live preview appears, so I can see what I'm currently "brushing"?
I would like to extend the wonderful feature of being able to save images with the border so that it can be done also w multiple images. It could/should be set so that vertical/horisontal/squarded automatically get their correct dimensions/alignment so that non landscape/portrait are both treated like only landscape or vice versa! I'd also love being able to put a white border to the fullscale saving feature...like it was in the old days. (When it also had month and year "May • 67" (super-useful when sorting old images) don't know if this is the eight forum for improvement suggestions, if not maybe someone could help me take it to the right people!! Regards, Johan
Right now, if I have a photo that is received/edited in an app, I can "share" it to "import to lightroom", and then it is added to the "all photos" category, then I can go and add that photo to a specific album. If this is done for a large number of photos, this can be difficult to do. Idea: ability to "add to album" directly -- it will open lightroom, and pop up a dialog "What album to add this to?". Or at minimum, allow a variable to the "import photos to lightroom" shortcut. Several other apps support this functionality via "shortcuts" automations, however lightroom doesn't currently. Right now, the only parameter to a "Import Photos to Lightroom" shortcut is to "apply preset", it doesn't accept an album name or have an option for an album selector.
Can't save edits in versions manually, in lightroom mobile? Why doesn't the button, that let's you pause auto sync, also let you manually quick save the current edit, to retrieve in versions? I closed lightroom like 3 times tonight because I kept getting so frustrated. I couldn't save my versions manually to look back at different edits, choose the one I want, and delete the others, like to with a multi check box select. It only saves an edit to versions when it wants to.
I accidentally deleted a preset today. I went to a photo, didn't like the preset on the photo, selected delete, and it deleted my preset. I purchased and downloaded this preset in July 2021. There is no way I am getting the preset back from whereever I purchased it from. Then I contacted Adobe Lightroom and it is gone forever with absolutely no way of restoring it. I have been using a series of presets very similar to this one since July 2021. I am not sure what changed, or what happened, but this absolutely should not be a feature available with no option of restoring it. The change I would like to propose - is be to restore a preset from a trash bin or the like.
Please can 'Badge Overlays' in Grid View as available in Lightroom Classic and Lightroom on the web be brought to the new Lightroom CC client? This will make it a LOT easier to review picked and rejected photos in context of the rest of the album.
