Photoshop Elements

Recently downloaded PSE2024 on OSX. Imported around 6,000 pics. Every few days, Organizer catalogue becomes corrupted. Lots of greys pics with a "?" in the middle. "Reconnect all missing files" says ~3,900 are missing and tries to download them from the cloud and never finds any (cloud sync is switched off and always has been so not sure why PSE thinks they may be there). None of the 3,900 pics are actually missing. But if I try to reimport them, Organizer says there are no new files! So I am stuck. Optimizing the catalogue runs to completion. Makes no difference to the result. I have had to create a new catalogue and start again (hours of stacking, versioning, tagging etc. etc.) about 4 times. Not going to do it again. Any ideas what ths issue is or is P 2024 on OSX just not fit for purpose?

I own Adobe Elements 2024 and it's not working properly with my Surface Pro 7 with its pen. The pen works just fine with Windows 11 Paint and within the Ink test. Within those programs, I can use pen pressure to control the stroke width/opacity.There are also problems with misalignment. Sometimes the marks from brushes show up a couple of inches below and to the right of where I thought that I was placing them.Here's what I've done so far:1) Set the UI scaling factor to Automatic under Edit /Preferences / Display & Cursor2) Checked High DPI scaling within system folder C / Programs / Adobe / Photoshop Elements 2021 /PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe / Properties / Compatibility / Changed High DPI settings / check High DPI scaling and under that activate System. Then OK and Apply. Closed everything.Then opened PSE. 

When I copy and paste an image from one tab to another I was then able to slide the pasted image around and over the first image with the hand tool, this no longer works. Why? It seems that the images have been merged. I am not technical so simple answers please, explain jargon and how I navigate to the answer, thanks. (December 2023)

A couple of minutes ago I upgrade from 2014 to 2024. I paid by creditcard. I was directed to a site with more products that I can buy, but  no downloadbutton. When I chat they say they will connect me to agent. Doesn't happen. Than the conversation is seen as being ended. I paid now 124,63 euro but get no delivery. Adobe says in their chat that they see no  buy from me! How is that possible? Can you turn back the payment on my creditcard please? If i pay for software I would like to get the software delivered. adobe doesn't do that!!!

I am seeking guidance from more experienced PSE users in accomplishing my objectives without losing photos, catalog, tags etc from my collection in PSE 2019.  In summary, I have an extensive library of photos from several years of collecting.  I want to accomplish three separate tasks and I am fearful of messing this up and losing some of my life collection of photos and the tags I have created in organizing.  My three objectives are as follows: 1)  Shorten my current file path to my PSE photos, catalog & information tags without losing photos and associated data, tags etc or becoming disconnected.  My current file path on my existing IMac has become much too lengthy with empty folders in the path from numerous past PSE upgrades of creating newly named folders out of fear of losing photos..  Here is an actual example of my current path to photo folders:  Hard Drive: Photos Collection / Volumes / Photos Collection / Volumes / Photo Librar

I'm finding Adobe support to be (literally) non-existent when it comes to product useage, and was hoping someone here might be able to assist ? This question has been asked before, but never answered.Photoshop Elements 14 - process multiple files.I am reducing the file size of multiple files in a deep sub-folder structure. I intended to reduce the size of EACH file, whilst LEAVING IT IN PLACE.As 'source', I have selected the root folder which contains all the sub (and sub-sub etc) folders.I have selected "include all subfolders"I have selected "same as source" as the destination. (YES, I understand this will over-write the original files.).I assumed this would read all of the files in the subfolders, and write them back INTO THE SAME SUBFOLDERS.In other words, the files would be processed and replaced with the processed version, BUT IN THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATIONS. Hello all -I've upgraded to a macbook M1 and all is well except when I try to update PS Elements 2021 to 2021.3. The install gets to 88% & then I receive an error 146 message. My creative cloud files are up-to-date as I also use LR & PS. (I haven't completely abandoned Elements for PS so have not upgraded to most recent version.) Online instructions on how to fix seem to apply to Windows. I've tried to find the file in the error message below - Systems/Volumes/Data with no luck. I'm at a loss related to the Adobe files. I am trying to activate Mac Photoshop Elements 2022 using its serial number.  I downloaded it on September 27, 2023, and when I tied to install it, I couldn’t because at the time it required Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina), and I was on OS 10.14 (Mojave).  I got a newer Mac, and which is now Mac OS 14 (Sonoma) and installed it.  I cannot activate it because I have an invalid serial number.  I got my serial number from https://account.adobe.com/product.  When I used the serial number the program says it is invalid.  Please help me.  Thanks

I'm trying to import an MP4 I took on my Samsung phone. I get this error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"  I was able to import it into Premiere Elements, and edited it slightly and exported it, making sure it was in the H.264 format. The edited file still will not import in Photoshop Elements 2023.  When I look at the list of formats I can import, it only lists image file formats (jpg etc), not video formats. I'm pretty sure Photoshop Elements can import video, no? 

I'm using Photoshop Elements 19.0 on Windows 10 and an iPhone 7. I click Import from Camera and then Get Photos from Apple iPhone.  After a moment, it finishes scanning the photos on my phone and displays thumbnails in the Photo Downloader window.  For almost every photo on my phone, I see two copies in the downloader window -- same filename, same date, same size, same thumbnail.  Why?  How do I fix this?  It is a huge pain to have to manually clean up the duplicates that Photoshop Elements is creating.Thanks.

I recently upgraded to Elements 2024 and now cannot work on raw files from my admittedly rather old Canon 1DS.  That camera unfortunately calls the raw files TIF which Elements 2019 correctly identifies as a raw file and lets me do photoshop type stuff.  2024 just thinks it's a very tiny regular tif file.  Please help!

I am running PSE 2024 and I wanted to adjust my catalogue in the Organizer so I can find groups of people via their Facial tags.  I went through the Facial recognition in the People View and identified all the faces it had detected.  I then went through all of my pictures individually and marked/identified faces that weren't picked up by Facial recognition. (People looking down or profiles)   Now when I click on an image,  I can see the name of the identified person in the Image Tags section on the right but if I click on that person's name in the People Tags section it says there are no images available.    Sometimes if I select a person's name in the People Tags section a few images of that particular person will show up but definitely not all of the images that exist for that person in that album.  I'm not quite sure of the difference between the ones that show up and the ones that don't.    Is there some disconnect between

Hello I have a question. I'm trying to change a little the shape of the hat.  Now the problem is that when I select the hat - layer, and I go to Filter .-> Liquify, the new windows opened show just the hat, I can't see the image of the dog. So, I have to liquify the hat 'randomly'without actually see the shape I want to give because I can't see also the head of the dog.So what I should do? I wish to see both dog and hat (even if are in 2 separated layers). There's a way to liquify the hat by watching actually how it looks over the dog head?  (his name is "Argo" ) 😄Thank you in advance for the help! 

I have a MacBook Pro with OS 14.11. I downloaded Photoshop Elements and it appears in my Applications folded. When I click on the application I get a window with choices but when I click Edit, it appears that I have to re-register all over again with instal serial # etc. Why can't I open the application?

I have one PC, Windows 11, with two user (spouse) accounts using Elements Organizer with one shared Adobe account. Installed Elements 2024 and it installs globally for all users under the same Adobe account. When importing photos for one user into PS Organizer, then logging into the 2nd user, the photos are there as well. Remove them, and they are removed for the other user. This is what I want to do, and how do I accomplish this;- One PC with two Windows User Accounts- Use Photoshop Elements Organizer "with one Adobe account" on both Windows User Accounts "on the same PC". - Each user having access only to photos on their own Windows profile. Not by using "Albums".- Have separate catalogs and backups for each user of their own photos on the same PC machine using the same Adobe account. I hope I've explained clearly and have not been too confusing. I purchased PE 2024 seven days ago, installed it and created a fresh new catalog of my images. I checked that automatic creation is enabled - and I have enough space on the drive. But every time I run PE 14, I don't see any auto-build results. Why? Any idea? Kind regards,Michael

About to update my iMac to Sonoma but also need to update my Photoshop Elements which no longer runs on my recent iMac .  Don't want to purchase new PSE only to find that doesn't work either.

Hi, I have been researching for one month now, on how to move from Mac and Photos to PC and Photoshop Elements, and not been able to find an answer / guide. I have a Mac-book Pro where all our photos are stored and edited in the Photos app. The library file in the size of 550gb+ and includes all our photos sorted in albums and with edits etc. The Mac is about to give up now, and we do not want to buy a new Mac, since we have enough PC's, and want to move away from Apple anyway. So my question is:Is it possible to transfer the photos we have in Photos (Album structure and edits) from the Mac to a NAS and then run it all from our PC’s? And what would be the steps to do so? I am thinking of buying a Qnap 451+ NAS to store photos, music, backups etc. on. Thanks for your input!

Hi,I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 on Windows 10 64Bit VM silently but not getting any silent installation parameters.Can anyone help me on below points,1.Where can I get offline installer for Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024?2.What will be the silent install/uninstall parameters?3.Is it even possible to install Adobe Photoshop Elements silently on windows without using cloud package manager as per this link,Silently install and deploy Elements apps (adobe.com)4.If we can install it silently, How to activate is silently for all users? How to move adobe photoshop elements 2023 to a new computer windows 11 frpm 2009 Windows 10 updated from windows 8. Deactivate one on old computer and add to new faster  computer.

I have used my early copy of elements on my pc for years through several different versions of Windows up to and including 10, After a recent pc crash I tried to install it from the original disc but it comes up with the message that I need Internet Explorer v4 or higher and then stops the installation. I have IE11 installed and have been using Elements with Windows 10 since upgrading from Windows 7pro earlier this year. I am hoping to avoid spending loads of money on a newer copy if I download the free trial so would welcome any advice on how to carry on with the original programme.Geoff

 Hello...I'm having troubles just to move , more on the right side of canvas, the dog. Since I've created also a mask, everytime I try to move the dog, it move just the figure , or the mask, but not both together, so the mask, don't match perfectly anymore the dog, since I have to move it manually. I really try all the keys, ctrl , alt, etc.. but nothing to do, to select and move the two things together.So I will try to ask the forum.. please can you help?Thank you! here what happens if I try to select both.. it move only the subject.. or the wallpaper, or sometimes just the mask.. not together... I don't want to flatten the image, as I still need the mask...
