I had to return my computer to factory settings and need to reinstall my previously purchased PrEl. This time I want to install it without using the Akamai....installer as it caused me no end of problems in the past. I actually helped another person download and install the same version on their computer and the downloader gave a choice to install it through Akamai (sp?) or not. I don't remember that happening when I installed it a year earlier on my computer. I have downloaded the pages of the program (Ad Pr El) to install, but have not installed yet, because I don't want to run into the previous problems. Will this give me the choice, or am I locked into the necessity of using that other horrible program (Akamai)? It was constantly using my computer for its own ends, adding spyware, and stalling everything no matter how many times I uninstalled it. Thank you ahead of time for the answer.

I was nearly finished editing my latest video which needs to be uploaded today for my class. I decided to tidy up my videos file by creating sub-files and putting the videos in there. I do not know if the problem happened before that or after, but now all of my videos are showing as offline and I can't open any of them. They all have that red "Media Offline" script with the Japanese font. I read the other complaints about this problem and did the following:I opened and released all of the videos I had filed. Nothing.I restored everything from the recycle bin in case I had inadvertently deleted something important. THAT was a disaster. And nothing.I tried to find the button that says "Online" but I can't find it.I am running Adobe Premiere Elements 14.

I just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 15 and I am unable to use MP4 files from my Galaxy 8+ because I get the 'Add Media Failure' message "The importer reported a generic failure."  Looking through suggestions from others who have import problems with the same error I noted that the use of Apple Quicktime for Windows was considered as a solution but I also note that Apple has discontinued support for this program and recommends that it be removed. I understand that the variable frame rate is the cause for this problem but I don't see a good generic fix for it.  Is my Premiere Elements 15 useless for editing these files?

I have a question for you all.I am trying to edit a recording for a tutorial that I am making. First I am new to this and have been researching a little online and trying to use YouTube as well.It seems most of the information that is out there is for Gamers. I am not a gamer and only trying to produce a good video for a tutorial.I have tried using OBS and Icecream recorder for recording my desktop. If I replay these videos on my PC they look and sound amazing but as soon as I import them into Adobe Premier Elements 14 the video quality goes to crap. By crap I mean that the view of my desktop is not clear and can barely make out what the screen icons are! I have added a screen shot of the video so you can see what I am experiencing.Now if I stop the video while I am editing the picture becomes clear. I have rendered the video and it does not change at all. While the recording is playing everything looks to be scrambled or buffering?I have tried different formats. I have tried importing

I am new to Premiere Elements. I wanted to start with something a little cheaper and make certain I continue with video editing (YouTube) before putting too much money into things (of course, $3k later in camera equipment, I should have probably just went with CC Pro), so I got Premiere Elements. After gathering some videos around town and basic nonsense I decided to put together a little video for the experience. I took a dozen video's downtown and attempted to add them to the Organizer. The Organizer would not create any thumbnails for them..... eh? What good is an Organizer if you don't know what file you've got.So I created a chat with Adobe Support. They said the Organizer does not support thumbnails for 4k videos. (what?). Ok, that sucks, but at least the Premiere Elements project assets does based off previous experience with some Action Cam 4k videos I took, but now it's not working and I am not getting any video at all. Hi,So I created four different video clips on Premiere Elements 14, exported them as MP4 Video files, then placed them into my timeline so that I could link them all together.However, I have been having issues. My MP4 clips have no images and, instead, come up as "Media Offline"!First what does this mean?And secondly, how do I fix this problem?Help is always appreciated!Thanks.

I have used Premiere Elements 7 for years but recently got a new computer and reloaded the program. Now it is saying I must activate the MPEG2 component by copying my serial number and then going to Adobe to get an unlock key. I can't find the unlock key on Adobe. Any help would be appreciated.

I was working on a file within Premier Elements 14 this morning and now when I try and restore the saved file it says "this type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed".Is there a solution to this, it won`t load any of my other saved files now which were all edited within Elements 14.Is there anything I can do to resurrect this as one file has taken me ages to finish and I now cannot get it back.Many thanks.Paul.

Hi, I am looking to optimize my upload settings for YouTube videos - I want to get the highest possible quality without overdoing it and ending up with unnecessarily huge file sizes. My channel publishes videos of images that scroll along with popular music lyrics. Here is an example of one of my videos: PictureLyrics Brother Iz Over the Rainbow - YouTube​. Often there is some basic animation, but not any video. About two weeks ago I purchased Premiere Elements 15 from Amazon. I specifically purchased the download up front, and did not get the trial version (I did have a PE 9 installed, which I did not remove). I received my software key, and the install seemed to go fine.Now, every time I launch the Editor I am forced to enter my Adobe ID (password, it remembers my username); if I choose not to enter my credentials it exits PE. How can I get rid of this? The only related thing I could find on a search is here: How to Remove the "Sign In Required" that launches after install?  which isn't PE and, doesn't appear to work (so I haven't tried anything in that thread).Thanks,Chris

I've tried the forum with this issue but it still has not been answered.  On 1 Sep, after using PE14 without probs for 15 months, the program would not open. (Organiser and Photo Editor still worked).  I am using Windows 10, 64 bit operating system, x-64 based processor. These error msgs appeared...Following advice from other Forum members with the same problem, I un-installed and re-installed the software. PE14 then worked... until I tried to leave the program at which time it crashed with the error msg of 'has encountered an unexpected error and needs to close'.  On trying to open the software again, the above error messages appear again.  I have un-installed and re-installed the software twice now with the same results.  Something is causing the above files to be a problem after some 15 months.  The only thing I can find that corresponds with the date of this problem is a Microsoft Update that installed itself on 31 Aug.  I uninstalled that and hav

Hi,On my expert screen I have defined three vidéo and pictures. By testing the results after exporting the movie, the two screen are not the same !How to ensure that what I see on the exported video is the same as what I see on the expert screen ?

@ich habe neuerdings, außer Adobe Photoshop Elements, wie bisher, zusätzlich Adobe Premiere Elements für die Bearbeitung von Videos. Bei der Bearbeitung von in Alben im Organizer gesammelten Fotos und Videos, habe ich nur bei den Videos das Problem, dass sie sich nach der Bearbeitung (Schnitt, Belichtungsänderung etc.) nicht speichern lassen, d.h., beim Abspielen im Organizer erscheint immer wieder nur das unbearbeitete Original-Video. Was mache ich falsch, oder kann das evtl. ein Programm-Fehler sein? Hat jemand von Euch vielleicht eine Lösung?

Once I have uploaded separate audio and images, how do  I adjust the timeframe of the images as a group, not one-by-one?

Hello,For the last week I have been unable to launch Premiere Elements 14. I keep getting the bad image message below. I have already done a re-install. It launched correctly straight after and then I had the same issue again when I tried to launch it again later the same day. I am running Windows 10.

It was working yesterday morning, by afternoon - with no changes at all, it stopped and gave me 2 error messages related to DLL files.  I went back and re-downloaded and re-installed the program from the official site, but the errors remain.  The "organizing" and "Photo Editing" will work, but the Video editor produces the following errors.  I also get this error:What can I do to fix this?  Is there some place I can get these DLL's and replace the perhaps "broken" ones?Please help!

Total newbie/analog guy. Using PE 15 in the Expert mode. Trying to insert ppt slides into a recorded presentation. I can get the video and the slides (PNG Files) into the show no problem. My problem is that the slides are not proportionate to the screen. In other words, when I insert the slide it doesn't cover the entire the entire video. I tried sizing the slide, but adjustments are made in all four directions and the slide becomes too large. Is there a way to be able to size the slides so they are seen in their entirety and cover the full range of the underlying video? Any other ideas? I thank you in advance.

I am desperate... Searching everywhere, not finding how to change the default settings of my Premiere Elements 13 Titles & Text. Everytime I open Titles the lettertype is Absalom (you know, no one can read that..) and pitch is 250 (how can that be..). Please help, I want a NORMAL default lettertype plus pitch.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to help out.I recently had my original computer crash on me and it is in a no-boot state. The files however, are accessible. I'm running Premier Elements 11 on Windows 10. When I built up my next computer, I installed Premier Elements 11 and pointed it to my old library.When I opened Premier, on the right side of the screen, I had no tag tree hierarchy like I had before. On my pictures, there are definitely a large amount of tags that are not in my tag tree. I'm wondering if it's possible to find the tag tree file on my old computer. I see that when you go to the tag tree, there's a plus icon next to keywords, and under there you can click "import keyword tags from File". On my old computer is there any way to find those tag files?

My travelogues comprise of video clips, photos and maps. Is it possible to animate a graphic, a round dot for example, to show a route of travel on a map or onto a photo to show a climbing route. Someone suggested adding, in Photoshop,a dot to the map at the start of the route, save the file, add the second dot then 'save as' a different filename then repeat, adding more dots until the end of the route.  A transition between photos could then be set at a fraction of a second. This could lead to dozens of files and I suspect that there is a much better way using Keyframes but I may need to see a demonstration video of a similar project.

I have a photomerged landscape and have used the pan and zoom tool to pan from left to right. The duration of the pan seems to default to five seconds and this is too fast. I have Steve Grisetti's book: Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 15 and have tried to find a way of increasing the pan to ten seconds. It seems that it would be possible to time remap a video clip but not a photomerge. I have taken this route with the photomerged landscape to avoid the large blank spaces above and below when on screen.
