Premiere Elements

Hi - I'm currently having an issue with my video after exporting it to youtube using a  Fv4 file. The video has black borders and I can't seem to fix the issue post production. After reviewing my project in Premiere Elements I realized that the first video I imported into the project assets had QT codec without the 16:9 ratio. This locked my presets and changed the format to all my subsequent videos in the project assets. The majority of the footage I used came from a GoPro, so most of the file were compressed down to a different aspect ratio instead of using DSR (1920 x 1080).Since I put a lot of time (months) into making this project is there anyway to: 1) change the aspect ratio so all files match 16:9? (interpret footage doesn't seem to work)  2) Copy my clips into a new project where I can start with a new editing preset and correct the aspect ratio?Sorry, If I'm not entirely clear. HiSince today, wenn I try to change the level of the audio track with CTRL+mouse I get my dot but a type of bezier line with  it and it is difficult to properly take it down or up. Has someoe a idea hat happenand can I doThaksClaude

I just upgraded to PE15 from PE13 on a Windows 10 OS. The upgrade was to get a better H.264 export with more options.In PE13 I was able to create an H.264 AVC video in an Quicktime .mov file. The new PE15 version creates two files Test.m4v and Test.wav. I would have expected it to generate 1 file, not 2 files. The m4v file is not recognized when attempting to play it back in Windows media viewer or VLC. The file size is also too small to be a video file.PE15 was able to create an mp4 file using the "H.264" preset which was playable. But use of the "H,264 AVCHD" preset does not generate a working video. I also used the Quicktime format   Export->Devices->Custom->Format Quicktime and setting video codec to H.264. This generated a workable .mov file but it has the same issues as with version PE13. The H.264 encoder does not have all the control options that are required.The failing export is done using PE15 Export->Devices->Custom->Format H.264 AVCHDPremiere El

I noticed that in many Youtube videos, youtubers have multiple versions of themselves on screen in the same shot. How are they doing that? Is there some way to do this in premiere elements?For example:Similar examples exist with the two people closer, or in front of one another. So, how does this work? Thanks for the help!

Burning my movies with menu's on a LG blu-ray burner on my Macbook Pro goes perfect until 98% of step 5.Then the notification "not enough space" is in the left bottom side and everything stops.I've clicked "fit to disc size" otherwise it won't start the burn process at all.So I don't know what's wrong, please advise!Kind regards,Jorge Wolters

I'm using PE14 to convert MOV files (from iPhones) to M2TS files (generated by Panasonic video cameras and edited by HD Writer AE 3.0 supplied with the camera). I have tried a few options but the files created by PE14 will not open in HDAE3. I have tried M2T - H.264 option in PE14 "Export and Share". The files created don't have the .m2ts extension. Renaming the files to that extension did not work. By the way, the codec info in VLC media player for valid M2TS files from my Panasonic is as follows: Video: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (h264) 1920 x 1090 59.94 fps Planar 4:2:0 YUV Audio: A25 Audio (AC3) (a52) 48000 Hz 384 kb/s How do I convert Quicktime MOV to the above format?

When i start the audio mixer to control the Loudness the program doesn´t work any longer. I have more then 1000 clips in the project. Is this too much??

I backed up my videos and am now using an external hard drive for storage and moved all my stuff to that drive. How can I make the video automatically find all the files in that location?

Struggling with this software right out of the gate.  I am in Organizer on the Media tab.  I have my folder structure on the left set up as "View as Tree".  I am going down my tree, looking at media and when I find a good video, I want to add to a Album I have created so when I have all my files picked, I can go create a movie.  You would think I could just right click on a media file and select "Add to Album", but I don't see any option to do that. I can't drag the file to the Album because I am in Folder view, looking at media for god's sake.  That's what you do in Folder view, right?  In an organized way, you look in your files and look for media.So I am lost as to how you can easily sift through hundreds of media files to find your material to make a movie with this software...Ok, that's my rant.  Are there any moderators present.  I am happy to be called ignorant!

I am trying to import downloaded icloud video (.mp4) into Organizer. I can directly import to Premiere Elements 14, but cannot get them into the Organizer. I get an error that the file is either already present (it cannot be found) or it is not supported. Thoughts? Thank you.

I was looking to buy a 4k camcorder, and saw that the * info said that Premiere Elements 15 is compatible with the Sony AX100, but I am not sure what that means? As they both record in the same format, so does anyone know if I can edit footage from the AX33 4K with Premiere Elements 15?

I used elements 14 to a video I took on a sony 4k action camera . I used auto tone correct and slow motion . the video looked great in the editor but when I exported it to my computer at the highest quality 4k and I played it back it looked very pixelated especially the blue sky looked horrible . my computer is hd 1080p but I wanted to capture the highest quality possible to watch on my 4k tv . is it my computer or did I do something wrong with editing or something.

The video file I am working with is a "Move Clip"; the file data said the frame size is 704 X 480, and it is a standard definition video.  When I load it into Premiere 13 for editing, the video views with the right side cut off.  When opening the project in Premiere I chose standard definition which said the frame size would be 720 X 480.  When I tried publishing the edited video in standard definition it still plays with the right side cut off.  How can I stop Premiere from loosing the right side of my video?

Hi all!I'm running trial of Premiere Elements 15 on Mac. This is first experience in this software. I need to change frame size (rotate to "portrait") but this option is disabled. Is it caused by trial or not? What to do?

Can I merge tracks from one project into another project?  Without having to render it out and re-import it, which would degrade the quality.  I Haven't found an answer in the manual.  This is easy in Sony Vegas, but I'm new to Premier Elements.  This should be a rather-common function for working, in segments, on a larger project.  I need help on this ASAP.  tx .

Using Premiere Elements 15 under Windows 10, how can I determine if my graphics card is being used?  I know I saw a menu option on my Mac, but can't seem to find it in the Windows version.-Thanks

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 7, it just went into an update.  Now it is asking for a lock code, when I copy the code it asks me to do and then click on the website, I get a messaged that the page is no longer found.  I need the lock code to be able to make a couple of DVD's for the office.  What can I do to get this code.Thank youTeri

Oh, I hope someone can help. My sanity is at stake here...PSE14, Windows 10.Expert mode. AVI files from my game camera. They import and play fine on the timeline and preview/clip monitor.Problem: I need to trim the first four frames from each clip. No matter how I trim each clip, when I play the timeline the clips revert to untrimmed. What I have tried: In preview/clip monitor I advance four frames and set the IN point. Right-click and select Insert to add pre-trimmed clip to timeline. On the timeline the clip appears to be trimmed. I repeat for remaining clips. When I play the timeline the clips are no longer trimmed. I have also trimmed by dragging from the end of each clip on the timeline. All clips appear trimmed until I play the timeline and they are no longer trimmed.I have also trimmed each clip on the timeline by advancing four frames and splitting, then deleting the unwanted four frames. Same story, all clips appear trimmed until I play the timeline and once again all clips ar

I have an older project that was made with Photo Story 1 and have it saved to an WMV file. I am finding that it will not play on some DVD players. It will play on a computer. Can I either Convert it to a file to burn it to a DVD so that it will play on older DVD players? (I did Google it and it seems like there are some downloads to be able to do this but am hesitant to download a 3rd party offer)Or is there a way to take the movie that I have burned to disc and copy it and reburn it in a format that will play on all DVD players?Thanks

Hi,I want to render video in .mov format but all the presets in Premiere Elements 10 are set to 720x480 frame and in Advanced settings I am not allowed to increase frame size. And I cannot find any way to create my own QuickTime preset there. Is there any fix for this? What's the use of a low quality output like 720x480 anyway?Thank you

Hi,Im trying to copy+paste amharic writing into Premiere Elements 12, but it can't read the symbols (there are only squares with crosses appearing). I've already downloaded an amharic font (Keyman for Amharic | በአማርኛ ይጻፉ), so I'm now able to type amharic letters, but it doesn't work in Premiere Elements. I've seen that there are websites to change arabic letters into a format which can be read by Premiere, but I couldn't find anything similar for amharic writing. Does anyone have an idea how this could work?Thank you for your help!

The directions/help say that I should see a dialogue box when I open a new project, and the directions follow from there. However, I see no dialogue box. I currently am using premiere elements 14. When I output my 1080 p 60fps video to a blue ray disk,  my only option is interlaced at 29.97 fps. If I upgrade to version 15 can I now burn 60 fps @ 1080 P? Thanks for a quick response.
