Premiere Elements

HiBefore I start the title to this thread is a very wild stab in the dark. Let me start from the top.I recently decided to progress on to Premiere Pro after using a (quite old!) version of elements for the last couple years. I paid for it and installed it only to find a series of issues including timeline play back not working properly and audio cutting out or never being present. After a few days of tinkering and getting nowhere I elect to cancel and go for the most modern version of elements thinking I'll have better luck.I'm having the same problems.Whilst I could have believed my computer lacks the clout to run the professional version, there's not a snow-days chance in hell it should struggle with Elements. The main issue seems to be when I start up my speakers start to give off a static like crackling noise. The audio will then fail to work, usually followed by a complete failure of video playback too. Anybody know why I'm getting distorted lines at the very bottom of my video conversions?  I'm converting video files that were captured with iMovie as Quicktime .mov files from miniDV using the Apple Intermediate Codec.  I've tried three different converters (Handbrake, ACDSee, and Movavi) and have tried outputing to mp4, avi, and mov and played with pretty much every parameter possible on all of the converters.  The converted files all have the same distorted/blurry lines at the very bottom.  Not a huge deal but it's driving me CRAZY!  I should note that if I open the original files on my Mac, Quicktime converts them on opening from AIC to Pro Res 422.  The converted files have no distortion and if I convert those Pro Res files to mp4 or whatever, they come out nice and clean.  What gives?Here's a screen grab to show you what I'm talking about.

Hello! I currently have an image size of 16.043 wide and 6.543 high and resolution is at 400 ppi. I want to print this for framing without cropping or adding a border, unless I can print it then cut that border away and be left with the image in one of the following: I have three frame size options - 8.5 x 14 - 11 x 17 - 12 x 16 - so is there any way to alter my image size to make it fit in one of these without a border, cropping or distortion? Or do I just need to give up and print it with a border, then cut a mat to cover the border? If I need to add a border, the paper sizes would be either 16 x 20 or 13 x 19 if I print at home. I want the image to fill as much of the available frame space as possible. Thanks for any input!

Just purchased Adobe Premier Elements 15 on the Adobe website. Downloading ..... the ......  software ...... is ..... so ..... slow. It's taking several hours! Why?

Hi - I used the "Narration"  function to record a narration track for a video. Unfortunately, I cannot hear the narration track when I play it back in the Quick or Expert setting. But when I move the Narration track to "Soundtrack" or "Audio 2" tracks in the timeline, I can hear my narration. I can't figure out why. It's as if the Narration track is somehow muted. Any suggestions? I amusing an LG PC running Windows 7.

Hey guys, I've been having some trouble recording narration in Premiere Elements 15. Rather, it's not with the actual recording; it's because I have a hard time viewing my script while getting it to record. If I tab out to the window that it's in after starting the recording, it instantly stops recording and everything in the recording window gets grayed out, persisting even when I tab back in. If I try to make the Premiere window smaller so I can see past it, it instantly snaps back to taking up the whole screen. I can drag it around by the top bar but if I try to shrink it it snaps back into position. This occurs whether the window is maximized or not. I can record now by dragging the window around so part of it's offscreen, but this seems like a very stupid issue that should have a solution, so any help would be appreciated.

This seems to be limited to mixing the Audio 1, Voice and Music tracks. Suppose I want to mix Audio 1, Audio 2 and Audio 3, can you do that?I notice that you can click on the name of the track in the tool and change it. If I try to change the tool for Voice to "Audio 2" (with a space between Audio and 2) it doesn't allow that and just reverts back to Voice. If I try to change it "Audio2" with no space, it allows this but just changes the name of the Voice track on the timeline to Audio2. So it doesn't allow modification of the Audio 2 track.Can you mix audio for arbitrary tracks?Thanks.

I recently had my 8mm film transferred to dvds.  Now, I want to edit them and clean them up.  Am I looking for the impossible? HelloI am using Premier Elements 11 and, while editing a clip on the Timeline in Expert Mode, I realised I was unable to delete a soundtrack I had put there earlier - in fact, I can't even slide it backwards or forwards.I have closed and relaunched the program to no avail.The soundtrack does not exist in the same folder on my desktop as the .prel and .mpg files.Thanks!Steve

Some time ago I had asked about "how to copy an existing DVD and burn it", I was given the information link to IMG Burn, however now when I go to that link it states that IMG burn is no longer available at that site. Can someone provide me with that link once again?  Also ATR provided me the information as to "how to download that DVD onto my computer and burn a copy of it", does that information remain the same?Thanks

Can I record video from an old video 8 camcorder into Premiere Elements?

The ads for premiere 15 says it has a touchscreen.  I run W7 that has no touchscreen.  The ad says that W7 is compatible.  How cam W7 b e compatible if it doesnhave touchscreen?

I have a Sony PXW-X70  video camera that records in either XAVC HD or AVCHD formats.  When I try to load the file from my disk to elements 14 these files are not recognized.   Are these formats that elements 14  doesn't recognize or am I doing something wrong?  Thank you for any help  that I can get.

I have an archived project that I had copied and now want to burn another disk from it. However when I go and preview it my text has "moved" and so have some of my jpeg files have resized. When I say "moved" I mean that they have moved in the positioning on the jpeg image. Also now when I go into the project to edit it, it will not "save" it the way that I re- edit. I am using Windows 10 PE 12.Any insight would be great Thanks

Hi GuysSorry to ask a simple question but I want to be clear.I am creating a Project which is largely built out of HD camera clips.I set the preferences to 1080p 30fpsAfter completing editing I saved the Project.I then exported two versions, both using SD.My question is :When I return to export more versions (including HD versions) will it export in genuine HD quality - or does the fact I exported the project in SD now mean that the project which was HD is now SD quality ?I think from reading that the answer is no, and the Project remains in HD, but the exports can be any chosen quality.  But I am not sure.. Hi Stefan. I have Adobe Premiere Elements 15. It looks like it will only save as .prel file, which is not much use as no-one else can read it without Premiere. The Help advice suggests to download Media Encoder to save in other formats, but I have a problem with that since the free download won't actually download... And if it did, the implication is that it would only be free for a while. Any advice please? When I go into Elements my pictures have ? marks on the pictures and when I click on them to see them in the larger format they appear blurry and I get a message that it is searching for a missing file and then moves to a page to reconnect to the missing file.  I click on the reconnect but it does not fix the problem and the picture remains blurry.  Before I click on it to enlarge it it is not blurry but does have the little ? on it.  It is only when I click on it to enlarge it that the pictures come up blurry.  Any ideas.

I have created a video using the trial version and it allowed me to export to a usb drive but it is unplayable after it has completed (took an hour) Just wondering if maybe it is because it is the trial version. Anyone know?

Hi all, I just purchased Premiere Elements 15, with the new haze removal function, one if the upgrade features I most needed. However, I can't find itAccording to the promo video, its in 'applied effects' underneath Motion and Opacity. However on mine, its not. I've looked everywhere to see if it needs to be enabled, but found nothing.Could someone help?
