Photoshop

Just updated to Photoshop 26.9. Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Photoshop crashes on launch with a generic dialog. If I hold down Shift-Ctrl-Alt at launch to reset preferences, I get a UAC dialog saying Photoshop 2023 needs permissions. I do not have PS 2023 installed. I have uninstalled PS 26, removed preferences manually, and reinstalled. Same crash. The GPUSniffer does run and the log shows it exits normally (although I don't have a supported GPU.)  PS 25.12.4 works fine. I'm less concerned about PS 26.9 not working (this is not my graphics workstation and version 25 still works) as I am wondering about the UAC prompt. Why is there a UAC dialog for PS 2023? If I cancel it, PS doesn't try to launch. If I enter an admin password, PS crashes without the prefs reset dialog. Launching PS 26.9 on the Mac with Cmd-Opt-Shift displays the prefs delete dialog correctly, with no Admin password request. 

Since yesterday I have problem with Photoshop 25.1 on my M1 Max Macbook Pro.Everytime I summon camera raw, it says "Camera Raw requires graphics processor acceleration to edit photos." I was using it daily until a couple of days ago. I'm also attaching a couple of screenshots to see it see my gpu but still...Maybe it was the beta I installed and then uninstalled that messed it up?Also I noticed that when you have the beta installed if you open a 16bit file, Photoshop will crash.

when attempting to open a photo in Photoshop on my HP Laptop, details below, the photo appears in the layers tab bottom right, but not in the workspace /desktop: It is a constant Black / White strobe. Hello,I was wondering if there's a way to copy a smart object's transform properties and paste them onto a different smart object, similar to smart filters or layer styles.From my research, it's not possible to do normally. Does anyone know of a script or is willing to make one for a price?

Recently PS has decided to open any image I have (all jpegs) in RGB by default and I'm desperate to change it back. Even if I create a new canvas and drag a file in the file is converted to RGB. I've reset the preferences but with no success. I'm a very basic user so haven't changed any settings and never had this problem before! I'm using CS6 on Windows. Any help would be amazing as I am very stuck! 

Previously, I only ever loaded my PhotoShop CS5 Extended on my desktop. Recently I installed it on my new laptop. When I used for first time it worked but complained that I reached the max number of devices (2)....BUT THIS IS THE 2ND.I did have a live chat with support but they could not resolve.Although CS5 is older, it has everything I need. Agent suggested upgrading to Cloud version , but I am on a fixed income and cannot afford.Any ideas on how to resolve would be greatly appreciated.

So it seems that photoshop limits the adjustment brush sizes to 5000 pixels.Now with the new Mavic 4 pro I am using for work, and its 100MP sensor, it is really quite small for some adjustments. It would be really helpful if the limit was way bigger. 

I have today gone into Photoshop. Imported an image. Then nothing. P/S has completely frozen. nothing works. Indeed I have had to use Task manager to close it down..Tried the re-set i.e  ctrl/alt/shift on opening, still nothing..Uninstalled and re-installed..Again no change, absolutely nothing, refuses to work..I have Beta installed and this works..My photoshop is the latest version with all updates..Any ideas?

I just purchased a new computer.. and when trying the photoshop 2025 I have on it... It seems that it is quite different. After Bitmapping someting for a nice halftone, the image zooms way out and goes to the corner. So everytime I halftone, I have to grab and recenter, and zoom back into my project.  Drives me nuts! Also, The halftones seem different as well... I use Photoshop for my screen print company.  But for some reason it behaves differently on my new Mac Mini.  I guess I just gotta get to know it. But the corner and zoom out issue is enough to drive me up the wall.Thanks

The version of photoshop 22.2 was supposed to be available for download until August 2023 in the desktop Creative cloud. It does not seem available anymore, at least I cannot find it. I have seen that other people have complained about the same thing. 

I can't seem to make my Ellipse properties panel appear.   When I have the Ellipse tool selected or an ellipse in my document, Windows>Properties only seems to show a properies panel for the document, not the ellipse tool.   The ellipse tool properties also don't seem to appear at the top of the screen even though the properties for other tools, e.g., brush or paint bucket tool do appear there.    I'm looking for Fill, Stroke, stuff like that.   I've attached a screenshot. Windows 10 64 bit Photoshop Creative Cloud Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.12.1 20241213.r.994 e7ca8b4 x64 Thanks in advance.

PS 26.8.1 I have an RGB photo on a layer. I want to have the top of the photo gradually go out of focus.I have asked Gen Fill to select subject (a vase with flowers). I took the generated selection of the subject and selected the inverse. I made that into an alpha channel. I duplicated that Alpha channel. I now have an alpha channel with the foreground black and the background white, and I want to take the white area in the alpha channel and make a gradient white to black.  What used to happen is that with only the Alpha channel selected (RGB no eyeballs) I could add a gradient to just one Alpha channel. But what's happening now is when I draw the gradient, with only the Alpha channel selected, it creates a gradient fill mask over the background layer, and the Alpha channel is unaffected. I see no way to get the gradient on the Alpha channel, like in the past. What has changed? I can only edit a project properly on my laptop, but if I switch to another computer, even if signed in, I can see my project, open it and add new things to it, but cannot access my previous layers to edit the original. What am I missing? Example: working on a logo, can edit it... switches to other computer and cant edit the text, or anything. It wont work.  Any hints on troubleshooting or is this a bug?

Even though the date on the Photoshop app on my iPad Pro shows the correct date when I export it as a png it saves as a random date. 

got blue screened while trying to export a jpg with minor adjustments from camera raw. event id 41, source kernel power. no idea why and idk if itll happen again but i  know wanna why and if theres anything i can do to stop it from happening again. my computers not the issue i have 16gb ram, a 4050 and an i7 and ive been using photoshop forever never had this problem but never used camera raw to edit a jpg tho so not sure if i did something wrong.

Hi Everyone! I recently built myself a PC, and plugged in my drawing tablet (Goamon PD1161) and I started to use Photoshop, but everytime I drew with it for some reason or another the pen would quickly drag up to the top left corner of the canvas and draw there. I wondered if this had happened to anyone else, or if it was an issue with my tablet? If anyone has any ideas that would be amazingly helpful, as I've tried to reinstall drivers, unplug and plug it in, refresh settings, and I truly don't know where to go from here. Thank you for your help 🙂 

....I have a copy of Photoshop CS2, but now on my new PC I'm stuck trying to instal it at the point ware I need to enter a "Authorization Code" for which I don't have.  I need to get this code so that I may proceed.

I've been noticing a small bug in Photoshop on Windows for quite some time. When I press Windows key + V to paste an image from the clipboard history, Photoshop sometimes pastes the wrong image—not the image I selected from the history, but the one before or after it. Whereas what I clicked should have been pasted... This happens in many versions of Photoshop and causes confusion. Please fix this issue in a future update.
