Premiere (Beta)

 I run Enhance audio on a 40 minute clip (takes a while) then I split it with the razor tool the Enhance audio rescans the clip as if it was a brand new one. This takes a long time to rescan.  Not sure if this is a bug or a feature request but it is taking me hours to run Enhance audio on a days worth of recording. I wish it could somehow remember its settings and just adapt to the split. I consider it a deal breaker on long format content to run this in advance if it restarts when you adjust your clip length. Maybe I'll find a way to run it once I am done editing and ready to render.

For info :I have been spending a lot of energy following up with Adobe Support on two issues that have killed Smart Rendering in last versions of Premiere Pro (for nearly 2 years ?) :1. Loss of Video Preview Files (random files)2. Use Previews tick box not working in Media Export to speed up Exports (even if you have a green line above complex renders) Status -Support confirmed item 1 is still being investigated as of 11th June 2024. Not fixed.On item 2 - Support asked that I tested the 'Use Previews' function as they were under the impression there was an early fix for this in Beta Version. Steps to reproduce:    1. Import a ProRes Proxy QT file (via Import and/or relink via ALE/Premiere Project) Result: Premiere crashesExpected: Import without issue   I am working in a Production.   I am recieveing ProRes Proxy media from a post facility on a daily basis.  They send me ProRes Proxy QT files with embedded audio.  The process has worked without issue and has not changed.  For some reason, today when I go to import the daily ProRes QT files into Premiere 24.5 (Beta), it totally crashes.  I have tried importing via the ALE they Provide, via a Premiere Project they create using the ALE, and a direct import into a fresh project; all cause Premiere to toally crash without any error message. These files import into 24.4, but they do kick up this error, "A low-level exception occured in: ImporterQuickTime (Importer:82)."  The files will also crash MediaEncoder 24.4 AND 24.5.  If I go back to 23.6.6 they load in Medi

When i press intepret footage on a media the program crashes completely and this happens every time

Is anyone experiencing warp stabilizer issue recently? Even I applied it properly it always shows "Unknown Exception on frame 0 in Warp Stabilizer 

Sony mxf footage (HD 29.97) is not playing back or only with severe lag and Premiere constantly gives warning about frame substitusions.  No issues playing back the footage in other programs such as Windows Media Player and Davinci Resolve also plays back flawlessly.   Currently in lastest version of Beta Premiere 24.5.  A few versions back everything use to work fine but around the time I upgraded to version 23 is when I noticed this.  For a short time using the Beta version of 24 it was playing fine and then when 24.5 updated the footage became uplayable again.  Just tried the lastest non-beta version 24.3 and it is better but there is still delay after hitting the play button in the timeline of about 1-3 seconds.   I have long-gop footage from other camera models like Nikon and even 4k on from that camera plays back fine so I think this something unique to Sony footage.  Please look into this issue as Sony cameras are used

I mostly edit in list view. Close/save the program a such. When opening project again project window is now in icon view. Build 17 (been like this for a couple of builds)

Eveytime I try to make edits to the work space the Premier pro (Beta) crashes or freezes

Steps to reproduce:1.Alt-middle-mouse-scroll-wheel in the Subtitle track to resize it, like I can with Video and Audio tracks. Result:It enlarges, but disppears off the top of the timeline panel and it's impossible to drag the divider (like I can with the divider between the video and audio tracks) Expected:Subtitle track should enlarge downwards, into the Video Track space. System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v23.5.0.24    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 127.91 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

I don't recall if I reported this previously, but it occurred as early as 22.6.0.50.    Steps to reproduce: Create transcript (source or static I think). Export as .txt. Reimport unchanged (or with edits). Result: A - Space is added between transcript segments. In the original export, segments are separated by: CRLF CRLF   If you re-export, segments are separated by CR CRLF Space CRLF CR CRLF CRLF CRLF   B - If create captions, spaces appear as boxes with X. (These can be edited and removed. Or if you simply open the segment for editing but make no change, the space remains but the box/X is gone in the caption on the timeline.) Expected: No space would be added.  Workaround. Export original transcript as .txt. Merge segments outside PR by adding a single space after each segment and removing the line ending. (This creates a single, word-wrapped segment.) As timecodes, use the begin timecode of first segment and the end timecode for last segment. Import a

When transition have been applied and track is collapsed at max (minimized) the transition is no longer visible on the timeline in this new design. This behavior is very inconvenient. Botton screenshot shows 2023.

Can we get a gain control on the audio waveform similar to the new crossfade control?The same as the one already in adobe audition.Currently we can only turn up audio gain by pressing gain and dialing in a db value, or by turning up the volume level which havens post effects and doesnt show on the waveform. Having to round trip to audition to this at the moment.

when dragging a new clip up onto the invisable space above the tracks on the timeline. premiere creates a new track. on this new track usually theres default height its set to. in the stable release this is okay and normal. but in the beta i have noticed that the track height when making a new track is 2 steps up bigger. than in the stable release.if anyone can get round to a fix on this that would be amazing! as my tracks are now always too chunky! haha

Not all of us work in a dark environment.

The video is fine when i am editing, but when I try to export it, it comes out super bright and I can not seem to fix it. It is very frustrating 

I'm using Premiere Pro Beta, version 24.6.0 BETA (build 2), and encountering numerous issues with lagging and glitches in the Program Monitor. The glitches typically appear after 20 to 30 minutes of starting the software, rather than at the beginning. Additionally, after exporting from a rendered timeline, the result is full of glitches - please refer to the attached images. My original footage is in 4K, and the project involves a significant number of effects, primarily Lumetri Colors. Furthermore, I have a film grain footage overlaying the entire timeline, which raises the question if this could be the issue for glitches in the export, however the gliteches appear in Program Monitor even when the track with footage is off.  I'm using a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with an 8-core Intel Core i9 processor and 32 GB of RAM, which should be sufficient for the task. whilke using the beta version of adobe premiere pro cc it is crashing again and again just afetr the opening of a projectit is not able to open a project properly,it is crashing just after the opening of project

adding cross dissolve or other dissolves to cuts- not showing in program monitor or after rendering.

Hi, The new timeline clips are looking great so far imo. Very well suited for modern darkUI workflows.However, the clip labels still pose the exact same issues the previous design has which is text readability when using custom colors. It's just the opposite now, bright colors make the white text 'disappear' rather than dark the black text on the old design.It's great that we have the freedom to change label names and colors but our choices shouldn't be affected by this flaw. We need a mechanic in place that automatically changes the clip text to either white or black depending on the brightness of the clip's color. Something that's very common in DAWs. I would imagine that code implementation wise this doesn't need to be a live detect thing, just a one time check coming from the label preferences, and stored permenantly until updated by a new color. Hope we can see some improvements on this soon.

It's been there for a long time.   Select the Effects Panel with a shortcut, or mouse click and it takes two tabs to get to the search field. Same with selecting the Effects Panel within a stacked panel group.   Anyone up for making the search text-box the default control in the Effects Panel.   Cheers!

New in Premiere Pro (beta) you can choose to show markers in your transcripts in the Text panel so you can leave notes or place bookmarks in the transcript as you’re working! Give it a try and let us know what you think.    We’ve added support for both source clip markers and sequence markers. Markers on source clips are shown when viewing a source clip’s transcript, and markers on sequences are shown when viewing the sequence transcript. However, markers on source clips are not shown when viewing a sequence transcript.      To enable markers, click on the Transcript View Options button in the bottom right of the Text panel, then check the box for Markers. I'm trying out Text Based Editing in Premiere on the Beta branch and have run into an issue. I transcribed the whole sequence and then made it a static transcription so I could assign Speakers correctly. But now, there's no way to just go in and delete a single Speaker like I want to since the button is greyed out. And when I click the button to redo it for text based editing, my whole app crashes (repeatedly). I think it may have something to do with the fact that I cut out all of the silence and umms, so now there's like a thousand edits and it is treating each as its own little file instead of the original 4 files it was at first. This also means I can't really do any Source editing since there's so many files (at least, I don't think?). Any ideas?
