Premiere (Beta)

Help! Yesterday my file was working and today there's no audio. The audio clips are fine in the file. So, I am not sure what is happening.

I've now had multiple instances of sending a sequence to ME from PP and the wrong preset is applied. Usually it's the preset that is just next to the one I selected in the drop down list.System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.4.0.28    OS: macOS v14.1.0, RAM: 64.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10

Trying to start the latest Beta version throws up an error: The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta)\HSL.dll  

In the clip speed / duration pop-up (ctrl+R) I can't click the link icon to unlink speed from duration. Tested in 2 different computers. I'm on the latest beta version. 24.3.0 build 43 on windows 11 and windows 10.

I have a few mp4 files which did not encode correctly from Media Encoder. I did an update. When I redo those exports within Premiere, tell it to Send to Media Encoder, then tell it to overwrite the existing file. It fails to add the job to teh Media Encoder queue. Maybe it has something to do with switching Beta versions between exports. Not sure. 

The video project is chugging 66 GB of memory and I have no idea why. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't. Seems to stall later in the afternoon. It doesn't do this in the earlier hours of the day. 

We got feedback from all of you that you want to change the length of pauses, since sometimes you just want to find the long moments of silence, and sometimes you want to find all the tiny little "umms" that someone says. (Thanks for all the survey feedback. If you haven't filled it out yet, it is here.)   To change pause duration in the Transcript panel: Open the overflow menu in the top-right corner Select "Set pause length" Pauses can be as short as 0.1s or as long as 2.5s      

full library isn't showing up in premiere beta but shows up in illustrator. any ideas? I am working in Windows and files are synced...and disconnected already and reloaded...

After clicking the "Edit Active Text" button in the text window, making gramatical changes, and then clicking out of the text field, nothing about the text I edited has changed.  I also am not able to delete text and have it affect the timeline as I had been able to do earlier. The "Automatically set in/out points" button is selected, and doesn't seem to make a difference.My source was highlighted in the timeline window, so it should have edited.Any help appreciated.

I have been using text-based editing for a while. I have auto in and out set. However, when I attempt to do a ripple delete via the transcribe panel, nothing happens. It leaves the text and clips highlighted.  I opened the same project in 24.3.0 and highlighted the same section, and the ripple delete worked as expected. This is on Mac OS 14.4.1.

I've used text-based editing the past few weeks and had no problem, but today immediately after the latest update, it stopped working. I can see the text but if I highlight it, it doesn't let me delete it.

I recently updated to the latest Beta version, 24.4, and noticed that some essential features, such as text editing, cutting, deleting, and ripple delete, were not functioning properly. As a result, I downgraded to version 24.3, and now everything is working as expected. Upon checking, I found that the video segment is correctly marked, and the in-and-out points are working fine in the 24.4 version. 

ive realised something about premiere pro beta. For some reason when you Press alt. the top left of the screen opens up mode where the keyboard keys now effect the file, edit, clip, sequence, markers, graphics and titles, view, window and helpso alt and c will open the clip dropdownthis is good and all but in the newest version alt seems to toggle this feature rather than enable on down and disable on up. meaning if i press alt. im now stuck in this mode until i press alt again or click the mouse button.ive attached a video and in this video you can see when i let go of alt. the little lines under the tabs are still present

We have added Norwegian (Bokmal), Swedish and Dutch to the Transcription Panel in Premiere Pro. Since I don't speak any of these languages I would love to know how well they are working for you. Please try some of your footage and let us know:   What kind of content are you transcribing? (zoom call, promotional video, YouTube DIY tutorial, Netflix documentary...)  Does it do better with certain dialects? If there are regional dialects that it doesn't handle as well, be specific about the names of the region, accent or dialect. How accurately does it transcribe numbers? (1984, February 1st) How accurately does it handle pop culture (movies, current events, famous people)? Will you use it in its current state?        

Hi all,   Now in beta is an updated version of the Warp Stabilizer. We've changed the way the analysis process happens by more efficiently processing multiple frames simultaneously to detect feature points. What this means is that you should get significantly reduced analysis time while still getting good quality stabilization results.   Please sure your feedback with us in the comments.    Thanks!

In version 22.2.1 and 24.3 beta (build 44), proxies made for Interpreted footage add a freeze frame after the original duration.  Both Windows and macOS.Example: 1. Import clips with frame rate 29.972. Interpret frame rate to 253. Create proxies Result: Proxies work fine up to the original clip length (they get longer after interpretation), but after that, they show just a freeze frame. Expected result is moving images, not freeze frame.This workflow has been working perfectly fine since version 22.6, but with the new proxy presets, it's broken. Please fix.

Yes, I have the transcript window set to automatically choose the in and out points. And it's doing that. But pressing delete, or right-clicking and pulling up the menu to delete, etc. is doing nothing. I have to manually go to the automatically-set in and out-points to delete material. 

After update to 24.4.0. beta build 25: Audio waveforms are not showing up in the nested multitrack sequence (after opening the multitrack source in a sequence.) They were showing in build 24 or 23.

I like the Pan & Zoom feature, though I'd like to see a switch to disable it. Since scroll wheel pans the timeline, if I start scrolling, intending to move the timeline while the curser is over the monitor, the monitor zooms, and I have to restore it to where it is, then move to the timeline panel. A little lock icon next to the zoom dropdown would be an ideal way to toggle this. System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.4.0.32    OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 63.83 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

It should not be possible to accidentally link _proxy files as originals. I've seen quite a lot of users accidentally do this when relinking. They think Premiere Pro is asking for the original, when it's actually asking for the prtoxy file.  This creates a lot of unexpected behavior, relinking issues etc._proxy files should never accidentally be attached as originals. If people do this, it should be a very deliberate choice.  And it should definitely not be possible to attach the same file as both original and proxy at the same time. It seems that Premiere Pro will allow this - but only until we close the project and re-open it. Then it will ask us to relink.  Give us a warning and some guidance so we can avoid trouble!

Steps to reproduce:    1. Add video transitions to a few edit points    2. Select the edit points (Ctrl/Cmd-drag to select them)    3. Hit Delete, or right-click an edit point and and choose Clear Result: Clear will only delete one transition, not all the selected ones.
