Media Server (read-only)

I am using Fms 4.5 server on window7 and I am publishing two streams on it and there was another stream which is playlist for two streams and it is redirecting to another ams5 server. All the switching logic is on 4.5 server.The problem I am getting is When I switch to another stream I am getting error in logs ams 5 server which are as follow:error when pushing messages to fragmentor:First message in the fragment is not a keyframe:Recording failed:End of stream:Note: One stream is rtmp stream whereas another stream is flv published using ffmpeg and target stream is hds stream and if fms 4.5 server is licensed and secured then i have issue but if I install fresh fms 4.5 as a trial version and test the scenario it is fine. I also test the config files and xml files like adaptor,vhost,user,application,logger and server of licensed 4.5 on fresh installed 4.5 but it is fine So I am missing somewhere Please help me by giving valuable suggestions.

Is it as simple as:Generate an CSR using open SSL - like this howto in the Connect forumsTurning that into a cert via a CAInstalling that cert in /certs and/or /conf/_defaultRoot_ Or is there something I'm missing? I've searched and haven't found instructions on the basics - only on more advanced config topics.Thanks!

I am new in the Adobe world, so please have patience I am looking for a tool that can stream videos to certain client on demand. It would be very useful to know what to buy. Here are my questions to the pros:     -does Adobe Media Server send in multicast?     -I think I have to install the media server and the media encoder, is it right?     -Can I install the tools on the same machine?Thanks for your help.

We have Adobe Media Server 4.5What's the best way to get all HDS-LIVE streams to enable dvr without having to create a f4m file for each stream? We are currently using the livepkgr's created f4m file at http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/testevent/teststream.f4m however DVR isn't enabled. I tried making a manifest.xml file but it only effects the f4m generated at http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/testevent.f4m. This would be fine but if there is more than one stream I don't see any documentation on how to limit the media tags down to the stream you want to view. We do single bitrate streaming currently. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,I'm trying to figure out a way to automate the process of creating a manifest file for a specific video. (I.e. File is uploaded to a folder watched by AME > AME encodes the file > I receive a *.m3u8 file that I can give to a client.) Similar to uploading a file to youtube and getting a link to watch it. I've done a bunch of searching and have come up empty. Any direction on how to tackle this would be great.Thanks

OS: CentOS 6.6 AWS-provided AMI found hereI'm using Adobe Media Server 5.0.7.I have my application set up so that when a user records a video to the server, it goes into its own directory.If this directory does not exist, it is created automatically by AMS. The problem is that this new directory is created with a permission level that prevents my other app from reading and accessing objects inside of it.How can I tell AMS to create directories with a permissions level that I specify?

2 questions :what stats can be extracted out of the AMS 5.07 both static and live? and how do I access them?can you stream to an android app and what is required?Thanks

Hello,I've just finished my new Adobe Media Server installation and doing testing now.I tried to run http://localhost/hds-vod/test.mp4.f4m in my Adobe Media Server local Sample Video Player, it works fine. But, when I tried to run in another client machine with same URL http://externalhost/hds-vod/test.mp4.f4m, it shows below error in my browser. I am trying to decide if I need to purchase Adobe Media Server Standard.I already have Adobe Media Server Starter installed on my server.The starter version says it's limited to 10 RTMP.Does that mean only 10 viewers on different computers can watch a single RTMP stream?Or does it mean that I can only have 10 RTMP streams streaming to the server at the same time?Any information on this would be greatly appreciated as I seem to not be understanding the product comparison charts.idi-David

We have built a video conferencing solution in which we allow multiple attendees to share their cameras and mics. Additionally we have a custom Java app that publishing a ScreenSharing feed to the participants. We're Using Adobe Media Server 5 and we’re running into issues where certain clients (seemingly sporadically) are disconnected from the session with a disconnect code of 416 in the Access logs. According to the Adobe documentation, the 416 disconnect is the following:disconnectdata_exceeded416Message queue too large; disconnect the client.The interesting thing is, we don’t have message queueing enabled on our server (according to our Server.xml file ).Is there some other queueing that this log could be referring to?Are there any specific ways we can attempt to tweak this issue ?Any help would be appreciatedPS -- The disconnects don't only happen with the ScreenSharing feed, but that's the only time that it consistently happens.

I have had no problems logging into the administration console in the past on a windows server.I have tried the original passwords with no success.I have made sure that both the fms server and admin server are started in services.I have changed the fms.ini files username and password (using notepad) and saved the old fms.ini files elsewhere.I have restarted the services and still cannot log in.I have used both localserver and the IP address.I am not sure what else I can do. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,Could anyone guide me on how to use the sample VOD files to initiate RTMFP multicast stream in Adobe Flash Media server application ?I dont have FLME so for testing multicast, am looking to use VOD files as an alternate.Thanks !

We have a cisco ace firewall that does nat to an internal Adobe Media Server which will suppose to broadcast onto a multicast enable network. The network works fine on multicast traffic as well the Adobe Media Server can stream unicast, but no multicast at all. Not sure what settings need to be changed/applied etc. in order to make it work.  thanksps: the server has the right licence (multicast enabled)

how would i go about parsing the cs-bytes and sc-bytes for a month. is there a way to makethe access logs keep more than five log files like just keep generating them. Also is therea way to make each virtalhost log the bytes?  Thanks!

Please help me!--rendering makes the images or video blurry (very pixelated) deteriorates the image  Adobe Premier Elements 13  need help!.jpg and mpeg images,  but I have never "rendered" before since I got APE 13 about 6 weeks ago.I am desperate for someone to tell me what is going wrong.  I need to finish a project in a week and I never expected this problem!!  Please help me orI have to tell my parents all the money I spent on APE13 was a waste!   (I did have APE 9) but I never rendered on it before either.  Is this a problem with APE?!!

Hi using JW-player 6.1 and when playing mp3 over rtmp there is no scrubbing.Mp4 works fine. and even if playing mp3 from other instance than Adobe Media Server.Is there a setting in AMS that we have missed?Please help.

I am trying to install adobe flash player my computer uses windows 7 and when I click on the link to download it seems to be successful in so much it tells me it is downloaded and finished and enjoy it. However the program is not on my computer and on checking to see if it is enabled my computer tells me that it is not installed. So if anyone can help much appreciated thanks

Hi I have been trying to edit live stream with DVR enabled. Whenever i try to record a live stream in Editor application (also from ADOBE FMS tools) i get this error StreamNotFound. Offline videos under the Source directory are being edited just fine. here are the steps i am following1. Stream video with stream name 'livestream' from Adobe Media Encoder (checked on  DVR Auto Record)2.  Strat DVR with DVRControllerSync.swf3. Check if the DVR enabled stream is playable in Web with saple Video Player 4. In Editor Flex application set in point and out point and Generate On_demand clip. You will have to forgive me for being uneducated with regards to servers. I currently installed the Adobe Media Server and everything works fine with local host. I am behind a home network and unable to connect streaming software to the server. I have opened up the cable router and put the following settings into the port forwarding.TCP/UDP 1935 server ip to the computer running AMSTCP 80 to the computer running AMSTCP 8134 to the computer running AMSI have ran the cc.rtmfp.net site and i have green on all except "knows public ip address of self"when I put the ip address into "say xsplit" with rtmp setting to the public ip I can not connect. I have tried "rtmp://My IP:1935/live and so on without success.I am obviously doing something wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated.
