Premiere Elements

I'm evaluating Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 and I want to do a simple audio crossfade between two clips like discriped in the documentation in the expert mode.But I can'rt place the transition manually in the center between the clips. It can be placed only either at the end of the first or the beginning of the second clip, it will not drop in the center.Even if I manually change the position via the popup to "center" it will not align.The same happens if I apply the standard transition to the entire track, all will be placed on the beginning of the right clip.In my example I use the quick time video format (h264) from my camera, but it will not work with other containers like mp4 as well.* it's a fresh install * restarting does not solve anything* using the other audio transition has the same problem* the video transition can be placed between the clips* it does not matter whether the transition is 1 or 2 seconds* the example clips are app. 20 seconds and one minute; but again it does

I produced a movie in Premiere Elements 15 and when I try to burn it to a DVD it produces an ISO file in my PC. How do I burn the ISO onto a DVD that will play on a DVD player and not just on my computer?

I recently purchased Premier Elements 2018 and I'm attempting to add several videos from my Samsing S8 to a project and export to a file with them all in the same mp4 video.I've tried exporting the video in every format up to 4K but the quality is always poorer than the original video. Could someone please tell me what settings I can use so that the output has the same nice clear quality that the original files have ?

I am trying to add narration to my video project. I have the editing in advanced mode and all the video and audio from my gopro comes through fine.I went through tutorials to find out how to "turn on" the microphone option for the program, and I plugged in the microphone to my desktop computer.I hit tools and narration and started talking then hit stop. I file went into my "project assets" and I moved it onto the time line (in the audio narration track)But it is way to soft. I can just hear that there was something recorded but I can not get the volume up.I tried increasing the volume at the microphone pop up box and I tried increasing the "yellow rubber band" on the audio track neither did anything to the volume.Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or make a suggestion? Hi can someone please help me, im trying to edit a video and once i insert all my video files in to the program I highlight all the file and press to render them all and every time it just plays the whole project and doesnt render them, all files im using are filmed on a lumix dslr at 1080p and also when i try to use files from my phone iphone 7 it will not render them as well. please someone help resolve this because i dont want to have just wasted £130 on elements 2018 and have to buy premiere pro now i havnt had a chance to use this program yet!

I am working on a MacBook Pro and trying to save a project into a Window Media Player Friendly file.   Is there a way I can do this, without jumping out a window.Thanks in advance

i have this weird issue where I used this program for a year or so. but one day it asked out of the blue my serial number in a pop up-window, didn't think much of it, and kept editing like normal. but the next time i reopend premiere and loaded my project, the same window popped up. but this time i couldn't get around this, so I filled in my serial number, then it just closed, and the same window popped up again! so now i can't license the software anymore, and i can only use the trail version.i tried reinstalling it but that didn't help either.

Was working ok now a message saying "codec required" have tried reinstalling but still asking for Codec

Hi all, I continue to have a few instances on my latest project timeline, where there is about half a second or so of black, even when using a transition effect, and my video clips are snug against each other in my timeline. Anyone know the fix for this, as I feel it is a fairly common editing problem in Premiere Elements, I just haven't seen an answer that works for me yet. Screen shot attached

I have been working on two large projects in Premiere Elements 14 for several months. They are, agonisingly, not finished. Suddenly from a few days ago when I try to add a new file using 'add media' files/ folders the file does not appear in elements organiser. I have retested the process umpteen times. When I close Premiere and re-open it I get the error message that it has failed to open the catalog and that it is corrupt or out of date and can't be updated.If I try to create a new album I get the error message "Error creating new album". No new album.If I try to delete any file from the Organiser I get the error message "Error deleting media" and the media is not deleted. (I had hoped that if I deleted recent files that might help.)I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements 14. Curiously when I did this when I opened Premiere I got the same error message about it failing to open the catalog but when I opened a new project I was able to add a new file and the Organi

Is there a way to make a slideshow that automatically pauses at each slide?  Like the slideshows that were done with slide projectors and 35mm film.Thanks

While using PE 11 on windows 10 os  the video and audio pauses/freezes after a second or two. Pressing play again gives same result 

I can can create a .mov file of my MiniDV tapes in PP (DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, Linear PCM, Timecode. SD 6-1-6).  Can I do so, somehow in PE 2018.  I can't afford PP in CC.

HiI've had Premiere Elements 18 on my machine for about 3 months and it's been absolutely fine until a couple of days ago.The problem now is that playback in the time line goes all choppy once I start trimming and deleting parts of the clip. However the clip plays smooth until I start the trimming etc.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling PRE but that hasn't made any difference.A few days ago I installed Lightworks and then uninstalled it again - could this have been the problem? Does anyone know how to fix this?ThanksJonathan

Hello, I have made several videos now in Adobe Premiere Elements and all of them have this same issue.I can start a new project, import, edit and export project. But if I do not finish it in one sitting ; if I save it and close the program, upon reloading the program it will not re open I have tried all of my back up's and the auto saves, I continue to get the error - a unknown error occurred while opening the project. I have the slightest idea of what to do . Thanks for any help.

How can I access my pictures when they are on a separate drive? In order to free up disk space on my C:\ drive , I moved my picture files to a separate drive.

My apologies if this has been answered before.  I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer to my specific query. I am using Premiere Elements 2018. This is a new experience for me.  I have some experience of audio editing but none whatsoever in video editing.I have a short clip of my daughter riding a horse around a small paddock.  It lasts just over a minute.  I would like to edit it so that it fits a favourite song of hers which is just under three-and-a-half minutes long. How would I do this, please? Specifically, how do I merge clips together, and in such a way that the cut/join is leat apparent?Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

adobe pre cc 2018 amd rx 580 is not working pls help me!

I recently had to buy a new laptop.  Then, I purchased the new Photo elements premiere.  It is having codec problems.  Now you are telling people to download an older version.   This is very wrong.  I have always loved this program.  I have been upgrading since you first came out.  Now I am angry.  If you are telling us to use an older version then I want a refund.  No sense in me having this version if it is not going to work.  I don't have patients in figuring out how to make it work or downloading old versions.

In PE 14 I have an audio mp3 file which I have used several times in different projects without a problem.  PE has now abruptly stopped even recognizing this file when I try to import it via Add Media followed by Files & Folders on the PC.  It just doesn't show up in the list of files when I navigate to the relevant folder.I have tried converting the file to a different format (WAV) but the problem remains the same.  I then altered the default progam the file opens with from iTunes to PE14. In that case opening the file does cause it to be opened in PE14 as a brand new project.  That is unsatisfactory because I want to import it into an existing project.Any ideas gratefully received

Hi,I have deleted the beginning of a clip then applied a cross dissolve transition between that clip and the one before it. But now when I play it back, the deleted portion from the beginning of the clip is partially showing during playback. Any ideas how to resolve this?Thanks,Scott

I have a bunch of .webm files that I would like to edit using Adobe Premiere Elements, but cannot open them.Is this possible? and if not can we please have a patch to allow this ubiquitous format to be used?(I do realise the work around of converting the .webm files but would rather like to avoid that)

RE: Windows 10 64-bit; Premiere Elements 2018In earlier versions of Premiere Elements, I recall being able to transform a clip (when animating it) by skewing its appearance into an evolving faux perspective using skew. I'm pretty sure it was in the Motion effects panel. Where has skew gotten placed (or replaced) in Premiere Elements 2018?
