Premiere Elements

When I updated to Windows 10 I was having trouble with Premiere Elements 9 so I updated to 15.I have a Canon Vixia HF R11 camera and shoot all my video and always have 1920 x1080, LW, Super fine.When I was using Elements 9, I had no trouble I had no trouble burning DVDs in wide screen that would work on my older Samsung DVD player.What setting should I use to be able to play on an older DVD player without it showing in a stretched mode.I hadn't used Elements 9 for a while but it seems to me there was a selection to output to a Wide Screen mode that wasn't HD and it would play on a regular DVD.I am very frustrated as I am try to produce a DVD for friend that will play on a regular, non HD, DVD.  Just like I have done in the past with the same Camera and Elements 9.Looking forward to you feed back.

HelloI have a video clip with the following propertiesType: MPEG Movie (MP4 format)File Size: 2.24MBImage size: 1398x786Frame rate: 23.976Duration: 30 secondPixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0When i bring this clip into Elements 15 and after doing brightness and contrast adjustments, when i do "Export and Share" it creates a file which is much larger and also the image size is different, I am confused as to why it a larger file is created and where is the extra information coming from?Thanks for your helpAmit

When i import videos from files that came from my Sony camera i can't have soundtrackthe properties seen with VLC tell me that the sound is Aka AC3 A52 (it seems to be a specific Sony format)with PREL 2014 it's ok, no problem, i have the audio track, but not with PREL 2018 only video track ?What can i do (stay with the older version !)Thanks for your any answer.Frédéric

I am trying to add captions to my video. If I add a line and then cut it to change the text for the next section of audio, the text in the previous line also changes. How do I get it to treat each one as a individual item? I don't want to have to add a new text box each time, because then I have to reposition it and make sure it is in the exact same place as the previous line, and that's just a pain.

So, I’ve previously bought Premiere Elements 2018, & I already created two projects on it. The first one went very well with some video clips, audio track and some effects. Now my second project has a lot more effects and much more video clips, but when I went to export it, it immediately gave me the “compiling video: error unknown” message. I’ve already went through multiple forums about possible problems. I’ve even upgraded my ram to 16gbs. The only solution I’ve found was removing the audio track. Once I did that, it worked perfectly. Anyone know why this is the case?

I'm trying to edit a video and my premiere elements 14 is very slow. My thumbnail and sound is not matching up so I am unable to edit. Please Help

Hey all;I'm not that technical but I could use the adobe premiere 2012 pretty efficiently and i'm struggling with the 2018. I have edited a video, saved it and i'm ready to export it to facebook and Instagram. However, when I go to the "EXPORT AND SHARE" button, I then click on the "ONLINE" option and it brings up a warning box that says social websites are not available...  Whats up with this? Please help me figure this out..I need to be able to post directly to facebook and Instagram...

Hi thereI have been importing some basic animated shapes from Toon Boom Harmony into PE12. They look great and work fine. They export fine as well.However - the moment I change the object by scaling it in PE12 they develop a tremoring flicker. I've tested this quite a bit. Any thoughts.  If I don't re-size them in PE12 then I'm fine.

After installing Elements 2018, I am receiving  "Incompatible Display Driver" message. Have tried reinstalling drivers for my graphics card but doesnt improve the situation.DirectX Diagnostic shows the following settings;Help solve the problemSincerely,Vadim

After I apply this effect to a clip, how can I see the keyframes it applied? I know I can right-click on the clip and choose to 'Show keyframes' for other actions (scale, position, etc) but not for the spped up or slow motion effect. Is there a way to do this?Thanks

Okay, this is a weird one. About six months ago I noticed that on some (but not all) videos, the color was different in Premiere Elements (15) than what played in PowerPoint; specifically, facial tone became much paler.Since then, when this has happened, I've adjusted "Hue", making it redder (pinker) and that essentially works. But it's tedious – I have to save/export the newly hued video, import it to PPT and play, then again and again till it's right.Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I downloaded and installed Premier Elements 11 onto my laptop, but it's not meant for that kind of thing. Can't sustain the program, overheats etc. Now I have access to a pc. I'd like to transfer the program from my laptop onto the pc. How do I do that?

Just downloaded Premiere Elements 11 to a new Windows 10 PC. Elements won't open properly due to "missing" DirectX, but I did the diagnostic and DirectX is there and operating properly. How do I get Premiere Elements 11 to connect with it?Thanks.

Hi,I nearly finished editing a video, and when i click on the file "movie.prel" to do the final touches, it FREEZES and does NOT let me edit, and the files don't even show up. It opens elements 15, and then freezes. ALL i need to do is to do a few more edits and save the video, however when it opens premier elements and goes to 100%, none of the clips are shown, and freezes, then I need to click on "elements" and then go to "force quit." This happens EVERY time. Why is it doing this?

I upgraded Premiere 13 to Premiere 2018 this morning.  I am now able to drap and drop the video into Premiere 2018.  However there is no audio when I preview.  What am I doing wrong?  (Everything used to work so smooth before!)

Hi all,I was looking for some help as I recently installed Premiere Elements 13 onto a new computer and when I went to add a few audio clips using the button below the timeline there was nothing there for me to add in either the "Sound Effects" or "Music Score" pages. Normally there is a library of either effects or music that I can add but the library seems to be missing. Hello!I've been working on this project for my acting class for three days and everything has been fine. Then last night, the narration I recorded wouldn't play when I would play my video. The music is fine and the audio is fine just the narration won't play. This is a project due in 4 days and I really need help. This is a school computer which is a Think Pad. The software that is downloaded on it is Adobe Premiere Elements 15. I have tried multiple solutions and none has worked. Please help! Thank you!!

Does PSE/PRE organizer 2018 search video for people faces?  does it create video scenes from the video files, and organized these things along with photo data?The documentation and forums, etc. seem to suggest that video is also searched and possibly parsed into "scenes".  I cant tell if this is really true, or possibly applied to some previous version, etc.

I did an update yesterday to my Adobe Premiere elements 13.1(20150131.daily.767917).  Now cannot drag and drop video from my video camera into the software. Please help. 

I am making a video where I use the templates provided by Adobe, however, I can't seem to change the background to an image I want. I been searching on the Internet everywhere, but can't find the answer to my question.

I have premiere elements 11. I have produced many videos out of it without issue. However, I have rarely done a lot of messing with a video that I add in. I typically have a title screen and end screen. Then I add a video in the middle and leave it as is. Recently, I tried to experiment with effects, using the trim feature to split the video up into pieces that have the Gaussian blur effect applied. However, when I go to publish the video, the quality is much poorer than when I just leave the video untouched within the project. The video is less clear and also choppier (maybe - not an expert on how to describe the issue).FYI, I am currently seeing a message asking if I want to fix quality problems in clips when I add a video. Maybe that is a factor. However, if I leave the clip untouched, the published video looks good.Why is the video quality so much poorer when I trim and add effects?

Please help.    I am converting VHS to digital.   I have been using Diamond VC500 digitizer with PowerDirector 12.   The output is a standard mpg file.  Here are the properties that show up when I view in PE12: mpeg movie, 720x480, 29.97 frame rate.  I have Windows 10 on a powerful pc, all drivers up to date, etc.When I view this mpeg file with anything other than within PE12 it looks fine but once I import into PE12 it has green frames all throughout the video and it exports that way too.   I have tried just about every project setting all with same results.    PowerDirector's DVD burner isn't working right so I want to use PE12 to burn a dvd and make some other edits but now I am at a loss.Please help!
