Premiere Elements

I have imported to Premiere Elements 12 a video which has main audio and commentary dubbed to it.  Both soundtracks appear on one audio track.  How do I separate them?

Premiere Elements 2019 (Windows 10) crashes when I click "Save As..."  Clicking "Save" works,  but I want to save my project in various stages so I can go back to a previous version. When I click "Save As..." the Windows Explorer window begins to paint but doesn't finish. Everything just stops, and I get the "not responding" message at the top of the window. All I can do at that point is force it to close and restart my Surface Pro computer. I found posts from Adobe Premiere Pro users frustrated with the same problem. Is anyone here experiencing this issue?

When I start a new project, for example, a 720 x 480 mp4 video, I have to force the settings.  Otherwise, it reverts to a sony handycam 640 x 480.  Supposedly, Adobe says the project will accept the setting of an imported video in expert mode.  It does not.This is for Elements 2019.  Is there a way to change the default setting so that I do not have to go through  starting a new project and forcing the settings.I have tried just setting a project to 720 480 mp4 and using that as my standard project.  It does not work.  When i import the file in expert mode it still reverts back to project setting of Sony Handycam 640x480.Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am running Adobe Premiere Elements 15 on Windows 64bit machine. I am unable to import any media into a new project. I am getting the following error: I tried dragging and dropping and also accessing through the folder and same issue. I edited all photos in Photoshop CC 2017. They are all RGB and 8 bits. Any help would be much appreciated! thanks very much. Alison

I purchased recently Premier Elements and am working to learn the ropes. I selected an audio effect and tried to apply it by dragging it to the audio track of a selected clip. However, the cursor turned into a crossed circle and the effect was not applied. I noticed that the audio track had a 5.1 symbol, but I do not know if this is related. The question - how do I apply audio effects ?

Greetings: I just migrated my Premiere Elements 15 to a new PC. Previously, while making slideshows, I could right click on a clip (still frame really) and "edit original". This would switch me over to an old legacy permanent licence of Photoshop CS 4 where I could edit that image. After migrating, I only have "edit in Photoshop Elements" available. "Edit Original" is greyed out. Keep in mind this worked previously - the old and new computers are both Windows 10. I am running Classic Shell, but I expect that shouldn't matter.  How can I get back "edit original"?

I searched on this on mult links, but could not find a match. How much does it cost to upgrade from Premiere 14 to 19? Also, if buying Grimandi's book and I have 14, would it be best to buy 13 or 15, since I don't see a book for 14? I do see that the price of 19 is $99, but could that be for people who don't own any Premiere product?Thanks.LNovik

I have  two hours of video on my time line and am wondering if I should stop or keep going on my video project before burning to blu ray? Hate to find out after adding more. The video clips are HD, some 4k. My instinct is blu ray can handle more, but I'm pausing. Any experience or input on what Elements 2019 can handle and output to blu ray?

I have made a video in Premiere Elements 2018 and want to export it with the quick option ("snel exporteren"), the left option in the menu. But after 19% it stops and I see the message on screen: "fout bij compileren film. Onbekende fout"I tried several options but nothing works. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks,Gerda

Installed Elements 2019 and got the "Loading ImporterQuicktime.pm" splash message while loading Premiere 2019. The crash reporter pops up and Premiere crashes. The support folks sent me instructions to change the folder permissions. But in my case I'm still the owner. I did some experimenting and was able to solve the issue. This looks like a flaw in Elements 2019 installler not setting the proper permissions.I uninstalled Elements 2019 under the current user (Microsoft account) in Windows 10. Created a local user with administrator role. Log in using the new account and reinstalled Elements 2019. Logged off and log in using the original user (Microsoft account). Now, I'm able to start Element Premiere and Photoshop without any issues.Hopefully this will help some of you here asking the same questions.

I made a one-hour video from several small videos. The small videos are OK, but there are red flickers in the new video and sometimes the video is "quicker" than the audio. The audio goes normally but the video is quicker and is repeating:( even I had not separated video and audio. Do you know where is the problem please? Maybe I cut the video quicker than it can read it? I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2018, pc: HP Spectre x360, RAM 16 GB. Thank you

I am importing a 4k .mp4 file from a GoPro Hero5 and getting an error message that reads, "this type of file is not supported or the codec is uninstalled."  I've only been using 19 for about a month but feel like I have previously imported with this camera and this setting since upgrading to 19.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software but am getting the same message.  Any ideas?

i just had a coworker email me a transition pack for adobe premiere and i am trying to import the transition pack. the issue occurs when i go to the presets because it is downloaded as a .pkg file not a .prfpset file. the folder is also going from mac to pc so if that might be the issue. any help would be nice thank you

I like to use the crop tool to split the screen. When the box comes up, the choices are “motion,” “Opacity,” and “a third item” which allows me to bring in the borders on all 4 sides ( I forget what it’s called.) However, when I later want to adjust this last effect, I am unable to bring it up. When I hit the “applied effects” tab on the upper right side of the screen, just the “motion” and “Opacity” items are visible. No matter how I click, I can’t seem to get back this 3rd ‘border’ item to appear in the box. I am using Elements 14. Any ideas?Thanks.LNovik

After filming in a studio using green sheet, I used Chroma keying in Premiere Elements 2018. I had to use a photograph supplied by the team but the photo is 4:3 and when viewing the video clip, it shows thick black strips on the left and right hand side. Like others before me I am having difficulty loading .avi files into Premiere Elements. These are old family films that we have used a converter to digitise from VHS tape.I have tried converting the files to mp4 using Handbrake but the sound is all over the place on the resulting file. I have tried using VLC media player to covert but the resulting files are unplayable.Any suggestions? I’m buying a Sony RX10 IV camera and trying to decide if I upgrade my Premiere Elements or buy other video software that is compatible with importing the 4K video.  I don’t want to use conversation tools so I guess my question is whether Windows Premiere Elements can import the UHD 4K video formats? I edited a complete wedding DVD using Premiere Elements 10.  It was glitching slightly and I couldn't get the quality I wanted sodecided to upgrade to Elements 2019.Since downloading this, I cannot open the original edited project with either version 10 or the new version.  If I have to put it all back intoversion 2019 then so be it, but I need to open the original project to get the files and order right.Can anyone help please?

Ich habe PSE 19 gekauft und auf meinem iMac (Mojave) installiert. Leider reagiert PSE extrem langsam. Eine Neuinstallation brachte keine Verbesserung. Die Löschung eines Bildes oder das Verschieben in einen anderen Ordner dauert bis zu einer halben Minute. Nach jedem Schritt gibt es mehrere Sekunden Wartezeit.Ebenso ist das Starten ein einziges Geduldsspiel.  Speicherkapazität liegt bei etwa 2 GB. Andere Programme laufen gewohnt schnell-Was kann ich tun?Viele grüßeWolfgang Hessler

Why does my video freeze when the cursor is a few seconds from a cross dissolve? I initially starting working on the project using APE12; but when the software stopped working, I purchased APE 2019 and opened the project using this new software, could this be the issue? I've tried rendering the timeline, but this didn't help.Any idea what the issue is?
