I pay for this (Acrobat Pro with Creative Cloud). I do not want pop ups interfering with my work flow. Put an option on the Help Menu for a path to details on new options & (internal Adobe advertising) . . . I am working on a newsletter, I don't want pop ups for tax filing . . . really? Put that crap in the reader version if you must, after all it's free, but "WE" are trying to work here!

"THIS" is exactly, out of continued frustration, that I came looking to (cursing removed) because it seems that is all you can do with these people. I used to be able to simply "right click" on a comment to check it and remove it from view. Now, it's like fishing, maybe it works, maybe not, maybe if you click another comment (never mind it might change your page) and come back, it will work.

. . . seriously ? most of us here are trying to get our work done, to pay the subscription, revenue to Adobe, that pays the developers saleries. One starts to wonder, who is working for who here !

Just weighing in as yet another reverted Bridge 12 user. Came looking to see if the "New Window" function was restored before updating to latest version. Glad I checked first. Will continue with Bridge 12. Though I am begining to get concerned that I may have to find another method of working with files and folders if Adobe disables Bridge 12.

After initially opening a pdf file the first page images immediately and then a second later the pages freeze and after a time you can scroll the pages again. I have noticed that this is a result of repeatedly closing the Acrobat application rather than closing the pdf file within the application. To avoid the delay/freeze, close the file itself with, [Ctrl+W], or, click the "small x" under the main window icons in the upper right, or finally, from the main menu "File>Close"

While I did stick with 2018 for quite a while I am now able to run 2022 efficiently on Windows 10. I tried 2023. For me it was a train wreck. After one day I reverted to 2022. I just wanted to acknowledge that, because of your posts, I now have some hope that I can continue with 2022 for a long time yet!

Thank YOU ! For posting this, I have the same problem on Windows 10. It is not a functional scenario working on documents with multiple quantities and types of artwork in documnets such as newsletters. After one day of trying to work it out, I reverted to 2022.

I cannot speak to the use of the "free" version however, with my account I was (more easily than expected), able to reinstall the 2022 version. That said, even though I had removed the previous version when I installed 2023, all of my 2022 preferences and settings were correctly restored. A ray of hope in an otherwise difficult scenario.

Yes you can do that, however there is no folder tree in the additional tab and . . when you drag a file from one folder to another, the folder tree returns focus to the top of your file system. It used to be "sticky" in other words, the folder tree was unaffected by the movement of files.

so many band-aids here, adding to the possibles what I have found works best for me, rather than clearing recent files on occasion, I set my recent list to zero. my files behave much better now !!

Stop what you're doing and "go fish" Two years later and still can't open an avif file directly in Photoshop. However we can "Generate new landscapes in one click with neural filters" After finding and installing a plug-in I learn Illustrator will open these files. Maybe "avif" files should appear as an Illustrator file with a thumbnail in bridge. I mean, who doesn't start their photo work in Illustrator ?

Thank you Barb, I did follow your suggestion and actually read all the comments on that thread. I rarely come in here and probably should not have today. I'm an ole hack, started with PageMaker back in '91, and usually I can work out solutions when "new things" arise. Because I had cleard all of my fonts (a very painful process as 30% were PS fonts) I went to the CC Desktop to verify the Adobe fonts option was off. And silly me, saw the "Support Community" button on the bottom left and thought perhaps theres a preference toggle I missed. I appologize to you and Dov Isaacs for voicing my frustration. Thank you both for the extra effort that you put in helping others.

I know this topic/question has been asked and answered by Randy Hagan in other posts. However I believe the correct question is, why can't we get an option to dismiss the warning message in general? Most of us are adults here and accept the fact that support for Type 1 fonts is ending one year and seven months from now. I will sign a disclaimer if one is required to relieve Adobe of liability in this matter. I have removed all active postscript fonts from my system and yet, I will still get warnings for the hundreds of documents left to be patched. While I appreciate the ample leave time to address this change I reiterate that I am mature enough to take responsibility for my own actions during this transition. Perhaps a good thought for the day is, how many thousands of us will need to weight in on this matter before we can expect a solution to the original question, "How do I turn off the blue message bar at the bottom of my documents stating Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported starting 2023"? The actual correct answer is, you cannot turn off the warning!

This application went seriously downhill with Windows 10. Everysince last fall I have had nothing but issues with it. Uninstalled many times. A reinstalled older version was okay for a bit, then inevitably Adobe got an update through when I wasn't paying attention. It's the only thing on this machine (primarily an Adobe only workstation) that runs poorly. I have Version 8.1 installed on a Windows 7 machine (fortunately) and it runs super. Outruns 9.1 in the same folders on this Win 10 PC from ACROSS A NETWORK. How do these comments relate to your concerns? Well my Bridge too often can't "find" anything (not to mention the find command) unless I drop the view menu and select "Show Items from Subfolders". Then it's fine . . . until I change folders.

I can't speak to Mac's "Finder" but I can offer & confirm that Windows "File Explorer" has a known (difficult and possibly not always repairable) issue with "auto refresh". The idea of getting "cozy" with it, (in my lowly opinion) is a really bad idea. Prior to Bridge 2019, it was "Awesome". After having spent too much time trying to get it to get it to run smooth again, I am considering other options.

I ran this tool "Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool" on Windows 10, twice, in an attempt to clean up both 2018 & 19 Bridge uninstalls that I have done. I saw "NO" option for cleaning "Bridge." Apparently this app only works if the program is still installed. That way it shows up in the list. Is there a guide available to weed out entries in the registry and files/folders on the hard drives?
