Photoshop Elements

Hi! I've purchased PE 2019 from the Apple store a while ago. I have recently upgraded my iMac to Mac os Big Sur. Since the upgrade, PE is not working properly: Camera Raw is not opening. When I work on an image, it disappears when I click on the mouse... I have downloaded the application again from the Apple store, but it doesn't change anything. Can you help me to fix this?

Trying to install Element 2021 from CD. The "Intalltion Options" window is very small and the maximize button is not active. Therefore, I can not fill in the Installation Options and move to the next screen to install in the product. Tried changing screen resolution -- didn't work. Tried changing Windows Display Scale -- didn't work.How can I get this to work?

First, am I correct in understanding that "Backup Catalog" makes a backup of not only the Elements' "Catalog" but also the entire photo library that the Catalog points to? When you select "Backup Catalog" in Photoshop Elements 2020 (Windows), then select Full Backup, the resulting files and folders bear no resemblance to the original. It looks totally proprietary. Why? For backing up one's photo library, is it okay to use a separate backup program (e.g., Syncback), provided it retains the same folder structure as the original and retains all attributes and timestamps? Likewise, how about simply making a copy of the catalog in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs? I prefer to avoid proprietary backup schemes because the results are inaccessible and unusable if corrupted in the slightest way. ----Update: Case closed.  Thanks to the kind folks here I was able to accomplish my goal of putting the photos and the catalog on an external USB drive. Ok so I haven't any issues using this program until today.Yesterday I spent 3 hours editing wedding pictures with no issues.Today the program won't even open. Any suggestions?  

Hi There, hoping someone can help. I am using Elements 2021 and I use the Guided Section a lot.  I especially am having issues with when I am "painting the background" black and White.  I use it a lot and it is usually fine but for some reason now when I select the black and white selection brush and "paint" the selected area, the black and white is very very faint, not dark enough.  I don't know who to fix this and don't want to keep going over the area, but the impact of applying black and white is almost absent now.  any one out there know how to fix this?

I can't seem to grasp layer and adjustment masks, and how to use them effectively.  I am working on a project.  It calls for putting an image of a person in a field of flowers (I have both photos - the field of flowers and the person).  I want the person to be partially obscured by the flowers.  My thought was to open the field of flowers (image 1), then copy the person to it (image 2), then add a layer mask of the first image (the field) and "paint away" the portion of that image that obscures the person.  But I obviously am doing lots of things wrong.I'm using PSE 15.I've watched videos, read my user guide, even bought a book on PSE, but I just can't seem to do this.Any help greatly appreciated.  I hope I've explained what I'm trying to do clearly enough that someone can tell me how to do it.Here's the effect I want:I have the photo of the grass and dandelions, and the photo of a person.  Is it possible to drop her into the photo of the field, as sh

I tried everything and couldn't get editor to open after I had used it just fine, All of a sudden it just quit so I finally decided I would try the old unitstall reinstall trick however I can no longer find a link for Photoshop 19.  How do I reinstall it?  I have my serial number but the only links out there are for Photoshop Elements 2020 and 2021

Hi folks - help!! We use Photoshop Elements for designing text panels, and Calibri is our text of choice. But we have been searching and searching for a way to remove ligatures to no avail - there is no character panel in Elements, and any changes done in the Preferences settings do not fix the issue.  Please help, we will be forever in your debt 🙂 Museumthings

I have been using Photoshop Elements 14 on my PC for years but I am unable to install it on my new latop - I am told I have the maximum installations and should  deactivate one, but I cannot access my old laptop as it is not working - it will not power up  Any help, please?

I have a student working in Photoshop Elements 2020.  When he opens a Raw file, he isn't seeing an RGB histogram...just a luminosity histogram.  Where is the control to bring back the RGB histogram? Mary Lou

I want to delete photos from my Organizer, but when I try I get message that photos are locked or read only.I checked my memory card and it is unlocked. I have been having problems with PSE 20 on a MacBookfor a month now. I can't edit photos. Too bad there seems to be no phone support for PSE because I would be willing to pay a "reasonable" fee to try to solve my problem. It seems to have started when I combined Nikon Capture NX-D  and View NX-1 software with PSE. I backed up my photos thinking I could then delete and reinstall from the backup.  But now my backup seems to be worthless if the photos are locked.

in premiere elements 2020 im trying to do the replace background and i can do everything, i can move the pictureand resize it but when i try and refine the edges i can only add but not subtract. does anyone know how to fix it? its updates and space on computer so i dont know what to do

This should be easy and intutive, and I think I've done this in the past.  I've got 22 photos in one folder in Organizer, but not in the order I want them.  I would think I could select one thumbnail photo and drag it to where I want it in the order of the photos.  When I have them in the order I want, I then want to rename them all so the naming is in the order I want them so I can load them to a photo website and they will be in the order I want them.   Help.

How can i used a saved layer in many pictures

I’m in the process of learning how to use Organizer and am confused about how to handle my raw photos.  I shoot in JPEG and raw, but at this time I’m not editing the raw (too steep of a learning curve for right now).  Is there a simple way I can import/organize my photos so I have the raw when I’m ready for them, but in the mean time they aren’t in the way of viewing and working with the JPEG photos?

bonjour tout le monde, j'ai changé de PC il y a quelque mois, j'ai installé mon photoshop element 15 qui fonctionnais bien jusqu'à aujourd'hui, et d'un coup il s'est mis à beuguer, j'ai donc désinstallé et réinstallé et je reçois un message en espagnol (il me semble comprendre que mon produit est enregistré trop de fois) je ne parviens pas à faire l'étape suivante 😞 

In resetting up PSE21, PSE Organizer used a Catalog Location path that is not correct. Now I have unwanted folders in the Organizer that I cannot delete. The obvious solution seems to be to delete that path and set a new one by creating a catalog for the path I want Organizer to use to locate and save my photos. What is the downside if I do this, or is another solution preferrable? Ex: create a new catalog?
