Photoshop

Please add option to set the default value for Denoise AI, i find 50 is overly high i use about 10-25 max most time i want it at 15, but every time checkbox next to Denoise AI is clicked it defaults to 50 making whole photo look like wax, i know some people like that, but there should be a choice. because Denoise AI is resource hungry thng and sometimes fiddling with it too much crashing my Photoshop even though i have 32 GB or RAM and video 8 GB. Then every time i move the slider i have to update the AI Edit Status which is another reason Photoshop crashes and progress being lost. I am not reporting crashing issues because its been like this for countless versions, only need to be able to set default value for Denoise AI.    

I understand that rationale (more or less) of removing the 3D features in Photoshop and making them their own set of applications.  But being able to view and edit a 360 degree photo in Photoshop is BARELY a 3D tool.  In point of fact, everything needed to manipulate and view that image can be done using standard mathematics, and neither Open GL nor Direct X need be involved. No one will be buying Substance to work on spherical maps. And Photoshop is the perfect place to work on spherical maps for use elsewhere, including the Substance suite. Please give us an ability to work on spherical maps in Photoshop, where it makes sense.

I'm sure like me, you all have multiple Photoshop documents/projects on the go at the same time. Well as soon as you get to around 5 or more documents open at once, the tab list of documents no longer fit across the toolbar.It's also equally frustrating that the active tab you're currently working on doesn't just display the name of the psd, but also displays the name of the currently selected layer (like I care), the zoom level (why on earth?!) and the colour mode (meh?). I'm confident that there are ways in which Adobe could change the layout of the tabs and I have a few ideas which could work. Let me know what you think. Photoshop is pretty much the industry standard for concept art and digital drawing.I think it could become an even more powerful tool for artists by introducing dedicated ellipse guides for cylindrical forms and vehicle wheels, along with perspective guides for drawing objects and architectural forms.Thank you!

I photograph the winning entries in a national quilt competition every year, and I process around 100 quilt images in Photoshop. Each quilt needs to be corrected for sagging, buckling, uneven hanging, and perspective issues — all without distorting the quilt’s design.My workflow for every image includes: Straightening using ACR guides Perspective Warp for planar correction Puppet Warp for fine straightening Cropping Cloning to fill gaps created by warping Adding a consistent border for presentation This takes 20–25 minutes per quilt, adding up to 40–50 hours of manual editing. Why just horizontal or vertical guide lines? why don't you introduce angular guides or perhaps a function like the one in illustratore "make guide" ?

Photoshop desktop is just not that great for left-handed users. My greatest frustration with it is the fact that there seems to be no option to have the scrollbars on any panel be on the left side instead of right. Because of this right-handed interface, my left hand often covers the layers in my layer panel when I try to reach the scrollbar. Left-handed scrollbars is a feature that has been brought up for so, so many years already, please make it finally happen this year! This has been brought up since 6 whole years ago and still nothing has been done to make scrolling, an integral part of the PS interface, left-handed user friendly.

The Move Tool currently defaults ot Auto-Select being enabled by default. This was changed a few years ago, we're past all the confusion this caused, so we've had time to see how well this change worked (or not).   Argument for keeping it: New users who don't understand layers can click on this on the image to move them, and this can be intuitive for someone completely new to Photoshop.   Unfortunately, in my experience (doing support on /r/Photoshop and holding Photoshop classes) this option being enabled by default causes more problems than it solves, and experienced users tend to turn it off. With overlapping layers it is easy to move the wrong layer as it will usually grab the top layer, making it "impossible" to move the desired layer.Example: Here, clicking the icon will grab the text layer. When selecting a tool such as Crop, a panel opens which covers part of the workspace for the image being edited.  The options menu should open in a moveable window that the user can resize and shift around to a convenient location on the screen instead of automatically obscuring part of the image.  Working space on a laptop screen is small enough already; a moveable window would help make the most of the limited space available.  And get rid of crop suggestions!  They are a waste of space and processing resources.

Hello,I think it would be great if a "restore session on start" feature were added, just like in web browsers.I tried implementing this using JSX (PhotoshopSessionManager), but it would be ideal if it were available natively across all applications.Thanks. Great Apps. I like it.

Currently, the latest version of Photoshop v27.10.0 will only produce Intel droplets and not Apple Silicon droplets. With the ending of support for Rosetta not too far in the future we would like to see this addressed so that we can begin to upgrade our collection of droplets to be native. 

Hi, first, I’m coming from a good place with this feedback. In the latest updates to Photoshop, it feels like you guys have been pushing AI a little too much.I understand that AI is inevitable at this point, and I’m not against AI being part of Photoshop. However, I hope Adobe doesn’t put all its eggs in one basket. Instead of focusing so much on AI, why not improve the software’s speed and performance? For example, moving a layer outside of an artboard can take a noticeable amount of time, which is a relatively simple action.I would really like to see more focus on Photoshop’s speed, responsiveness, stability, software refinement, overall performance, and quality-of-life improvements. When using free transform, scale, skew, distort, warp, ect. we are stuck with only being able to use the bounding box's square 90 degree default orientation. I think we need to be able to rotate the orientation of the bounding box without rotating the object so that we can perform transforms at angles other than true vertical and horizontal.   Like for example if I want to make box man longer when he's square with the canvas, easy peasy.     But if I want to do the same transform when hes at an angle, it wont work the same and ends up skewing him instead of just streatching him longer.   If we could rotate the transform box to match the objects orientation then we could easily do transforms at any angle, but currently the only way seems to be to rotate, apply transform, scale, and then rotate to its original position. I would like Adobe to add a customizable content-filtering system for Adobe Stock imagery that appears within Photoshop and other Adobe applications. Currently, users have very limited control over the kinds of stock images that appear in searches, recommendations, and other areas of the Adobe interface. While Adobe already restricts explicit sexual content and nudity, there can still be imagery including revealing clothing, lingerie, swimwear, suggestive posing, sexualized glamour photography, or other content that some users may strongly prefer not to see. Implementing a user-friendly filtering system could give users a cleaner, more enjoyable experience using the app. A simple filter system could include options like: Standard, Strict/Family-Safe, or Custom. Custom settings could let users control more of what they do/don’t see, allowing the removal of images including: lingerie or underwear, revealing clothing, suggestive or sexualized poses, and any other “sensitive” content. Adobe, please add WebP as an option in the Export As dialog. The current option is not acceptable. I want the same interface options for WebP as PNG, JPG, etc. when I choose to export for the web. WebP is becoming very popular and I'm surprised you haven't included it yet.

Batch tasks already created with a button, like applying printer color profiles to individual images, converting RGB to CMYK, jpeg to Tiff etc. These are time consuming tasks if done individually and the batch function is clunky. We have to create with the video recording. Really, hasn’t technology come further than that. Use AI to do this for us. We are on tight schedules and shortcuts like this save time.Start thinking about what would really benefit the user, not some fancy one off thing that less than 2 % of users will actually use. 

Many times a mask is used to separate a subject from a background. This feature will enable one mask for the subject to be connected to a “mirror mask” that will be updated inversely according to modifications to the original.For example, if you reduce the contour of the subject mask, the “mirror mask” of the background is enhanced to the same pixels that were reduced from the subject mask. instead of updating 2 masks continuously,  a solution that never achieves the aimed precise separation. 

Would love to see edge feather added to the Pen Tool.  Mocha Pro has had this for a very long time and it doesn't seem to be on Adobe's radar.  Would be super powerful and is much needed IMO.  For those of you who haven't seen it before I have attached a quick screen capture that illustrates what it looks like and I have provided a video link that demonstrates how it's used in Mocha.  Having this in PS would be a big step forward.  https://vimeo.com/258256789

Opening image with .heic extension requires Windows plugin from microsoft store which is very old and does not support 10 bit .heic files made by my cellphone while they open just fine in latest Lightroom.I would think Adobe Camera Raw should also support HEIC import but there is no option to directly open HEIC format in ACR!  

I want to save all my CC app prefs to the cloud, as I am constantly loosing them in system & program updates. If they were as easily downloadable as fonts or plug ins that would be awesome.

I noticed that oklab (perceptual) method of showing colors was added to the gradient tool, and suggest that it be added as an option of displaying and choosing colors more accurately. Here is a well known example of blue color inaccuracy with curent methods:The left is what Oklab HSB/HSV would look like while on the right is the default RGB HSB/HSV that Photoshop currently uses. It would also help solving color distotions when changing opacity and blend modes, because currently the only blend mode in photoshop that doesn't distort hues is Multiply.Left is opacity at 50% using RGB methodRight is opacity at 50% using Oklab method (simulated) using "lighten" blend mode with a different colorLeft is currentRight is Oklab (simulated)

OKLCH (a cylindrical representation of the OKLAB colorspace) brings true perceptual uniformity, consistent lightness across hues, predictable color relationships, and device independence with wide gamut support. It is included in the CSS Color Module Level 4 spec, already has wide support across browsers, and naturally pairs with the Accessible Perceptual Contrast Algorithm (APCA) that forms the basis of WCAG 3.0 guidelines for accessible color contrast. Adobe should support OKLCH as a first-class citizen of its color management tools—including swatches and color pickers—across all its applications. 

When saving a brush preset, we are able to save the color, which is great. I do a lot of masking work where I need to bounce back and forth between white and black. Which means when I save a brush, I need both the foreground color and the background color to be saved specifically like that. But when you grab a custom brush, it only remembers the foreground color that you had saved. So let's say, for instance, that you have your foreground and background color both set to red. And then you would like to use one of your custom brushes, so you select it. The foreground color will now switch to your saved color, but the background color will continue to be red. We should have an option when saving brushes to remember both foreground and background color. This is more efficient and eliminates extra steps when we need something specific.
