I have a blend model and have successfully uploaded as a obj file to mixamo. I would now like the colored version but can't seem to get an fbx file to upload. I have made sure that the copy and embedded textures are clicked but the file can't be uploaded. I'm assuming the file is to big or there is an other issue with how it's set up in blender but I dont have a good understanding of blender so am struggling to find an answer I can understand . Any advice is appreciated.
Hello everyone!I have made some attempts and generally understood of how Mixamo web page calls APIs from the backend.I want to combine the function of rigging bones provide by mixamo‘s API, with other functions I have written, to plugins or web pages. Others will pay to use my plugins or web pages, and it contains Mixamo‘s function. Is this allowed? Or what I should pay for it?If it is not allowed, can I provide an URL or iframe to link to Mixamo official web page? Users will register their own Adobe account and use Mixamo's features, I won't modify anything on Mixamo's webpage, except of translating its text into other languagesI will not use any models or action assets of mixamo, only the bone binding function.
Hello, everyoneI am trying to use the API to access mixamo for easier rigging of my 3D character models, but it seems that mixamo is only available on the web and cannot be accessed through the API.Is there any way to access mixamo through coding so that I can rig bones to multiple models more conveniently? Thanks a lot!
Hi I am working on an academic project about 3D animation. Can I use Mixamo dataset for it and the paper?
Hi everyone,I've been having this issue for a while now and i looked every video and forum i could find. I'm writing down some details that could've been the problem but wasn't;-My FBX file is only 600 kb-It doesn't have any normal/roughness maps etc.-My character's size is small.-My export settings are the same as I've used always.I didn't have any problems and could rig my character as i wanted, this error popped up suddenly and i can't use mixamo anymore, i really need to fix this issue, please help 😞 I also tried to use different models, same error I
Hello All, Irrespective of which character is selected, the pose window only shows the Male Bot and that is what's downloaded. The pose is correct but the character isn't.I've tried this from two different browsers (Firefox and Edge) but have the same issue.I've included a screenshot showing one of the characters that I selected. As you can see, it states that it is a female character but onscreen and the download file fail to refresh to include those details.I'm using the latest version of Windows 11 as are both browsers.
This upgrade means you can seamlessly export and upload the latest FBX file versions or earlier. And if your character uses Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials, those materials will also be passed through seamlessly (although they will not display in Mixamo).
@Aaron31559119txbg i had a spare 1/2 hour so took a stab at it
SOS. I have not used Mixamo since Adobe took it over. BUT now I got problems. So..I want to take a Poser character, exported as an appropriate format and upload to mixamo to apply a simple one of their animations., then download as an appripriate format and load into Cinema4D. Nightmare city .I've tried exporting the figure (M4) as FBX and obj, but the FBX comes in with mangled textures and the obj comes in with no textures. I addition, the pants on the character do not move with the figure. Can any clever soul tell me the correct workflow to achieve my aims?best regards, David
I uploaded a character to mixamo https://www.mixamo.com/#/ that has 6 textures embedded into the FBX. The output looks good as seen in the screenshot below but when I click download Collada, it's only downloaded with 1 texture in textures file. Since the texture is that of the tongue, the output in Blender looks like this:Is this a Mixamo website bug or is there anything I can do to fix this? What is the reasoning for this result? It randomly picked out the tongue texture.
I downloaded a mixamo rig and it seems to play fine in Blender but when I import it into BeamNG I get this weird flickering. I asked in their discord if this is a bug in the game but they claimed it's a problem with the model. What could possibly be the issue?
I have the problem where I pick one of the animations and change the arm-space and then download it without skin, when put in blender it wordks fine but as soon as i put it on the model (which is the same model as the one i used in mixamo with the same starting position and everything) the arms revert back to the default option or something.
Mixamo loading for me. Downloading any animation takes ages.Any one facing similar issue?
https://github.com/OrganicMonkeyMotion/mixamo-rig-joint-constraint Basically, I have a character (a monkey) that while bipedal is not of human proportions, so I see many issues with joint rotations etc that are a nuisance to fix using the mocap based keyframes (the're so dense). Some of that over rotation leads to body part "collisions" that, as it turned out, seem mostly addressed by simply constraining the joint rotations to "natural" limits. It occured to me that the problem was likely the way mixamo transferred (probably verbatum) joint rotations from the human proportioned source to the user targets. Not a criticism, but with some bone constraints applied, many of the issues seemed to disappear. So, I've simply used anthropometric data for humans, given the source in the mixamo site is a human biped. There may already be a way to do this, but I am also using this as an excuse to learn blender add-on development etc.
I have created a character in Blender and rigged it with a basic human metarig. (I've done this becuase the character has a big back pack and the so Mixamo auto rigging gives an error) However, the way Mixamo maps the rig is backwards (i.e. the joints are all facing the wrong way and the character facing away from the camera. Is there something I need to do differently when rigging or exporting? I've tried vairous setting with no luck. In Blender the character's forward is -Y.
Hello everyone! I recently started Blender a couple of days ago and found myself to hit a wall. The model I chose doesn't seem have a lot under her dress. Mixamo asks for elbow and groin markers so I thought maybe it would work if I add objects as markers when the dress itself doesn't work. I'm unsure how all parts have to be attached together: I have attached the clothing to the rig, which I think can be smoothen out with some weight painting, but I still find parts of the clothing stiff. At some point I clicked on viewport shading and boom she is pink. In the shader editor I still see the nodes and I'm not sure what I did for this to happen: I've attached the imported model I found from our community and my own attempt to edit it. I also imported the gltf file from the game and converted it to fbx (this one has a groin). While it does work, the clothing is stiff and I don't know how to separate each layer. I find myself starting over many times with ea
I need correct beautiful animations of walking diagonally, but Jog (the only animation) does not suit me
Hello, I love mixamo unlike many other animations websites/apps this one allows people to rig and add animations to an existing skeleton really easily.I personally have a skeleton in which passing animations is super hard, and some of the animations that I want to retarget from a internet skeleton to my skeleton I just cant manage to do it I tried many apps like Auto Rig Pro for blender and nothing. But when i add my skeleton to mixamo I can easily add any animations from mixamo to my skeleton which I really love it.All this had me thinking if we could upload a skeleton with an animation, and use mixamo as the intermediator to pass it to our main skeleton will be really nice. I asume I am not the only having this sort of issue of retargeting animations and this will help a lot of people. Thanks for reading.
When I import character from blender into mixamo, there a sphere below it, make me confuse what was that . help please
My android mobile character chain is not showing auto chain
Attached "climbing ladder on x bot" default export. The spacing of the hands is larger than the feet so when animating on an actual ladder with evenly spaced rungs (all ladders) the hands and feet can't be lined up. Furthermore, the average Z motion of the pelvis (should be root bone like other animations on mixamo, I opened a new bug on that issue) makes it so that any ladder rungs stepped on do not pass through the hands, even when manually correcting the hand spacing using an additive IK animation over this one. So the hands AND feet both need correcting at a minimum just to be used, which is unacceptable. It is expected the animation would be suitable for its purpose out of the box, which means that it would be roughly equivalent to a mocap animation, in this case of someone climbing a real ladder.
Hi, I'm trying to use the looping ladder climb animation "climbing ladder on x bot" in unreal engine 5. The issue I'm having is that when importing the exported fbx the root motion occurs on the XY plane only and not on Z. Instead the pelvis bone is mostly responsible for the Z height of the character. This makes it impossible to use as a looping root motion animation. Because it doesn't actually climb upwards. And when it loops it jumps downwards. I'd like to simply turn on "Use Root Motion" in unreal to have the animation itself drive the character position, since the climb height is an extremely specific rate and makes little sense to trial-and-error the motion via code scripting (I tried anyway and it's approximately 44.2 units in Z per cycle). Attached is the export directly from mixamo, inspecting in any software will show you what I mean by the root motion only being on 2 of 3 expected axis.
Here is a link to the .blend if anyone's able to help me. Thanks in advance. https://drive.google.com/file/d/181tY3LRMgvEo64zKYtfNJW-m9V5n8vKM/view?usp=drive_link
Hi everybody, I'm flashed by the power of Mixamo! But I seem to have a serious problem. When I animate my character in Mixamo and download it, I lose all my materials and textures. So the obvious solution would be to download the animated character from Mixamo and retarget the animation in C4D. My fully textured character is in T-Pose, but the animated character has only animated poses that quite differ from the initial T-pose. When I try to retarget, I get some quite odd animations. Is there a way to add a T-pose to all animations in Mixamo? Something like "add frame 0 as T-pose". This way I could easily retarget the animated mixamo file to my fully textured character in C4D. Cheers!
