PE15 visual display does not sync with audio track in Expert/Edit mode

Hello. Recently I found a disc for Adobe premiere Elements 10. I Was Using windows movie maker, so I was excited for an upgrade. I installed it and gave it a test run. I was trying to make a 1080p HD Video, But when I put in the video I wanted to edit, It did not show up in the preview box at the top left, just an empty gray box. When I click on the preview box, the current frame of the video shows up, but when I play it, the video does not move. The audio still moves and plays, but the video Is stuck on 1 single frame. I tried all the different project settings/presets for a different HD one that works, but none did. I even tried lowering the resolution to 720p but that didn't work either. It only works with video presets that are non HD (ex: 480p). I also tried one that worked in non-HD and changed the actual preset file to HD quality, but that gave the same error. At this point I'm convinced It's a problem with the software and how it handles HD quality (Please Tell Me If I'm Wrong)

I have Premiere Elements 12 running on Windows 8.1. I OWN this product, it's not CC. Bought it a couple years ago, have used it for several projects, now it simply won't open. I tried the troubleshooting suggestions on the forum from 2014; removed a line below the #  ::1    localhost. Didn't help. Tried option 2, renaming SLStore, didn't help. After I renamed SLStore, I got a dialog box which had me put in the serial number of my program. (I registered it as soon as I installed it).  I did so and got the same error message from Windows; I don't remember the exact wording, I can't even get the error anymore, but it was something like Windows can't run this, we'll let you if we find a solution to the problem. Right now I can't even get the welcome screen.We recently moved and I have a new ISP, plus just installed a new video card, a GEForce 1050Ti. I suppose either or both of these things could be causing the problem, but I'm just really angry and frustrated righ

Okay I have composed a disc with PhotoStory and it is a WMV file, I did download it into Premier Elements 12, but noticed that some of my audio files may have been Mp4s. Hey there, I have a big problem. I'm a video editor and really want to edit but there's no audio and I don't know what to do.Doesn't matter if I use  .mp4 .m4v .mov  or whatever, there's no sound. If I try a song it has a sound after the 10000 try and with th video it doesn't go. So I can't find a solution and I would be very thankful if you can help me

I have adobe premiere elements 14 and adobe audition, but cannot edit sound with audition adobe help is helpless and nothing on the web, I have a 7 day trial but wont use all and wont purchase. Has anyone solved this problem

I'm a new user, and am having an issue.I record off air programs on a Topfield STB as MPEG2 files and then edit them with PE15.Sometimes - about one in ten times - one clip will be missing audio.The original clip plays the audio fine, but the asset in PE15 will be minus its audio.The audio shows in the timeline as a flatline, not the usual envelope display.I've checked the mixer, and it's not muted or faded.Other clips in the timeline work fine.Deleting and re-adding the clip doesn't help.Any ideas/suggestions as to what's happening and how I can fix it?Thanks.

I am am a new user of this program, so my hope is that this problem is a straightforward fix. Unfortunately I haven't found the fix yet.I have set all of my scratch disk preferences to an external hard drive. I have saved my project on the external hard drive. I have emptied my cache folders. I had this same problem with the last video I edited--which was 20 minutes long and had a number of different types of media elements in it. Eventually, because that project was for a client with a deadline, I bailed and did a more basic edit in MS Moviemaker.However, this current video project is very straightforward. Only 2 .mov files and out of the box transitions. Around 5 minutes long. It's the first video I have tried to compile after the one that hung up though. So I have a feeling there is some memory suck thing going on that is "leftover" from my last project. I just don't know where to look and delete. I know this may sound odd but I have a video that I have been trying to edit but every time I put it into P.E. 14 it changes the video completely. I'm dead serious. I'll explain and then link to a video on YouTube showing what is happening. I'm ready to go beserk on this thing because it has been doing this a lot recently. Anyways here's how it changes it. Within the first :45 of the video the intro repeats twice and then it cuts ahead in the video but the audio stays the same. I know it makes no sense, but anyways, when I look at the end of the video at around 3:35 it no longer contains my outro; instead it contains audio from what should be about thirty seconds before that.I know this may sound confusing but it really is happening. I have tried restarting adobe and my computer to no avail, I have updated adobe P.E. as well. I am using a video I only have one of in my computer so the source video and the clip I'm trying to edit are the same file, so this should not happen at all. I am

Hi, I just recently built a new computer and am not able to open my editor. I bought this software about a year ago and used it on my laptop flawlessly when switching, however, the software no longer opens.These are my system specs:Windows 10 64 bit1 TB WD 7200 RPM HDDNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8gb GDDR32 GB DDR4 3250 Corsair Dominator Platinum RAMCorsair H100i liquid coolingIntel i7 6700k 4.0GHz TP-Link Wireless CardAsus Sabertooth Z170sWhat I have already done:About three times now I have re-installed the software,  each time putting in the product key and it installs easily. PE14.1 on a WIN7 PC...Sometime at the end of a video I add a number of photos (also using pan-and-zoom).After last video clip & before first photo I have often inserted a Graphic (Miscellaneous)called Road_Map into the timeline and placed a title text over this on video 2.This has worked fine on HD videos - now I've gone back to edit some pretty old (2012!) .avi videos.However, when I insert the same graphic into the time line I only see a small portion rather than the whole graphic as I did on the HD video:I assume this has to do with the lower resolution of this non-HD video.  The Frame Size of the project is 720 by 576.I have not been able to find a way to shrink the graphic - is there a way?

About a week ago I inquired about converting a Photo story project and Steve replied and told me just to import the windows movie file into Premier Elements and produce it in Adobe, but to make sure my resolution matched. I have done that, however before burning it I was able to find some information regarding the DVD player that I want it to play on. The specs are as follows:Insignia Player Model NS-BRDVD3Uses the following discs for burningDVD RW:  Files, Mp3, WMA, JPEG, BETA CDDVD-R: Finalized in VR mode only, standard version 2.0So now my question/dilemma is when I import the pictures onto the video line they import as a WMV file not as jpegs, however originally they were all jpeg files, my audio files I can change to Mp3 so they are not the problem.   I want to burn it on a Verbatim DVD-R data life plus disc, but don't know about the "finalized in VR mode only Standard version 2.0" Do I need to redo the project in adobe premier elements and make all of my video line

When I import clips in elements 15 I have audio lag other apps work OK with these clips and  other mp4 clips work OK in elements The clips are shot on a cannon camcorder in the highest res 50fps 1080 etc , they play OK on media players and work on other video editing apps

Hi everyone,I've tried to find answers to my issue but couldn't get some.I've been using Premiere Elements for around 7-8 months now on Windows 10. Everything was alright. However, since I made the Windwos 10 Anniversary Update a few weeks ago, Premiere Elements 14 started to be vers slow... it's quite annoying for video editing. The video is not smooth at all and even the sound is bad.Does anyone have the same problem or have a tip?Thank you!Fred

I am using Windows 10 Home. I purchased the Photoshop Elements 15 and Premier Elements 15 bundle the end of November. After using the Shake Reduction function on a video (there is no Shake Stabilizer option) in both "quick" and "detailed", I got a red bar across the screen that reads: "To avoid extreme cropping set Framing to Stabilize Only or adjust other parameters". I do not see any option regarding Framing or Stabilizing. I am not sure what "other parameters" means. Where do I find this information?There is no online help for Elements 15 for this feature, and it looks like the shake reduction has changed since the last online tutorial information referring to Elements 13 and "Shake Stabilization". I would appreciate help in allowing me to use the shake reduction feature in Premier Elements 15 as it was intended. It was one of the reasons I upgraded from the Elements 8 bundle.

I'm trying to import a MP4 file from my home security system.  I can see that the file was imported into my video folder, but I'm getting the "importer reported generic error message and the guide will not let me proceed to the next step.  I'm using Windows 10 Home Edition with Adobe Premiere Elements 13.  As an aside, I really appreciate the forum here already. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to get by the "missing disk" pop-up...  It's been a little frustrating so far.  Any help is much appreciated...

Seither mühe ich mit einer Fehlermeldung beim Start von Premiere Elements ab:"Ein nicht kompatibler Display-Treiber wurde erkannt. Aktualisieren Sie den Display-Treiber um eine .....Display Driver: Intel(R) Graphics 3000 3.0.0 Build 9.17.10.4229"Driver updaten hat nichts genützt. Ich kann die Meldung wegklicken, Premiere Elements wird geöffnet, blockiert aber anschliessend das ganzen System, so dass nur noch ein gewaltsames Abschalten hilft.Kann mir jemand einen tipp geben?DankeVelosophe

Hi,When I capture from my webcam, it only allows the file format to be QTKit which means the files I'm capturing are huge. I can't see anyway to change the file format it captures to. I really need the file sizes to be much much smaller when capturing from webcam. Any ideas how I can change this?I'm using PE-14 for Mac and using the built-in iSight webcam.Many thanks!
