Premiere Elements

I have successfully been able to use the crop tool to divide my screen between 2 video clips. However, when the shorter clip ends, I only have the 1 clip playing on just 1 side of the screen. I tried to undo the cropping at this point, but the whole cropping disappeared from the beginning. I then tried to simply copy the longer clip above to another track. This way, I could just shorten the original longer track to have it stop when the shorter clip ended, and then have the copy take over. However, I could not figure out how to paste a copy of a clip to a fresh track. Of course, it's easy to copy a clip, and I can go to the top toolbar and hit the paste item, but a new clip does not show itself in a fresh track when I do this--even if I set the timeline to the area I want. I guess I'm not able to choose (highlight) a new track when there is nothing yet in it.Thus, if you're still with me---and I could explain it differently if I'm making it too complicated: is there a way to either 1)m

W7 +premiere elements 2019. I have no sound with the imported AVCHD clips from my CAN0N camcoder. The clips are renamed as MTS. I have no problems with the clips from my canon photo camara.

I'm using Premiere Elements 2019 to create a wedding video, which includes pictures and music. When I decrease the duration for multiple pictures, I end up with gaps between them. "Delete and close gap" is grayed out. I discovered if I first delete the music from the audio track and then change (decrease) the duration of the pictures, gaps are not inserted. Is there a better way? It seems silly to delete the music, change the duration of pictures, and then re-add the music as I edit the video to match the length of the pictures (video track) with the length of the music (audio track).

How do I download premiere Element?

I have a long movie (hundreds of assets) successfully produced with Elements 15. Now I must move the project to a separate computer having a different folder organization. I intend to change the path references in the prels to their new values using a text utility. I also use TextWrangler to examine them and TextWrangler is able to convert the files to plain text for display as the XML's they really are. However, the actual prel files are somehow compressed and cannot be treated directly by the utility text converter.Question is: what form of compression is used in the prel files? If I know that, I can preliminarily convert to plain text, then apply the new path references, and finally recompress the result back to the native prel format.Thank you for whatever information you can provide.

I find that when I try to do things on Adobe, things are often not intuitive. I'm even willing to admit perhaps there's something wrong with my intuition, but--in case others feel the same way--is Adobe Premiere Pro more intuitive? I would gladly pay for not having to run into a bottle neck every time I do something.My latest difficulty is in getting some text into my video at the beginning of my song. First I have the audio and video on the timeline. Then, on the bottom toolbar--if that's what you call it--I choose titles and text. I choose one with the titles box on the bottom. One would think that would mean that the rest of the field would be the video I have already added to the timeline. When I click on this titles item, a message says to drag it either to the timeline or to the monitor. When I drag it to the monitor, nothing happens. When I drag it to the timeline, nothing happens. WHen I drag it to "video 2," it does settle there. However, when I then play the project, I only s

I upgraded a few weeks ago and in general I like the upgrade.  I wish it had more of the newblue effects than the old version but I probably use those more than most people.Two usability issues I'm wondering if there's a workaround for:1. The video editor does not keep track of the last view in the effects and transitions windows.  My old version 14 did.  19 always defaults to "Show All".  It's a pain to have to constantly switch back to my presets or frequently used every time I start.2. I only use the video editor.  Is there a way to start that directly instead of having to start the main app selector and then start the video editor?

i recently got a 1440p monitor however the premiere text scaling is too small anyone know how to fix it ?

I run two  different video cameras; a Cannon Vixa and a Go Pro.  Does Premeire Elements sync both cameras footage using the audio like Premiere Pro?  Or is there another way to sync both camera footage?  Looking for a new editing software and I do not want to pay a monthly fee as I only make one or two videos a year.ThanksAaron

Hi,I changed my monitor from a 1K to a 4K one (3.840 x 2.160) - wonderful to work with it, BUT:All the characters in the menue bars and windows of Premiere Elements 11 are now very small (nearly impossible to read).How can I change the size of it ?To make the hole display size bigger is not a solution because of too large size of other applications.Thanks for your help, Wolfgang

Hello - I've searched and found time-lapse for virtually every other version except 2019 *which I just installed. In my previous version (2018), if I want to make a time lapse from a series of still photos, it was easy.Go to Add MediaFind the files and "select numbered stills"The program gathered all of the stills into a mini movie and allowed me to import them as one fileWith 2019, everything goes fine until I get to importing, they insist on importing them into my computer and after importing they are added to a new project as single photos and I cannot find out how to fix this. Very frustrating since I tend to make a lot of these little time-lapse movies and it used to be so easy.

Hi...I am recording narration the way I always have, but all of a sudden I am getting an echo in my narration.I typically have the 'mute audio while recording' box checked, but out of curiosity tried it both ways today and get the very same echo.I am using a clip microphone, which I have used successfully for the past 6 months. I can't figure out what I might have done to cause the echo...any suggestions on where to start looking?Thanks in Advance.Lynn ps...if  could figure out how to attach the audio clip, I will.

sirs:I bought a new laptop ASUS about a year ago. I noticed  that first time I tried to make a DVD with Premiere 13 it failed. Got to 99% and fail to make the DVD. But later with different video it burned successful.. I did not take the laptop back because it start working making DVDs. But last month it started again. It also had problems recognizing large files. It took the laptop back for service. I was convinced that I Had a problem. Service said I needed a hard drive replacement. So they did. I loaded Premiere 13 back into the laptop. First Premiere failed to recognize the DVD drive. Well, service re entered the graphic Card. That worked. The software recognized the DVD Drive. I tried to burn a DVD. It got up to 99% then fail to complete the process. After about 2 hours of them trying different things, they told me that they did all they could to. Contact Adobe Premiere. I tinkered a little. I found a video file about 15 seconds. I put it in the AP13 software. I made a data (M

PE14.1 on a desktop PC running MS-WIN7.When I insert a photo into the timeline and select Clip / Scale to Frame Size the entire photo appearswith black bars to the left and right due to the aspect ratio.  Thus what I want to do is to zoom intothe image (& maybe move left/right & up/down) until the frame is filled.The only way I have found to date is to use the Pan & Zoom tool, select the part of the photoI want in the first focus frame and then deleting the second focus frame (which is present by default).Is this the correct way?  Using Pan & Zoom seems rather like using a sledgehammer to crackthe proverbial nut but so far I have no other solution.

Premiere Elements 2019 is giving me a message "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed" when I try to upload my GoPro Hero 7 Black files shot in 4k 60fps.  What are the solutions so I can edit my video files?  Using Handbrake to change the codec is time consuming.  Is there a better fix so I don't have to process all my new videos?  Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Internal speaker on MAC will not play narrations on timeline using Premiere elements

I have purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2019, But it won't Download on my Mac. I have taken the necessary steps to update, install creative cloud, I have sufficient storage and I have spoken with support over the phone who sent me a link to download a version of Premiere Elements 2019 that still WON'T work on my MAC. Since I have already purchased the software am I able to just get Premiere Elements 2019 as I know that will for sure work?

Is there a way to change the default text setting so you do not have to change them each time you add a title.These are the settings I would like.

Hi, I have a very odd situation where I have installed Premiere Elements 2018 on my Dell XPS15 laptop with Intel i7-6700 HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHz, 16 GB RAM, OS Windows 10 Home, 64 bit.  For my home set up, I use a Dell D3100 Dock and connect both the laptop and a Dell P2415Q monitor and use the separate monitor as my primary display.  Both displays have a resolution of 3840 x 2160, the laptop display refreshes at 59 Hz and the Dell monitor at 30 Hz.  The laptop monitor is connected to Intel HD Graphics 530 and I also have Nvidia GeForce GTX960M (not sure if this is too much info but not sure what is relevant).When I am at home, I can open Elements without issue, add media and play that media in elements before making any adjustments with the external Dell monitor as primary display.  I can even drag the entire Elements window over onto the laptop monitor and continue to play the media.  The programme will also close without a problem.The issue arises when I am away f

Mon projet est terminé mais il est impossible de le finaliser en l'exportant. Ce message d'erreur apparaît à chaque fois que je retente la manœuvre:"! Le processus Réduction du tremblement est en cours ou a rencontré une erreur.  Redémarrez l'exportation un fois la progression terminée ou résolvez le problème et réessayez."Il faut préciser que cet effet ne concerne que 2 petites séquences du projet et qu'il est intégrer et terminé depuis plusieurs jours. J'ai essayer de le supprimer puis ai enregistrer le projet sous un autre nom. Hi,I wonder if I might be leaving out a step when I try to combine 2 parts of a video into 1 screen. From what I’ve read, I align them 1 on top of the other. I then highlight the top one, and choose the “crop” function from the Effects menu on the bottom (close to the right) border (I have Elements 14.) I am then, thru the controls and the motion tool, able to arrange how I want each part to appear. I don’t hit any button, such as “OK” or “accept” at this point.However, when I look at the video, there are often a lot of frozen frames on 1 or both parts, esp the one that I had carried the Crop tool to. I have seen the “render” tool right there on the screen, and have tried this—since it says it smooths things out. This usually helps, though I still  get some freezing. Am I missing something?Thanks.LNovik
