Hi could you help please, I have mp4 files some of which do not fully load into PE18 (Premier Elements 18), only the sound track loads, these files do play using the Windows default program, other files recorded at the same time and from the same folder work perfectly in PE18.  File size, around 3 GB.Camera used, Drift Ghost S.PC operating system, Windows 10.Adobe program, Premier Elements 18.Thanks, John

Hello,Hoping the forum can help as I am pretty desperate now.I am using Windows 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 14. I recently had to reinstall AP and since then cannot open a project to carry on working on it. However when I try to do it I get the message – “File Import Failure. This type of file is not supported” Also reference to maybe not having the right codecThe files are still sitting in the directory they always were which is the one AP sets up on my drive when installing. No external drives involved.Thanks to these forums these are the things I have tried –Installing Quicktime – No differenceLooking for a dialogue box asking me where my files are – I don’t get oneUsing Project Archiver – When trying to work with the archived project I get the same messageEdit – Locate Media (This option is always greyed out)Would really appreciate help here as what works for others does not seem to work for me.Thanks

Have large map as a background. Trying to have photo of a dance (first, build up to video later) appear small at the country it is from, expand to fill most of screen, pause, shrink back to the country. Next photo do the same thing from next country. Have been working with Pan/Zoom, image mask transitions, etc., etc. Not finding a way to do it. Just putting the photo in another track on the timeline does not let me expand/shrink it. Any suggestions from out there?

I am trying to make some sense with light room and feel that it is getting more complicated.  I want to just take family photos and make phonebooks.Lightroom wants you to use their phonebook people.  Plus it seem to be too complicated.  How do you get your edited photos up to say a Shutterfly

Hi I downloaded (and paid) the latest Premiere Elements version (15) recently and tried to install the app. Doesn't work. I am getting an Error Message saying "Installation fehlgeschlagen" - yep, I am German - but on hint whatsoever to why that failure occurs - and no hint on how to get my money back. Anyone had the same issue? Anyone around with a solution? CheersJens

New to this so be kind.I'm trying to export video for use on YouTube but the file size is too large for my internet to upload quick enough. I'd like to have a more managable file size but I'm unsure if I'm doing something wrong. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 18 on Windows 10 (64-bit)The file I am uploading into Elements is a wmv. file at 146mb, see screenshot for more specs. What is the best export settings for this? The default export settings jack the size up to 450mb+ and I've been unable to get this size down. What project settings should also be selected when starting the project? Any help is appreciated.

Just like using a Slide Show for jpeg images in a single file, is it possible to put a number of videos or videos plus jpegs in a file and watch them sequentially?

We use WebEx to do internal learning (Professional Development) People will give a presentation and I WebEx it for remote folk to watch as well as record it. The recording is horrible compression and slides are unreadable so the only thing i use the recording for is the audio and a visual queue as to when the slides changed. I take the recording we get from WebEx and then I take the users slides and export them as JPGs then I put the JPGs over the video in the time line as I see that the user changes the slide. Very simple process that just involves scrubbing till the slide changes and put that slide in place. The end result is a nice narrated slide show that other teammates can use to learn form.I was just curious instead of me scrubbing till the slide changes is there a way in Premier that I can have Premier look for the changes and set markers of some kind? I am not very familiar with Premier so I don't even know the terminology to even look for it. The slides are static slides till

After adding media the timeline shows clips from previous renderings.  I close Premiere Elements 15 and restart it but when I add new media the old media still appears on the timeline.  ?? I must be doing something wrong and would appreciate any advice on how to correct this issue.Jim

Hi all, I've been using Premiere Pro for some time now and I know how to unlink audio from a clip and then delete. However, I'm running into an issue with some of my clips from a recent film I did in that even after I delete the audio tracks, the audio is still playing. It is driving me crazy because a lot of it is on-camera audio that sounds god awful. Anyone know how to fix this?? Is there a hidden audio track?

Hello everyone,I just installed First Elements 2018 (download) and I have a problem:- During a video editing, I recover my media stored on my hard drive from my PC and put them in place on the track. These media are videos taken by an HD camcorder.- When setting up the media on the track, the video appears, but the soundtrack is abscente!For information, the selected media are saved in ".MPS" and ".MOV".By cons, if I put a video on the track in ".MP4", I have no problem. I see the video and I hear the soundtrack associated with it.For information, I started my video editing with the versions First Elements 10 and 13 and have never encountered any problem! Super reliable.I just switched to the 2018 version which I fully trust.I think this has to be a setting or make a fix?Thank you for your feedback, which I think should not be too complicated.Fabian

I see a +1 in a small box with a red outline just to the right of each Edit Point (except the first) on the Expert view of the Timeline of a project I am working on. I've never seen that before. What does it mean? The Edit Points are the places where I've snipped. Please bear with me as I'm quite new at this.

when i try to export hd from time line to usb or hd card about 9gig it will only copy 1kb have correct setting and 16 gig cards and usb copies to blue ray or standard dvd with out issue any ideas

Dear community,I must create videos in a special format - 768x320 pixels, size ratio 1:2,4.so I scale it to 1920x800 (1:2,4) and created an user defined Export Format 768x320.The result in PREL is looking well. "Mediainfo" displays the correct pixel format 768x320, but when I play the Video using VLC or Media Player, there is a black border exceeding the range of 768 Pixels to 1080.It seems that PREL is not able to export the video with a pixel number smaller than 1080.What am I doing wrong?Second, there are big differences between PREL 12 and 15.PREL 12 is working better than 15; 12 creates the Export as described, using 15 half of the content, i.e. text, is positioned outside of the 768x320 area.

My footage is slightly out of focus and blurry. I know that in Premiere Pro UNSHARP MASK exists to remedy this. Is there an equivalent function in ELEMENTS?Thank you!

For some reason I am having issues with my green screen. I am able to use chroma key to get the green screen to disappear however my background image is not showing up. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

Each time after using an external monitor with my mac pro and then going  back to using the laptop I cannot find the bottom menu bar on the Elements program.Plus when i use a action I can't see the action in "action" and cannot tweak it. A couple of time I fix it but have no idea how.  Please help (if you can figure out what i said!)

I purchased this app through Apple AppStore several years ago but I have been not able to open this app for a long time, probably since MAC OS 10.8. Maybe I need to upgrade it??? Hello, I have been having an incredibly annoying and frequent error when I try to open Premiere Elements. Sometimes the program opens just fine, but sometimes I get an error message like the image below.It isn't always SCAudio.sc that's the problem, but different files come up and say the same thing, that they are not designed to run on windows or contain an error. Then I have to uninstall, restart my computer, and reinstall to get premiere to work again, but even after I do that if I try to open it later on I might get this error again and will have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling.I'm using Premiere Elements 14 on a Windows 10 computer, and I downloaded the appropriate version off of adobe's website (the 64 bit windows version), but this problem keeps occurring no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall the program.I'm open to any suggestions, I've already made sure my operating system was up to date, as well as premiere itself, and all of my drivers.Thank you.

I can only find one theme in Premiere Elements 15. Where do I get the others from?

I am using Premier Elements 11 on PC and works fine, decided to add to a new laptop with W10 and the work space text is so small that can't hardly read it.  The drop downs are fine, the video is fine, just can't hardly see the text for the various functions.  Is there a way to enlarge the basic workspace screen/background as this is basically unusable?  thanks in advance

I am using APE2017. I have a library of completed videos in MP4 format. I would like to add a credit sequence to the end of each video but the original clips are long gone. All I have is the MP4.If I import the MP4 into APE timeline and add the credits to the timeline as another MP4, will I lose quality when I then render the timeline to create a single updated MP4?I know copied digital data is usually identical, but is this still the case with compressed formats?

Hi,I have read and viewed all the tutorials I can find on using the green screen and video merge effects but I can not seem to get it to work properly.  I am thinking my background is the problem.  How do I create the background I want to merge with the green screen?Thank you for any help.
