I have created several projects in Premiere Elements 11 using Gopro footage. After publishing projects to my desktop I was able to open and view all projects. I then moved the published version, the PREL version and all asset clips and photos to a folder on my external hard drive to avoid loading up the hard drive on my laptop. Now when I go into the ext. HD and try to view the published version I get a message indicating the file type is not supported. And when I attempt to open the PREL version I gets messages asking where are certain clips, photos and/or rendered versions of the project. Can anyone steer me in a direction that will shed some light on why this is happening and hopefully provide tips on how to correct it. Thanks in advance for any help given.
I recently had to create a ISO Image as a work around for a problem I'm having with PRE19 when burning a DVD or Blu-Ray disk. I've never used/created a ISO file before and It has me thinking....... Is a ISO file a good or better format for storing my videos on my back up HDD or should I stick with the default format in which I created them? i.e AVCHD or MP4I understand ISO is a image of the finished product after editing and that, is all I need?. I always burn a DVD or Blu-ray for archive and viewing purposes but I also want a digital version as well for archive. Is there a downside to ISO as a archive? I'm of the opinion I can get rid of the raw video once I have my finished product. External drives are getting cheaper so storage is not necessarily an issue but I font want to lose any quality or the ability to retrieve and edit again
Hello again.A month ago I received some helpful stuff on working with PE 13, and I have obtained a copy of Steve's book.Think I will be able to learn it.PART TWO of my need-to-learn: How to work with the audio in the video, which is a coffee house concert.I have glanced into the book and so forth, and I don't think PE contains what I need.I have this video of two of us playing guitar and singing, and making remarks ("Patter," to my fellow dinosaurs.)It was shot on a stationary SONY something-or-other, which served pretty well. But the audio is not always clear. Much of that is my performance. This vid is actually teaching me I have to relearn to hit my consonants better, be conscious of my volume---MOST especially when I am talking.Making better product is a certain aim, but it's a hell of a learning curve, or else get someone really professional in to do the recording. Meanwhile, I need this video, the decent parts of it, as a demo to send to other venues. Pret
I have a previously completed video with all its project assets. The problem is I have moved the source folder/files and the timeline only shows blank files. How to I link all the files in the project asset box to the new file source?
Recently I was introduced with Adjustment Layer and loved to know about it.But I have some questions. One of them is why we should use an Adjustment Layer for colour correction adjustments, when we can do the colour correction right on the footage? Can you please explain what are the advantages? Apreciate your response.
1) I have been working for weeks on a holiday video project, I successfully burnt to ISO then to a dvd - upon watching the dvd the movie menu screen had moved my title across and outside the screen. Even though I thoroughly checked it was within the 'safe margins'. I used the "kids theme" - I changed the photo and added music. Every thing else worked in the project. The total size was 6Gb, I burnt successfully onto a 8.5Gb DVD2) I went back into the same project to correct some spelling within the project on two slides. and then changed the movie menu and made the text slightly smaller at 46pt. upon checking the preview, it seemed to be OK (again) -I then burnt to ISO - it spent over 7hrs burning..then it stopped at 98% and went back to 0% and said Error down the left bottom (no reason given!!!) - I burnt sucessfully a test DVD with just the movie menu on it, so to check the menu would work and set out properly - this worked - I started t
Hi,Please take a look at my timeline before I explain what I am looking for -As you can see there are many clips or clip segments on the timeline with transition effects. The timeline is final for output. Now this is what I want. In the Green highlighted section the video will start from 100% and zoom in to 130% to the end. Then it will stay 130% at the non highlighted zone. Then on the blue highlighted zone, it will start from 130% and zoom out to 100% at the end. Effect would be applied only to the highlited track, not other tracks.I can zoom in and out on each segment, but cannot apply this to the timeline. But as you know this is a fashion now to make your videos look a bit creative. So do you guys know any hack to do this rather than exporting the clip and then again apply the effect? I do not want to do that twice, so looking for expert's suggestion.
I have a lagging problem with the video preview Adobe Premiere Element 15.I am editing a recording from a stage play. Four cameras recorded the play, and I'm editing the whole thing together. The video from one of the cameras is lagging in the video preview. The recordings from the other three cameras are fine. How can I solve this problem? (My technical skills are a bit limited.)
Premiere Elements 2019 refuses to install. This screen opens and that's all.Is there a solution for this problem?I have tried all the troubleshooting items from Adobe, but still doesn't work.
Hello, iv downloaded from Adobe a copy of Elements premiere19 (iv also tried Premiere 18) installed it and it's run through the unzip and install smoothly. Then it closes, no trial page/activation page. when I double click on the desktop icon (or the icon in the program folder), I get a spinning circle for 5-7 seconds and that's all. iv tried reinstalling, updating drivers, clearing hard drive, antivirus off/on even safe mode. now after 4 days of headache and running out of hair! I'm asking for help. I'm using a HP Pavilion G7-2235DX AMD A8-4500M X4 1.9GHz 8GB Ram 1TB Sata Windows 8.1 v6.3i just can't get the software to open. many thanks in advance. Charlie
I bought Adobe Elements 18 last February, now it seems to crash every time I use it. Why? It doesn't save the work I have done and I have to re-do it. It will also not let me make a DVD without saving it as an MP4 and burning it as a work around. I have used Adobe Elements 12 before for many years so know how to use it, but now I've complety given up. I don't want to store my personal family videos on a cloud, knowing that it can be hacked, and store it on my personal computer without an mp4. I have moved to another program for the grief and wasted time I have spent on your program.
Hi I was wondering how to set the timecode to "Non-drop frame." I know how to switch between drop-frame to non-drop-frame but sometimes it automatically goes back to drop-frame timecode. Is there a way to set the timecode to non-drop frame? Thank you!
I've recently upgraded from PE10 to PE18. I imported a .MTS file that originally came from a Canon Vixia HF G10 camcorder into PE18 and there is no sound associated with the video. When importing a .mov file into PE 18, the audio works fine. I've read on other forums that sometimes there is commonly no sound with .mts files, but that hasn't been my experience with the last two camcorders that I've had or with previous versions of Premiere Elements. There is sound with the same .mts files when I import to PE10, however no sound with PE18. Sound works when playing the file in Windows Media player.Using Windows 7.Any Thoughts?THANKS!
Hi!I just purchased the Adobe Premiere Elements 2018, but the appearance of red frames (mostly in the rendered result but also in the timeline) makes it utterly useless. In search results online, I´ve seen a lot of discussions, talks and solutions to older Premiere Pro similar problems, but have found no solution to the Premiere Elements 2018. I can see that other people have the same problem with older versions of Premiere Elements, but their questions are unanswered. Can anyone help me? It seems to be a common problem in Premiere Pro, and fixable with turning off "accelerated h.264 decoding" but I can't find that solution in Elements 2018.Of course this problem makes my purchase completely useless, with final products with the screen going 100% red several times.I have tried checking the original files: there are no problem with them and extremely old progtams such as Windows Movie Maker 2011 can handle them fine, and renders them fine. Please help?Kind regardsSimoMika
I recorded a video of an instrumental ensemble and a friend recorded a 44.1 KHz audio of the same concert. I cannot find any instructions for registration of the tracks. Do I need to purchase other software or are there instructions for Premier Elements?
Lors du lancement d'Adobe Premiere éléments 2019 le programme se plante à "Importer QuickTime.pm".
I am trying to edit an H.265 video in Premiere Elements, which I converted to H.264 with the Handbrake. But it's still not taking it - the resolution is lost. Any ideas? Can anybody help me?
Every time I try to add my media from my GoPro footage I get more than one video failing with a "generic error". My latest footage is 15 files, set to 25 frame rate, 1080p (as I thought it may help), and 11 of them have failed to import. Four of them have been added but AFAIK they are the same standard .mp4 format?! All the files are playable on other software and the only way I seem to get round this is by opening it i the GoPro editor and saving it as a clip/new .mp4 file. This is making this software pretty useless to use as I am now sitting for hours every time I want to use a file, waiting for it to save as a new .mp4Have Adobe acknowledged this as a bug or software problem?
I am trying to apply audio effects to a clip in PE 2019. Two things are happening: whenever I stop then start play, the audio effect resets itself. Whenever I toggle the effect, it it starts moving the individual parameters by itself!! I can watch it moving the adjustments back and forth. What is going on? It did not do this before. Is this a setting, some automatic setting I can toggle off? This is super annoying to make adjustments then immediately lose them! Thanks in advance!eam
Hello I recently downloaded a licenced copy of Premier Elements 10 to a new computer running Windows 10. I also transferred some existing videos I previously created in this same Elements 10 on a computer running Vista. When I try to open them I get a message stating there is a codec error. I am not all that computer savvy and Adobe themselves told me the only place for help was the forum. Some searching seems to suggest this happens a fair bit.Any advice would be welcome, Thanks in advance.
In Adobe Premier Elements 14 for Mac, under SHARE I selected DISC/AVCHD/HD 1080 (1920X1080), AVCHD format, checked "fit contents to available s[pace," and selected ISO image (4.7GB).I cannot burn the image, because it says the space required is 4.78 GB, slightly greater than the capacity of a DVD. Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks. I would appreciate a reply directly to [personal info deleted by mod, forum policy, replies are posted on the forum].
I have Premiere Elements 2018 with Windows 10.I have started using the program with no difficulties but all of a sudden now whenever I move the cursor over to the right side tool bar (trying to hover over the "transitions" or any other tools, the timeline starts to move to the end and will not stop. So now I can't see what I was working on. Don't know how to get rid of this glitch(?).

I am running the latest Premier Elements 2019 on a Mac with OS 10.14.2 (Mojave). I just moved my Elements Database to this computer and have several video formats. They all play from the Organizer except the AVI files. The adobe FAQ says if your system will play the file then Elements can play the file. Wrong! The file will play on my Mac. I simply double-click it in Finder and it opens and plays in QuickTime. When I am in Elements Organizer and double click on the clip, I get the rainbow swirl and have to force quit elements. Any help getting the AVI files to play from the Organizer would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Everyone,I've upgraded from PE2018 to PE2019 and I use the Rocketstock Stanza Transitions in my videos. In the 2018 version, importing these MOV was easy.In the 2019 version, it keeps coming up as a Import Generic Error. One solution was to Transcode/Convert the MOV files into an MP4 movie and I tested it on one Transition which worked however, doing this to ALL of the Rocketstock Files seems time consuming.Has anyone been able to find a remedy to this issue?Thank you.ME
