I used to use Final Cut Express on my iMac. It had a feature where you could apply keyframes, I believe it was called, and wire frames. It was possible to move frames around, creating special effects. For example, you could create an effect where a person got it by a car (yes, I know, a morbid example) by moving a frame of a car from, say, left to right, and moving a frame of a person also left to right. The frame of the car would eventually overtake the frame of the person. It's a loose description, but it gave the illusion of the front of the car striking the person. The clip of the car could be edited to the front of the car would be right up against the right edge of the frame, and the clip of the person edited so that the person was right up against the left edge of the frame. Butting both frames together with the car on the left and the person on the right looked like the car and person were making contact.Does Premiere Elements 2018 have
I am strongly considering purchasing Premiere Elements 2018. I have some questions for which I cannot find answers to in the web site or users manual.1. How many available video/audio tracks are there?2. I believe I saw something about keying. Is this "green screen"? This is an available option?3. I have an older camcorder that records on DV tape, the small cassettes. Will Premiere Elements 2018 import video from this?4. Regarding inserting transitions, is it necessary to put handles on clips before inserting a transition? Or does Premiere Elements do this automatically? I had video editing software that required putting handles on clips first. The drove me crazy.Thanks.
I FAR prefer a PDF file of the manual that I can print out and notate. Please tell me how and where I can get this. I don't want to take the laborious time of cutting and pasting pages from the browser. [Personal information removed by moderator.]
Windows just automatically updated and now it seems that I can no longer hear the sounds or Music when editing my videos in Premiere Elements 15. Is there a way to fix this? I loaded older video edits and they didn't play either. (Yes, I had the sound on, both in the program as well as with the computer).Thank you.
This post isn’t a complaint, but rather a tip for anyone that may run into this problem. I recently had some 8mm film transferred to DVD with the intent of creating a home video using PRE18. (some older people may remember the 8mm film) The video files on the DVD are the VOB type and although they would input directly to PRE18, they were quite difficult to work with. Particularly when rendering, sometimes it would take hours to do small sections and it often would freeze up requiring a restart of the program. On a whim, I decided to convert the files to mpeg format using Handbrake software and they now work quite well when creating HD video output to Mp4. The final results, combined with images, soundtrack etc, are quite good. Just some food for thought.
I'm running Premiere Elements 2018 on a laptop running a Gforce 840M graphics card which isn't be detected under preferencesWhen i run GPU sniffer i get this error Not chosen because of kernel failure. All of my drives are up to date. Any thoughts on how to get this working?
In the Adobe Premiere Elements product I just purchased won't allow me to select UHD 4k for my project in the Edit/Project Settings/General window. It defaults to HD 1080i. See screenshot of that window below with the HD 1080i default that I am unable to change. How can I select 4k as the setting for my project?Adobe clearly says Premiere Elements has 4k editing capability: Compare products & buying guide | Adobe Premiere Elements 15 vs. 14, 13 I've been on hold with Adobe support on the phone and on chat for several hours with no response, so I very much appreciate any help on this (seemingly simple) topic. I very simply want to insert a 4k background still image and then add high-res videos on top of that, all at the standard 60 frames per second of 4k devices. I have a late 2013 MacPro that very easily plays 4k video in Quicktime (it doesn't display the full 4k resolution, nor does it display all the 60 frames in each second, but it does play 4k vid
Trying to save my edited photos and I keep getting a error message saying I do not have enough memory (RAM). I cannot save to the cloud or the harddrive. This problem started yesterday--before that Elements 18 worked fine.
Boa noite.Ultimamente tem aparecido o seguinte erro depois de iniciar o Premiere elements 2018:"Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close"Este erro é aleatório mas ultimamente tem aparecido sempre deitando abaixo o programa. Obrigado.Your post moved from Photoshop Elements to Premiere Elements.[Moderator]
Does the free trial come with the full options for annotating with graphics??Does the free trial allow for adding custom title pages??Can I draw diagrams on title pages like in Microsoft PowerPoint using shapes???
I just updated the program and it's now crashing or freezing whenever I try to do anything. Edit/splice video, add a slide, add a picture, it all makes it freeze or crash. I'm not really computer savvy, so I don't know how to get the information on what kind of system I'm running this on, my IT dept was no help. I know its Windows, but I'm lost after that. If you tell me what you need to know, I'll google how to find it out. Please help! Thanks!
I'm trying to import MOV. files from my Canon camera. Every time I try to import this type of file, an error message saying " this file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed". I read somewhere that if i download quick player, this should solve the problem, however it hasn't. What can I do to resolve this?
I follow these steps, Customizing shortcuts and I'm unable to edit or create shortcuts because the options for doing so are grayed out. I'm using Adobe premiere elements if that makes any difference.[Moderator note: Title edited to correct typo.]
I just purchased an upgrade from Premier Elements 15 to the2018 version. It installed perfectly, no issues but now I’m having major issueswith it not rendering and adding media. The program constantly freezes and evensometimes won’t open at all. I predominately use photos and only some video andthe photos are large size BUT all previous versions of Premier Elements havehandled these in the past. I used version 2018 once, just opened it and added afew files then closed it and deleted version 15. Did I just waste $176 and canI delete this version and reinstall 15? Or can I fix these issues?
I want to place a "start" or "play" button on my opening title screen so the video doesn't start as soon as I insert it into my dvd player.I don't need sub menus, markers, or any other options. Just a simple start button below the title text so I have a chance to sit down before the video starts. I have searched the web and adobe sites and cannot find a simple answer to this simple question. Is it doable?
When using premiere elements with any footage, no matter where it came from, there are two black bars that I can never get rid of without cropping footage. Does anybody know how to get rid off these black bars that appear above and below footage, without having to crop anything? Thanks.
I am editing with Adobe Premiere elements 11. When I drag the timeline, it enlarges makes it impossible to do an edit. How do I adjust this?
I am attempting to install Premier Elements 2018 (free whilst I choose whether to buy) and have encountered the issue that my installation is incomplete. When I click "error summary" I am told that "Your file was not found" (ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND_).I am unable to install and, therefore, unable to decide whether to buy. Also, without adequate support from Adobe, I am disinclined to buy.Could someone please help me?
I am kinda desperate for help.I installed Premiere Elements 2018 three days ago, and every time I install it it says that some elements were failed to be installed. When I open the programme, it does work for a while, but I can't play the edited video. Moreover, after doing just the slightest of work-it crashes. In the span of those three days I tried removing and reinstalling the programme about three times, but that didn't help.
I upgraded to premier elements 2018 from - the 14 version. The 14 version redered fine and fast. The 2018 version is very slow and takes for ever. HELP!What has changed?
Hi,I have read that for Premiere and Photoshop Elements you need a 2 Ghz processor. I have an Intel core i3 1,7 Ghz processor. Will the program work with that or not?Can anyone help me with this? Thanks,Franka
My videos are done and I'm making a DVD.The motion menu button for the Scenes is stuck at 00;00;04;29 and I would like for it to be around 30 seconds instead of 4.My sound menu button is set at 29;29. So whenever I set the motion menu button at 29;29 also, it just reverts back to 4;29 or 4;22.My background picture is still.Am I doing something wrong? Overlooking something?I have Prem. El. 15, Windows 10.
I have a video with several different songs and the timing of when the pictures/videos play with each song is imperative. When I save in non-HD the quality is very lousy. However, when I am saving in HD (and I've tried many different forms of HD) it is changing the timing of the video and things are in the right spot anymore. I cannot find anything to help me fix this. I need the video for a retirement tomorrow morning! HELP!!!!
I purchased Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements to make timelapse videos. I see nothing in the pdf manuals about making a timelapse. Did I buy the wrong software? Lowell McCormick
