Photoshop

I am making a banner for a printer who is requiring it to be 800 dpi. I've never been asked for 800, it's always been 72 or 300, so I'm guessing this is something I need to learn in case it becomes the new norm. I've tried opening the original image in Photoshop, doing Convert to Profile > CMYK, making any changes to the photo I need to make, and then Image Size > constrain dimensions, Resample: Preserve Details 2.0, setting the resolution to 800, and then saving it. Then I embed the file into my main photoshop file, the printer's template, which is already 800 resolution using the same process as above. I've tried converting the images to smart objects, and as layers. There's outlined text, 3 shapes, a few .ai files for marks and the logo. Every time I submit it to the printer, it comes back saying: Resolution of color and grayscale images is lower than 799 pixels per inch, continuous tone image resolution lower than specified. I have a virtual machine Oracle VirtualBox 6.1 installed. Windows 10 Pro 22H2 is installed on this VM. Photoshop 26.9 and 26.10 when launched on the VM with this OS, an error appears. On the host machine running the same OS, the program works correctly. On the same virtual machine, but running Windows 11 Pro 23H2, the program works correctly. It does not start only on the VM running Windows 10! This problem did not occur on earlier versions of Photoshop.

I am on version 25.7.0 and the "show transform controls" option is missing from the top bar now and instead there is a gear icon that you have to open with 4 options and click it in there. Is there any way I can get that back in the top bar as shown in the image below?

Hi there I love photoshop and often use camera raw filter, my only problem with it is that is automatically flattens into the image and you cant change settings after or c/p settings to other images.I think the camera raw filter plugin should be able to be a smart filter or similar. This would be useful so that users can edit camera raw settings afterwards, undo the edit after more changes have been made, and potentially copy and paste settings to other images. Thanks for reading my suggestion 🙂

PS 24.7.0 When I try to render a video, I get an "initializing video" progress which takes about 30 seconds and then gets stuck at the end (> minutes, then I quit) I've had this in some other versions, seems the same bug is back again. PS 2022 (23.5.5) renders the same .psd without any issues whatsoever. (When I click 'Export > Render Video' the Render Video window pops up instantly) MacStudio M1 Max, OSX 12.6.8

Hi, I am trying to create an image of a pint glass like this in photoshop but no matter what prompt I enter it provides pint glasses with tapered or curved edges. Curious if anyone has any guidance on what prompt to enter?

So I just updated Photoshop to the latest version (2024, 25.1), and all my 3D LUT files I had are gone. I've put them back into the folder (C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop 2022 (there is no other folder, 2023 or 2024)/Presets/3DLUTs) but they will not show up in the Color Balance drop-down list. I've restarted Photoshop and the computer, but nothing works. I can apply the LUTs one by one to an image, but even then it doesn't appear in the drop-down list, and that's less than ideal. I need them back in my drop-down list. Is there a fix for this? I'm running Windows 10.

En el Ps anterior al que ahora rula, había un utilísimo atajo de teclado para aumentar el tamaño y la dureza de lospinceles que consistía en presionar el pincel como si estuvieras pintando mientras mantenías presionados Ctrl y cmd a la vez . Desplazando el pincel en vertical aumentabas la dureza - creo - y en horizontal  el tamaño, Esto era realmente útil cuando estás editan fotos y no puedes pararte a picar el memú del pincel y ir probando el tamaño adecuado que buscas . Se sabe ¿porqué se ha eliminado o dónde lo puedo activar?

When Sidecar is enabled and my iPad Pro is setup as a separate display Photoshop is not recognizing my internal AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics card, instead instead it defaults to my MBP's integrated graphics.  The effect of this is screen redraw artifacts. Or the screen won't redraw at all even though if you save the document and reopen it the layer did move. When you disconnect Sidecar and restart Photoshop everything operates properly. My configuration is: 16" Macbook Pro2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i964 GB MemoryAMD Radeon Pro 5500M (Internal)Radeon RX Vega 64 8 GB (eGPU)Wacom Cintiq Pro 24" (connected via eGPU)MacOS 10.15.5PS 21.2

I do my best to not use Adobe Bridge. It has a nice batch renaming function; but for the most part, it's like a vestigial appendage: I haven't had any need or desire to use it in over 10 years. For all these years, when I close a file in Photoshop, Bridge would auto launch and I would have to keep closing it. It was extremely irritating. I'm on a work computer that does not have Bridge installed. Every time I use Cmd-Shift-W to close a file in Photoshop, the Creative Cloud desktop app is auto launching and attempting to install Bridge. PLEASE STOP THIS. I would prefer to have the choice to only use the apps I want to use and for the Adobe suite to not keep trying to do something that I do not want it to do. This has been happening for years. I may have submitted a feature request years ago about it. It's very frustrating. Thank you.

Hi All,This is my first post ,I’m using Photoshop version 24.7,      and I’m not familiar with scripting.I want to use the “Front Image” option in the Crop Tool to copy the width, height, and resolution from one image, and apply those exact crop dimensions to a different (target) image.When I try to record this using an Action, Photoshop does not store the Front Image dimensions — it only records the crop, not the size reference. Is there any way to copy dimensions from one image using “Front Image” and apply them automatically to another image, either through an Action or a ready-made script?I’m looking for a solution where I don’t have to manually type the width/height every time.Since I’m not familiar with scripting, I’d appreciate it if someone could share a script that does this.Thank you in advance!

just like the title says. whenever i update the programme/reopen it, my keyboard shortcuts and other preferences get reset. i've tried saving over the default shortcuts, making my own separately named shortcut list, etc, and yet my shortcuts keep getting overridden every time i reopen the programme. i make sure that i save my settings every time i adjust my preferences so it can't be that i just "forgot", and it's impossible that i'm forgetting to save my preferences every time i use photoshop when i use it almost daily. it's very annoying to re-do all my preferences whether i want to doodle or do my homework. and it's not reasonable to keep photoshop open forever because having it open in the background while i'm using other heavy programmes like maya or unity makes my laptop turn into the sun. if anyone has advice to prevent this from happening again or any reasons why this is even happening, please let me know.
