Photoshop Elements

It says that it can't activate because I already have 2 versions running. Not true as the hard drive on my old machine has been wiped.

Please have a dark program interface again. That's better for the eyes. That can not be so difficult to bring with an update... 

I have Windows 10 and just purchased PS Elements 2020. All importing went well and facial recognition took a while but finally the lower right showed all files had been analyzed. However, of the about 100 faces named, about 20 of them are showing a blank person icon for the profile photo and an exclamation point. Either one of these alone wouldn't cause concern (I know how to assign a profile photo and the exclamation mark simply means there are faces in there to be reviewed) but these particular faces will not bring up anything - media or faces - when clicked. Even if I click and leave it for an hour. Day after day, these same faces - some with only (12) photos and others with hundreds will not open for me to see the faces/media in the People tab.  Can anyone advise?  Thank you!~Aasha

Since 3 months I can no longer use the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 app on my Imac.... Bought that paid version last year. I have been able to work for years with the same program for Windows without any problems. Money thrown away??? If yes > I will never buy from Apple again!.....   

Several menu options are greyed-out in PS Elements 2020 under multiple top-level Menu items.I've tried signing-out of Elements to deactivate the license and signed-back in (re-entered) the serial # but the menu options still did not become available.What is the problem? Thanks,Gabe

I have Elements Version: 20.0 (20211214.Git.dot.221c6b7) x64 with OSX Monteray 12.1 operating System (Mac OS 10.16.0) all working on a brand new Mac mini (M1, 2020) 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD. My issue is that Elements freezes doing the simplest of tasks like adjusting Shadows/Highlights. The dialogue box just sits there when any of the sliders are moved with the rainbow wheel turning forever. When I launch Force Quit it doesn't show the app as not responding (see screenshot).  After leaving it for 2 hours on one occasion I eventually gave up & did a Force Quit. In Preferences, I have tried adjusting the available RAM from 50%-90% and switching off the Graphics Processor all to no avail. Any ideas before I revert to the ultra stable Version 18.0 on my Late 2012 imac 27?

In previous versions of Elements, it was possible to set the gray background/desktop/workspace/pasteboard/whatever so that it did not appear when the last image was closed. This was done in Preferences. However, I have looked up and down preferences in Elements 2020 and I have not found it. I have no use for this workspace to be showing when there is no image open. It must either be closed when closing the last image or I must actively use the app switcher to switch to another app, rather than just clicking on the Mac desktop. When I restart my Mac after Elements has been left running, the first thing I seee is the empty Elements workspace. Pointless. How can I set this so that the workspace does not appear when the last image is closed?

Hello, I have used Elements since V3 (and numerous other Photoshop programs since early '90s). I just moved from Elements 2018 to 2022 and am stumped by the Save As dialog box behavior. Hopefully I can describe this issue I am seeing: I am running on macOS 12 Monterey (which has it's own baggage) and have never used Elements Organizer and attempt to disable all connections to it as I have a decades old file organization Lets assume for example that I want to save in format PhotoshopSave As: <provide a filename>Then I alter the image and want to save another version of itProblem occurs with the Save As: dialog boxI used to simply highlight .<extension> and then overtype it and let Elements add the .psd suffix during the save. This is not currently working. If I select and overtype the '.' and/or the '.<extension> Elements lets you type 1 character then immediately appends the extension, creating gibberish- Save As: Untitled-1.psd- select '.psd' and attem

I had to reinstall PE 11 on my Mac but it insists on installing a Camera Raw update that won't install. Information on this site says to solve this problem by updating the Application Manager, but the link to do that constantly says the server is busy. I have a purchased copy of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 11, I recently purchased a new laptop that does not have a CD drive. My product is registered with Adobe. Is there a way to download a version of Elements 11? I followed the links to download an older version, but 11 was not specifically listed. When I try to put in my serial number it will not work. Where can I get a version of Elements 11 to install on my laptop? Thanks Todd

Currently have Elements 20.  When trying to open camera raw (.dng) file created by Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the editor gives following message: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. I could open the same photo which Samsung created as a .jpg file, but I am not sure that it is the same thing.  my camera raw version is 12.0.0.321 and the update button is grayed out indicating no update available.  If this is so, will an upgrade to Elements 22 solve the problem?

Does Photoshop Elements 2019 work with Windows 11?

I have used elements for at least 8 years, probably more and have always used folders for each years then sub didvide into months so when I upload the photos go into each month in their relevant dates. I always do the months at the start of each year, to make things easy on each upload. I tried doing this years by adding the folders into the memory card not using elements but the month folders just disappeared. I then tried to add the folders within the app but they just dont come up when you add the photos, so they are just stored within the year as random date uploads and is difficult to follow. This used to be simple to do  what is going on now to make things difficult again. Cheers 

I bought Adobe Elements from the Apple App Store in March 2021; I never got a serial number (no box, no disc, just a receipt from Apple with their own transaction number).   How do I avoid the Monterey hang-on-launch bug? 

I am using Photoshop Elements 2020. Recently, I've been trying to do a project where you merge two images together, so I looked for Photomerge. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere, and not many posts on this forum helped me resolve this problem. I tried: Looking under EnhanceLooking under Edit for a "Guided" FolderResetting my Preferences Any insight? Or is Photomerge not available of P.E. 2020?

My photo viewer app creates aliases of images i want to edit later, so I have a folder full of aliases. Let's say I have an image open and I say, "That's cool, I wonder where the original is?" In older versions of Elements, which opened each image in a separate window, I could use the Mac trick of command-clicking on the title bar of the image, which would open a popup list of the folder hierarchy showing in which folder that image was located. In the current tabbed version of Elements, I can no longer do this. How can I quickly find out where the original of an opened image is located?

Suddenly, when using Elements, I see a "wait" arrow pointer when using just about any brush. For example, when using the blur tool, which involves holding down the mouse pointer and "rubbing" it over the part of the image you want to affect, it always turns into an animated "wait" cursor which consists of a small circle of six smaller chasing circles. I have never seen this cursor before in my life before now, after many years of using different versions of elements, or in any other piece of software. This happens when using low-processor intensive, small brushes, such as the soft round 9 pixels blur brush. It also happens with dodge/burn, eraser, healing brush, etc. This started happening even though I had made no changes to the Mac or Elements. The cursor appears after about one or two seconds. Whatever operation I am doing, such as doge/burn, seems to continue unaffected even after the cursor appears, so the cursor seems to be pointless and it is very distracting. Adv

Advice please! Re. PSE12 under Windows 10 - I have 'apparently' successfully installed PSE12 onto my HP 17" HD laptop with no difficulty but have NOT yet transferred any images. Prior to doing so (knowing that PSE14 and above is ok on W.10), are there any serious compatabilitty issues known? OR is it simply that PSE12 cannot 'benefit' from all that W.10 offers? Simply, will it work OK?? Clearly from the community postings, many people ARE using PSE 12 on W.10 and apart from the specific (limited?) queries, presumably with some success. Should I continue with my installation???! Regards, Dikda

Hello, I need some help with Editor workspace and selecting Graphics.I want to add my images to the graphic catalog in PSE 2020. I used to be able to do that in a previous version, but the method I used does not work with the 2020 version. My images are included when I am in Editor and I select Graphics to add a background, but I get an error message that says the image can't be found. So, I have two questions: How can I add my own images to the Graphics file and                   Why am I getting an error message when I select one of my files?

Hello,I can't find this answer anywhere. I like to use Expert Mode but can't find how to access Photomerge in Expert Mode in the 2021 version. I don't want to use Guided Mode. Is Photomerge still available under Expert? If so, how in the world do I access it?Thanks!

Vous devez peut-être installer les dernières mises à jour de votre système d'exploitation".Je  suis sous windows 10 version 20H2 et microsoft edge... que faire ?Dans l'attente d'un retour...Bien à vous

Hi I cannot activate Photoshop Elements 14 on a new installed PC. Installs correctly, but when I enter the serial number, I get a message indicating that I need to Contact Customer Support. Support has confirmed it is a vlid serial number and to post here. What do I do? Have same issue with Premiere Elementrs 14. Thanks.

I have tried to input my folders into the program twice,first time perfectly second time a diaster. The second time I followed tje prompts and it opened the folder for me to select an image.The first time it just highlighted the folder name and allowed me to go to the next folder and select and it highlighted te second.This time when I do it the folder opens and all the images are shone,as if I wanted to select a single image.That never happened the first time,did I not do something correct? Also when I select a folder and it opens can I select all files instead of going to each one and highlighting them.
